Awful sequel to an amazing book. This book felt like the author was in a very dark place when he wrote it. Lots of rape. Wayyyyy too much rape, like wtf. I wish I had never read this and only read The Woodsman.
I first read this when i was 13 or 14 years old. And I really thought this was one of those historical romances featuring Native Americans which really fascinated me as a teenager. But I was wrong, totally wrong, all i remember was i cried a bucket of tears after reading this one. :'-(
