Ryan Richmond has dreamed about going to space since the age of seven. Reading space updates—and seeing pictures of Neil Armstrong on the lunar surface in National Geographic—was the ignition of this dream.
At nineteen he sold his first company and employed the remnants of the Russian Space Program, three of the best space brains in the world. In his twenties he founded and sold two more companies and hired the most outstanding scientists and engineers from the European Space Authority. During his thirties, after selling his third company, he invested heavily in Internet start-ups, like Google, netting billions. Then he patiently waited until NASA’s shuttle program came to an end and contracted the best brains in the U.S. Space program.
Now, Ryan Richmond is in his fifties, has angered, fought with, and shot at many of the World’s most powerful countries from Space, and is not welcome in the Northern Hemisphere.
Ryan doesn't really care, as he is millions of miles away, enjoying himself flying around the solar system, and about to return to Planet Earth.

The America one series is an amazing series. It is a combination of science fiction and non-fiction. The book is about how one person with a dream goes to live in space, for many years. The story is told for the point of view of 5 characters all of which go into space. There only problem is that the government wants to restart NASA and they want a company to base it on. Can they get into space before the company gets taken over? I loved this book, it is an exciting Sci-fi with many twist in the plot. The book is very interesting because it describes living in space very realistically. The company has the newest technology of the time (if you don’t want the book to get spoiled then don’t read this) and when they return to earth the whole world is on the brink of a space war. Almost every country in the world ask for there help. The way there leader responds to this threat is hilarious. The author does a great job combining humor with seriousness.
I started reading this series last year and thought the first two books of the series were outstanding. Great character development and story line where the author used both fiction and real headlines to develop a very believable story.
The third and fourth books were not at the same level, though they were still good books. I was a little disappointed in the ending...perhaps TI is leaving questions unanswered so he can write another book in the series.
Overall, good book, very good series and I would recommend it to any sci-fi fans.
When i first ran across this series I was not very interested. I was looking for something to read while on the treadmill and picked it up again. I have now finishes book 4 and will soon start #5. While I loved his other series this one hooked me right off. The American spirit of accomplishment is found throughout this book. Great combination of political thriller, top-notch Science Fiction and just a good story-line. Wade knows how to hook a reader
Parts of the book are great and parts are so technical that a scientist would have problems understanding. I don't see how Wade could come up with the story, what a genius. You can't put the book down.
I don't rate very many books at 5 stars but I do this one! This is a great end(?) to a most interesting series!!! This was very much enjoyed and kudos to the author.
I loved this series, well written with attention to detail. Characters that pull on every string you have. This series makes you want to be part of the space process
