It’s been six months since Olivia Nolan passed away, and change is brewing in the small town of Whiskey Springs, Vermont. Babies are on the way, secrets are surfacing, and the population—famously stuck at 999 for decades—is about to spike.
Fallon and Riley’s son, Owen, is almost four and suddenly has a busier social calendar than his parents. Their dream home is under construction, but Fallon feels restless. When she decides to start a ski school and winter tourism company, she seeks help from Dave, Andi’s youngest son, who is back home with his pregnant girlfriend, Becky. Everyone expects Dave to rent Billie’s house and finish school. But Dave isn’t looking for handouts, and working with Fallon sets off unexpected sparks—especially with his father.
Andi and Billie are adjusting to married life while supporting Dave in his new chapter. Meanwhile, a complicated delivery lands Marge in the hospital, revealing a surprising romance between Beth and Pete. Grappling with her frustrations about starting a family, Carol throws herself into transforming Murphy’s Law from a neighborhood bar into a next-level hotspot. And an unexpected tragedy reveals that some rivals were once close friends.
In Whiskey Springs, everyone’s connected—by blood, by friendship, by the secrets they’ve kept. As new faces arrive and old truths are revealed, the town’s heart grows bigger… and messier.
Last Call is the long-awaited fifth book in JA Armstrong’s popular Open Tab series. Brimming with humor, heart, and a hint of small-town drama, this novel welcomes you back to a place where family is chosen, change is constant, and love always finds a way.
The more and more I read about Whiskey Springs the more I fall in love with all the characters. I can’t wait to see where it goes. This is honestly one of my all time favorite series from any author.
Riley, Fallon,Andi, Ida, life continues to go forward in Whiskey Springs. Enjoy the ride as it does. More growth , more babies, more learning how life can change on a dime. Looking forward to the next installment.👍
I have loved this series, and although I read it in a day, I didn't want to get to the end. I just felt everything was coming to an end, and we would have no more Whiskey Springs, but instead, it led us to the future. It is brilliantly written with flashbacks.
This little town were everyone knows your name and business. First you need to start the series with book one to understand what is happening. I love this series. Fallon and the gang are moving forward from the past and head to the future with some new arrivals. With things changing and families coming back home and the relationship that are building, lives are moving forward. We are learning more back history of each character of how they became friends and the secrets that are kept that keeps us understanding each character. Can't wait to see what happens in the next book.
So happy to return to this crazy little town. Not much has changed since we last visited…only everything! I’d forgotten how much I loved this series, it has been a while since I read the previous books, within a few pages everything came rushing back. Armstrong has a way of creating characters that feel so real, they lead ordinary lives with everyday problems. It makes me enjoy the stories so much more, you can relate to them, imagine what you would do or how you’d react. Roll on the next one!
Well worth the wait. While not filled with as much angst, action, and small-town intrigue as in previous books, it certainly delivers some interesting backstories. This book is, IMHO, a much appreciated (and definitely not boring) breather to catch up with the characters’ (and couples’) perspectives and emotional states. And a glimpse into an exciting future on a number of levels. Well done! Very much looking forward to the next installment.
Last Call is another entry in the Whiskey Springs series with updates on the many interesting inhabitants. While Fallon and Riley remain the primary focus, the story arc in this tale adds to the back story of an increasingly large cast. In fact, the historical details rather overshadow current events. Still, this is an enjoyable addition providing long time readers a chance to reconnect with some favorite characters.
I absolutely love anything JA Armstrong writes. This book is one of my favorites of this series. It has humor, love and family whether chosen or not is always the base of this series. It’s always nice to see not everyone has the best family but the chosen family is always there.
I didn't realize how much I missed this srries— Fallon, Riley & Owen, Andi & Billie & tge whole Murphys Law crew—all of them & the quirky town of Whiskey Springs until this book reminded just how adorable they could be. It returns to its origins of sentiment & emotions post all the Olivia drama & I can't wait for more.
I was overjoyed when I first learned J.A. Armstrong was writing another story in her Open Tab series. Last Call was an excellent read. Seeing all the characters in Whiskey Springs was like putting on a nice well worn flannel shirt. I look forward to more stories in this series!
Another good book Love the storyline I just can't get enough of these characters I'm so glad I started reading this series I can't wait to read the next book I recommend this book I recommend the series I would advise you to start from the beginning You won't be disappointed
This was another great sequel to the Whiskey Springs saga. It is intriguing and funny. The comradery between the town's residents was just beautiful. I'm so glad there's another upcoming sequel 😊
I need this series to become a tv series badly! I need these characters in my life everyday! Such a joy to read these characters and their stories. I want to live in Whiskey Springs! One of my favorite authors. I can’t wait for the next book!
I wish I was articulate enough to do justice to this 5th book in the series. Life does not always return to normal, nor always get easier when someone dies. Learning there are secrets seems to make things more confusing. I loved getting to visit Murphy's Law and all the characters that visit the bar. Hope there will be another book!
