A story about SECOND CHANCES, TOUGH CHOICES, AND THE COURAGE TO FOLLOW YOUR OWN HEART
Callie finds herself standing at a crossroads with an impossible choice to make. With hearts on the line, will she have the courage to listen to her own, and take a chance on her happily ever after, or will she let love slip away?
Callie DuPonce has never liked surprises. Living in the Adirondacks with her friends and family, she has everything she needs. So when she found out she was pregnant this summer, it was enough of a surprise to last a lifetime.
But these things tend to come in threes. Her ex-boyfriend Parker—the one she never told about the baby? Yeah, he's back, and he's determined to make it work.
As if that weren't enough, Callie finds herself falling for her lifelong friend, Tom—the sweetheart sergeant who has loved her all along.
She was ready to take on motherhood with just the support of her family and friends. But now, she's torn between her first love—the man who broke her heart when he left—and the friend she's afraid to give her heart to, the one who has been there all along.

Alyssa-Ray Bouman is a wife, mom, Christian, and licensed cosmetology teacher who somehow manages to juggle it all while chasing her wild toddler around their family farm in New Jersey. Before diving into writing, she worked as a substance abuse counselor. She loves weaving heart, humor, and just the right amount of chaos into her writing, creating characters and narratives that feel real and relatable.
When she’s not writing, she’s off on adventures with her husband, playing with their son, attempting to drink a hot cup of coffee, or trying to read a book. Her time in the Adirondacks has inspired her to bring the beauty of nature and life’s messy, meaningful moments into her stories. Somehow, between nap times and endless piles of laundry, she always finds a way to craft the next chapter—because in her world, life and storytelling are one big adventure.
This is the second book in the Will of the Heart Series. I have to say I love this one as much as I did the first. I loved the small town vibe and how I just felt totally immersed into the story and could sense the small town feel as with the characters.
This story centered around Callie as well as Tom and Parker. I loved Tom immediately, I mean how could you not!?! Parker, I was not a fan. I know a couple of times I would slam my kindle and be like Dammit Callie don’t you fall for him *meaning Parker*!
I did love Callie’s character and I felt for her. My heart hurt for her and how she was torn. Although I knew which choice I would make from outside looking in, but the way the author was able to make the reader feel the raw emotions and thoughts of Callie I do understand why she may have struggled with her decision.
This story definitely takes you on a roller coaster of emotions. I enjoyed we had the POVs of each Callie, Tom and Parker. It gives you all angles of the story. This is one you want to make time for, because it is hard to put down. The banter will have you laughing and other parts will have you in tears. If you enjoy intense, emotional put at your heart strings reads then you have to check out this book! I will be waiting for the next one, impatiently…
*ARC REVIEW* I want to say a huge thank you to Alyssa for the opportunity to read this book as an arc (advanced readers copy)
~TROPES~
-small town -slow burn -second chance -love triangle -friends to lovers -pregnancy
Question. Was anyone actually team Parker? I would like to fight anyone who was originally team Parker because what? (Also see what I did with the question if you’ve read you know 😉)
I did like the setting of this book SO much! It had such a cozy small town vibe and especially Tom’s aesthetic with the whole cabin house vibes was EPIC! I loved the vibes so much.
I really enjoy pregnancy tropes in books and this one was good. I feel the story was VERY focused on Callie’s romance and not enough on her and her baby but that was the whole point in one way. Callie figuring out what she WANTS.
The chemistry between Tom and Callie was sizzling from the beginning. Instantly I knew i’d be team Tom and was very passionate about that fact.
This book did drag on a lot for me unfortunately. I think it could have been more focused on Callie choosing Tom a lot sooner and then the progression of their relationship because to be honest Parker was infuriating me very early on. He was immature and pathetic and run at any chance he got and used WAY too many excuses. Then finding out what he did (cheating/flirty messages with his coworker) That sold it for me…
Overall this book was good but I didn’t have a huge overly emotional experience or feel very connected to the characters. As I said I would have liked it a lot more if it was focused on Tom and Callie more after she decided Tom was the one for her because let’s be real, Parker was NEVER going to be endgame.
I did think the ending had a good wrap-up with Parker, Tom and Callie all being good co-parents.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This book 🥹 I was reading it every chance I had and didn’t want to put it down. This is the 2nd book in this series. I had the honor of getting an ARC for the first one and was obsessed. I was worried the 2nd wouldn’t be as good but I was wrong. This has quickly become one of my favorite series. I love all the characters being apart of all the books. I loved Callie’s story and cried a lot lol I can not wait for Emma’s book. Thank you for the ARC!
Ok, this was just a solid romance. I laughed, I cried (Alyssa, THAT DEDICATION FOR YOUR SON 😭), I shouted, and I swooned (Team Tom forever). Some of the quotes in this book just stopped me dead in my tracks. Excellent representation of the struggles of pregnancy and motherhood.
I was given this book as an ARC and this is my honest review…
I loved everything about this book! This is a love triangle and I wasn’t sure who Callie was going to choose until it actually happened. Callie, Parker, and Tom’s story is so addicting/engaging, I was not able to put it down. Sooo damn good, Alyssa-Ray Bouman!
This is the second book in a series of 3. Read Will She Run and then read this. I mean, really you don’t need to but it makes everything better.
Be warned, this review is coming from someone who has only read the second book in the series as for some reason I couldn’t access the first book to read it before I read this one. So my view may have been different had I read them in the intended order.
Tropes: Second Chance, Slow Burn, Friends to Lovers, Small Town, Pregnancy 👀, LOVE TRIANGLE
I honestly felt for Callie. She became a mom by her ex-boyfriend who broke up with her, and she never told him, so I completely understand why upon seeing him again she would hope that he would step up to the plate. But honestly, after only reading this book by itself, I didn’t like Parker from the very beginning of the book. To me, he felt very immature and not like someone who should be jumping into the role of father. Obviously, I like how the book ends, but at the very beginning and throughout most of the book my view on Parker was mostly negative (especially after the coworker thing).
The small town that the book takes place in was so cute and felt so alive, even if it was created for the story. And Callie‘s chemistry with Tom felt like it went off with a bang, and the entire book had clear chemistry between the two rather than just a few one and done scenes. Another ARC reviewer Renee put it best in their review: “pregnant or not, he sees her, truly sees her”. I truly felt like Tom cared about her and her child no matter what, and it was believable when they ended up together rather than it feeling like they just happened to end up together at the very end.
The plot did drag on in a few places, however, I enjoyed reading all of it as sometimes it gave me a break from the main tension or problems in the story. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I plan to read the first book and add an edited space to this review to show how my opinion might have changed after seeing the story as a whole!
Overall, I do recommend this book, I just feel that if you want to read this book by itself, you will have a different opinion than if you read it in the intended order of the series.

Sweet Callie has barely had time to recover from the trauma that unfolded in book one, but she’s pregnant, so she does her best to focus on herself and her baby.
The baby’s father is her summer love- Parker- the boy who she falls for every year...the boy who leaves each fall for the next exciting assignment. She thought this past year was different, but when he left for his new photography gig in the Caribbean, Callie realized she truly was on her own and doesn’t bother telling him the big news--she didn’t want to put him in that position where he felt like he had to stay.
As the story unfolds, Callie connects with her old friend Tom- total boy next door-your local sweet and kind small-town police officer. The boy who has been a steady and warm presence in her life since they were in elementary school.
Callie and Tom get closer when he rescues her from a Thanksgiving breakdown and thus starts her inner war of who her heart wants, and who hear head thinks she should be with- if anyone!
Alyssa-Ray has done it again!! She has managed to create characters and a storyline that envelops you! I love Callie and her relationship with her twin Caiden. He is protective and always puts her first ahead of himself.
There were several times that I laughed out loud and a few times that I wanted to throw my kindle.
The way she crafted Tom and Parker is perfection. By the middle of the book, you are rooting hard for one man over the other, but- she does give them both a really nice ending, so crisis averted and my kindle is safe (be sure to read the bonus chapter).
I am not always a huge fan of the MMC giving the FMC a nickname that is used throughout, but I did like the tie-in to the nickname Sunshine, and it made me be able to overlook it’s use throughout!
Can’t wait for book #3!!! Please tell me there’s a book 3!
Will She Choose is available NOW in paperback and on Kindle Unlimted!!!
Thank you to Alyssa-Ray Bouman for the ARC copy! All opinions are my own.
Callie DuPonce thought she was prepared to face motherhood on her own, but when her ex-boyfriend Parker returns determined to win her back—and her longtime friend Tom begins to show her how love is supposed to feel—she’s forced to make an impossible choice between the past she once wanted and the future she never expected.
After ARC-reading the first book in this series and finding it so addictive, I didn’t hesitate to sign up for the second ARC as soon as applications opened. I needed to know what would happen with Callie—especially with her pregnancy hanging in the balance.
This book was incredibly easy to fall into. The writing is smooth, the pacing is gripping, and I honestly couldn’t put it down. Callie’s internal dialogue is raw and relatable, and you really understand the weight behind her choices.
As someone who grew up in a broken home, with both parents moving on and starting new families, I felt deeply invested in her story. From the very beginning, I was rooting for Parker to win her back. I wanted the best for Callie—but I really hoped that Parker would rise to the challenge and prove he was that person.
At the same time… I was so torn. Tom, even with the brief glimpses we got of him in book one, already had me feeling things. His love for Callie runs deep—pregnant or not, he sees her, truly sees her. I adore him. I wanted his happily ever after so badly, but I also didn’t want it to be with Callie. My heart just ached for him.
This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster. I had to pause so many times just to gather my thoughts or vent to someone—not because anything was wrong, but because the tension, heartbreak, and longing were just that intense. I felt frustrated, angry, nervous, joyful, and shattered all in the span of a few chapters.
I loved this story so much and can’t wait for the next installment. Thank you so much to the beautiful and talented Alyssa-Ray Bouman for giving me the opportunity to dive back into this world. It was an emotional, unforgettable ride.
I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have received an advanced copy of Will She Choose from the author! 🫶

Callie is such an incredible FMC and I think she is truly so inspirational! ❤️ I love how she always says what’s on her mind and never holds back. There also is some major drama and I was eating it up like I do with a bag of chips! 🤭 Callie is pregnant with her ex-boyfriend Parker’s child and she didn’t exactly tell him. Now he’s back in the picture and wants to win her back. Then there’s her lifelong friend Tom who has loved her forever. Now Callie is conflicted and it’s time for her to choose! 💕 The triple POV is beautiful and I loved having Callie, Parker, and Tom’s POVs! 🫶 Each of them are going through their own trials and tribulations and it provided such insight and depth! 🥰❤️ I also love that all the characters from Will She Run are back and we get to see what happens with Della and Caiden. All of these characters truly feel like family and it felt like returning home with picking up this one! 🫶
If you love small town romance, slow burn, she’s pregnant, second chance romance, friends to lovers, love triangle, mind vs heart, and a book that will leave an imprint on your heart forever then this is the book for you! 🫶
Let me start off by saying this- Will She Choose is 110% WORTH ALL THE HYPE! I have been looking forward to this book since I finished Will She Run and was wondering ‘how in the world can it get any better’, well… IT GOT EVEN BETTER! Holy smokes… I could not devour this book fast enough. When I got 70% through it, I panicked because I didn't want it to end! Callie got the story she deserved, and my heart is so incredibly happy with her ever after.
Callie and Parker have quite the history and with a baby on the way, Callie has to decide if she wants to try to make things work with the ever disappearing Parker, who chases his dreams of a traveling photographer. Deep down, she wants to believe that Parker will step up and be the dad their baby needs and the man Callie needs in their life, but she has some serious doubts. While Parker tries to prove himself worthy of Callie’s love, Tom stops hiding in the shadows and begins to show Callie the kind of life she could have with him. Tom, a police sergeant in town, has been pining for Callie since they were kids in school. Tom treats her like a real man should, and his devotion to Callie’s happiness leaves Callie’s heart at a fork in the road as the baby’s due date approaches.
I was Team Tom from the get-go, ever since Will She Run. When Tom got his moment to shine as a potential partner for Callie, I SWOONED SO HARD! Tom, sir… you are a dream… and not just one about trash pandas… IYKYK! Tom, you can also lose the handcuff key with me if you'd like!
Will Callie choose the father of her child or the man who will always put her happiness first? Get ready to have your heart ripped out and put back together.

Title: Will She Choose: Will of the Heart (Book 2) Author: Alyssa-Ray Bouman Genre: Contemporary Romance Pages: 400
Rating: 4.5⭐️/5 (rounded up!)
It’s like the universe saying, “See? Even in the chaos, you’re not alone.”
Twenty-seven-year-old Callie has spent five summer flings with Parker—the irresistibly charming, always-leaving travel photographer who bartends at her family’s tavern before chasing his next big adventure. Her family may own half their Adirondack town, but none of it matters when all she’s ever wanted is for Parker to choose her. After their last summer ends in an unexpected pregnancy, Callie decides to keep it to herself, unwilling to tie him down to a life he never asked for. Then there’s Tom—her steady, loyal childhood best friend turned small-town cop—who’s always been there, quietly loving her from the sidelines. As Tom finally steps forward and shows her what lasting love could look like, Parker returns with a promise to stay and be the father she never expected him to become. Now Callie’s heart is caught between the thrill of what once was and the security of what could be.
WILL SHE CHOOSE gave all the cozy, small-town feels, and I was living for Tom’s cabin-in-the-woods, warm flannel, dependable-guy energy. At its core, this book is about Callie discovering who she is and what kind of love she truly deserves. From the very first chapter, I was ride-or-die for Tom—his quiet loyalty, steady presence, and the way he’s always just there for Callie? Total swoon. Team Tom all the way! I also really appreciated the ending—seeing everyone step up as co-parents brought such a beautiful sense of growth and peace. A satisfying, emotional read with a heartwarming romance, a splash of drama, and that irresistible second-chance energy!
A big thanks to Alyssa-Ray Bouman for providing me with a digital ARC of this book!

I would like to thank Alyssa-Ray Bouman for this ARC opportunity!
This is an interconnected standalone, meaning that you don't have to read the first one to read this one, but it does help to have some of the small details for the overall story. Plus it has an optional closed door way to read for those who don't want the spice (which is an amazing thing for the author to offer).
Rating 5⭐ Spice options: 4🌶️ or 1🌶️
My First Thoughts I have been excited for this book since I read Will She Run. I flew through this book every time I sat down. Once I got the "decision" of this book, I could not put it down. I stayed up til 2am trying to finish it. I loved this.
“May you always chase sunsets, knowing that every ending holds the promise of a new beginning.”
What I Liked About It Will She Choose is a wholesome romance that follows Callie's story from the end of Will She Run. It's got a love triangle between an old fling and an old friend. It has a hilarious spicy scene (also closed door option that keeps the romcom). And it pulls at your emotions. I was rooting for one guy pretty much the whole time but the way this was written, I wasn't sure which way it would go. And the way it revealed the choice was super cute. I love that the series keeps the relationships consistent within each book. Overall, I really enjoyed this one and didn't want it to come to an end because I love these characters.
Who I Recommend This For? This one is for you if you like romcoms, love triangles, slow burn, small town vibes, and second chances. If you want a wholesome relationship, even with the ups and downs, then you'd enjoy Callie's relationships.
✨BOOK REVIEW✨ Will She Choose by Alyssa-Ray Bouman Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Spice: 🌶️🌶️/5
“She had to choose between what was easy and what was right. Between the boy who always left, and the man who had never once let her down.”
This emotionally rich small-town romance took me on a heartfelt ride through unexpected motherhood, tangled love, and soul-searching decisions. This book grabbed my heart and didn’t let go. Following Callie’s journey as she navigates single pregnancy, unexpected reunions, and an impossible choice between two very different men - Parker, the globe-trotting heartbreaker and her ex, and Tom, the patient, steady hometown hero and her loyal best friend who has been her rock - was emotional, raw, and so beautifully written. 💗
Tom’s cozy cabin-in-the-woods aesthetic had me swooning HARD. His quiet love and loyalty? Chef’s kiss. Meanwhile, Parker… whew. 😮💨 Let’s just say I was never Team Parker and that coworker situation sealed the deal for me. 😬
Tropes you’ll love: 💫 Friends to Lovers 💫 Second Chance Romance 💫 Love Triangles 💫 Triple POV 💫 A heroine at a crossroads 💫 Police vs. Photographer dynamics (yes, really!) 💫 Small town feels 💫 Pregnancy 💫 Slow burn
…this is definitely a story to add to your TBR. I felt every moment of Callie’s emotional tug-of-war between the past and what could be. And the setting? Absolute wintery perfection. ❄️🌲
Will she follow her head or her heart? I was turning pages like crazy to find out. I highly recommend reading book one first for full context, but even on its own, this one is a standout! Cannot wait for book 3 in the series.
Huge thanks to Alyssa-Ray Bouman for the ARC! 💕 #TeamTomForever #WillSheChoose #BookReview #RomanceReads #BookTwoBliss #Bookstagram
This series has been amazing and book two showed up and delivered just as good as the first. This one took me on such a rollercoaster of emotions throughout and kept me guessing and hoping to the very end. I had a really hard time putting this one down till I was finished I just had to know what happened!
The love triangle was so intense and emotional through each of them. For Callie and Tom the magnetic pull to each other and the deep love that was so obvious that Tom had for her was beautiful to me. I was always team Tommy, routing for the man that always had his heart on his sleeve and gave Callie it all, was there for her in all the ways, wanted her happiness even if that didn't mean his. She honestly didn't deserve him. For Callie and Parker first love is a powerful thing and you could see the love they had for each other too. I could feel how hard it was for her both men good in their own ways but who would be the right one.
This was a powerful story that kept me on my toes throughout. I cried, I laughed and broke my own heart along with her. The story was very well written and I could connect with it so much. I'm glad for the wonderful HEA in the end and I felt like it truly all worked out for everyone which was really nice. Can't wait for Emma's story next!
Will She Choose is the second in the series and oh my god if the first one didn’t pull at my heartstrings this one definitely did. Callie is the main character for this story as we learn about her life and this love triangle she seems to be in, although I don’t understand why it was so hard for her to choose. Like Caiden said “I’m team Tom” from the very beginning and boy did she have me yelling at her through my kindle because ahhhhh how could she be so blind?! The fact that she didn’t choose Tom the man who has been her best friend and secretly loved her since childhood, over Parker her summer time fling of five years had me completely boggled. If I could reach through my kindle screen and smack her silly I would have in a heartbeat. I will give her a little slack because of her pregnancy hormones and trying to determine whether to give her baby’s father chance after chance, but not much considering how many times he shoved his foot in his own mouth or stepped right in it. I absolutely cannot wait to continue this journey as we now will be jumping into the third best friend, Emma’s life and how her haunting past shapes her potential new future with Blake. Oh and…wedding bells anyone? If you know, you know.
Hello Book Besties! I'm back with another review, so without further ado here we goooo. :D
I first want to thank the amazing author for the opportunity to read and review this book. I absolutely loved book one and book two is just as incredible.
Book 2 tells Callie's story and picks up after the events of Della and Caiden's story in book 1. This story made me laugh, made me cry and made me angry at times for Callie. I don't think I've ever dropped so many F bombs when reading a story haha and that's after reading book 1.
Many times I found myself saying F--k Parker and yelling GO TOM! or TEAM TOM! Cause honestly who doesn't root for the underdog? I know I sure do! There were also often times I found myself feeling a little bad for Parker though. Absolutely adore Tom's relationship with his family.
It's amazing how close Della, Callie, and Emma are and I honestly love their friendship! I definitely recommend reading this book because honestly it is SOOOOOOO GOOOD. So yeah read it, love it, recommend it. Because you'll have a serious case of FOMO if you don't.
Okay byeeeee!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
If you love small town chaos, surprise pregnancies, and the kind of love triangle that makes you want to scream into a pillow—this is the book for you.
Callie DuPonce had her life all figured out… until the test turned pink, her ex came back hotter and more determined than ever, and her lifelong best friend started looking a little too good in that sheriff’s uniform. Cue: emotional whiplash, late-night overthinking, and me furiously flipping pages at 2AM.
We’ve got: ✔️ Second chances (messy, heartfelt, and complicated) ✔️ A cinnamon roll cop who’s been in love with her forever (Tom, marry me pls) ✔️ A broody, regret-filled ex who suddenly wants to be a dad (Parker, sir, the audacity) ✔️ Small town vibes where everyone knows your business (and probably live-Tweets it) ✔️ Pregnancy hormones. And real ones too.
I laughed, I cried, I shouted “GIRL, PICK TOM” more than once. This book is full of tough choices, big feelings, and just the right amount of “oh no, my heart.” The triple POV gives you allll the messy goodness, and by the end I was fully invested in Callie’s journey—not just to find love, but to find her self.
10/10 recommend. Bring snacks. And tissues. And a stress ball.
Thank you, Alyssa-Ray Bouman, for this ARC of Will She Choose.
Review:
I can’t say enough good things about this book! I enjoyed the plot (what a tough decision to have to make), and I enjoyed that Callie had so many people in her life willing to protect her.
This book was sweet, emotional, funny, and had a great cast of characters. I loved that the setting was around the fall/winter holidays because it gave the book a cozy feel. (Also, it made me stop thinking about this insane heat for a little while 😂 ❤️)
Will She Choose is available on Kindle Unlimited, or you can buy the paperback on Amazon!

"That was the day that I knew I’ll always love you...I always have, at every stage of our lives. From juice boxes and pigtails to braces and awkward phases, and now, as the strong, incredible woman you are today, I’ve loved you.”
Alyssa captivated me with her characters in Will She Run. This time, she not only had me falling in love with them all over again, but she had me not wanting to leave town.
In Will She Choose, we follow along Callie’s journey through pregnancy and into motherhood as she being pulled by the two men who’ve captured her heart—summer love versus childhood friend. In the crossroads, she eventually learns that fond memories don’t always promises a happy future. Love shouldn’t come with compromises and sacrifices just to be complicated. With strength, courage and realization of self-worth, Callie finally comes to a decision that only she knows what’s best for her and her child.
As I came to the end of the book, “Finally, I realize what it reminds me of. Home.” I didn’t want it to end yet, but I know it’s not over. More to come as we continue with the other characters in the next installment.
First thank you Alyssa for letting me a part of this journey as a street team member and an ARC reader.
I want to say I had to sit on this review for a day because I didn’t know where to start. I started this journey with the first in the series Will She Run which introduces you to the characters in Will She Choose Callie, Parker and Tom.
I am a firm believer that a book that could make you cry is a book you will remember for a lifetime and this is another in the series that I will never be able to forget. Callie’s love triangle while being pregnant is one where you scream every time she isn’t picking the one you would choose. I mean, the decision is OBVIOUS to anyone who wants a man who truly loves them for who they are and not one who is only there because he feels obligated.
This story was one for me where I didn’t wanna put it down. I didn’t want to stop. I just wanted to keep reading into their lives. When I tell you, this book is amazing. I wish I could give it all the stars it deserves it.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series that will continue with characters you are left wondering about.
Alyssa has got a loyal fan now, because I could easily live in the world she has created for us every day and not be mad about it. I have to say that I was nervous for this one. Only because not having read many love triangle trope stories I didn’t want my own heart(😂) broken with how it ended up. I should have known Callie, Tom, and Parker wouldn’t break me too bad!
I went through the wave of emotions. Happy and excited to see Callie pregnant and become the mom she always wanted to be. Nervous for Parker(or Tom) not to break her heart again. Anxious to see a deeper connection between Callie and Parker, and to truly see what Tom was like as a character as a whole. And of course on edge to see if Callie can truly make the decision that was best for both her and her baby.
These three put me through the wringer, but I lived, and will 💯 re-live their story again to see all the swoon worthy moments these men have to offer.
Will She Choose Book 2 in Will of the Heart Series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I need to preface this by saying that I really enjoyed Caiden and Della as a couple. Their book (Will She Run) tugged at the heart strings and set this world up🤍 & to see their characters develop even more in this story was such a treat!
But I think I truly fell in love with Callie’s story in this book😭🖤
I absolutely loved this book. Literally could not put it down once I started.
Her story encapsulates what life can be like when curveballs are thrown your way from every angle.
I found myself surprised that I didn’t get frustrated with the FMC once. I usually get irritated at some point, but Callie stuck true to who she was throughout the whole story.
-Heartfelt -HILARIOUS banter -Spicy -Swoony -Team Tom or Team Parker? -Heart v. Mind
After loving Will She Run as much as I did, I was super excited for this book. And I honestly think I love it more than the first one. This story was just amazing. It was emotional, funny, heartfelt, and healing all rolled into one. I would be laughing one minute, and bawling like a baby the next. Callie was one of those characters that was just so relatable and likable. I saw bits of myself in her, and so there was a deep emotional connection with her and the story itself. The author did a fantastic job with the writing and the plot, and while I knew who I wanted her to end up with (Team Tom all the way!!), the suspense around her decision really held right up to the point she made her choice. This book and this series as a whole, has left a lasting impression on me, and I’m so glad to have found this author. I can’t wait for the next book!
This was a very strong who will she choose romance. Callie wasn't expecting to fall pregnant with the man she thought she would never see again. That was until her ex, Parker, comes back into town and finds out he is the father. Callie doesn't know how she feels about Parker back in her life. To make things even worse, her best friend Tom is also in love with her.
Will Callie choose Parker because even though she doesn't want to get hurt by him again she knows he is trying. Or while Callie choose Tom when she finally understands that he has been in love with her since they were six and he gave her his juice box.
Book 2 in the Will of the Heart series was a very heartfelt read and just want you needed after all that happened in the first book.
I was hooked with this story from the beginning!! We get a triple pov in this story. We have Callie, Tom and Parker. We have a love triangle going on and I knew what team I was on right away! This story had all the feels with everyone not just the main characters but our side characters as well. It had sweet moments and some spicy moments. This really was a head vs. heart and when I thought I had it figured out I didn’t. This is the 2nd book in the series while you don’t need to read the first one I definitely would recommend to get more of a glimpse of everyone. I really enjoyed this book it really had me hooked to the end. I’m so excited for what’s next!
✨Talk about an emotional rollercoaster ride, but in a good way! This was my first book by this Author and it did not disappoint. I could not put it down! ✨I absolutely loved Callie and her sassiness. She was my absolute favorite character in the book. She was faced with some difficult decisions she had to make. I found myself thinking “if that was me what would I do” throughout the book. For someone who always thinks of everyone else before myself, her story hit close to home. ✨The two men in her life were so opposite. I found myself rooting for one at the beginning then decided I would root for the other one. 😁 But who does she pick? You’re going to have to read and find out! 😉
I received this as an arc, thank you for giving me the chance to read it!! Will She Choose follows Callie & her predicament of being pregnant and following her head vs her heart. This is Book 2 of the Will of the heart series, but can be read as a standalone. Once again, Alyssa-Ray has written a tear jerking, heart wrenching, but oh so beautiful book. Callie really goes through a whole wide range of emotions and she figures out if she gives Parker another chance or is Tom, her long time friend the one. I just loved this book. I laughed, cried, cringed, wanted to throw the book, hug it to my chest, I think I went on that roller coaster with Callie haha! But it was definitely worth it.
After being in a reading slump and dealing with the chaos of work, travel, and life itself, Will She Choose was everything I needed and more. I received this book as an ARC and cannot express enough how much I LOVED IT! After reading and loving Will She Run, I had no doubts that I wouldn’t love book 2 in the Will of the Heart Series. What I didn’t know was how much of an emotional rollercoaster Alyssa would have me ride the entire time.
The story changed perspectives between Callie, Parker, and Tom, as Callie navigates pregnancy and finds her own happiness. I laughed out loud, *almost* cried, definitely swooned, and wanted to reach into my kindle and punch someone like Della did in Chapter 36.
As always, Alyssa-Ray Bouman did the damn thing. I absolutely cannot wait for Will She Break to come out to find out all about Emma’s story!!
The author does it once again! This book explores heavy themes once again, but with a safe and secure feeling. While the first book dealt with levels of physical abuse and trust, this book deals with trust within relationships and the question of "what if doing the right thing isn't the right thing?" I loved Tommy so much in this, and it was nice to see his perspective as well as Callie and Parker's. I think the only reason it got 4 instead of 5 stars is that it was easy to see what was going to happen and who would be chosen, and I wanted there to be a little more questioning of that. I also missed the touch of suspense from the first book. I can't wait for the third book (there better be one!).
