He’s better at hooking up, no strings attached, and in New York City, there’s no shortage of hot guys with sick bodies who are interested in the same thing.

A Joyfully Jay review.

Thiago is billed as an erotic romance, but it was neither erotic nor romantic for me. The book is told through Nate’s first person point of view and while first person is still a favorite of mine, Nate’s mind is not at all where I wanted to be and I was not interested in listening to Thiago either. Nate works all the time, doesn’t care if people like him, has a sense of disdain for his mother and sister, and thinks that he could never be compatible with “…some foreign-born dude without a college education.” Nate’s a real prize.

The dialogue did not work for me at all—nope not at all. The book is mostly one recurring sex scene after the next with an extremely loose plot added in. On the surface, that can be okay if those sex scenes are in any way appealing. However, there was nothing that appealed to me about this book and while I can submit the entire book by way of evidence, I’ll break out some excerpts here.

Thiago has plenty of hot sexy, man on man action, so if that is what you are looking for in your m/m romance then I can easily recommend this book. It is very well written. However, while I enjoyed parts of this story, some of the story line is a little too dark for my taste. The characters definitely have flaws, maybe too many flaws and the allusion to cheating did not sit well with me either. I was glad to see that it had a happy for now conclusion, but the fact that the author chose not to really tell the reader the ending and instead chose to leave it up to the reader’s imagination left me feeling as if I were hanging with no real final conclusion to the story.

My second book by Romeo Preminger. Fans of erotica with an edge of tension, and a fantastic story... you've got to check out this author! Their most recent novel, The Manny, was pretty freakin' dark so I really wasn't sure which way Thiago was going to go, but (spoiler alert) this one's purely an erotic romance with a darker streak. Still with a fabulous story. And just as beautifully written as I've come to expect from this author.

This is one of those books that leaves you wondering, do I like it or do I not like it. I honestly still can not answer that question. I have some really mixed feelings for this book that is for certain.

This book was on the different scale. I liked it because there is some really good sexy scenes but I did not like it because the type of relationship that Thiago and Nate have together.

The sex between them is off the charts but the relationship between them is not so much. I felt gay this book was more on the lines of being a violent one not only mentally but physically also. The way these two men treated each other and then apologized for their bad behavior immediately afterwards has me leaning more towards their relationship being one of mental abuse towards one another.

So yeah I am on the up and up on whether this was a good read or not. I will be honest that I am leaning more towards the not so much liking it because yes the sex was hot but the abuse they dish out to one another is sooooo not.

I will think about my feelings towards this book I am guessing for some time to come. The only thing I can suggest is if you want to make a biased opinion on this read, you will have to read it for yourself.

Was given this galley copy for free for an open and honest review

Fast Paced Read

From page 1 to the very last page, this is a non-stop, fast-paced story. Nate meets Thiago and things heated up immediately. It's not always a smooth ride for these two but that's the same with every couple on the planet. The characters felt real while living real lives with real jobs.

I fully enjoyed this story but it felt a bit rushed in the last few chapters. Some areas I would have loved to explore more, like Thiago's family and his sister, but I can understand time constraints and trying to be within a certain amount of words / pages. The dialogue does get overly sweet on repeat during their activities, but I just chalk that up as part of their personalities.

If you want a fast-paced steamy story, then Thiago is worth checking out.

Thank you!

I enjoyed this book! It’s exactly the kind of book I expected it to be! It was full of delicious M/M sexual action. The book has a great storyline & the characters are culled from almost real life. I wouldn’t say it was overall romantic but the underlying story was how one man can rock your world into something you never expected to happen!!

The story was sweet in a roughly written way. I enjoyed the characters and the basic premise of the story. I just had some trouble following along with the fights of all things! I'm going to guess that's the hot blooded latino in Thaigo and men being men. If the writing was a little smoother it would be a winner!

OK!!!!

Lots and lots of sex. I ended up flicking through pages to find the storyline. If you like hot sex scenes on a continuous loop, then you'll love this book.

3,5 heart review by Roberta

This book started off with a bang and kept going. By Bang…I mean…Holy Hannah…this was pure Erotica. Don’t get me wrong…there was a pretty good story involved. Two Men who come from different walks of life meet and start a relationship. Nate and Thiago…these two men who were so very different who found their soul mate…it was nice but truly there was lots and lots of sex between them. I mean…A LOT OF SEX!!! A really healthy portion of the story is sex. Don’t get me wrong…it was really well written and done perfectly for an erotic romance novel. I guess, I just missed that this was an erotic romance and that’s on me as I didn’t really look at the tags.

The story of how Nate and Thiago meet and started this love affair is kinda cute…Thiago working as a security guard at the building where Nate works…sweet. The first time that they are together…HAWT!! Then comes the part where they both play the waiting game and then trying to find a happy balance in their relationship…that takes hard work. Nate never thought that he’d be the relationship type of guy and/or if it does happen…it’ll be later in life Then to fall for Thiago the way he has…well that has him off balance. Seeing as how this story is told from Nate’s POV…we only get his take on the story. Nate is this 32-year old man who’s Father walked out on his family when Nate was six and his mother and sister have never recovered from the loss. Nate has decided that his career will take the number 1 spot in his life and he’ll make his money and retire early and really start to live again…well…that is perfect for what Nate wants. To truly just focus on his career and allow his personal life to just be about the hook ups until he was ready for the relationship.

Thiago is a young man from Brazil who is in the country illegally and just trying to make a living. He’s living with 2 other guys and his work is screwing him over. To find a guy as good to him as Nate is something that Thiago can’t even imagine could be his. Thiago is a good man who has had to do somethings that he’d rather not have, but he doesn’t regret his actions as they kept food on the table and a roof over his head. Thiago wants so much for his life and finding Nate has been an unexpected surprise. Something that he wants and yet, it’s hard to for Thiago to be with someone who has so much and he’s struggling so much. I like that even though Thiago is struggling…he’s doing his best to make things work between them.

Now, I have to say that these two men really need to work on their communication. I get that you get angry and you need to walk away from the situation…but really, you also need to adult enough to talk things through. But, that could be one of my really big pet peeves. Speak to each other and figure things out…but I guess, you’ve got to have something to give the characters some issues.

Overall, this was a pretty good story. I enjoyed it. I will say that if you want to have a steamy afternoon read, this is your story.
