What if reality wasn’t something you were stuck inside… but something you could play with?
Reality Is Optional is a mind-opening, heart-expanding field guide to living as the author of your own experience. Rooted in the teachings of Abraham-Hicks and infused with the playful power of imagination, this book helps you align your mood, master your energy, and wake up to the wild magic hiding in plain sight.
This is not a book about escaping life. It’s about realizing that life was never locked in the first place.
Inside, you’ll
Why mood is the dial (and you’ve had the remote all along)
How to use emotional guidance as your GPS for joy, abundance, and clarity
A fresh take on manifestation that doesn’t require straining, scripting, or faking a smile
Wildly funny, soul-true reflections on mastering contrast and loving your “mess”
The most important lever for shifting reality (it’s not what you think)
Whether you're brand new to Law of Attraction or a seasoned frequency surfer, this book meets you at the edge of your own expansion—and invites you to keep floating forward.
Because when you remember that reality is optional, everything becomes possible.
I can’t fathom how this book has such high ratings.
I hated the writing style, the pictures, and the nonchalant “just be happy you idiot” advice without actually teaching anything about how to achieve the mindset. Just - do it. It wasn’t poetic or creative, just a bunch of rambling nonsense. Someone suggested AI wrote it but I think that’s unfair to AI.
This is the happiest a book has ever made me feel. I started out in a dreary dungeon and was rescued by someone laughing and honking in a shimmering rainbow car with a smile like pure sunshine. It was wonderful journey. I didn’t want to rush, so I restarted it all over again for the joy of it (and to highlight ..everything..). And it feels like jumping into a ball pit full of bubbles that float you into the air with a wonderful friend and when they pop you can’t help but smile when he giggles. And we arrived at joy’s doorstep, all I had to do was allow the door to open. This book feels like bubbles, sunshine and a hug from your inner self. But it’s so much more than that. Like I said, I highlighted just about everything and there is so much gold here. It’s a perfect balance of funny and lighthearted, weird and wonderful all bundled up with examples and incredible guidance. It’s a mix of lighthearted and silly and deeply heartfelt, the bubbles help you float and the heart … get out the tissues, you may need those.
For example, let me just share a few nuggets that I personally enjoyed, but there are so many that range from all manner of wonderfully silly to heartfelt:
“If I were the final boss of my own limitations, what move would I not see coming?” ⭆ Radical joy. Just straight-up choosing to feel awesome for no reason. That’d break the game’s code and crash your resistance in a shower of sparkles.”
“When you’re vibing right, money gets curious. It peeks in the window like, “Y’all having fun in here?” And you’re like, “Yeah, but bring snacks.” And it does.”
“If I already had way more money than I knew what to do with, what dumb fun thing would I do next?” ⭆ You’d buy your girl a rainbow-shaped hot tub, order a diamond-encrusted journal labeled “Silly Sh*t That Works,” and fund a psychedelic sock line that somehow saves bees.”
“You don’t have to hustle your way to worthiness. You don’t have to believe in your dream fully before you’re allowed to enjoy today. You don’t even have to answer the call of ‘reality’ unless it’s holding snacks and winking. You are not here to fix yourself. You’re here to remember the signal you came with. Your mood is the remote. Your joy is the password. And your vibe is the only algorithm that matters.”
and later..
“So if it’s not lighting you up, change the channel. Mood is the remote. It’s the only setting we truly have control over.”
“I’m not just a participant in this life—I’m the radiant architect of it. Not to prove my worth—but to feel it. It shows me that I am a magnificent, marvelous masterpiece. It shows me that I have depth beyond description. That I am anointed—constructed from, made of—pure loving light. It shows me that I only care about love, passion, exhilaration, deep peace, and joy. That only in those places am I truly dealing with anything that matters. It shows me unequivocally that I do not care about one single thing that doesn’t ring my bells. I remember that I care only about what makes me come alive. That everything else is background noise.”
How can you read that and not feel worthy?
It hurts to not add more that I loved, but I promised myself I would behave.
The emotional guidance scale at the end of the book resonated emotionally with me and was simpler and easy to understand for me than the Abraham hicks scale that I had found confusing before. If you haven’t heard of Abraham Hicks they have lots of YouTube videos and books if your interested and is what brought me to Jeff Utter and his Facebook group and this wonderful book.
This is a wonderful book, easy to read and can be read in an afternoon, which is always pleasant. I’m looking forward to any more books he writes, self help or fiction I would relish it all.
I could say a lot more about this and will probably remember something else I wanted to say later, but thank you Jeff Utter for pouring your giddy bubbling heart out to us, what an experience from a wonderful book.
I enjoyed reading this book even more than I thought, and I knew it was going to be a winner anyway! The author gently takes you through the emotional journey of creating your own life as you want it to be, or better, as you want it to feel. Jeff will talk you through each phase of manifesting your desires. No matter where you are in that journey, whether you know what you want but you don't know to get it, or you don't even know what you want but feel that something is missing, he will show you the ropes, while making you laugh and letting you go wild with your imagination.
The whole book is fun, light-hearted and full of little pearls of wisdom. Jeff's language is one made of colorful expressions, and fun, happy, wild imagery. It calls for roaring laughter, happy tears and those big sighs of relief we want to do much, at the end of a hard day. It's definitely one of those books you want to keep on your bedside table, to read over and over, when life comes to you with a question. Whether you heard about the Law of Attraction yesterday for the first time, or you've been studying it for years, this book is a little gem you'll love keeping in your pocket!
For everyone trying to make their dreams a reality and feeling stuck. Stuck sucks and is frustrating. Lol Sometimes we just have to let our hair down and relax into the perfect manifestation. This short book was a wonderful reminder. Thank you Jeff Utter for the boost.
This book was written entirely by AI. The promotions are all made by AI, the cover art is AI, the author can't even write a single comment without relying on AI. Listening to him actually speak just confirms his ignorance. This is the worst excuse for spiritual jargon that's ever popped up on my feed.
