Leo Roa is an aspiring young journalist chasing the scoop of the century through a series of goofy galactic adventures. Angry alien pets, galactic terrorists, space-pirates, and plenty of curvaceous creatures abound along the way. Written and illustrated by "Metabarons" artist Juan Gimenez, this satirical and humorous ride through the future (and the past!) delivers the graphic style and virtuosity you would expect from this master of the form.
Aclamado historietista argentino que desarrolló su carrera tanto en Argentina como en Europa. Murió en su Mendoza natal tras haber contraído el coronavirus en España, donde vivía hacía décadas.
A meandering, juvenile and largely incomprehensible story, coupled with artwork that was well executed but very derivative of Moebius' work (which seems to be standard for most European comics).
Great art but an unfortunately jumbled story. Doesn't feel like an incredibly unique universe either, after reading Jodorowsky's comics (which Gimenez worked on in part). Still a fun read, but definitely a lot of missed potential.
