I just realized that I have been doing very little blogging lately. Blame it on time spent making socks and mittens for various people. I love doing colourwork, where you use several different yarns at the same time – have to concentrate! But this morning I sat down and started Kiss of Christmas Magic: 20 Pranormal Holiday Tales of Werewolves, Shifters, Vampires, Elves, Witches, Dragons, Fey, Ghosts and More – (Whew! What a mouthful!) Let’s just call it Kiss and go from there!
Loving paranormal and Christmas stories, well, what a fun read this will be!!

The first story, which I read this morning, is Caribou’s Gift by Eve Langlais. Eve is, of course, one of my favorite light and breezy paranormal romance writers, so it was a pleasure to return to Kodiak Point, Alaska to meet yet another fun and funny couple. This time we meet Kyle, the utterly vain Caribou who has no intention of pulling Santa’s sleigh in the Christmas Parade – until an utterly sweet and adorable little Cougar girl, Gigi, steals his heart – and her utterly lovely, sweet and adorable mom, Crystal, makes him realize that, man card aside, he will do anything to make Gigi smile. And Crystal agree to be his. Cute and cuddly, all the way around! I will keep reading this collection through the holiday when I get a moment, and I recommend you get yours as well!

I'm giving this book a 3 star rating because there were only a hand full of story's that I really liked. The rest were either of lower quality or not worth reading at all.

Kiss of Christmas Magic was a delicious holiday treat (20 stories) offered, for a limited time, for the low price of 99¢. Not all of the stories focused on Christmas, but they all had a wintery feel, which was perfect for this time of year. It gave me the opportunity to read stories by many new2me authors; some I'll follow, some I won't.

This former soldier isn’t about to play the part of a reindeer in a parade–until he spots the hot single mom in charge of it.
I'm a big fan of Eve's writing. This short is book 3.5 in her Kodiak Point series. I'll definitely be starting at the beginning and following this series.
Mandy M. Roth ~ Hunted Holiday: A Vampire Romance ★★★☆☆
Holidays suck–Dani would rather spend her time enforcing paranormal law on the streets of Chicago.
Believe it or not, this is the first story I've read by Mandy Roth. This story piqued my interest enough to see if it was part of a series, but it doesn't appear to be. I felt the story started off great. I liked all of the characters. But, the second half felt very rushed and disjointed. But, I liked her writing style and will look at some of her other works.
Viola Rivard ~ Lost In Winter ★★★☆☆
Lost in the snow-locked mountains with her niece, a young woman finds hope in a handsome, enigmatic bear shifter.
(New2me author) I really liked Viola's writing style and will look for add'l works. The story was short, but sweet.
Deanna Chase ~ Kissed by Temptation ★★★½☆
Ordered to a holiday sorority party by the angelic council, Mati’s night turns from bad to worse when a demon appears to take a new angel recruit to Hell.
(New2me author) I liked this short. I'm a fan of stories featuring demons vs angels.
Michele Bardsley – Bear Witness ★★★☆☆
When Gretchen goes on the run with her murdered sister’s baby, only Rafe has the skills to keep her safe from the superhuman hunters who want her dead.
I enjoyed this intro to Pearson Security and look forward to reading more.
V. M. Black – A Heart in Winter ★★☆☆☆
Lady Marston is dying–but a mysterious doctor claims that he can save her life. At what cost to her love and her family will come the cure?
(New2me author) This rating is a case of "It's not you, it's me". This wasn't bad, but not my cuppa.
Aubrey Rose & Molly Prince ~ Alpha's First Christmas ★★★☆☆
When Natalie discovers that the Scraptown Pack has never celebrated Christmas, she decides to convince their leader, her mate, Hutch, to do something about it.
(New2me authors) This was a cute story. I liked the writing and may pursue other books by these authors.
Terah Edun ~ witches shall rise ★★☆☆☆
Witch. Daughter. Queen. Katherine is a witch with a problem, the holidays have come up, and she knows bad blood with the fae shall rise.
(New2me author) I didn't care for this short.
Carina Wilder ~ A Christmas to Bear: A Wolf Rock Shifters Novella ★★★½☆
Aria heads to the Wolf Rock for a quiet Christmas. But an encounter with the polar bear shifter Lucian turns all those plans upside down.
(New2me author) This was cute, humorous short. I liked the author's writing style and may check out more of her Wolf Rock Shifters series.
Cristina Rayne ~ Shadows Beneath the Falling Snow ★★☆☆☆
A single touch by the powerful elven king Kirion could reveal a secret Princess Miriel and her family have desperately kept for centuries.
(New2me author) I just couldn't get into this one. It's probably another case of "It's not you, it's me".
Chloe Cole ~ Home for the Howlidays: A Montana Wolves holiday novella ★★★★☆
In a story of homecomings and second chances, Niklaus returns to the town–and the woman–he swore he’d never see again.
(New2me author) I really enjoyed this short. I look forward to reading more in Chloe's Montana Wolves series.
Michelle M. Pillow ~ Everlastingly ★★★½☆
On the run, Maura seeks refuge in an abandoned farmhouse, where the signs keep pointing to Jack, whose very name fills her with longing.
This was an interesting ghost story. Parts were a bit confusing and hard to follow, but that was done intentionally, I'd imagine, so that we can experience Maura's confusion.
Shawntelle Madison ~ The Hunter's Moon ★★½☆☆
Kaden will do anything to protect his pack, including saving a dying werewolf hunter. But Cynthia would rather take him down than become his mate.
I really liked Alpha Kaden, but Cyn I did not. Maybe if I read the entire serial (Windham Werewolves) I'd feel differently, but she kinda ruined this one for me.
Angie Fox ~ A Ghostly gift ★★★☆☆
When a spirit stirs up trouble in her friend’s holiday shop, Verity and her dead gangster friend discover a mystery a eight decades in the making.
Verity sees ghosts and she inadvertently releases a long-dead gangster. It was a decent short.
Mimi Strong ~ Love Singer ★★☆☆☆
A struggling musician discovers she’s a witch who can cast spells with her songs. Or at least that’s what her sexy professor says.
(New2me author) I didn't much care for this one.
J. S. Hope ~ Lord of Misrule Vol. One ★★★☆☆
Reporter Alessandra is in Venice chasing the story of her career, but she isn’t prepared for the passion and excess of the Saturnalia Festival–or the gorgeous cult leader Sebastian Assante.
(New2me author) I liked this one, but it was a bit disappointing to have another serial short in the anthology. It's really hard to get the gist of a story when you only have a single snapshot of it. I did like the writing though.
Jessa Slade ~ Blood Deep ★★★☆☆
A reporter searching for her missing mother finds a doorway to a realm where only a 700-year-old vampire can make her believe what she sees…and feels.
(New2me author) I liked the author's writing style. I have several of her other books TBR and look forward to checking them out shortly.
Dawn Michelle ~ Cold Winter’s Bite ★★★☆☆
Hunter has found the perfect girl to be the guest of honor at his holiday getaway. But can he sink his teeth in her before she sets her claws in him?
(New2me author) This was an odd, yet somewhat interesting story about shifters. Hunter and his partners are about to go on their annual hunting trip. This year, their prey just might bite back. It was easy to predict what would happen, but it didn't take away from the story. This was a hard short to rate for me b/c half the time I was shaking my head at the weirdness of the writing/story and the other half I was enjoying it. So, I'll settle on 3 stars.
Lola St. Vil ~ Dangerous Distraction ★★★☆☆
An angelic proposal goes awry in a most unexpected way.
(New2me author) This was a decent short. I liked the author's writing style and may check out her other works.
Jessica Ryan ~ Breaking The Stag ★★★★☆
Celeste is alone and trying to pick up the pieces of her life when she meets a mysterious and sexy stranger who has been there her entire life.
(New2me author) I really enjoyed this short. It felt long, but other stories in the anthology were longer. In it we got to know Celeste and the mysterious boy she meets one winter. I look forward to reading more by this author.
Once averaged, this anthology was a ★★★☆☆-read for me. I really enjoyed having this extensive anthology on-hand to read each night during the holidays. Most of the stories were a joy to read while some were a bit challenging to get through. But, I cannot complain. The price was perfect and, as I mentioned, it gave me the chance to check out some new2me authors.

I've only just begun to read this box set and can already tell it's going to be awesome. Will continue to add more reviews as I read this set. So far all 5 star reviews.
Caribou's Gift By Eve Langlais 5 Stars
Missions to be completed
Crystal and her daughter Gigi moved to Kodiak’s Point to get away from and Ex named Malcolm. Kyle is a Caribou asked to play Rudolph in the annual Christmas parade. He says no but waiver’s a little after meeting Crystal who is in charge of the parade. It’s the one thing her little girl is real looking forward to. Kyle meet Gigi by accident not knowing who her mother is and is instantly enchanted by this little slip of a girl. Now Kyle thinks of everything in terms of missions and one of them it to have Crystal. Another is to keep smiles on Gigi face. Lighthearted and funny, deadly, exciting and an all-around fabulous story.
Hunted Holiday: A Vampire Romance By Mandy M. Roth 5 Stars
Quick Quirky Love story
Very enjoyable story about Dani a slayer (Preternatural Enforcer) and her vampire boss. And Dani’s friend Mimi whose goal is to bring the joy of the holiday back in to Dani’s life. It’s been a long time since she had holiday spirit, because bad things always seem to happen that time of the year. Her boss (Cornell) who happened to build a house right across the street from her, is one hot sexy off limits Vampire. But Dani can’t stop thinking about him. This is a very enjoyable love story with a HEA and no cliffhangers.
Lost in Winter by Viola Rivard 4.5 Stars
Shifter HEA
Lost this short self-contained story about a woman who tries to save her niece from abuse and runs with her, only to have her car die. And said niece says to her she’s not afraid to die. They see a fire down below and walk to it in the cold winter night. Finding the fire and cave a small bear until papa bear shows up. Well written and enjoyable to read.

Sorority party from hell
Mati has to watch a new Angel for her sister, helping her to get acquainted with her life. But the sorority party they go to turns into a nightmare with switching partners every ten minutes. Keeping track of her and keeping a demon away is a chore. This is a cute HEA that’s also part of a series.

Turn around is sometimes fare play
Loved this heartwarming story of a lonely bear shifter and a human woman as well as a step-sister whose only goal is to protect her daughter. Action packed with some romance. After reading this story I had to go check out others by this author. Well written and very entertaining self-contained HEA story.

The kiss of life or death, Heart or Home
This is a very touching and well written story that was well told. A cure but at what cost. Is the cure worth losing her family and love? And will the cure take away her desire to stay with her family? I truly enjoyed reading this wonderful heartfelt story.

Emotionally delicious
Broken but not beaten is what Nicklaus Maslov finally figured out when he was summoned home by his Alpha and father. His one true love having been left behind for three years only to see her on his first day back and all the emotions come tumbling back. Well written and very touching HEA.

Hunted Holiday - Just what every girl wants for Christmas...the bad guys tied up with a big bow.
I love Mandy's books and have bought and read a lot of them in the last few years. This one was given to me for an ARC review and arrived in my email last night just as I was about to buy it. I read it in a few hours and irritated my partner no end - I was so absorbed in the book I didn't hear a word he said or even notice when dinner was put in front of me.
This is the story of Dani Malloye, Slayer - sorry! Paranormal Law Enforcer, who hates Christmas for very good reasons. Her best friend Mimi thinks the fact that Dani hasn't celebrated Christmas since she was 13 years old is some kind of challenge, but in the ten years since vampires slaughtered her family, Dani's pain at this time of year has not diminished.
Cornell Sutton is Dani's boss at the Chicago Bureau of Paranormal Investigation and a stickler for the rules and regulations which govern their working life. He is also a 300 year old born vampire who has watched over his mate without her knowledge, since she was 18 and has spent the last five years as close to her as he could get without actually being with her, even going so far as to build a huge replica of his Gothic mansion home, complete with gargoyles and pet hellhounds, on the three plots next door.
Watching Dani building a snowman with an unusually positioned carrot and having fun making snow angels with her friend, he is goaded by his friend Finn into taking action. He is going to vampire-up and finally claim his mate...
This is a great short story for the season of goodwill, forgiveness and hope and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. As is typical of Mandy's books, it is written with great humour and had me laughing out loud about the zucchini (no, I won't tell, you'll have to read it yourself), affection, great characters and of course, the HEA. Mandy always manages to pack a lot of information on background and characters into a small space, so you always feel like you have as much of the whole story as you can get. Like a lot of her other single books, this is a stand alone story which could easily become a series I would happily read.
I very rarely give 5 stars to a book, but I really loved this one and, like most of her other books, will read it again and again.

I got this anthology for 99 cents and figured I didn't have much to lose. Even if only 1 story was good I would have gotten my money's worth. I read probably half of the stories in this book and there were 3 or 4 that I really enjoyed (pretty much all of the shifter stories were very enjoyable) and a few that were just ok and then others that the blurb didn't grab me so I skipped. My favorite was A Christmas to Bear, I would have loved to read that story as a full length novel but the novella was very good. I also really enjoyed Caribou's Gift, at first I thought the premise was going to be cheesy but it was actuall quite good and I may look into the other books in that series! In any event, I definitely got my 99 cents' worth and there were some nice little stories to read before the holiday!

I have reviewed most of the stories I have read on their own pages.
Witches Shall Rise - Terah Edun Katherine Thompson is the younger daughter of a queen witch. There was lots of complicated backstory here. Katherine has a boyfriend who is Fae and apparently she does not know exactly what he is. Queen Mom pairs Witch and Fae to spend 3 days together to get to know each other and foster cooperation. Katherine is paired with an accused but not punished murderer. Annoying spelling errors (no instead of know) kept pulling me out of this story.
I finally finished this book. There were some stories I liked and some I totally hated.

very few were ok- the one from Eve Langlais was funny, the rest just terrible and amateurish. on top of bad writing, women are presented as weak, willed and otherwise, and just something that hero must save or watch over, like a child in grown up body. f that.

Lost in Winter - Viola Rivard (5 STARS)

Caitlin and her niece Sophia get stranded in the mountains on a back road , in the deadly cold of a winter night .In their fight to stay alive they team up with a stranger to trek through the woods. The stranger is a Hot , yet Gruffly Stoic Bear Shifter named Winter and he has his son Cody Tagging along.
Heartbreaking Secrets ,Dangerous things lurking in the Darkness of the woods and matters of the heart threaten to halt their little voyage to the unknown.
I love that viola is venturing out of the were shifter territory. Don't get me wrong I love her wolf stories , but she creates such rich characters that you Crave to know their backstories.
Lost in winter is filled to the rim with Action , Heartwarming emotion, Laughable moments and a beautifully written love scene.
I would love for Winter & Caitlin's story to continue , because I felt it was a bit rushed . Even though I loved this adventure and we got an epilogue . I think there is a lot more to be told about this growing family, but I'll leave that all up to Viola.

Dani and her best friend Mimi are part of the CBPI.( Chicago Bureau of Paranormal Investigation) The last thing on Dani's mind is being in the Christmas spirit .She'd rather kick some Paranormal Butt. One person on her mind , her hunky boss, Vampire Cornell Sutton. She doesn't think he'll give her the time of day, but he always makes sure she's alright and he's moved in next door . Is that convenient , because he wants her or is he protecting her from unknown harm.
I loved how every vamp has a natural scent , like apple pie. I actually had a fun time reading this novella . It was cute , very funny with some action , suspense and a whole lot of sexy romance.
Kissed by Temptation - Deanna Chase (5 Stars)
Sex witch , Spy Mati doesn't want to be at the Wicca Delta Mu's Kiss of Holiday Magic Soiree, but she's ordered to protect an angel recruit. Thank the heavens above that her Demon Hunting ,Incubus Boyfriend Vaughn is there to help. If she thought her night was bad already , it's about to get a hell of a lot worse.
Enter Demon's , Incubus boyfriends, magic enchanted bracelets and portholes into different dimentions.
This story kept me entranced within it's very hilarious and smolderingly sexy romp around a sorority party filled with spells , charms and lots of dark magic lurking around every corner. I loved the ending between Madi and Vaughn. It was romantic and heartwarming .

Bear Witness - Michelle Bardsley ( Pearson Security #1) (5 Stars)
Gretchen is nearly killed after rescuing her murdered sisters baby. She wakes up in a vegas hospital, Broken , without the baby and in terrible danger . Until her savior , A bear shifter named Rafe takes charge , because the killers out to get her are all inhuman.
This story actually made me cry at certain points within these pages. There is a lot of action, suspense , emotional turmoil and heartache, but also romance .
I will be reading more from this series in future.
A Heart in Winter - V. M. Black (3 Stars)
( A story of Aethereal Bonds)
Sarah is dying .She's tried every remedy and superstition known to man, but nothing works and she has given up hope. In walks Dr. Don Argemirus a handsome vampire with a hidden agenda and her world is changed for better or worse.
I really tried to like this story. It was beautifully written , but it kind of wrecked my heart. Sarah would have been torn from her love either way.
Alpha's First Christmas - Aubrey Rose & Molly Prince

(**Might want to read Alpha's last fight & It's sequel Alpha's last Chance first)
Natalie is feeling like an outsider within her new mate Hutch's pack. Until she figures out these misfits have never celebrated Christmas .She wants to organize a party , but her Grinch of a husband is not into the holiday spirit. Will this be a Joyous Christmas they will never forget or will it end in disaster.
This was a story filled with pulse spiking action & adventure. funny wit , romance , emotional heartache . yummy animalistic love scenes and some tough alpha male fighting scenes.
I enjoyed every minute !!

I LOVED ♥ this Read ! It's filled with romance , Angsty Heartache , Sarcastic witty banter , Action in and out of the bedroom ,Drama and a whole lotta sexy, mouthwatering Polar Bear Shifter.

I liked this unique emotional ghost love story with Suspense/Thriller elements to it .
A Ghostly Gift - Angie Fox (Southern ghost hunters mysteries) (3 stars)
Virity a ghost hunter must reunite a pair of war torn lovers before they are doomed to spend eternity apart. With the help from the gangster she mistakenly poured out of an urn in her yard.
It's an old fashioned gangster love story involving ghosts within this century and those past. I enjoyed all the action , comedy , suspense and emotion filled love story.
Love Singer - Mimi Strong (5 Stars)
Zebrina has lost her mojo for singing , until she finds out from her music teacher Arturo (Actually a wizard) that she's a song witch, and he can help her get her mojo back.
Wait until you find out the way she gets her mojo back !!
This was a hot , sensual , Hilariously awkward story. My mouth fell open at the sarchastic words that come out of the characters mouths .
I will read more from this author.

Wow. Filled with action, suspense, Adventure ,magical creatures of all kinds , sexy as hell vampires with Yummy , love scenes. Jessa loved this story ! can't wait to explore more of this magical world you've written.

OMG.. This was so Heartbreaking and Heartwarming all at the same time. It's a must read. I'll read more from this series.

This was a very emotional up and down kind of story. liked it, but their moods were all over the place .Sarchastically witty, mad & outraged , then melting with lust and love .I might read more just to see where the series takes me , because the ending left me at a standstill.

Alex is a reporter in venice chasing a story . She's hot on the trail of an ancient sex cult that uses Christmas as camouflage for a week long festival of Debauchery and murder.
Can she get her story without losing herself in the process?
Full of raw sensuality , Action , Suspense and Hot sex scenes . I was intrigued by this short story , but am a little annoyed that it was just part 1 of a serial , not a novella .I'm still into it enough to give part 2 a try.
Breaking The Stag - Jessica Ryan *(5 Stars)
Celeste thought she had it all , but Tragedy has left her alone , trying to pick up the pieces of her life. Luckily there's a mysterious and sexy stranger that's been there her entire life.
OMG.. This story was heartbreaking and very emotional all the way around. I loved the sex scene in the National Park. It was full of action, suspense, Raw emotion , longing and purely heartwarming.
Cold Winter Bite - Dawn Michelle *(4 1/2 Stars)
Holidays meant more to hunter than getting away from stressful work obligations. It's time spent with his partners in the Canadian wilderness hunting. This year is his turn to bring the guest of honor. Let's hope he sinks his teeth in her before she sets her claws on him.
A wild romp through the Canadian wilderness that will leave you breathless. Action, Adventure , suspense and evil thriller , cosplay and some exciting animalistic sex scenes that will have you begging.
There are twists to this story that are wicked!!

Virity a ghost hunter must reunite a pair of war torn lovers before they are doomed to spend eternity apart. With the help from the gangster she mistakenly poured out of an urn in her yard.
It's an old fashioned gangster love story involving ghosts within this century and those past. I enjoyed all the action , comedy , suspense and emotion filled love story.
Love Singer - Mimi Strong (5 Stars)
Zebrina has lost her mojo for singing , until she finds out from her music teacher Arturo (Actually a wizard) that she's a song witch, and he can help her get her mojo back.
Wait until you find out the way she gets her mojo back !!
This was a hot , sensual , Hilariously awkward story. My mouth fell open at the sarchastic words that come out of the characters mouths .

OMG.. This was so Heartbreaking and Heartwarming all at the same time. It's a must read. I'll read more from this series.

This was a very emotional up and down kind of story. liked it, but their moods were all over the place .Sarchastically witty, mad & outraged , then melting with lust and love .I might read more just to see where the series takes me , because the ending left me at a standstill.

Full of raw sensuality , Action , Suspense and Hot sex scenes . I was intrigued by this short story , but am a little annoyed that it was just part 1 of a serial , not a novella .I'm still into it enough to give part 2 a try.

OMG.. This story was heartbreaking and very emotional all the way around. I loved the sex scene in the National Park. It was full of action, suspense, Raw emotion , longing and purely heartwarming.

Holidays meant more to hunter than getting away from stressful work obligations. It's time spent with his partners in the Canadian wilderness hunting. This year is his turn to bring the guest of honor. Let's hope he sinks his teeth in her before she sets her claws on him.
A wild romp through the Canadian wilderness that will leave you breathless. Action, Adventure , suspense and evil thriller , cosplay and some exciting animalistic sex scenes that will have you begging.
There are twists to this story that are wicked!!

Bought for the Eve Langlais Kodiak Point book but a few of the other stories were very enjoyable.
EVE LANGLAIS - CARIBOU'S GIFT - KODIAK POINT 4
I don’t often give 5 stars but this book deserves them.
The first few lines in this book say it all. But do you recall the most vain ex-soldier of all.
Kyle is just wonderful in this book, he is just so endearing and weird about everything and talks in mission terms to himself to help him cope with things. His mission list was so funny.
Crystal is a cougar shifter with a daughter Gigi who wraps Kyle around her little finger and sooths his hurt heart. The banter and snark between Crystal and Kyle was the best ever.
His carry on about being Rudolph was so funny.
Loved the whole Christmas theme and the Epilogue was superb.
This series has to be re-read time and time again for the sheer enjoyment each book brings.
MANDY M. ROTH - HUNTED HOLIDAY: A VAMPIRE ROMANCE

A good fun laugh out loud read. Two fated mates lusting after each other from afar because they are boss and employee. The friend Mimi stole the story.

Very strange tale. Not quite sure what I feel about this one.
Liked that love overcame everything but it felt wrong that she had been CURED but then turns her back on the doctor. But I can understand Sarah’s feelings in that she was expected to just walk away from the husband she loved and her four children.
Glad the husband John realised everything was his fault.

Crystal moved to Kodiak Point to get away from her abusive ex Malcolm. She wants a new start for her and her daughter GiGi. Reid asked her to organize the Christmas Parade and he volunteered Kyle to be Rudolph since he was one short of a reindeer this year. When she meets Kyle and she can't help be drawn to him. He tells her he can't be Rudolph and he seems to be vain. When Crystal see him getting along with her daughter at first she thinks he did that to get in her bed, but soon realizes that he did not know GiGi was hers that open a whole different door in her eyes. When Kyle, Crystal and GiGi goes to the closest Walmart she runs into her ex Malcolm and Kyle does not like him any where near Crystal and he warns him to stay away but the fool did not listen and that's when it's time to protect what is his!!!!

Dani was orphaned at a young and let all alone to defend for her self. She knows who it feels to have nothing. Dani met Mimi come from completely different backgrounds they met during training and just clicked they are best friends.
They work at CBPI together Dani's a Paranormal Enforcer and Mimi is Preternatural Magik. Dani is letting Mimi decorate her house just to get a rise out of Cornell. Dani is going way overboard with the decorations and now worried about a fire breaking out and the thought about a high electric bill.
Cornell is a member of the ruling vampire families and the head of the division of CBPI. He is also Dani direct boss and her neighbor. That she has a big crush for years. Finally Cornell decides he is tired waiting and decide it's time to claim his mate.

Caitlin and her niece Sophia are trying make a new start. Now they're stuck in the car in the middle of the mountains during winter. Caitlin is debating on calling help and go back home but Sophia sees a campfire through the trees. Caitlin is following her niece through the forest and they com upon a small cave. There's a cub sleeping next to the fire and Caitlin freeze and does not know what to do. When Sophia strata to pet the cub Caitlin follows and agrees the his fur is soft. Then a voice comes from behind them and it a big man and that's really she can tell cause he's in the shadows. She starts backing up and loses her balance and hits her head. When she awake she meets Winter and finds out that he and his son are bear shifters. Instead of going back home she decides to follow Winter and his son Cole to their home.

Hopefully with the help of her boyfriend Vaughn it might work out.

Rafe was waiting for wolf to show up she's never out this late when he decided to go look for her she turns up with a bag to his surprise a baby girl was in it. Not just a baby girl a wolf shifter. Rafe decides he's going to find out where her parents are and why they would abandon Kaylie. That's when he gets a lead about Gretchen whose in the hospital and decides to pay her a visit to find out what's going. He'd never expected what he'd found out when he talked to Gretchen.

I love anthologies but big anthologies like this one overwhelm me a bit. Good news! All the stories are solid enjoyable reads. They are all their own story and not teasers or ads from other books. Yea!
It is a really good deal at 99 cents to sneak in some fun reading.
Eve Langlais - Caribou's Gift: This former soldier isn't about to play the part of a reindeer in a parade--until he spots the hot single mom in charge of it.
I love unusual shifters and a Carbou shifter is a lot of fun. 3 Stars.

*"Caribou's Gift" by Eve Langlais -- A fun read. Well written enough to entice me to put others by this author on a to-read list. :-)
*"Hunted Holiday: A Vampire Romance" by Mandy M. Roth -- This one made me laugh and was enjoyable, but much more disturbing than I might like. Who defiles a snowman and gives him a carrot penis?! o_O Oh, right, Dani Malloye. (It was hilarious, by the way!)
*"Lost in Winter" by Viola Rivard -- This was sweet and I'm tempted to look up more books from this author.
"Kissed by Temptation" by Deanna Chase -- Not bad. Predictable, but I'm curious about the ending comments on one of the pairings. I'm not sure if I'm curious enough to read more of this authors books, though. (Time will tell.)
"Bear Witness: Pearson Security #1" by Michele Bardsley -- Oh goodness, not only is he a handsome bear with a non-shifter wolf friend, but he's willing to change diapers, too!
"A Heart in Winter" by V.M. Black -- I'm not down with infidelity no matter the cause or reasoning. This was a no-go for me, but I did enjoy the way it was written so I would consider giving others by this author a chance.
"Alpha's First Christmas" by Aubrey Rose and Molly Prince -- Hutch is more than a little dumb (at least, that's how he comes across to me), but I love his description of his best Christmas at the end. It's enough to make you roll your eyes and sigh "men" in a slightly amused and exasperated tone.
"Witches Shall Rise" by Terah Edun -- There were a few editing issues that really bugged me, but other than that I was intrigued.
"A Christmas to Bear" by Carina Wilder -- I like the main character's mental dialogue.
"Shadows Beneath the Falling Snow" by Cristina Rayne -- An interesting story that makes me want to read more about this world.
"Home for the Howlidays" by Chloe Cole -- Not a bad story, but not enough to really hook me into more works from this author.
*"Everlastingly" by Michelle M. Pillow -- I can handle not knowing exactly what's going on in the story, but come on! Give us something to try to figure it out from. (Spoiler alert - I figured it out, but I let someone else read over this story and they almost threw my Kindle in frustration.)
*"The Hunter's Moon" by Shawntelle Madison -- Cynthia's brother is the character showing the most true love in this book. :-)

*"Love Singer" by Mimi Strong -- I can deal with immature writing, but even I couldn't get past sparkles shooting from someone's "ladyparts" and then running away embarrassed! Reading this story made me feel like I had walked in on two twelve-year-olds trying to figure out sex, getting it all wrong, knowing they're getting it wrong, and then just running away naked instead of talking or getting dressed and deciding to try again after maturing. (Ear sex from Family Guy, anyone?)
*"Lord of Misrule" by J.S. Hope -- This was the only story that wasn't completely predictable, but it was also the only story that was the first section of a novel instead of a stand-alone piece.
"Blood Deep: Vegas Vampires Book 1" by Jessa Slade -- This story definitely makes me want to pick up from from this author!

Kiss of Christmas Magic is a bundle of paranormal stories. While I haven't read all 20 of them yet, I have read several and enjoyed them.
Everlastingly by Michelle Pillow -
Everlastingly is a short paranormal romance story. Though it is a short story, it is packed with emotions and suspense.
Everlastingly keeps you guessing just what is going on and how things will end for Maura and Jack. Though you don't understand what is going on at first, this story is not confusing, rather it pulls you in and forces you to see through the unknown and work towards figuring out the secrets.
I found this story to be a perfect blend of paranormal ghost story suspense and a romance that lasts forever and fights against everything.
Hunted Holiday by Mandy Roth -
Short and sweet, but totally fun holiday romance story.
Hunted Holiday was typical Mandy Roth, considering the comedy and snark, but it was also a sweet little romantic tale too. The side characters offer a touch of hilarity and chaos to the mix which makes this book extra fun. Hello Finn, you snarky pain in the butt, I like you a lot. and Mimi, you are a riot of a best friend.
Cornell is a Vampire. Dani is a slayer. Cornell just so happens to also be her boss. A slayer working for a Vampire, you'd think this wouldn't end well, right? But of course, in this story, it works out quite well. Except for the fact that Dani is Cornell's mate and neither of them is making a move for the other.
Cornell and Dani were super fun characters. Both a little afraid to go after what they really wanted. Both fearing it could never work out as they should be "sworn enemies" But alas, fate has a way of divining what we need and its not always what we've come to expect.
I loved how they finally came together, it was a super sweet and funny moment. Sort of an Oh My Goodness, I can't believe that's how it happened! It's nice to see a Big Bad Alpha fall sometimes, but it's equally as enjoyable to watch them hold firm onto what or whom is theirs.

Sarah has been sick for a while, and she's pretty close to bed bound. All of a sudden, a new doctor comes to see her insisting he will be able to help. But she's wary of his help. She agrees to try for her husband and children's sakes.
Dr. Argemirus is a of a different sort. The "Cure" he promises is not what anyone would expect. No, the cure fixes her ailments, but also turns Sarah into an immortal. It also forces a bond between Sarah and Dr. Argemirus.
Argemirus tries to use that bond to pull Sarah away from her husband and children by promising she will lose all that she has gained if she turns away from him to stay with them. But in the end True love prevails.
