I like the premise of this book, to introduce kids to mystery solving with some low-stakes situations that they can figure out, adding up clues here and there to figure out what the mystery is. Except that the clues and the stories they were within ended up being increasingly boring and I lost interest pretty fast. Also, all of these children, all main characters based off the board game, were all guilty of lying, stealing, forgery, etc., all sorts of ridiculous crimes which made them not very fun to relate to or want to read about.

This was a fun children’s book. The puzzles were easy to guess but would be challenging for the age group it is geared to.

My brother and I used to read this all the time growing up and I was so happy to find a copy at a local Goodwill. It was as fun and clever as I remember it -each chapter has a different mystery for the reader to solve.
This is perfect for younger readers, a classroom library, or those wanting a quick, nostalgic read.

The characters are fun and entertaining throughout the book. There is tons of humor that kept me thoroughly entertained as a child. I love whodunit books and trying to figure out the various mysteries and this collection of tales certainly doesn’t disappoint. This is a great read for children who love mysteries.

Ian loved this series at age 8, really wanted to own it. Caitlin read them all and liked them, but didn't care to read them more than once.

Not horrible, not fantastic either. Stories are a little drawn out and the solutions are a bit weird at times.
