I was born and raised in Ladner, a small farm town just outside Vancouver, Canada.

I never expected to be an author. Writing was something that snuck up on me and rooted itself into my life. It was beautiful to discover that love, and I’m truly grateful to say I’ve found my passion.

If I could leave y’all with one thing, it’s that life’s far too short to not live it out loud. Drown in your passions, hold on tight to the things that inspire you, and chase your dreams relentlessly. I can promise you without a doubt that you won’t regret it. I know I don’t.

Mad love,
Anne Jolin

***3.5 Stars***

Well, hello there new series to devour!

Let me back up a minute. Yes...yes, I did start this series with book 3. Yes...yes, my OCD brain is lying comatose in a corner somewhere. But desperate times call for desperate measures.

You see, Anne Jolin will be at a signing I'm attending next week and as I was looking at this series trying to figure out what I want signed, this blurb completely caught my eye (Lawyer by day, fighter by night.....YES, PLEASE!!!). My mind immediately went...but, but, but, it's book 3?!?!?! That means I have to read two books before I get to this one....and well....

Even though books in a series can be read as standalones, I usually always start from the beginning...as my friend Emma would say....the numbers are there for a reason! But again, see above....desperate times call for desperate measures.

So this book?

Damn was it fun. It was the perfect, quick escapism read with a sassy heroine and a possessive and protective alpha male.

Braxton Bennett is a high powered lawyer by day and Cinderella Man, an infamous underground fighter, by night. Braxton suffers from a disorder that makes him quick to get angry....ok, not angry so much as rage like a hurricane. He now tunnels that anger in the ring.

"There's a brilliance in the art of deception, sweetheart. A semblance of wickedness is required to wield the sword of trickery. And that man right there? Well, he could deceive the devil himself."

Beth attends one of Braxton's fights with her boyfriend, Kyle. Kyle seems to have quite a few screws loose and due to his out-of-grip-with-reality jealousy, he assaults Beth after the fight. And who should come to her rescue, but one angry fighter. He kicks Kyle's ass and takes Beth to the hospital...and is never heard from again.

Fast forward a month later and Beth is starting a new job...executive assistant to a partner at a law firm. And well...

Braxton has kept his two worlds apart for a very long time, but now Beth knows what lurks underneath the expensive suit that hides his secrets. However, he can't find it in himself to be angry for too long because something about Beth soothes him. He may be the Cinderella Man, but she's his knight in shining armor.

But, Beth's life is anything but soothing right now. She keeps getting text messages and creepy notes from Kyle.....refusing to let her go and threatening her. Braxton will not stand for any danger to come to Beth so naturally he steps into the protector role.

The accelerator is on the floor for the majority of this book, but you know what?

Like I said earlier...this was great, escapism fun. I mean, don't get me wrong, the book could definitely benefit from some more plot and character development, but what we get for under 200 pages is damn good entertainment.

However, one thing that did drive me a little batty while reading was the author's lack of contractions at times (It is, I am, did not, they are, etc.). It was distracting and broke up my reading flow. And I'm not an expert on Canadian dialect, but do Canadian's say "bloody"?? I thought not, but it's used here (FYI the book is set in Canada and the author is Canadian, so I'm gonna give that one the benefit of the doubt).

The book is a little over the top, a little amped up on the character roles (alphas are super alpha, villains are super villainous, girl posse is super supportive, etc..) but I liked that there was a balance achieved here. Braxton was sweet, sexy and possessive. Beth was vulnerable and sassy. She may have been quick to accept Braxton's outbursts, but I liked the humor she would bring to an otherwise intense situation.

"I know you're terrified of the demons inside you, but I'm not. I love all the dark, ugly corners of your soul that you're afraid to let anyone see. I love them because they are a part of you, and without them, I'd have never met you. Don't you see? All the things that would normally drive people apart are what thrust us together. So let it go. I have. And let's fucking cuddle, okay?"

So, if you're looking for an entertaining, fun and engaging quick read with an alpha male and a sassy heroine...this may be the series for you. Sure, things move fast in under 200 pages....but, sometimes I like living in the fast lane.

"...know that every time I touch you, I will worship you. I will give you every part of me, body and soul. There won't be another person on this Earth who owns me the way you do. You have me. The dark corners, the empty spaces, and the ugly truths. They are all yours and they always will be. I love you."

Oh before I forget....quick shout out to Frank....the fairy fucking godmother. I loved that Irishman!

Since GR still doesn't have half stars, I'm rounding up because there was more pleasure than guilt during this entertaining read.

***And because I'm sure you're just dying to know...I went ahead and ordered all five books in this series for my signing. #booknerdproblems

I'd give this one 3.5 stars.

I think the story in itself was a good one. I do have to admit that the beginning of this book was very triggering for me, as a past victim of psychological abuse in a relationship. It brought me back a bit in a way not many books have done, and i really felt for Beth.

I really, truly enjoyed Brax's introduction to the story. It was hot as hell - i could feel the heat of the scene, the intensity of it, and i was living for it.

This is what went wrong for me in this book; a jealous and/or controlling man is a jealous/controlling man. No matter if he's doing it to 'save' you or to 'help' you or because he has past trauma, NOTHING is a good reason for it - and it sure as hell ain't sexy. Well, not to me anyway.

Although i can go along with a man that has his own fair share of demons, i sure as hell wouldn't go along with this controlling side of him, especially being Beth, someone who just escaped such a man...

That just kind of took the sexy out of it - so it lost quite a lot of points because of that. Too bad...

I am so crazy in the love with the covers on all of Anne Jolin's Rock Falls books, I could just stare at them, never cracking them open and still adore them. But I did open them. I have read them. And this one, Breaking Bennett, is my favorite one yet.

Beth Rhodes had been lost for months. Unemployed and under the thumb of her controlling, asshole boyfriend, she now knows that her love isn't the man she thought he was.

Braxton Bennett is living a dual life - lethal lawyer by day, fearsome fighter by night. His anger fuels him, his past haunts him. But those two lives can never meet.

They first meet in the darkest of moments and Brax is determined to not taint Beth. When they meet again, Brax fights to keep his distance and the lines un-blurred. But is Beth the only one that can soothe his tortured soul?

I LOVED Beth and Brax together. They had more sizzle than a cookout, more steam than a kettle and more fireworks than the Fourth of July. Yes, their love could be considered "instalove" but that didn't bother me in the slightest. In fact, I found the whirlwind nature of their relationship (overlooking the time between their first and second meeting) to be fun and sexy.

Brax was forceful but never cruel. He was angry but never hurtful. Beth was sassy but never bitchy. She was sweet but never a doormat. She gave back as good as she got, and I really enjoyed that dynamic in their relationship. They seemed well matched for each other at each turn and, when the going got tough(er), I was confident they'd make it, together.

It was a real treat to spend a few hours with Beth and Brax and to check in with the two previous Rock Falls couples, as well as those yet to tell their story. I can't wait for the next book in this series...and it's undoubtedly wonderful cover.

Breaking Bennett is the third book in the Rock Falls series and can be read standalone. No cliffhanger. ~ Beth, 5 stars

~~~
I swear this series just keeps getting better and better. Breaking Bennett is definitely the best one yet and it's most definitely my favorite too!! The explosive relationship, the dominant possessive male with a just a touch of darkness made this book the perfect read for me. I just absolutely loved, loved, loved it!!!
If you want an idea about Breaking Bennett, it's like Real meets Beautiful Bastard. It is very much its own story, though, and not just those books put together in one book. I really enjoyed the whole fighter/lawyer dynamic and that's not all I enjoyed.
I mean, holy hand grenades, but this book is HOT!!!! It's actually not full of sex; it's the anticipation and passion that make it so hot. Not to mention, the way with words Brax has. They are totally sigh-and-shiver worthy.
Speaking of Brax, he is just the hottest Rock Falls man yet with his aura of uncivilizedness. He might be a smooth-suit-wearing lawyer, but that doesn't tame him at all. He's wild and does things his way, but you also know he would never hurt Beth. Brax doesn't beat around the bush when he tells her she's his and what their future looks like. He's my favorite hero in the series and you need to meet him!
Breaking Bennett is a fast read. It's filled with humor, danger, heat, and heart. I wouldn't wish for anything more or have anything changed. I just wholeheartedly loved it and I can't wait to read this story again. I'm so excited for the next book in the series too!! ~ Paige, 5 stars
Whenever I read a novel that is written solely from the female perspective, I often find myself wishing that it was dual POV or even just the male POV. However, when I read books by Anne Jolin, it honestly never occurs to me. It’s not that I wouldn’t love it, but it is not needed. The men she writes are honest and open, but even when they don’t vocalize their feelings, Anne has a way of letting you know what’s in their head through actions and expression.
Braxton Bennett is the one guy I’ve ever met in a book that I’ll never wish I could have had his side of the story (again, I wouldn’t turn it down though). He does not hide who and what he is from the reader. He lives a double life, fighting demons in the form if a crushing temper. In order to keep the darkness at bay, he enters the cage of an underground club and beats the hell out of his opponent. It’s like drug for him, exorcising the demons for a time. The other side of Brax is a cool and collected, successful lawyer. He keeps a tight rein on his life by controlling all aspects with a strict set of rules. Rules that he cannot break, because the result would surely end in disaster.
Beth Rhodes is high on life. She brings joy to those around her, lighting up the world in her path. She’s got the fairytale that every woman longs for. Her dream job, happy family and friends, and she has been swept off of her feet by Prince Charming. Until it all comes crashing down around her. IN the blink of an eye, she has lost her job and it is becoming increasingly clear that her boyfriend is not a prince, but rather the villain of the story. She is caught in a web, uncertain how to untangle herself. Finally one night the situation escalates beyond anything she imagined and her life becomes truly threatened.
Until a ruthless fighter rides in of his charger (all though in this case it’s black, not white). He saves her life and then disappears.
Beth’s world finally begins to right itself and she finds a job that looks promising. But, her first day comes and she is face to face with her knight, Brax.
Brax sees his worlds colliding. However, he has to fight the need he has for Beth, a pull as strong as the one he feels for the ring.
Braxton is such a strong character. I’m not just talking physically or even in the sense of his alpha traits. He is strong in his innate character. He has lived with a condition that has crushed so many parts of his life. There is also strength in the level of love and compassion that he exudes. He is scared to embark on a relationship with Beth, but he accepts what is and moves forward. Just as he has with the temper he seeks to control, he finds a solution and builds a foundation on it. My favorite thing about Brax, other than his possessive alpha yumminess, is that he doesn’t play games. Somehow, in the midst of living his double life, he finds a way to be completely honest.
Beth is a great heroine. Her sarcasm cracks me up. I always find it interesting when you see the female fighting a relationship more than the male. She bucks at Brax’s controlling ways, just too stubborn. IN so many ways, that could have been really obnoxious, but for some reason, I found it hilarious. She isn’t going to be anyone’s doormat, no matter how sexy she finds his possessive attitude. She knows when to give in though, another reason to like her as a character. It doesn’t make you weak to accept help and protection, it makes you smart.
As with all of Anne’s books, the chemistry between the hero and heroine lights the pages on fire. Hot! Hot! Hot!! I swear, Brax melted my panties right off.
This book took a slightly darker turn from Anne’s other books. I saw a depth to her writing that she hadn’t shown me in the first two books. Don’t take that to mean that the first two are anything less that incredible. This book just took a turn and impressed me even more. As I reached the climax of the book, I could feel myself freaking out because I knew that meant the end of the book was coming. I wasn’t ready, I didn’t want to let Brax and Beth go. In the end, the story wraps up beautifully, but since I was desperate for it to continue, I had no other choice but to return to the beginning and read it all over again!
Breaking Bennett is by far my favorite book of the Rock Falls series. You first meet most of the characters in Chasing Rhodes (Rock Falls 1) and you continue to love them more and get to know them more in Choosing Henley (Rock Falls 2) well.... you'll love most of them besides Kyle, you get to see just how slimy that creep actually is, and if youre lucky.. you'll see him pay too. Watch as this dark, mysterious, beautiful man Braxton Bennett saves Beth from her worst nightmares and brings the REAL Beth back, not the mouse of a girl she became because of the d-bag Kyle. It may be a bit of a bumpy road but when the truth comes out and the nightmares end Cinderella and Prince Charming get their very own happily ever after. You'll also meet Frank too, he's one of my new favorites. Both of the boys are actually. Frank is Braxton's driver/trainer/best friend. He pretty much keeps Cinderella in check. That is until Beth. I love this couple. So much. This series is a must read and I can NOT wait for the next one!! Anne is a GENIUS!! Love ALL her work!!
Wow Anne Jolin definitely is at her best Braxton and Beth story was something I did not expect I won't go into the plot a whole lot because I don't wanna spoil anything I absolutely loved this book it was addicting and compelling that I literally read it in one setting!! The plot and the characters were to the point and yet deep and diverse everything was ethical and was not rushed or forced let me just say Braxton was sexy sweet blunt hot protective and a total alpha it was beautiful to see him work through his issues and how strong he was and how much he fought for Beth . And Beth loved her she was strong no matter what happened to her in the past she didn't let that hold her back and I love that about her character. Anne jolin dose a terrific job journeying and voicing insight through both Braxton and Beth emotional and physical struggles Prepare yourselfs to be immersed in this amazing story.
Her books just keep getting better and better! This book is by far my favorite by Anne Jolin (Sorry Jami!!) It has the perfect amount of love, angst, and suspense to have you sitting on the edge of your seat.
At one point, close to the end, I wanted to throw my kindle in fear that I might not get my happy ending and may or may not have threatened said author...lol.
BUT
In true Anne Jolin fashion, she was able to pull me through that tough time and gave me an ending I was extremely pleased with. This book could totally be read as a standalone but you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't go back and read Chasing Rhodes and Choosing Henley as well.
I look forward to more by this up and coming author! Her writing is poetic but not wordy...my favorite! You'll devour this book in one sitting. I really enjoyed the sassy yet strong heroine named Beth and the brooding yet lovable hero named Brax.
Snatch this book up today!
Each book in this series just gets better and better!! I didn't think anyone could replace Greyson (I mean Hannah calls him Hunnam after Charlie Hunnam *drools*) and then I read Jami's story and fell head-over-heels for all that was Jami (He calls Lennon...Beatle~so cute!!) and now Braxton *sigh* He was all broody and damaged and captured me from the start and I couldn't even remember who came before him!! ;) The best part of this series is that it's not just the heroes that are swoon~worthy, the heroines kick ass too and you can't help but want them for your besties. From Hannah to Lennon to Beth and I can't wait to read Peyton next.
Another hit in this series. I love this tight knit group and while it is said you can read this as a standalone, I think you have to at least read Chasing Rhodes since Beth is the sister in that book.
Beth has had a rough go in this book, geez ~ a lot happens to that poor girl!!
Braxton is this sort of broken bird that needs a kind hand. I adored that he found his calm in a women to love - and HE loved her instantly.
We are def set up for Peyton's book and I am off to read it!!
Four words to describe this would be: over the top & corny.
Braxton has some serious anger issues that he needs professional help for. There's only so much "her touch" can soothe. He literally spent half of the book vibrating with fury and other half throwing/breaking things and punching walls.
It was a quick read, but I don't think I'll be continuing the series.
Oh Brax, you have some attitude issues, "I'm still glaring up into dark-grey eyes when he snaps again. "This isn't going to work. Get your s***. We'll pay you severance," he snarled, pointing towards the door." His ways of getting to get Beth to be quiet are very affective, "snaking an arm around my waist, he drags my body flush against his. "Will you please shut up," he demands before his lips crash onto mine." The chemistry is burning hot between these and they way they sometimes interact with each other is entertaining:
Fisting his hair in my hand, I tug slightly. "You're such an a**hole."
"Always." He eyes me cockily, moving a hand down to grab a handful of my a**.
Bennett is a morning person and Abby well isn't, "I'm jolted by a slap on the a**. "Up and at 'em. We're going to be late," he teases, standing beside the bed with his toothbrush in his mouth." Bennett he's demanding, irritating and really sexy, "I'm going to eff you bare tonight, Beth. I want to feel you," he growls. "I'm clean. I get checked regularly. I don't know if you're on birth control or not, but I don't care. I'd love nothing more than to put a baby inside you tonight." With each book Anne puts out in this series it gets better and better and I can't wait for the next one.
I can't tell you enough how much I have fallen for ALL of these characters!!
I would say Braxton Bennett is definitely the most INTENSE out of these sexy Canadians! He is basically the definition of alpha male and you'll want to smack him and then hop on his face all at once!
When we meet Beth Rhodes in the previous books, she's this hilarious, vivacious, balls to the wall woman...So it completely broke my heart to see such a change in her at the beginning of Breaking Bennett. We find her in a controlling, emotionally abusive relationship that is quickly becoming physically abusive. I hated seeing such a strong character turn so fragile and passive at the hands of her asshole boyfriend!
But then in storms Braxton, her Cinderella Man, a fighter living a double life, who completely rocks her world...
“If I’d never met the villain in my fairytale, I’d have never found my Prince Charming.”
This is now the third book that I've read from Anne Jolin and I love seeing the growth in her writing as I continue. I was also excited to see a bit of a dark side in her writing with this novel!
There were twists, and the ending was full of suspense. I actually found myself holding my breath for most of the freaking ending! I'm jumping in to Keeping King next! <3
Ohmygoodness this might be my favorite so far. I couldn't put this book down. It's now 2:00 in the morning and I have no regrets! Each book just gets better and better. Braxton's and Beth's story is truly beautiful, and heartbreaking. Breaking Bennet will make you feel all the FEELS! Braxton is a tortured soul, a dark soul. And he doesn't know how to fully control it. When Beth falls into his life, his world is rocked. He's never seen anything quiet as beautiful as she is. She adds light to his darkness. These two fight a battle throughout this story. Figuratively and literally. Seeing them fight their battles together brought me to tears. I couldn't think of two better suited characters for each other. Braxton is such a beautiful, dark soul and Beth thinks she has to live life independent after a recent crushing ex. (Whom I just wanted to strangle)
This book was truly beautiful. I highly recommended this amazing series and I can't wait to read the next book in the Rock Falls series.
First off let me just say, I freaking love Anne Jolin she is amazing, sweet, funny, and incredibly talented. And this book I think is her best yet and they just keep getting better and better. You never know what's going to happen. I couldn't put this book down. Everyone needs to read this I highly recommend it.
Beth Rhodes is feisty, spirited, take no crap from anyone type of person and she's a survivor for it. When someone knocks her down, she just gets back up and says Eff you. She loves wholeheartedly. She is simply amazing.
Braxton Bennett is not what you would expect at all. First he's volatile and frightening, but then he shows you he is a complete and utter swoon worthy alpha that you fall in love with for his darkness and the way he cares.
I'm not going to spoil anything for you. You are going to have to read the book. I will say this though, Beth was an unexpected savior for Braxton. I'll let you guess the rest hehe... HAPPY READING!!!!
Being the third book in the Rock Falls series I did not know what to expect, how could the author ever write another set of characters to top Jami and Lennon? Let me introduce you to Beth and Brax's unique and riveting relationship that will capture your heart from the prologue and take you through to their happily ever after. Staying true to form this incredible author brings to light not one but two major issues that need to be dealt with in order to achieve the love and tranquility that they find in each others arms. While admittedly there was less sex in this book than the last two there was so much suspense and drama I truly did not miss it. I can not wait for the next book in the series and feel privileged to watch this author evolve.
This is one of those WAYYYY OTT H stories. Like so OTT it's a little cheesy and weird instead of fun and sexy.
However, since I don't mind those, once I get my head in the zone, it was pretty good.
The reason I didn't give it too many stars is because one, it was too short for a story that would have been way better (even with our crazy Alpha) with some length. Also, I felt the h needed more time to heal. It was a little too unbelievable and some what off putting for the h to be totally okay with leaving one troubled, scary man to another. Especially one that warned and often showed his violent side. The h was just too comfortable with it.
Everything else was good, the smex, the way they met....again, with some more length it could have been great.
I am sad to say I didn't enjoy this book as much as I wanted to. The blurb sounded good but the execution failed for me. Beth is a girl that was with a abusive guy and gets saved by the hero. She was with ex but realized too late how he was. She ends up meeting the hero savior at his job where she is hired as his assistant. Their relationship if it could be called that begins from there.
The thing is I actually did like the hero Braxton, even with his issues at least he was finding outlets to deal. The heroine Beth is where some of my problems lie. I didn't like her attitude at all and felt she was hypocritical. I also don't feel the attraction really either. I don't know how to say it. I just didn't connect to the story or the characters.
I received this for an honest review... I have to say that every time I pick up one of these books I fall in love with the story and the writing... This is one of those books that just pulls you in and wont let go until the very last word..
Brax is an underground fighter by night and by day he is a Lawyer (SWOON). Beth is his new assistant although they have met before when he saved her from her then boyfriend. Now the ex is harrasing Beth and Brax will do anything for her..
This book is hot and steamy!!! I fell in love with Brax as my new hot alpha... Needless to say that I am in love with this story and this author... I cant wait to see what comes out next!!!!
This is book three in the Rock Falls series. I loved the previous two books but I think this is my favourite so far.
This is Beth and Braxs story. Brax is a fighter and by day he's a lawyer. He comes to Beth's aid when she needs someone. When fate brings these two together how will they deal with the attraction??
Plenty of angst which I loved. Anne Jolin had me gripped throughout this series. The storylines are brilliant and the characters are portrayed as real. I loved how I could relate to them. So looking forward to reading more of this series. Loved it.
☆☆☆☆☆ 5 Sexy Braxton Fighter Stars ☆☆☆☆☆
This book started so good I couldn’t put it down. Author Anne Jolin has grown so much as a writing, comparing this book to her first book. This is by far my favorite Anne Jolin’s book. She keeps you on the edge of your seat with this story, I love it.
I fell in love with Braxton right away, he is a straight up Alpha Male, who doesn’t back down from anybody. He is very strong, handsome, muscular and a great fighter. The first night Braxton ever laid eyes on Beth was at one of his underground fights, he couldn’t help but be pulled by her. He did notice that she was brought in by her a**hole of a boyfriend named Kyle. Braxton and Beth had their moment right before his fight and winked at her a few times. Braxton fought with a giant challenger, but he knocks him down without a single mark on his body. He was a great fighter and everyone loved him, especially the women.
As for Beth, she couldn’t keep her eyes off Braxton. She has never been so attracted to anyone as much as she was with him. He was a beautiful man and fought with so much grace. It was beautiful watching him knocking down the other guy without much of an effort. She thought that was the last she would ever see of him, she was wrong. When the fight was over her very controlling boyfriend Kyle started beating on her, after his friend flirted with Beth. He wouldn’t stop, Kyle could’ve killed her if it wasn’t for her Cinderella man from the ring rescuing her. He took care of Kyle almost killing him in the process of saving Beth. Instead he calmed himself down and took Beth to the hospital right away. He stayed with her and made sure everything was alright and he left. That was the last she has ever seen of him.
A month later, Beth and Braxton meet again, under other circumstances. She was looking for a job and he was needing a new assistant. Neither one was aware that they would meet again, until Braxton found Beth in his office setting up his coffee for him. He was an a** at first, he thought it was best to stay away from her. He was wrong, it didn’t take long for him to soften and realize that he couldn’t keep away from her any longer. He claimed Beth right away, that doesn’t mean they went straight to sex no.. they got to know each other and shared their lives with each other. It might have taken them a while to finally have sex, but this book is full of sexy foreplays, you gotta read it to see what I mean. Braxton and Beth are hot together, the wait for the sex to come is full of sexual frustration, but so hot.
When you give this book a chance you will fall in love with Braxton for the sweet and loving man he is. He is so protective of Beth, you can’t help but love him for it. I am so happy with the ending, that I cannot wait for the next book to come. Thx for sharing your book with me Author Anne Jolin.=)
Disclaimer: I love Anne Jolin and I will read anything she writes! Really. I will. The Rock Falls Series is truly amazing and I’ve enjoyed all the installments so far. Breaking Bennett is the 3rd book in the series and while all books can be completely read as standalone novels, I feel that if you read them in order, you will connect even more with all the characters and their stories. For instance, Beth was very first introduced in book 1, Chasing Rhodes, but it wasn’t until book 2, Choosing Henley, that we got a glimpse of her story.
Beth had a new relationship with a guy that honestly mistreated her in every way possible. He had a stick so far up his ass that there was no way anyone could ever remove it. He treated Beth as if he was superior to her and she should obey his every word. Prick. Well, one night, he took things even further, but unfortunately for him, a very HOT, strong, sexy, alpha male stepped in.
Braxton Bennett…my, my, my!!! What a HUNK of man! He was so damn sexy!! A lawyer AND a fighter? Oi!
"I’ve never wanted anyone or anything the way I want you.”
Despite him not wanting to get involved with Beth at the beginning, he really didn’t have a choice. Yeah. THAT was inevitable. You see, Beth and Bennett had this chemistry that sizzled off the pages. They had such a strong connection, that as a reader, I felt it. I understood why he tried to keep his “lives” separate, but at the same time, when you meet “the one,” there’s not much you can do about it.
“Anyone who thinks time plays a part in falling in love with someone is an idiot. You either love someone or you don’t.”
Bennett was incredibly protective of Beth – and I loved that. They both went through a ton of crap, honestly, and he was just what she needed in her life. The suspense and drama was a wonderful addition to the already hot romance in this book. Anne Jolin kept things interesting from beginning to end and I couldn’t help but want to keep on reading. I needed to know what would unfold next. Beth and Bennett did NOT have things easy. Beth’s ex-boyfriend was a complete and total psycho and he just wouldn’t let her go! All the challenges Beth and Bennett faced only brought them closer. It developed an even more emotional connection between them. It was hot and I loved them as a couple.
“I love you more than I’ve ever loved anything in my entire life. I’m yours.”
As always, the group dynamic in this book was amazing! I absolutely LOVE this group of characters! The men are protective, swoon-worthy alpha males and the women are strong, witty, and sarcastic. They all just seem to fit well together.
All in all, this was a great read from the very first page to the very last one. The plot developed wonderfully and the characters, once again, made me feel for them and their situation. If you’re in the mood for some steamy romance with a well balanced mix of drama and suspense, I recommend you one-click Breaking Bennett today.
4.5 stars to this third installment in the Rock Falls Series by Anne Jolin.
O.....M.....G....... this series just get hotter and hotter has we progress, I believe when we are at book 5 I will get burned.
Breaking Bennett book 3 in the Rock Falls Series was nothing short of an amazing book.
This time we see how Beth Rhodes the oldest of the Rhodes sisters find her Cinderalla and becomes the Prince Charming with a lot of shoes.
The book start of where Beth is still dating Kyle who we had the distinct pleasure of meeting in Choosing Henley. A guy we do not like. Well shit happens and this black haired, tattooed, muscular guy save Beth but never sticks around for anything to happen.
"we're all just looking for someone to hold hands with in the dark, love. The person whose voice silence the demons waiting for us in the shadows."
Well now as faith would have it Beth gets a Assistant position at Bennett & Blake Law. She is the assistant to the "also charming" Mr. Bennett who turns out to be the guy who saved her that night.
Now Braxton Bennett has a few anger issues if I can put it like that and he does the under ground fighting thing to help him get rid of this anger, Oh and don't forget he is a ruthless laywer also.
Brax and Beth quickly realises that they need each other more than they are willing to admit.
"Braxton Bennett, I love you more than the first sip of coffee in the morning or the smell after it rains. I love you more than I love the smell of puppies. I love you more than I've loved anything in my entire life. I am yours."
Trust me there will be a oh God no moment where you will be on the edge of your seat and can't read fast enough to get to the next page.
"Loving you until the day I die will forever be my greatest accomplishment."
Breaking Bennett is the perfect book this perfect Series and if you loved Chasing Rhodes and Choosing Henley than you must read this one. Anne Jolin has out done herself.
I give Breaking Bennett 5 stars.
I can't wait for Keeping King book 4 in the series.
