I write clean NA romance books. I have a slight addiction to Red Bull. When I'm not writing, I like to play music (I play the guitar and bass).

I was in the mood today for a boarding school read, and this book reminded me of Scarlett Haven's which I had read most of her books. New Haven Academy is the boarding school that Jinger Rivera has been sent to save herself and be straightened out. When Jinger and her brother Caleb were younger, their sister died, and this caused them to experience pain and nightmares. Each turned to a different way of coping - Jinger cut herself, and her brother turned to drugs. Their father is the third richest man in the world which doesn't help either as they never had a real family. Jinger has now been sent off to New Haven Academy and Caleb to rehab. Jinger has always found it hard to make friends as they only want to use her for her dad's money, that is until now - she now has Sebastian, Drew, and Hope. Can Jinger start to have a normal life? Was Jinger losing grip on life the best thing that happened to her? Find out in Book #1 New Haven Academy Series - Losing Grip. An edgy YA read with romantic suspense, dysfunctional families and boarding school antics. Losing Grip did end on a cliffhanger as one of Jinger's new almost-friends Brody has vanished

So first off I got to say, I stumbled over this author back when they had the first Kihanna series book free, right around the time the 3rd one was being released I think.. I absolutely love ALL of her books that I've read, which is most of them! This one definitely didn't disappoint.. It's sad but amazing at the same time, it draws you in and you get captivated in the first few chapters. I always get sad when books end and that's all I can think about right now is I can't believe I have to wait a few months for the next one. . This author really has me addicted to her books (; I'm sure after I process what I just spent my morning reading I will edit this much better. But for now I am saying if you have read other books by her you know this one is awesome and if your new to her books and like some drama and lots of mystery you sshould check out this new series!! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

I couldn't put it down. I really loved this authors Kihanna series, so I was really excited to see what she came out with next.

I really enjoyed Jinger's growth through out this story. I really admire how Jinger didn't just accept friendships and then held those around her accountable for what they do/did. She is such a strong character.

Oh Sebastian, swoon worthy, simply swoon worthy. It was refreshing to see a lead male character not pushing the girl or forcing her to make choices she isn't ready to make, and then he actually listens to her and helps her.

Now for Brody, I'm not sure how I feel about him yet, but im anxious to see what happens next.

As if the above wasn't enough, you throw in some angst, a murder, & missing main characters. What is an heiress to do?

I don't know, but I am waiting anxiously to find out!

Great YA read

I loved the storyline of this book. Jinger is a girl who has had a rough life, with her sister dying young and her brother being addicted to drugs it was hard for her to cope. At New Haven she is learning to trust people enough to call them friends and also has a love interest. I liked this book because it's not whiny or kiddish and it also has mystery.
