Kerala State Assembly election in 18 days; an accident in India’s first offshore wind project in the Arabian Sea; a 42-year-old CEO of a renewable energy company is missing. Three separate and seemingly disconnected events.
Are they?
Dhruv Krishnan (M, age 38) is suspected of the disappearance of his CEO wife, Krithi Warrier (F, age 42). The state police’s top brass, led by SP Sheela Varghese Mammen, are hunting for clues to find Krithi. Little does Sheela realize the enormity of the plot and the price she will have to pay.
“He has no face, no form! Only a voice. He is powerful, influential, and dangerous. We follow His instructions and obey Him,” claimed a witness.
“Who?” Sheela questions.
As the cosmic conspiracy web unravels, Sheela and her team are left flabbergasted!

Entangled Spirits - Dhruv's Krithi Publisher: Notion Press Rating: 3.75 stars out of 5.
We've all asked the question, "Who really runs the world?" at some point—sometimes to ourselves, sometimes out loud. Entangled Spirits will once again make you think about this. It begins innocuously enough. As the blurb says, a beautiful, ambitious woman vanishes, the husband is broken, and a cop with a thirst for retribution digs through. The labyrinthine structure of a conspiracy in the midst of a state assembly election is built brick by brick, or rather, chapter by chapter, drawing the reader on. The characters pursue their version of the truth in a system that is inherently built with the intention of burying it and constructing ornamental edifices to draw attention away from the truth itself.
What I enjoyed about this thriller was the crispness of its writing. The chapters are appropriately sized, taking adequate time to build intrigue on one thread but never dragging so long that the reader's interest starts to wane. The disappearance of Krithi, a woman who is successful and has a happy family on the outside, is an instant hook. A reader really wants to know why she goes missing as the story builds. SP Sheela Mammen's history is another hook that exerts a strong pull. The author's background in the renewable energy corporate world translates to the novel having a backdrop that offers many details from the sector, giving the book both insight and relatability. If you like thrillers in general and political thrillers in particular, Entangled Spirits is a book you should definitely try.
If you want a political thriller that reads like a syringe of adrenaline straight into the reader’s veins, Entangled: Dhruv’s Krithi by KK is that pill — compact, potent, and impossible to put down. This is the kind of ripping yarn that stitches together power, paranoia and personal ruin into a single, relentless chase. The plot moves at break-neck speed; chapters feel like sprint intervals — short, lethal, and leaving you breathless for more.
KK builds the story around two magnetically flawed leads — Dhruv Krishnan (39-ish, whose life spirals as his CEO wife Krithi Warrier disappears) and SP Sheela Varghese Mammen, the iron-nerved cop trying to pick apart the lies. Around them spins a wider web: political players, corporate corridors, and an almost metaphysical “voice” of power that pulls strings out of sight. The book is explicitly framed as a political-psychological-crime thriller and wears that ambition proudly — it’s topical, threaded with contemporary conspiratorial anxieties and reported “true facts” that make the stakes feel uncomfortably close to today’s headlines.
this stayed with me,the growth of characters and their arc I must say are worth noting down. This has to be the best political thriller I've ever read.
In today’s world, ‘One man with power can control millions who don’t have it.’ Power is key🔥
When I began Entangled Spirits, the author’s note urging readers to first explore "Deciphering a Kill" felt like a quiet nudge—curious but not yet urgent. I wasn’t sure why it mattered but as I turned the pages, the connection began to stir. Threads from the earlier book surfaced slowly, like echoes waiting to be heard. Characters carried weight I hadn’t yet understood and the story began to unravel in ways that made the first book feel not just relevant but essential. It wasn’t just a sequel—it was a continuation of something deeper.
The novel itself is a masterclass in layered storytelling. It opens with a disappearance, a political countdown and a wind project gone wrong but what lingers is the sense that something far more elusive is at play. Krithi Warrier vanishes, and her husband Dhruv becomes the prime suspect. SP Sheela Varghese Mammen leads the investigation only to find herself entangled in a web of conspiracies that stretch beyond politics—into the realm of the unseen. A witness claims, “He has no face, no form! Only a voice. He is powerful, influential, and dangerous.” That voice, heard through the earpiece, still unsettles me. It’s not just a plot device—it’s a haunting presence. It left me tense, questioning and searching.
And Krithi… her absence is the novel’s emotional void. She’s not just missing ,she’s a cipher. Every chapter feels like a search for her not just physically, but spiritually, politically, cosmically. I’m still searching for answers. The deeper I read, the more layered her disappearance becomes. She’s the silence that echoes through every decision, every twist and every unraveling truth.
The cast is expansive yet never overwhelming. Each character has a distinct role and the storytelling balances this complexity with clarity. The narrative doesn’t just introduce characters—it entangles them, letting their choices ripple through the plot in unexpected ways. And despite the layered structure, the tension never dips. From the first page to the last the story holds its grip, keeping me suspended in a state of quiet thrill.
Entangled Spirits is not just a thriller—it’s a meditation on power, invisibility and the emotional cost of truth. It rewards patience and deep thinking. It’s for readers who crave fiction that aches, questions and refuses to offer easy answers. And it lingers—long after the final page. ❤️
✨Some stories are purely fictional, created only to spark imagination. And then there are those written as fiction but so real in their essence that you almost feel them happening around you. This book falls into the second category—a story that blurs the line between imagination and reality, pulling you into its world with ease.
✨To do justice to it, I’ll be sharing my review in two parts, because one post alone isn’t enough to capture everything this story has to offer.
✨Entangled Spirits: Dhruv's Krithi pulls you right into a gripping mystery set in modern-day Kerala. The story begins with a shocking tragedy—the sudden deaths of 27 young people at Delta Point. The media instantly sensationalizes it with the hashtag #DDD (“Drugs, Death and Drowning”). This local tragedy soon links to the disappearance of Krithi Warrier, a well-known corporate CEO, making it clear this isn’t just a missing person’s case but part of a much larger conspiracy.
✨The investigation is led by ASP Sanjay Sarathy, later joined by retired SP Sheela Varghese Mammen. Suspicion quickly falls on Krithi’s husband, Dhruv, who claims he was drunk and unaware when she left their apartment late at night. But details raise doubts—Krithi left behind her phone and wallet, her car was found abandoned, and her unusual hobby of collecting knives adds another strange angle. A WhatsApp group connected to the mass deaths also ties back to Sanjay’s past, giving the case a personal edge.
✨What makes this story stand out is the political and corporate pressure suffocating the investigation. Krithi’s company, New Energy Solutions, is tied to a major offshore wind project backed by the state, and with elections near, her disappearance becomes politically explosive. Both the government and the company seem intent on hiding the truth.
✨By the end of this section, Sanjay and Sheela realize they are not just searching for a missing woman, but walking straight into a dangerous storm of power, corruption, and secrets.
Some crime thrillers are fast, edgy with shocking twists and turns. Entangled spirits however puts up a different picture in this genre, its unsettling and reflective until the last page.
The story begins with a missing female CEO of a renewable energy entity, in parallel to this there occurs a mysterious accident at an offshore wind project and all this in midst of upcoming elections in Kerala. Slowly the narrative joins the dots of these seperate events and how tangled their threads are into bigger, darker web.
At the center of it is our protagnist SP Sheela Varghese Mammen, an investigator, a raw, relatable cop. She is not shown as typical tough cop, instead she brings human touch in our enquiries and deals with complex emotions of people involved in the incident.
What I liked most is how the novel doesn’t just keeps on giving on thrills or twists. The political manipulation and corporate corruption portrayed by author makes the narrative intriguing and believable. It’s the kind of book where you pause and connect the events with the kind incidents you have heard, read or seen happening around you.
This book is further elevated by its spiritual and intellectual depth. In the web of crime and politics there is a Bhagvad Gita shlok at the beginning of the chapter and you can find subtle yet powerful refrences of it in the narrative and the inner conflicts of its characters. This adds a soulful layer to the story. It’s rare to find a crime thriller that not only entertains but also makes you reflect.
The suspense is gripping and the blending of philosophy with mystery balances pace & thoughtfulness making this a unique reading experience
Entangled Spirits deserves a spot on your shelf. It’s a meaningful crime thriller and it’s a story about the different layers of life that shape our world, and the light we search for within ourselves.
When I ask you to think about word"Thriller" ,,, your thoughts be like criminal, investigations and suspenses,,, right? But what if I told you I found a thriller that not just create suspenses and criminals but the concept of playing with psychological minds with the spice mix of political content and world of spirits.
My recent read of this book"The entangled Spirits " By Author KK is the mix of everything. It feels like you are into a world where the political and crimes meet together with the plot twists of spirits . The story follows a missing Lady who is a CEO and its not just a missing person,, it leads the role with an offshore wind project, Kerela's elections and multiple crimes. What is happening??? Are they connected??? Who are all behind this?? What happens to CEO??? I know you all have these kinds of questions in your mind. "The answer is typically in the book. "
The other characters involving CEO KRITHI'S HUSBAND DHRUV AND SP SHELLA are the supporting roles finding krithi and the reason behind disappearance of her and the crime happening all over and this political conspiracy.
Author done the job beautifully by indulging in each concept of story by defining them with perfection. The writing is simple and understand. The cover,,, in the black portrait with everything at top defining title amazingly. The story is fast paced which I expect it to be much better . Every plot, every twist will shock you in the unexpected ways possible. The author's way of entering into mysterious and darkness ways of spirit with the connection of disappearance of CEO really shocked me in best way possible. If you are someone who love political and psychological thriller, this book is for you. It will feel you like you are imagining something in the mind you never expected.
Mystery, politics, and philosophy are all interwoven in KK's compelling political, psychological, and criminal thriller Entangled Spirits to create an engaging story. Days before the Kerala State Assembly election, and following an accident at India's first offshore wind farm in the Arabian Sea, 42-year-old Krithi Warrier, the CEO of New Energy Solutions, vanished from the scene. The case that begins as a missing person investigation quickly turns into a sinister and perilous plot involving corporate greed, political manipulation, and international power conflicts.
The book's complex interweaving of apparently unrelated incidents into a more extensive, unnerving web of influence and corruption is its most captivating feature. The Bhagavad Gita shlok that opens each chapter provides a spiritual undertone and intensifies the characters' internal struggles. SP Sheela Varghese Mammen, the case's lead investigator, is my favorite character. In contrast to the conventional tough cop, Sheela is honest, kind, and incredibly relatable. Her journey is memorable due to her attempt to strike a balance between duty and empathy.
In addition to being exciting, KK's stories make you think about the similarities in the actual world and make connections to incidents that are frequently featured in the news headlines. Entangled Spirits is a book I suggest to readers who enjoy smart criminal thrillers that leave you feeling both tense and reflective.
“Entangled spirits: Dhruv’s krithi” is a political psychological thriller that gets deep and messy with every page you turn. Krithi warrier, CEO of New energy solutions, is missing. Krithi’s case, which merely started as a missing one, starts unfolding the dark secrets of a government led project. Is she hiding on purpose or is someone behind all this?
A lot of different events are untangling but they all are entangled with each other somehow leading to a bigger and dangerous conspiracy. The plot is very interesting with all the mystery unravelling slowly. With head strong and well written characters, the narration is really good.
I really liked the way Dhruv and krithi’s backstory unfolded, as it makes the story more thrilling. The story reveals how power clash, manipulation and hunger for position and status runs deep among people and affects their close relationships.
The political aspects and global power struggles woven into the story, adds weight to it. The characters thinking they are just taking their revenge with the help of a “Powerful Voice”, but they are a part of something much bigger and risky than they can comprehend.
It’s definitely a page turner for me, the mystery as well as the emotional turmoil of the characters adds really well. Definitely a must read!!
"Entangled Spirits: Dhruv's Krithi" starts with three seemingly unrelated events - a missing renewable energy CEO, an offshore wind project accident, and Kerala's upcoming elections. But are they really separate incidents? SP Sheela Varghese Mammen leads the investigation into Krithi Warrier's disappearance, with her husband Dhruv as the prime suspect. What begins as a standard missing person case quickly spirals into something much darker when witnesses mention a mysterious, faceless voice controlling events from the shadows. The book's strength lies in its realistic foundation - the author claims it's based on actual media reports, which makes the political manipulation and corporate corruption feel genuinely unsettling. Sheela is a compelling protagonist who feels authentic rather than like a typical tough cop stereotype. The three-part structure works well, though the conspiracy elements get a bit overwhelming toward the end. Sometimes less really is more in thrillers like this. If you enjoy political crime fiction with psychological depth and don't mind stories that might make you question what you see in the news, this delivers. Just don't expect easy answers. Good for fans of complex conspiracy narratives who appreciate strong female leads
Book - Entangled Spirits: Dhruv's Krithi Author - KK Pages - 328 Published - August 1 2025
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½/5 The world has gone to hell Dhruv as his wife ever since his wife went missing, one of the many reasons being him as the prime suspect. Not just that, Kerala State Assembly elections are in just 18 days, and there has been an accident in an offshore wind project in the Arabian Sea. As SP Mammen leads the investigation, she finds herself in the middle of a conspiracy that would end with gruesome consequences. The star player of this book is the thrill that is set by the author. Krishnakumar really takes things on a road less taken. The thrill is not just anxiety-inducing, it is unsettling, as it holds a mirror. And given how politics works in the world, the moments are truly shocking, but not surprising. He really sets a tone for the book in the prologue itself, with a sense of chaos and fear. The writing however, is plain. But then again, the plot is the real armor here. It is how a reader feels in the middle of an investigation, and that's the strength of the book. A political thriller that really delves deep into how power dynamics work in the real world, Entangled Spirits steals your sleep!
A thriller that will throw you on a massive rollercoaster. I love psychological thrillers, and because of that, my attention is drawn to thrillers. And when a thriller is both psychological and political, it's something completely different. Entangled Spirits: Dhruv's Krithi is one of those thrillers that can't be easily explained by its title.
A case that begins with a CEO's missing complaint and gradually takes a political turn and takes a different route. I had a great time reading how the story of a missing person can take the kind of twists we've been waiting for since the first page. It's a different story altogether when everything takes a turn where even a strong police officer starts questioning the system. When she (SP Sheetal) questions, it feels as if she's questioning the government itself while in power.
I don't know who to call right and wrong in this story. Because everyone feels right in their own place, that's the game of psychology you know. When a character's backstory begins, it seems like a very ordinary person. But when you see what's happening in his present, it feels like you never thought this would happen. And that's why this book is worth reading.
Thrillers are always filled with suspense, chilling twists, tension among the characters, gripping stories, etc. Author KK has successfully blended the realms of thriller with political context. Though the work is fictional, a reader can be aware of political corruption. The story begins with a missing female CEO of a renewable energy entity, in parallel to this, a mysterious accident occurs at an offshore wind project and all this in the midst of upcoming elections in Kerala. Slowly, the narrative ties the dots of these distinct events and how tangled their threads are into a bigger, darker web. The book is divided into 3 parts with different narratives. The selection of verses from the Bhagavatgita made the story rich with spirituality and urgency. The inner conflict of the characters is portrayed through the verses. It adds a powerful dimension to the narrative that drifts long after you turn the final page. This book is perfect on a gloomy day with your favourite drink. Be ready to delve into the world of a character-driven thriller with suspense, and you will experience their world through every page of your book.
