A Reason for Handwriting focuses on regular, daily practice-10 to 15 minutes of perfecting practice each day! The format is fun, flexible, and easy-to-use for both teacher and student. Student and tea
It is not too useful for my daughter as she knows how to write most letters from other worksheets/books. There is some overlap as we are doing "Explode the Code" at the same time and it has some handwriting in it as well. She doesn't really like colouring but she does some of them. I try to combine it with craft related to the letter/animal we are doing. Maybe next time (with the next child), we will make a unit study out of it, with craft and library books included.
I'm changing my review. I dislike how this book is set up, but when we started going through A Reason for Handwriting at a slow pace and then combining it with copywork, handwriting became my daughter's favorite subject. Independently, I'd give it one star. When using other handwriting exercises, this works for us just fine.
