Everyone has a story to tell. Adversity is often part of the story. The question is 'who comes out a winner and who will take a loss in the game of life?' Some people find out they can't put faith in another person because the person is unequally yoked. Others are seemingly blessed but in actuality, they are far from the blessings that come due to walking with the Lord. The person who has worked so hard to be successful might be the same person who fails to give thanks to God for their success. There may have been times when our mind directed our flesh toward temptation to pursue pleasure. All that we go through affords us the opportunity to have something encouraging to tell others. This is a chance for you to reflect and rejoice in the happenings of your own life as you come across other people's encounters and what takes place after the fact. Embrace your testimony!
Stephen Delin’s “Testimony: The Collection” is a combination of four short stories. It’s centered on the lives of several individuals and their struggle with temptation.
When I first began reading, I automatically thought I had received a bad copy. The first chapter seemed unfinished, but as I continued to read, I noticed that all of the chapters were incomplete. Being only 75 pages, I quickly became concerned that if the author were going to tie all of the stories up, he’d have to come up with a magic trick. I pressed on simply because I was interested in how it would all play out. When I got to the end and saw that there was an epilogue, I was confident that everything I’d read was the author’s intent and I indeed had what was meant to be a complete “collection” of four short stories. A story generally has a beginning, middle, and ending. These did not and so I find it hard to qualify them as such. These stories read like unfinished chapters. Sorry, this was just a bad idea.
