No Ordinary Mistress London, 1814
Remington Hawthorne, Earl of Latham, has spent his life protecting the Crown. When he's assigned to play the part of lover to Emma Masterson, one of the few female spies in England and the one woman he can't forget, he'll have to risk his heart as well as his life. It isn't easy being an independent woman, much less a spy. Perpetually tasked with proving she is as valuable as any man in her profession, the last thing Emma needs is to be reunited with the one man who makes her want to forget her duties and get lost in passion. Pretending to be his mistress isn't difficult - remembering that it is all a charade is a challenge. With every glance, every touch, every kiss, she is drawn deeper under his spell and pulled further from her goals. She refused him once, but it will take every ounce of strength to not give in to the passion that still burns strong...

For Her Spy Only England, 1814 When Winifred is rescued from her snow-stranded carriage by the notorious and reclusive Alistair, Marquess of Coventry, she is instantly drawn to him. Jilted by her betrothed and socially ruined by untrue rumors, Winifred is tired of paying for crimes she didn't commit and decides to play the seductress London society claims she is. Thinking a night of passion shouldn't leave any lasting effects, she instead finds her heart marked forever. Six years later, Alistair is working for the Regent as a spy. A search for Napoleon's English supporters leads him to the beguiling Winifred, recently widowed with a young son. He hasn't forgotten how the unconventional beauty warmed his bed, and the heat between them rekindles immediately. The spymaster is determined to uncover all of plucky Winifred's secrets. Especially the one regarding her son...

Misadventures in Seduction

With five siblings to care for, Prudence Hixsby's duty comes first, even if it means becoming a spinster. When the eldest - and most cherished - of her younger brothers decides to join the war, however, Prudence is determined to keep him safe. So she strikes a bargain with an old acquaintance: her body in exchange for her brother's safety. In the dead of the night, she slips into the bed of a man whose touch is both fierce and passionate... little knowing she's just seduced the wrong man. Harrison Carlisle, the Duke of Sutcliffe, never imagined that the lovely Prudence would honour his bed, or just how bewitching those lush curves could be. Yet he keeps a gentleman's silence. After all, a spy for the Crown can ill afford to marry. But when Prudence's brother is killed, they find themselves uniting to track down the traitorous murderer. And while death lurks within the shadowy world of espionage, there is also passion... and the unbidden thrill of a seduction!

No Ordinary Mistress 3 stars

I liked this novella. Emma and Remmy were likable characters. The plot moved very quickly, and while a bit predictable, I enjoyed the journey. I was left wanting more though. But I think with every great characters we are introduced to as readers we always hunger for more, not wanting the story to end. And that was what I wanted. I wanted to see more of their story, and how they would develop as a couple. I am left wondering how Emma will adjust to being a countess etc. Overall it was a fast pace, enjoyable read.

For Her Spy Only 3 stars

It was a quick read with a fast engaging plot. I did not really fall in love with either character. I liked Alistair though with his oddities. Winifred herself was sweet and endearing, and it was not hard for me to root for her. I was not sure if I saw how they fell in love, but I got enough for a happy for now. I still enjoyed the journey the author took me on, and I was never bored at any moment which is a fabulous thing. I would recommend to lovers of historical romance looking for light but enjoyable read

Misadventures in Seduction 4 stars

Sweet and lovely read. I quiet enjoyed it. Wrong bed is another favorite trope of mine! My fancy is always tickled when I imagine the various ways a hero or heroine can actually slip into the wrong bed! In the third installment of her Masquerading Mistress series, Dehart pens a lovely tale of romance, suspense, a dashing duke, and an intrepid miss who snuck into the wrong bed, had a most torrid and delightful night of passion she has been unable to forget. When tragedy once again throws her into the path of our hero, Harrison. Attraction resurfaces, and in the midst of intrigue sensual sparks fly.

Though a short book the characters journey to falling in love was believable. I read the first two in the series which were rather enjoyable and this book was no different. It was fast paced, yet thorough and I liked that. I would recommend to historical romance lovers and I give this book 4 beautiful toasts.

Prudence Hixsby is resigned to remain a spinster; her parents are dead, and being the eldest girl, she’s the one who sees to her younger brothers and sisters. Her brother Johnston wants to join the military, and she blames the dashing Harrison Carlisle, Duke of Sutcliffe for his influence on her brother. Prudence is in awe of the handsome Duke, who doesn’t seem to think much of her. At a house party, she decides to take matters in her own hands and ask Harrison if he could make Johnston change his mind, but he refuses.

Sir Bailey Fenton has been flirting with Pru for ages and hearing about her plea to the Duke, he proposes an arrangement: if Pru agrees to become his mistress, he will make sure her brother will not be accepted. Prudence has made up her mind to accept Bailey’s proposition and later that evening, she goes to his room in complete darkness and gives himself to him.

Or so she thinks; she soon learns that it wasn’t Bailey she has seduced the wrong man because her brother has enlisted, and Bailey is nasty to her. As no one came forward, she’s certainly not going to ask, so the midnight man remains a mystery.

In 1814, the world crashes around Prudence. Harrison Carlisle works for the Seven, an elite group of spies for the Crown and there is a traitor among them.

Where do I begin? The only fault I can find with Misadventures in Seduction is that it didn’t go on forever! Absolutely wonderful! Fast-paced, magnificently written, compelling, fabulous multi-dimensional, engaging characters; there is nothing wrong! I’m usually not crazy about mistaken identities tropes, but do I ever make an exception in this case: it is the basis for an intelligent and clever story. I loved, loved, loved this book and I’m looking forward to anything by Ms. DeHart! Splendid!

Now, I'm looking forward to reading the other stories! Smashing!

I'd love to reat the whole series as I liked one of the lot, Misadventures in Seduction.

Cute and adventurous. I liked it.

Harrison and Prudence are thrown into each other's arms in the most preposterous way. In times of war, families are precariously staying together, so when Johnston wants to join the ranks of soldiers, his sister can only think of the worst. Without him, she will finally face alone the daunting task of taking care of her little siblings. So she's prepared to do anything to keep him safe.

I really liked how these two come together. The ruse is flawless and fun. Hot too. By a shady misunderstanding, Prudence agrees to a night of passion with the man who can save her brother. Unfortunately, she shares her body with the wrong man. Of course, this delicious mistake is the perfect seed for plot twists and steamy moments.

Even though there is drama in the story, it's more of a fact than a real feel. Therefore, this story should be taken as light and well-plotted fun. There is plenty of espionage, secret codes, back-stabbing and mystery. Well, I should say that I did feel some of Prudence's grief over her brother's death when she's perusing his belongings.

Pru is a country woman, strong of spirit. I lied her for her love of freedom when she could taste adventure. The Duke is all about duty, but he can't deny his admiration and passion for clever Pru. They make a good couple. And all the while, this secret between them torns the Duke apart until it explodes.

Highlights: masquerades, bullets and knives, espionage, hot kisses, and hotter things.

No Ordinary Mistress: spies who worked together previously but who were afraid a relationship would get in the way reunite for a new case several years later and discover the sparks are still there (Emily and Remy)

For Her Spy Only: a code breaker who is probably on the autism spectrum meets a woman and has a passionate affair one Christmas. Several years later they meet and the heat is still there but with a bit of a twist. (Alister and Winfred)

Misadventures in Seducing: mourning her brother's death, a woman teams up with the man who knows her well, to discover what happened. (Prudence and Harrison)

All the stories are tied together and worked well

I spy romance....

What good is a spy if he she have nothing that truly compensate him or her for a job well done? Having someone to talk with, to unwind with, to complete them is they all secretly want and need. This book is a brief expose of some were achieved! Of course it was good to have a little adventure while achieving it. These authors melded their novellas into a book that I couldn't get enough of! More Seven please!
