It's funny how my interest in this series decreases as the amount of action and adventure increases. I'm all for some good fight scenes, but the latest alien invasion promises to spread itself out over several volumes and the action is non-stop sound and fury signifying nothing. Ho-hum.

There are so many good moments in this volume. Kikuchihara’s sarcastic comments during battle, Osamu’s improved fighting skills, Kitora being very cool, Chika’s moment at the end and, of course, Border’s most powerful squad.

Neighbors have invaded en masse and Border is struggling to keep up with the onslaught, especially when a new type trion soldier makes its debut. And the army of trion soldiers (the usual robot invader things) isn't the only thing to worry about. Six humanoid Neighbors (like Yuma) are pulling the strings from behind the scenes and could decide to join the fight at any time.

Honestly, I'm scared, guys. Bad stuff is happening and I don't know if this is going to have a happy ending...or at least an 'not-as-bad-as-it-could-have-been' ending even taking into account what Jin's side effect might predict. A round of applause to the author for this serious suspense.

Chậc, bắt đầu tới giai đoạn ko nhớ dc tên do xuất hiện quá nhiều nhân vật 😹 vs lúc gọi tên lúc gọi họ nữa

The invasion Border has been preparing for is here, and Neighbor gates begin opening up all over the city. Destruction of one type of neighbor Trion soldier gives way to a “new model,” one that has a very hard outer shell and that can sense trion-users and black triggers in the area. Yuma and Osamu work together to stop the new warriors, but Border’s ban on Yuma’s use of his black trigger deployment hampers his abilities. That is, until Border caves in the face of daunting odds and lets Yuma attack with his full strength. Meanwhile, Chika helps students escape from the school they all attended, and it’s going to be a close call in getting them all out before the Neighbors attack!

This volume was back to the level of action I've come to expect from World Trigger, and the political scheming between the factions of Border was at a minimum. We also get a first glimpse at Neighbor command. They're humanoids like Yuma, and many are skilled tacticians. The Border forces are severely overwhelmed despite how many new teams were also introduced in this volume (seriously, I can't keep up...), and it feels very much like the mangaka is setting up a kidnapping of Chika, what with soldiers that are specifically designed to find trion like a bloodhound. On to volume seven, where I'm sure this battle will rage on and still not have a conclusion!

The story continues to showcase Yuma and Osamu’s adventure with Border; however, there is a Neighbor breakout in the city and Border responses to the crisis. The only issue is the Neighbors are taking control and eating up members of Border. Will they succeed or will this lead to Border overcoming the odds?

Lots of action and some interesting twists. It still felt a little lacking though. I think they tried to put a bit too much into one volume.

Volume 6 is all action as the Neighbors stage an all-out attack on earth and Border. The past quietude of the training is now gone in the flurry to save the citizens before the hordes of Neighbors reach the populated areas outside the safe zone. It's time for Mikumo and Chika to handle themselves without needing Kuga's help!

Story: A Neighbor invasion force, directed by a mysterious council, is assailing the area around border. New squads will be called in, especially as a new type of Neighbor appears - one designed to kidnap trion users. At the same time, bombers will assault Border itself - but is their objective to defeat Border or is it something even more sinister?

We get to see a lot of new faces this time as more A, B, and C teams appear to fight. Kuga will be separated from Mikumo - but is Mikumo actually ready to fight? And does Chika have the strength to stand up to the Neighbor attack? The situation constantly changes this volume from hope to despair to hope as the Neighbors reveal their true motive for the strange attack and Border agents step up.

As always, great fun even with the daft physics and plot holes. I'm reminded a lot of Bleach with all the interesting characters and one-upping situations. Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the publisher.

The large scale invasion has begun and everyone has a job to do in order to protect the citizens. While the bigger trion soldiers are being taken down something emerges from within a new type of trion soldier known as a Rabit and it is a lot more difficult to deal with especially when it has the ability to capture trigger users.

This was a great volume and I am really enjoying this series. It is incredibly fast paced and this series doesn't waste time in moving the story along or waste space (all the panels are full of action that is meaningful to the story). Another great volume and I can't wait to see what happens next.

I received this advanced copy from VIZ Media through Edelweiss in exchange for my honest review.

This volume was Amazing!

The action just got dense, a new large arc began and I am so excited to see what is going to happen soon. After this volume I can officially say I have fallen in love with this manga and I hope it won't get canceled soon.

The character development in vol. 6 is well executed and the action scenes (that I was waiting for) didn't not disappoint me. I was pretty pleased with how the author/artist handled the plot, and I loved the use of flashbacks.

However I do have a lot of questions that needs answers very soon, and it is bothering me that we didn't receive any explanation up to now.
"Where are the parents?? "
"why is almost everyone in Border a teenager?"
"How did Yuuma actually come to earth?"
"And was his father a human or not?"

I ran into the same problem I always have with black & white manga: I have trouble telling the characters apart, especially if I wait even a few days between reading times (never mind the wait one has to endure for a new issue in a series). This was even worse when most of the characters are wearing the same, or similar uniforms, and engaged in a long fight sequence with shifting viewpoints. The story is good, but since this is the last volume my local library system has available, I'm not seeking out any more.

Fight fight fight. I'm pretty sure this invasion is going to take me to the end of the English translations available at my library.
