Head honcho, man in charge, THAT dude. All of these encapsulate Eason Storm. For those that don't know him, he could be considered unhinged. For those that do, know that Eason will do whatever’s necessary to protect those around him. Starting off with a rough beginning, Eason is determined to rewrite the story of his legacy, but his chapter may be rewritten anyways when he meets Xalori.
Xalori Carson is in the midst of grieving when she meets Eason and unlike most of the women he's come across, Xalori has no interest in him or what he has to offer her. She's in her own process of healing and being a mom. What she doesn't realize is that while she's trying to heal herself, Eason has no intention of letting her go through it alone. No matter what.
I love every part of this book. I am hopeful to read more from this couple in the future. Unhinged men, but loving nonetheless. Y'all just read the damn book.
I initially gave this book 2.5⭐️, but I changed my mind while writing this review. This was one confusing story. At first, the FMC talked about her daughter like she was an older child, so I was really surprised to find out that the child died of SIDS.
The main character really needed someone to talk to because, by the end, she still hadn’t healed. The book lacked descriptions and character depth, making it hard to picture anyone. I had no clue how old any of the characters were. Eason mentions being abandoned by his parents, but we never really get the details. Was he adopted or what? It felt like the author had one idea in mind but ended up writing something completely different. There wasn't any sense of time either.
Eason kept saying things like "I will burn the earth"... blah blah blah, but he didn't actually do anything until the very end. Overall, it just wasn’t executed well.
There's something about a delusionally unhinged man who experiences love at first sight the minute he sees you, and that's Eason Storm. The second he spots Xalori and her son in the emergency room, he's all in to the point where he tells her that her baby is now his. Xalori, who is having a terrible panic attack while trying to get her baby medical attention, rightfully dismisses his attention. But Eason wasn't letting up off her. This is my first read from this author, and I really enjoyed the writing style. The portrayal of Xalori' grief was done so well. You really felt for her. I was so happy when she finally let Eason in so he could love her and take care of her terrible baby daddy.
This book was a mess. They were “in love” (I mean sexing) by 22% and we didn’t know anything about them—not even fun details like age or background. It was all vibes, no substance.
Prime’s villain arc? Confusing at best. Married to the MMC’s sister and nobody knew? Not even Xalori, who was messing with him? Girl, be for real. Like there was no clues you ain’t think to google anything try and find him?? Nothing just impoverished angry and depressed??? We still don’t even know why he was hell bent on that girl suffering either
Xalori needed therapy, not a romance. She folded every other page and had zero support system. The whole book felt like a part two of a story we never got. I finished it mad and confused. Hard pass.
If “unhinged but emotionally intelligent” was a man?? It’s him. This book had me fully invested from page one, and I knew I was done for the moment Eason locked eyes with Xalori in that emergency room. He was locked in, laser-focused, and already tracking her like a full-time job he couldn’t afford to lose.
Now Xalori? She wasn’t having it—at all. She’s been through some stuff, the kind that changes your spirit and makes you build walls higher than anyone should have to. But Eason? Oh, he wasn’t just trying to knock them down—he wanted to help her rebuild, brick by sacred brick. And that?? That’s where this book hit DIFFERENT.
The push and pull between them? So real. The tension? Whew. And the moments where Eason showed up with presence, patience, and the kind of protection that doesn’t speak—it acts? Yeah, that man is a problem. A good problem.
Let’s be clear—this story has drama. Like twists, betrayal, exes-who-won’t-leave-you-alone type drama. But it never felt like too much. It felt like life. Messy, layered, and full of moments that force you to grow. Watching Xalori rise from everything thrown at her? Watching her reclaim her power, her softness, her future? Yeah. That part touched me.
Now let’s circle back to Eason 😏 That man was INSANE. In the BEST way. ✔️ Cameras in the crib? Check. ✔️ Tracking her moves? Double check. ✔️ Studying her body language like a final exam? Chile. ✔️ Soft when needed, savage when required? I LOVE THAT MAN.
But here’s the kicker: he wasn’t just obsessive for the sake of being toxic. Nah. Khamesia wrote a man who was complex—broken, but healing. Scarred, but willing. And baybee, the emotional intelligence this man showed while still giving full BDE?? Chef’s kiss, 10/10, no crumbs left.
The plot moved, the spice hit, and the love story underneath all that chaos? It flourished. This wasn’t just about falling in love—it was about fighting for it. Holding space for it. Protecting it with your life and your heart at the same time.
This book gave: 🖤 Soft thug energy 🧠 Trauma with tenderness 🔥 Spice AND obsession 💥 Family drama, past ghosts, and real deal healing 👑 A heroine who becomes HER, on her terms
5/5 for me, easy. Tempted To Love A Rosemont Menace ain’t just a title. It’s a whole mood. READ THIS BOOK, bestie. Trust me. Then @ me when you hit the scene with the cameras 😭
Khamesia Sherean Tempted To Love A Rosemont Menace
Eason Storm entered Xalori Carson's life precisely when she needed him most just as she grappled with the profound loss of her child, an experience from which many women struggle to recover. Overwhelmed and weary from the burden of resilience, she found herself yearning for support, as her son needed a father figure in his life.
From the very first page, the story captivated my attention. The depth of Easton's love for Xalori and her son was beautifully portrayed, making the narrative all the more compelling.
Xalori Carson had adopted his daughter Ginger, and her baby boy, Nasir, providing her with a reason to carry on. Yet, the absence of her daughter, whom she had tragically lost, weighed heavily on her heart. She grappled with feelings of guilt for moving forward adopting Ginger and trying to embrace life again while still mourning her little girl. The grief she carried was a complex companion it taught her how to navigate daily life, but the memories of her loss lingered. The love she held for her daughter, Aaliyah, would never fade; she simply needed to find a way to forgive herself and move ahead—a task that proved to be more challenging than it sounded.
This book was truly remarkable. I appreciated the unexpected twists and turns that kept me on my toes. There were adversaries lurking in the narrative that I never anticipated, and the author skillfully painted a vivid picture of each character and their circumstances. This was my first encounter with this author, discovered through TikTok, and I was thoroughly impressed with their work. I look forward to exploring more of her books, especially since they are available on Unlimited. This certainly won't be my last read from this talented author. ✍🏾
This was a good read overall, but I found myself struggling with the writing style at times. The author has a serious talent for painting vivid imagery, but the descriptions were everywhere—so much so that they often pulled me out of the story. Every action was wrapped in metaphor or simile, it started to feel a bit much. The prose was so descriptive that it made the pacing feel slow and, at times, monotonous.
Another challenge was the portrayal of the main character’s grief. While I appreciate a deep emotional arc, it felt like her sorrow was stretched across the entire book with very little growth until the final pages. That emotional heaviness made it hard to stay engaged, even though I empathized with her pain.
Despite these critiques, the story itself was solid. The plot had meaning, the characters were compelling, and the ending was satisfying. I just wish the emotional journey had more movement and the writing let the story breathe a bit more.
If you enjoy lush prose and deeply introspective stories, this might be your cup of tea. For me, a little less poetic flourish would’ve made a big difference.
This was a good story but it fell just a bt flat. Seemed to be missing another layer or something. A lot of 'I'll burn this city down for you' & 'your mine', which is fine, but phrase was repeated a bit too much. Also, I felt like he kept saying he'd go to war for her but he didn't really do anything. It took awhile for me to adjust to the character describing their own actions, ie "I growled menacingly", "my voice heavy with rage". That through me of more than once. I got that she was grieving and processing. I think that was handled pretty well actually. The sister was a mess and her ending in the epilogue seemed a bit abrupt. There were some typos and missed words but nothing crazy. Overall it's a decent story. I will try this author's next book.
Never read anything by this author but I am all about second chances. This book was confusing and all over the place. What really got me was she talked about after her daughters memorial how she was locked out of the house and will miss her pics on the fridge her laughter so I am thinking she was a toddler or maybe somewhere around 4 or 5 but when she said she died of SIDS I am like no way. Then later on she said she gave birth and baby died a few months later now so you see where the confusion comes in. This wasn’t a thought out book rather fiction or not it still needs to be somewhat believable. This is a hard pass
We all love an unhinged mmc....Just dont let that be the entire storyline. Also, it's wild that he had an eye in the sky, trackers & cloned her phone but he let everybody & their mama play her face for too long. It gave possession as opposed to protection especially since he has unaddressed abandoned issues. Which brings me to her unchecked grief. Let the storyline breathe...her grief & him being obsessed with her really became the personality of the book. Sprinkle a couple characters to shake things up and that's whole shebang. Oh and an editor that can keep the story straight woulda helped two. There are a couple times where things said later in the book conflict with earlier statements.
I enjoyed this story but some things were missing for me. For instance I would have liked more of a background on the MCs. Now towards the end we did get a little bit of Eason’s background but I would have liked more. I feel like I didn’t know much about Xalori’s story besides knowing she lost a child and I’m assuming her mom at some point. It’s just a lot of holes that I need filled. Prime I’m glad the trash got taken out. He was a weak man and I’m glad he got his karma unfortunately his bad deeds have fallen on Sanaya’s shoulders hopefully things work out for her. Because even though it took some time she was finally coming to her senses.
Tempted To Love A Rosemary Menace wasn’t a bad read, there was just a lot of content that I found repetitive. There was a lot of background content about Easton’s family that could have been detailed, that could have helped explain some of his actions. And where was Xalori’s family? While very protective, Easton was a little stalkerish with the cameras all over the house and stuff. Prime was crazy and his reasons for supposedly wanting his family back didn’t make a lick of sense! Like hose you gone leave the way you did and still expect this woman to want you back! In what lifetime?! Overall, it was an ok read.
Eason just knew that Xalori was going to his wife. He already claimed her and her son. Xalori didn't know Eason from a can of paint. She thought he was crazy. She didn't want to put her heart on the line again. His crazy sister believed what Prime was saying. So she dragged Harmony into the mess. Harmony is jealous because Eason wasn't showing her that type of love. And Ginger is calling Xalori mommy. Xalori said she was taking anymore threats from Prime lightly. She said she was to fight, Eason said he would carry her burdens and fight for her. Once they got rid of everyone who threatened their happiness. They were content
I was truly tuned in from the first page. Xalori went through so much with losing her daughter and still trying to provide for her son. When Eason came in he just knew that he didn’t want to let Xalori go. The parts I didn’t like was the constant breakdowns Xalori kept having even after Eason kept proving hisself to her. I also didn’t like how Eason left his sister to dry although she asked for forgiveness. This was a good read. Those two both had things that they had to work on from their past.
“This ain’t no fairytale. Ain’t no white horse, no magic kingdom, no glass slipper bullshit. It’s better. It’s ours.”
This book beautifully depicts grief, the process of healing and embracing love. It’s heavy. It’s real. It provokes thinking moments, empathy and grace. Love is a menace here for sure and shows relentlessness. Happily ever after, their way. Amazing read from a new to me author.
After reading rebound I was excited to read another one of this author’s books. This was great. Eason was with all the book baes are made of. Xalori was stubborn but I don’t even think she was stubborn enough. Sayani and Harmony with the most pointless beef ever. Prime knew what as up. It was a part I didn’t understand why he was going so hard.
This book had me hooked from the very beginning! Eason is definitely the definition of unhinged but multiply that times 10! He is a man of true word. He stands on complete business and loves with his pure heart and pure intention, it may come across as crazy lol but it’s the type of crazy I love i love 😂😂!! I love this book down! It is definitely a 10 out of 10 for me!
This was my first time reading a book by this author. Overall I like the characters and the storyline. It kept me locked from start to finished. However the writing style was kind of confusing when it came to timelines. There were some errors throughout the book along with repeated lines that’s why I gave it 3 stars.
This wasn't a book with a second act breakup This was a man that protected his woman from the get go and loved her in all of her pain. Old people from both of their lives tried to ruin them, but Easton was not going for nun of that. If you love unhinged, over protective, BDE, this the one!
First, congratulations to the author. Secondly, the cover sold me hard it’s beautiful. But the FMC really turned me off I mean I understand the hesitation but either way u is or u ain’t but dog just all the back and forth turned me off
The book was good. I didn’t give it 4 stars simply because some scenes in the book was just not necessary and I felt like the MMC just kept repeating the same things and a lot of times the FMC was just annoying. I did like the storyline.
From the first scene to the last, this story was so intense! The feelings that Eason had for his woman and her son from the onset were jump, off the page strong. The emotions as she mourned her baby girl just as intense.
Good read. Dude was crazy, but in the end it made sense. Glad both of them were able to heal. Now I was confused about how old the kids were and how to pronounce the girl's name but it was overall a good book.
For some good reasons, I really enjoyed this book so much. It has my favorite things in a book and also a very good pacing and writing is so easy to get into. I would have loved more of them though but I enjoyed it.
This is the first book I read from this author and she did not disappoint!! I know we love an unhinged man and Eason was definitely that and more lol. I’m happy things worked out for Xalori after all she went through!
Quick read. It’s messy. it’s drama. ….. in a way people met their karma. Kinda want Sayani to get a story. Really liked her name but not her….. behavior
From the first day Eason saw Xalori so broken in the ER with Nasir, his heart called out to her! With all they went through with Harmony and Prime, they persevered and found their HEA! Great read!
Well this book had me on a emotional roller-coaster from the beginning to the end. And the author took her readers on a journey of drama, emotions, unhinged, still processing and trying to heal at the end.
