I think chicken soup for the soul is an amazingly awesome book!!! I love how the stories are separated into little stories up to only 5 pages long! Even though they are designed for old ladies, (no offense to them, he he) I think peoples of all ages will really enjoy this book. Especially if you're totally obsessed with dreams, like me!!!
With tons and tons of joy, (really! I'm not kidding)
Full disclosure: I wrote one of the pieces in this edition of Chicken Soup "No One Listened."
I have loved the Chicken Soup books and read many of them over the years. I love the bite size chunks that can be digested here and there in my day. I love the feel good take away from each story. The amazing dreams our minds produce and how we each perceive them.
Short story anthologies aren’t really for me. I liked the stories and the quotes at the beginning of each one, but the weight of them felt too fleeting, superficial and forgettable in this format.
I always enjoy the Chicken Soup for the Soul books, and this one was no exception. It was interesting to read of the authors' dreams and what their interpretation was of those dreams. Makes me wish I was a dreamer, but alas, any I've had over the years have always eluded me. You'll enjoy reading these stories.
I thought that this was an OK book. It did take me 3 months to finish it. The stories didn't really impress me that much. But I will continue to read more Chicken Soup for the Soul books.
Very interesting short stories about visitation, premonition, and vision type dreams. Some were amazing and some were only a touch otherly in feel, but overall the book was exactly the type of thing I was looking for, which is paranormal and/or spiritual without complete overt Christian or religious tones washing out the entire experience.
