After an EMP plunges Chicago into chaos, podcast host Stephanie must escape with her brother and a stranger. With violence rising and supplies vanishing, trust becomes deadly. Will they make it out before the city falls completely?
Book 1...The repetitiveness of saying her only goal was to protect her brother was annoying. The story very slowly became likeable. At the end I was left wanting a bit more.
Book 2...More repetitive phrasing with an added continuity problem. Stay 20ft from tied to trees convicts even if they piss their pants and then comes back to the homestead under convict rule because the convicts took advantage when her followers were moving them. Maybe I missed something. There is another fair story amongst the writing rubble.
Book 3...Same book as another author, Colton Lively. Do not see credit given to Lively. Read it again anyway. Same review: A fair story amongst the repetitive nature. Author frequently established a point and then belabored point in a slightly different way. Sometimes in same paragraph. It slowed the enjoyment of reading.
Book 4...Another book by a different author, Roger Hayden. Book starts off great. Then you get a summary of what has happened before getting the back stories. Slowed the pace and enjoyment. It does pick up again and abruptly ends which was okay.
