Losing my job wasn’t on my to-do list for this work trip.

But here I am—unemployed, craving a decent iced latte, and one bad mood away from a full-on identity crisis.

No job? This too shall pass.
No plan? Story of my life.
No boyfriend? Please. Men are exhausting.

At least, that’s what I tell myself, right up until a grumpy ball of hotness offers to help me at the airport.
Tuxedo in disarray. Jawline perfectly chiseled. Smolder for days.
He looks like heartbreak suited in expensive cologne. The kind I could get drunk on.

So imagine my shock when he doesn’t just greet me, but invites me on the trip of a lifetime. No flirting. No expectations. Just company.

Like I’m a checkbox on his to-do list.

And honestly? Why not? My life’s a chaotic dumpster fire. I’d be stupid to turn down a free adventure.

Destination: Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Sounds dreamy. Fresh air, scenic views, maybe some time for self-reflection.

But it’s not until we get there that the plans are finally revealed. A marriage retreat. Yet, we’re not married. But something tells me he should be?

Now, I’m stuck roughing it with a broody stranger in a rundown camper van, heading straight into the wilds of Yellowstone National Park. No Wi-Fi. No escape.

Just me, the grumpy groom, and not a wedding band in sight. This might just be the kind of trouble I’ve been avoiding.

I wanted a distraction. A quick sabbatical.
Never expected it to be falling for the one person more lost than I am.

Two lost souls, one impulsive yes, and a trip that changes everything.

I picked this up without many expectations and got pulled in wayyyy faster than I thought I would. A few chapters in, I was hooked, fully invested, and way more emotionally attached than planned. 🫣🫣🫣

The story sneaks up on you. Easton is so reserved, carrying a weight that’s hard to watch but impossible to look away from. (Part of why it hit me so hard is that I’m super close with my siblings. I can’t imagine that kind of pain.😭🥺💔💔)
Collie, on the other hand, is blunt, open, and refreshingly honest. She doesn’t tiptoe around feelings or try to fix anything. (I think characters like her are often overlooked, but she was exactly what this story needed.💕) She just exists so unapologetically herself, and that’s exactly what Easton needed. Their dynamic felt so natural and real.

I loved how this book focuses on letting go and choosing yourself. It’s not just a romance. It’s about realizing that living for others can only take you so far, and that doing something for yourself doesn’t make you selfish. 👏🏼 I cried more than once, and I wasn’t even mad about it. 🤷🏼‍♀️😭

There’s this quiet tension running through the whole thing, like you’re waiting to see if everything will fall apart or come together. The isolated setting makes it even more intense. No distractions, no easy way out, just two people forced to face themselves and each other. (and when they finally GET together… let’s just say🔥🔥🔥)

By the end, I wasn’t ready to let go. I already know I need to go back and read the first book in this series, because if this one hit me this hard, the other has to be just as good. 🤞🏼

Five stars, no question. ✋🏼😌 Emotional, honest, and the kind of story that sticks with you long after the last page. 🩵🩷

Hold your horses because I am about to make a very BOLD statement. Without a shadow of a doubt, hands down, Collie Meadows is one of my favorite FMCs to ever be written. When I read Capri, there was something about Collie that I initially related to. I couldn't exactly place my finger on it, but I resonated with her. Now after reading her, story I can confirm that I love her personality with my whole being. Her witty commentary gave me life. Her love for wanderlust resonated deep in my soul. The way she always tried to make Easton blush made me laugh. But what really did it for me, is when she said she was told her whole life that she's hard to love and to much to handle. That hit me so hard in the gut that it knocked the wind out of me. Because it's bullshit, if you're a weak ass bitch, just say that. But do you know who isn't a weak ass bitch... Easton. He took the bull by the horns and he saw Collie for what she's worth and knew she deserved the world and he wanted to give to her.

Ok now that we got that out of the way, let's talk Collie, the whole book, not just the amazing FMC. I straight devoured this book. I picked it up and didn't want to put it down. I might have lost some sleep with this one but it was so worth it. If there is one thing you should know about me, I truly love a book with unique location and plot line and this one has both. As a wanderer at heart, I loved that this book was a vacation fling between two lost souls trying to find their direction in life set in Yellowstone National Park. I also loved this unique plot. Because listen, it's always the runaway bride but never the runaway groom... until now. And honestly, I could kiss Indy on the lips for giving me the plot she did.

I would give away the purpose for Easton being a runaway groom, but I will say this, it was so unique. Something that would have never crossed my mind. Like I saw a lot of myself in Collie, I also saw a lot of myself in Easton as well. This man has put everyone else's happiness before his own, his entire life. He is always there for people, but who is there for Easton when he needs someone? Like he is mistakenly broody. And honestly, he needed someone exactly like Collie to get him out of his self and make him start actually living his life. Also the way that this man blushed with everything that Collie said to him made me weak. Collie's no couth around Easton was the best!

Like I mentioned, these two are lost souls just trying to survive in a world that were not kind to them. But their lost and wandering paths brought them together. They found themselves in each other and it blossomed into a truly beautiful relationship. These two had me in my feels. I cried in the prologue, I giggled, blushed and kicked my feet like a school girl. I just loved this one!

If you loved Capri, you will absolutely devour Collie! I will say, I didn't know if this one could compete with Capri. Capri was a top read for me this year and is still one that I think about daily. And Collie tried really hard but Capri still has my whole heart. With that being said, this one is still damn near perfect. I loved the grieve and mental health rep in Easton's character. The only thing that I wish I saw more of, was his struggles opening up to Collie. I felt like it went 0 to 100 real quick and would have loved to see more of him struggling to be with Collie after calling off his wedding. That's the only reason why it got a 4.5 ⭐️ rating from me. But I rounded in up to 5 ⭐️ because Collie's personality was perfection!

You should most definitely read this book if you like:
- Strangers to Lovers
- Runaway Groom
- Right Person, Wrong Time
- Tortured Hero
- Misunderstood Heroine
- Fake Marriage
- Forced Proximity
- Set in Yellowstone National Park

* I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Indy Valentine and The Author Agency for allowing me the pleasure to read Collie as an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, opinions and review.

Self note:

Gotta say I'm intrigued. I've always encountered (and sometimes read about) runaway brides, but it's the first time I've stumbled upon a runaway groom. Might give this a chance to see why that's the case.

Thanks to Luna Literary for my eARC, all thoughts are my own.

I was intrigued by the stories from both characters but I disliked the FMC. I kept looking forward to the chapters from the MMC as he seemed more grounded and mature than her. I only enjoyed her goofy side which he isn’t used to at first and it’s cute seeing him embrace it. Easton is more likeable, genuine and sympathetic. His brother had passed away and before he did, he promised he’d marry his brother’s love to take care of her. However, as much as he wanted to keep his promise, he wasn’t pursuing his happiness.

I did love how I was able to devour this book in such a short period of time. The story flows so well, you want to continue reading it. I especially loved seeing the characters grow as they interact more with each other and how they began to talk more about their happiness.

“You shouldn’t talk about yourself like that. You might just become it someday.”

“Yesterday morning, I thought I had it all figured out - until I didn’t. Until I realized I couldn’t do it. I can’t pretend to be happy when all I really want is to trade lives with someone for a day and see what it feels like to live a life I genuinely want.”

“Take it from me - dimming yourself for someone else is f*cking pointless. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”

“We’re alike in so many ways, but the one thing that makes us different is that Easton has never done anything to change it.”

“The fact that he cares enough about his brother to make that sort of vow to him shows me what kind of guy he is. A rarity. Gentle and willing to sacrifice it all for those he loves.”

“I wish I knew the answer to that. All I’ve ever wanted is to have the freedom to live the life I want. It’s wild to know I have that now.”

this book was SO heartwarming. i absolutely loved collie & easton from start to finish 😭

i originally put in for the arc of this book simply for the cover and tropes i saw (i typically avoid synopses because i love to be surprised by the overall content of the book) and MAN, this book had me crying in the prologue for characters i had JUST met and wow what a way to pull me in so fast. obviously going in i had no clue what easton was running away from and finding out that it was his brothers death + things that follow just killed me.

collie is the kind of woman i only dream i could be, i absolutely loved following her during this journey and seeing her get the happy ending she didnt even know she wanted.

going into this i fully assumed easton was going to be a hot grumpy asshole based off the cover and man was i so pleasantly surprised to find out that that man is just the sweetest cinnamon roll. talk about future partner goals like 😩

indy was a new to me author before this book & capri’s and i am very much looking forward to reading some more of her work!!

First off, can we take a moment for the covers of this series. The gorgeousness.

Collie & Easton 🔥

Our wild child sister Collie here was a pure blast of sunshine.
A new holds back girl.
Fitness instructor.

Easton. I crave a pure blue collar man in books.
Lineman ladies. The boots and jeans and white tee look.
Alaska man.
He’s a little broody.

He’s the runaway groom.
And his backstory will make you want to cry in the prologue. The grief in this book was handled with very solid care.

The airport meet cute.
The “honeymoon” in Yellowstone.
The camper van.
It was a super fun concept executed well.
I had a good time.

As with the first book I loved the realistic time line.

Arc review ✨

Miss Indy Valentine if you see this review… please tell me there’s hope for the other Alaska line man boys getting books because I would be down for those!

What a gem. I devoured this book, even when it broke me in the best way. I fell in love with Collie in Capri’s story and I could not wait to get to see more of her. This woman. She is fire, and sass, and sarcasm, and inappropriateness at all the right and wrong times. She had me laughing out loud and wanting to jump through the book to give her a big hug. And Easton. I really loved the take on a runaway groom because that is not something I’ve ever seen in a romance before. He was so broken and quite literally had no idea what he was getting himself into inviting Collie on what was supposed to be his honeymoon. Watching Easton carry the weight of the world through his grief was so incredibly heartbreaking. Collie helped Easton get his spark back and I loved every second of their wild adventure in Yellowstone. The chemistry and sexual tension between these two was incredible and when that spice hits, it really hits. These two were just two lost souls in the world, trying to find where they belonged. They truly helped each other find the way and showed each other what they deserved. What it’s like to be cherished, loved, to find your lifetime partner. And really a beautiful story about choosing yourself and no longer living for others. If you haven’t read the Meadows sisters you’re truly doing yourself a disservice. This was one of my top three reads in all of 2025.

Thank you to Indy, my girl, for an arc of Collie. The Meadows Sisters will forever be ingrained in my soul.

4.5 ⭐️. Collie was the perfect book to get me out of a little reading slump! I loved Collie’s free spirit from when we first met her in Capri and I couldn’t wait to read this book! She is unapologetically herself and I love how she will say what’s on her mind and go after the things she wants. And Easton is such a caring man who is so worried about everyone else, but I loved seeing his mindset shift as he starts to think about what he wants to do with his life. They both are so perfect for each other and I absolutely adored that their adventure took place in Wyoming, as WY holds a special spot in my heart too!.

What to expect:
⚡️runaway groom
⚡️strangers to lovers
⚡️forced proximity
⚡️camping in yellowstone
⚡️fake marriage
⚡️tortured hero
⚡️misunderstood heroine
⚡️right person, wrong time

What a book!! I loved it. I thought it was so wholesome and exactly what I needed to read right now. I wasn’t expecting the smut, but was pleasantly surprised because who doesn’t love a good smutty scene?! The banter was 10/10. Collie is someone that I would looove to be friends with, and Easton was such a MAN - we love a hot MMC. I thought the relationship between Collie and Easton was PERFECTION. They were the epitome of love the whole book and I’m here for it!! Thank you so much for accepting us as ARC readers, I LOVED this book!!

3.5 ⭐️ I really did fall head over heels for Callie Meadows and Easton Voss. This book honestly pulled me out of my reading slump and back into the mood to read romance. 💛

I was gifted this eARC by Valentine PR, and while life definitely got to me and I wasn’t able to read it before publication, I still had such a fun time with it and am forever grateful for the opportunity to read and support this author! I did totally sign up for this ARC purely because of the cover (zero regrets lol), not even realizing it was book two in the series-which means I’ll absolutely be going back to read book one because WOW… I’m really in love with this world of characters.

Btws I have never wanted to go camping in Yellowstone more in my life!!!

“No Wi-Fi. No escape. Just me, the grumpy groom, and not a wedding band in sight.
This might just be the kind of trouble I’ve been avoiding. I wanted a distraction. A quick sabbatical. Never expected it to be falling for the one person more lost than I am.”

LIKE how does that not hook you immediately???

While this didn’t quite hit unforgettable status for me, it was still cozy, and really easy to fall into. A solid, enjoyable read with great vibes, lovable characters, and enough charm to keep me turning the pages.

Forever grateful for this ARC and I’ll definitely be picking up more from Indy Valentine! 💛

Hi, hello my name is Maria and I am permanently altered by Collie by Indy Valentine in the best way possible. With that being said, I would like to start out by saying THANK YOU to TAA and Indy Valentine for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!!

This was EASILY a six star read for me! I am not kidding you when I say that this altered my brain chemistry because it straight up did!! Lost girl and Ranger own part of my heart!

I went into this basically blind and I forgot to read Capri first and honestly, I am so glad I did. I loved not knowing the person that Collie was and what her relationships with her family were like before reading this book. However, I do plan on prioritizing reading Capri ASAP!

This book hooked me from the first page and my attention never faltered!! Indy wrote a perfectly paced novel that made me laugh, cry, swoon and kick my feet. This felt so heartfelt and real... like I literally felt like I was right there with them. The pacing of this book was also perfection... but let's be honest the whole dang book was perfection. I said what I said.

Collie was such a fun FMC! I relate to her so much and I loved her character immensely. She was completely unique and I loved seeing her character go after what she wanted in life.

Easton is one of my favorite MMCs. Like the perfect blue collar MMC that is a little bit broody with a side of baggage... sign me up. His backstory was so well written and I loved seeing his character grow.

Easton and Collie together though? Utter perfection! Their chemistry and banter were everything I could have ever asked for someone to write in a romance novel! Their meet cute and how things spiraled from there was epic and I have never read anything like it. The way that they supported each other and helped one another grow was what dreams are made of. Everything about them is 10 out of 10.

Indy wrote a beautifully heartfelt but also gut wrenching story full of grief and growth. The prologue had me crying and I knew I was just in for the most amazing experience right away. The grief in this book was written so well and handled with the utmost care. I applaud Indy for writing really difficult topics with such grace.

Would I suggest this to a friend? YES! Would I re-read? YES! Would I like a trophy? YES! I am just struggling to determine which edition I want... but shhh don't tell David I will probably buy one of each edition *insert evil laugh here*

Firstly, thank you for the ARC and the opportunity to read this early!

I liked the premise of this book and I thought the grief and loss aspect was written well. Easton was so easy to empathise with and connect with but I struggled to like Collie as a character, I just found her to be quite shallow. I think the author did a good job of character development with Easton but Collie just felt a little flat.
I loved the descriptions of the Yellowstone park and how she integrated it into the peace and acceptance that the MCs were trying to find.
I also liked that they went back to their respective towns to sort through their lives before finding each other again, it was definitely needed!

Overall, quite a wholesome, heartwarming read about loss, grief, and moving on and accepting change!

“We’re playing for keeps, lost girl. I’m playing to keep you.”

Two lost souls, and a trip that changes everything. The way I loved this book! I was pulled in immediately and was hooked, fully invested and emotionally attached.

Easton is this gorgeous, broody, blue collar lineman from Alaska. Wranglers, boots, white T-shirt kinda guy. He’s very reserved and carrying this weight and pain that I couldn’t imagine going through. He’s a runaway groom with a backstory that will have you crying in the prologue.

Collie is this beautiful, wild, carefree, and very blunt fitness instructor from SC. She is also now in my top favorite FMC’s. She’s unapologetically herself and just what Easton needed. Their dynamic felt so natural, their chemistry was undeniable and their banter was so fun! The airport meet cute, honeymoon in Yellowstone and the camper van was so fun!

There’s this tension through the whole book where you’re waiting to see if everything will fall apart or come together. I loved how the story focused on letting go and choosing yourself. It was so emotional and I cried multiple times😭 I just loved this story and the writing flowed so well. My first book by this author and I’ll def be reading more! YA'LL THIS BOOK WAS PERFECT.
We have a runaway groom turned strangers to lovers!!!!! I seriously can't get enough.

Easton my sweet man. After a devastating loss of his brother he's promised to take care of the person his brother loves most. Taking care of her had created a grieving bond that lead him to make it to the alter, but after realizing it didnt feel right and not the love he wanted they decided to call it off. Quite literally hoping on a plane(disheveled suit and all), he meets Collie who is 1 word away from a breakdown at the airport. A man needing to get away to truly grieve and a lost girl not knowing where to go next lead him to give her that extra ticket he had....which forced them to be in close proximity for 2 weeks🤭

I LOVEDDDDD the forced proximity. 2 strangers Forced in something so small a man his size could barely fit it alone?! GOLLYYYYY the tension was hot.

Collie is such a badass of a woman. She knows what she wants and thats HOT. The way I didn't know what was going to come out her mouth was hilarious 😭 And with how shy and reserved Easton was I just love that she made him blush 🤭

The chemistry between these two were off the charts. The fake marriage and having to do couple things was just the cherry on top 🥹 The fact she helped him grieve and helped him cope was so beautifully written. I cant get enough.

I just love these two😭

thank you Indy for the opportunity to read early❤️

✨Collie✨

Wow did this book really do it for me. Never have two characters deserved to find their HEA’s than Collie and Easton. My heart broke for that man and his big heart! He’s been through so much and then along came Collie and she was exactly what he needed. And vice versa. Collie finally found someone to call home in one of the most unlikely places. The plot was so different and held my attention the whole time. The spicy scenes….oooo boy! 😮‍💨🫠 And the way they show up and love each other is truly something else. I melted into the floor when they are in the hotel after Capri’s rehearsal dinner 😭🥵

Pleaseeee pick up this duet. You won’t regret it!! I already started on Indy’s backlog too 😆 get ready for me to be really annoying in your DMs GF 🫶🏽

Collie by Indy Valentine is a dual pov, forced proximity, fake marriage to love story. For the most part, I read while riding home from travels after Christmas, and I was addicted to Easton and Collie's story. After reading, I need to go back and look into Capri's story as well. Thanks for having me ARC read. 5 out of 5 stars!

At first, I wasn't a fan of the FMC, Collie, but the more I learned about her personality, the more she grew on me. Sheila and Dan were phenomenal side characters. Whenever they were on page, their interactions always had me giggling. As for Easton, I found myself relating to him, his feelings, and some of the things he's gone through. I love both Easton and Collie. Not only was their story beautiful, but it tied together so well in the end.

This book was so cute! I really don’t know what I was expecting but I didn’t think it was going to get an emotional reaction from me but the beginning hit me hard. Easton is so precious and I love his kindness and that you really can see his heart. Collie is an absolute spitfire and I just loved her energy! They are so cute together and I’m so happy that they found each other among the chaos. It was two lost people making each other whole and it was beautiful!!

Collie is my spirit animal, and I love that she says everything on her mind. It completely throws off Easton from the moment they met, and that is what hooked me immediately. I love their meet-cute, and how their relationship develops naturally, and it didn't feel forced. They spent 2 weeks uninterrupted in Yellowstone.

The one thing I did not think I would have done while reading this story was cry. And, boy did I cry. I was not expecting that. The emotional moment was a turning point for Easton. This was such a cute story filled with humor, vulnerability, and some yummy spice!

Indy Valentine does it again!! The characters she creates are so realistic and heartfelt that you cant help but want to be besties with them. The Meadows sisters have a piece of my heart, I really enjoyed Capri and am obsessed with Collie! You knew her story was going to be good from the glimpses you get to see saw of her in her sister’s book.

I fell headfirst into this book and didn’t come up for air until the end. Collie is pure, beautiful chaos, she’s the kind of heroine who storms into your life like a hurricane and somehow leaves everything softer in her wake. She’s messy, impulsive, recently fired, and absolutely impossible not to love. And when she crosses paths with Easton at the airport, him with a spare ticket and a shattered almost‑wedding behind him, well it feels like fate cracking open a door.

Their dynamic hooked me instantly. Two strangers, both running from something, deciding to step into a lie together: pretending to be married on his honeymoon. It should feel ridiculous, but instead it’s tender and strangely hopeful. The nicknames, Ranger and Lost Girl, aren’t just cute; they become this quiet language between them, a way of saying “I see you” without having to explain the ache underneath.

What I loved most was how they pull each other back to life. Collie coaxes out the version of Easton he buried to make other people happy, the spontaneous, curious, alive version of himself. And Easton? He doesn’t try to tame her chaos. He values it. He values her. He gives her space to be loud and messy and real, and in return she gives him the courage to stop shrinking.

Their grief sits between them like a shared shadow, but instead of dragging them down, it becomes the place where they meet each other honestly. They offer each other safety without conditions, comfort without fixing, love without pretending. Watching them slowly shift from strangers to partners in this strange, stolen adventure felt like witnessing two people finally exhale.

For me this was the kind of romance where the characters heal not by being changed, but by being seen. This one hit me right in my feels. This one will hit me right in my feels. The ending is so well earned. It’s tender, chaotic, funny, and unexpectedly profound, it’s the kind of story that reminds you how love can feel like coming home.

A huge thank you to Indy Valentine & Luna Literary for the early copy!

After being thoroughly impressed by Indy Valentine's first book, Capri, I knew I had to sign up for Collie and I'm so happy that I did. The first few chapters set up the stakes for both of our main characters: Easton is a runaway groom who is searching for meaning in his life through the fog of personal loss; Collie is newly unemployed without a plan in place for what to do next.

I loved Collie's personality from the moment we meet her. Filled with a love for wanderlust, she's a fitness instructor without a place to lay down real roots. Collie is full for fire, sass, and sarcasm that made me laugh out loud as she let her thoughts be known throughout the novel I loved following Collie on this journey as she says yes to an intriguing proposition: a two week "honeymoon" vacation with a man she barely knows.

Easton is so reserved, weighed down by tragedy that is hard for anyone to carry alone. It was the first time reading about a runaway groom; a rare sub-trope in the romance genre that I would love to see more of. Easton put everyone else's happiness before his own for his entire life. He is always there for people. Dealing with my own personal loss in my life and that selfless nature, I related very closely to Easton. but the biggest question is who is there for Easton when he needs someone to lean on? That answer is Collie.

The dynamic between Collie and Easton was incredible to see unfold. Collie got Easton out of his self guilt and helped him to actually start living. Collie made it a personal mission to make Easton blush and uncomfortable with every word she said to him. Collie, who has always thought that she was hard to love and too much to handle, found out that those beliefs are not true as Easton showed her the caring that Collie deserved. In the unique setting of Yellowstone National Park, two lost souls just trying to survive a world that was unkind to them on different levels and finding their purpose in one another as a truly beautiful relationship blossomed from it.

If you loved Capri, you will love Collie! It's very different from Capri and that's a great thing and a strength to Indy Valentine's writing talent. I loved the grieve and mental health representation in Easton's character along with Collie's struggle with loving herself; both equally given respectful space to breathe and evolve for the reader to become invested in both characters along with their love story.

Thank you to Indy Valentine and Luna Literary Management for allowing me the opportunity to read Collie as an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Well that was the most adorable, sweet yet sad, comforting little warm hug of a book. Indy Valentine really is the queen of a meet-cute and having a way of creating these characters that come together so beautifully to just feel soul-tied.

Easton & Collie were both on a journey of healing and acceptance within themselves, and together they were able to find it. Its like they had a comfort in one another right from the get go. They felt the hurt inside the other and instead of judging them or making them feel less than, they were able to just connect and feel safe in opening themselves up to each other. They each became a comfort they didn't know they were desperately searching for. They also gave each other the safe space to grow into who they truely wanted to be.

And omg thank god for no third-act break up! Yes they had time apart, but that was spent with still having constant communication and just getting to know one another on an even deeper level.

Their relationship just felt so comfortable and easy. They were able to take each others broken shells and patch them back together. Easton had been through a terrible loss and feeling so much weight on his shoulders. And Collie was constantly running, afraid to be who she truely is because of the doubts her own mother put into her mind. Together they were able to fight to be their true selves. Easton was able to heal through his brothers letter and Collie finally felt loved and accepted.

This is one of those books that is so sweet but yet so emotional. But it felt so healing at the same time. Overall it was a 4 ⭐️ read for me.

5 ⭐!!!

Thank you to the author Indy Valentine and Luna Literary Management for an e-arc of the book in exchange for an honest review!!

I LOVED this book SO much!! Our characters Collie and Easton were so perfect for eachother, and I enjoyed reading their story as both a couple, and as individuals.

Collie and Easton meet out of the blue. Both lost and unhappy with themselves Easton offers his extra ticket to Collie and they embark on a trip to Wyoming together. Easont and Collie both struggled with finding who they were after rough patches in their life. I think they were perfect for eachother and I really loved that the author wrote them in such a way that really made sense for the characters. Easton and Collie needed each other as friends before they needed each other romantically.

I will say major TW for grief! I think the way Indy handled Eastons grief was great. It was subtle. Like glitter. Book had so many layers and i grew to care about these characters so much.

Collie and Easton stood out both individually and as a couple. I was hooked from the begining and did not want the book to end. They relationship developed perfectly and I honestly could've read 100 more pages of them!!

Again thank you to author Indy Valentine for a copy of the book!! I would recommed if you're in the mood for an emotional romance!!

For starters, I was already obsessed with Collie from Capri, but her book - just became one of my favorite stories.

Things I LOVED:
- The pacing of the book. When put into perspective, first 70% of Collie happens in a two week span, and yet Indy Valentine was able make me forget the time frame entirely, and didn’t make me feel rushed.
- Strangers to Lovers trope. I’m not entirely sure I can say I’ve read many books with this trope, but our MMC Easton made this a trope I want to explore more.
- The banter between Collie and Easton. Chef’s Kiss. Perfection. I was laughing so much with the quick wit of Collie and Easton just not knowing how to react.
- The sobs that l sobbed. When I say I wasn’t expecting to cry l, I mean my glasses were fogged from my tears and I had to pull myself together. A book that can make me feel raw emotions, will always be top tier.

TROPES:
🔥Runaway Groom
🔥Forced Proximity
🔥Strangers to lovers
🔥Camping in Yellowstone
🔥Hurt/Comfort
🔥Right Person Wrong Time
🔥Blue Collar MMC
🔥Fake Marriage

Indy didn’t just raise the bar with this book — she drop-kicked it into Yellowstone.

We met Collie in Capri and I already knew she’d be trouble in the best way. Giving her the spotlight? Dangerous. This woman is unfiltered, wildly inappropriate, emotionally layered, and armed with sarcasm like a weapon. She’s laugh-out-loud funny one minute and quietly devastating the next. I wanted to high-five her, hug her, and occasionally tell her to behave (she did not).

Then there’s Easton — a man running from a life that shattered him. His story unfolds slowly and painfully, carrying grief, guilt, and a weight he doesn’t know how to put down. Watching Collie barrel into his carefully fractured world was chaotic, tender, and deeply healing. Their journey felt raw and real — two people not looking to be saved, but accidentally finding exactly what they needed.

The tension between these two is dangerous. It crackles. It simmers. And when the spice finally lands? Oh, it lands. But beneath that heat is something far richer — a story about choosing yourself, unlearning survival, and discovering what it actually means to be loved without conditions.

Massive thank you to Indy Valentine and The Author Agency for introducing me to the Meadow Sisters and trusting me with this ARC. Do yourself a favour and read Capri and Collie — skipping this series should honestly be illegal.
