I absolutely loved this book. It was full of great pop-ups, pull-tabs, and flaps. You could actually take the letters the fox wrote out of various mailboxes and read them! What a clever story.

I loved this book as a kid, and when my first child was born I ordered it used online. It wasn't cheap... but it was soooo worth it. My daughter LOVES this book.. as do my other children. I love how dark it is. Not a lot of kids books these days would end a book the way this one does, but that's precisely why I love it so.

I read this book so many times when I was a kid! This book listing needs a picture, the pop-ups were great, I used to imagine that Fox was inviting me to dinner with those letters in the mailbox. Great for young readers who like their funny stories with a darker shade.

This book is such a beloved classic in our home. My son has been requesting it frequently for years. It is one of the first books he began reading along with.
A truly delightful book.
