DORIAN'S TASK - Book One of the NYACENE RECORD is a prelude to the Nyacene-Var intergalactic war. Torrin is an Elite in the service of Avanu, a planet dubbed The Pleasure Kingdom. He accompanies Dorian, wayward prince of Avanu and agent of the intergalactic Guild of Assassins on a mission to recover "lost" intel. They enter the domain of the secret order of the Nyacene. There they learn that Dorian's connection to the ancient war-cult runs deeper than anyone could have ever imagined. As their bond deepens, Torrin is forced to make a choice that irrevocably alters both of their fates.
