Does the love for a wife and the jealousy for an infant, warrant murder?
After ten years of bad dates and worse relationships, Stan is in heaven, for he has finally found his soul mate, Erica—a beautiful, caring woman who shares all his beliefs, to include not wanting children. They discussed this over bottles of red wine the night they met and promised, if ever they became a couple, they would remain childless and forever the other’s priority.
One year after being married, Erica tells Stan she’s pregnant: news she’s very happy about. Stan considers talking Erica out of it, but that would mean aborting her child, something he knows Erica would never do.
Two months into the pregnancy, Stan notices changes: times he and Erica enjoyed as a fun-loving childless couple are no longer; Erica’s attention is occupied with all things related to the forthcoming baby, and Stan has gone without sex for months. The child arrives and things get even worse; Stan feels like an outsider: a stranger living among his wife and her son. Erica gives all her time, attention and love to the infant, leaving none for her husband. Stan becomes envious; he looks at the newborn as a threat, tells himself something must be done—but what? He fights his jealous thoughts, knowing horrible things would happen if he were ever to act on them. But one night while drunk, Stan attempts to make love to his wife but is once again rejected. His pride hurt and feeling disowned, Stan stumbles into the baby’s room with intentions of eliminating his problem once and for all, knowing there can only be one man in Erica’s life. That is the promise his wife had made him on the night they met, and it is the promise he intends to make her keep.

RM Johnson never disappoints. This book starts off great but then it slows down and then it takes off. I love the twists in this story. He always keeps you wanting to know more. There were several errors in the book but overall a great story.
This book will have you angry and ready to toss it across the room. But you will go back, pick it up, and finish it. And the ending will make you breathe a sigh of relief and then toss again.
So...he felt he was too good of a man to cheat on his wife, so he murdered her baby instead?? Yeah, sounds like she'll have lots of free time to service him in between mourning. In other words, this book was dumb. Glad it was all a dream! :-P

Oh no she didn't! Oh no he didn't! What the what? Read read read. I couldn't put my kindle down. The realness of these characters. The awesome storyline that leave you salivating at the mouth and holding your breath. I want to say more BUT I would prefer you find out yourself. I highly recommend this book.
I'm still trying to figure out if I like the ending of this book. This is a really good book ,kept me on edge and made me mad sometimes . It took no time to read, I couldn't put it down. I had it in my kindle library for over a year. On a rainy Saturday I decided to read and it was a awesome decision and a total relaxing day. I Highly recommend!
It takes true love for a man to agree to accept and raise the child his wife became pregnant with outside of their marriage. That is what the main character Stan agreed to do; because he loves his wife. Stan is committed to making the marriage work. I rooted for the marriage to survive. I was angry at Erica’s selfishness. I was saddened by Stan’s desperation. I enjoyed how the baby became a real person at the end when Stan addresses him by his name. The storyline is great. The characters are well developed. Unfortunately, there are many grammatical errors. I read this book in one day. I highly recommend this book. I am looking forward to the second book My Wife’s Lover!! Kudos RM Johnson!
This book has an amazing plot and it kept my attention until the end. I finished it quickly and enjoyed the fast pace of it. I gave it 3 stars because of small grammar issues and major formatting problems. I was reading it on my Kindle and there were lots of extra spaces, split/hanging paragraphs, etc. It made reading it difficult at times. Other than those technical issues I did really enjoy this book and the fact that it kept me guessing.
An amazing book about truly understanding the wants and needs of your partner before and after marriage. The title captured my interest but the book took over my soul. There are some very deeply embedded truths in those black and white lines that get blurred all together once we become married. Some people never learn how to separate the two and it price could be deadly.
My Wife’s baby was a good book. The author RM Johnson did a good job with the story line in this book. The twists and turns will keep you guessing. Maybe I watch too much TV but I can actually picture this happening. There was errors in the book but did not take away from the storyline The ending will surprise you. Thank you to the author for a great read
This was a good read despite the story being kind of disturbing. It definitely kept me turning the pages. They're were quite a bit of grammatical errors which had me fixing the words to figure out what he was talking about but overall it was a good book and I recommend if you like your books with twists and turns.
This book was a very good read. It made me change alliances several times. One day, I was Team Erica. Then as I continued to read, I became Team Stan. Mr. Johnson had me reading so fast, just to get to the next jaw dropping moment. This book is really about relationships and how one simple incident can strain or break a seemingly strong relationship.
This book painted such a vivid picture of what the protagonist was feeling, it made me feel as if I were doing something horribly wrong. It made me very uncomfortable. But that's the mark of a good book. It makes you FEEL. But then, I have to come to expect nothing less from author R. M. Johnson.
A great read really enjoyed it. I did not anticipate the ending but thoroughly enjoyed. The only complaint a lit of grammatical errors needed an editor but the story held my attention and I would recommend it.
i like books with twists i dont see coming. i thoroughly enjoyed this book . even though at times the characters could be quite annoying. all in all good book to read on a quiet sunday
