Bound For Hell MC #1

Wild Child (Bound For Hell MC Book 1)

Rate this book
In 1974 Bound for Hell is a dangerous and ruthless 1 percent Motorcycle Club. Central New Jersey Vice President, Veiko Finn, is one of the most feared bikers of them all. Built like a Viking warrior he is blond haired and all muscle. There is nothing he won't do for his club. He doesn't want an old lady. Kima is a wild child and as temperamental as the horses she loves to ride. With a hint of the devil in her hazel eyes, this wild child is about to take the ride of her life. She can shoot a gun and will fight like a hellcat for those she loves. So what happens when a biker warrior and a free spirit with the face of an angel literally collide on a roadside? It sets off an incredible love story that will affect the people around them forever. But their love puts Kima firmly in the sights of a sociopath and she will need to use all her skills to stay alive. Can their love for each other survive? This is their story written by a first time author who does live this lifestyle. This book is the beginning of a MC saga, which is about a club and it's members. This book contains violence, swearing, sexual content, drug use, and is recommended for readers 18 years of age and up. If the above offends you, please do not read this book.

Needa Warrant has a brilliant storyline with well rounded characters, plenty of villains to keep the plot intriguing. I hate giving bad reviews, don't like them a single bit. So I'll be honest and blunt, you can form your own opinion. So why didn't I like it you ask?

1. Over use in narration, not enough dialog, couldn't build any real connection with the characters as the story was constantly being told. Just couldn't feel it.

2. Multiple switching of point of views. Veiko & Kima, Elena & Hunter, Jo & Nailz, Thrash & China, Rabid.
Four couples, their stories playing out as the main story emerges. Wouldn't have been so bad if the transitioning was smoother. There was so much going on, information became confusing, distorting whatever the author was trying to convey

3. The immaturity level was extremely high. I thought I was reading children throwing tantrums, whining when they couldn't get their way, instead of adults or badass bikers.

4. Predictability and boring. Shortly reading the first nine chapters I was ready to call it quits. In the past from other books I learned what a grave mistake that was. Often times I changed ratings, not the case here.

5. Lack of emotional depth. I didn't feel anything for the characters. It was almost like they were robotical, we the readers are told, "so and so was jealous or in love. You didn't experience it or at least I didn't. These are my top five reasons for not liking this book, would I recommend it? No, but you may feel differently in which case good luck.

The biker/MC romance genre is one of my favorites and with the deluge of new authors putting out books in this genre over the last year I was pleased to find one that delivered a good story with more of a realistic feel to it. The wild child in this story is Kima, a young woman who was sassy, bold, independent, loving and oftentimes immature. She grew up in the story with many hard learned lessons. Kima wasn’t the whiny heroine. She always owned her actions and never made excuses for those actions. Veiko was your usual bad ass bad biker living the life in a real 1% club. He meets Kima literally by accident and their relationship develops around the lives and activities of their friends and relatives, most of which belong to the club. The book is set in the late 70’s but while reading it, I found that the story could easily be transposed to current day. Kima and Veiko have a tumultuous, stormy relationship filled with love, hate and conflict but they keep coming back together. Veiko lived by the rule of the club always comes first. The characters introduced in this story grabbed me and I wanted to follow each of their stories. The secondary romance between Nailz and Jo played a vital part in the book. They were strong characters who loved each other but seemed to be constantly at odds, the same as Kima and Veiko. The story flowed well for me, especially considering there were several relationships along with club activities being covered. Kima and Veiko were the main couple but there were so many characters that drew my interest. I hope there will be a sequel for Nailz and Jo.
I liked the fact that this book was realistic but still included believable romance with a less than perfect hero and heroine. The angst and drama was there throughout the book and we are introduced to a true villain who tries to take Kima as his own.
This was a solid 4.5 star read for me. Some readers might have a few problems with format, third person vs first person. I didn’t have those problems because I was caught up too much in a well written story filled with characters and action that kept me turning the page. I hope to read another story about the Bound for Hell MC soon.

This is My AMAZON Review........ :-) :-)

For first time Authors ... it was a Dam Good Read.... It was a fabulously long book so you got introduced to a lot of people ... Drama through out .. Yip Club who'res that got put in their place.... a Love that WOW.. if you could get through what happened , you could face Literally anything ... to me I did feel like I was a fly on the wall listening & watching what was going on.. happening around me so th book was written
As who was talking.. wasn't disjointed at all... flowed nicely from one to the next situation , so no problems there..... now Kima as the Book cover reads Wild Child yes she was but I felt as if she had to be .. she had to be independent from a young age, she New what she wanted in life , Veiko the man she wanted came with strings... his Club ... that's the juggling act he had to learn... balance & he had to learn that the hard way a lot of the time... at least she stood her ground & took no sh!t from him...... Kima is no doormat..with what happened to her towards the end of th book ... big wake up call he nearly lost it all... So a Great Read ... the others in the book your getting their story as well .. the loves found , loves forming, the other guys in th club your getting to know...So the next book is about Jo & Nailz we meet them in this book got involved in some of their drama, it's big.... & left at his first real .. fu¢€ up surrpose he now has to sort out the balance of both...his old lady & club Jo really wasn't told a lot of anything , as Nailz thought she was a hell of a lot softer than Kima .. but he should of realised when what happened in the woods that she was a lot stronger than she was .. she just needed to be told th truth of what was going on then she could handle & deal with it... So there th next book will be just as interesting as this one was... I Enjoyed it Enormously ... it had a more realistic feel to it..... So Get One Clicking People... It's One that needs to be Read & Enjoyed..... Happy Reading. :-)

I looked at the blurb for this book and put it as a maybe read; I then picked it up as a freebie on a facebook page and decided to give it a go.

This was a tough book for me to finish and not because it was over 500 pages long. It was the writing style and lack of editing on both the content and style/grammar/word choice levels. First, it was a good storyline and plot: set in the 70s with lots of what seems to be real-life biker sex, blood, and bikes; a stubborn self-absorbed biker chick; an alpha biker guy (well, many alpha biker guys - bad, badder, and baddest); and a lot of parents-just-don't-understand me but are drunken drug users anyway.

I did finish it because these are (as far as we know) new writers, and I wanted to give this book a chance. What would have made this book even better for me: some additional contextualization (it is set in the 70s, but there's not a lot about that era to really place it in its timeframe - the songs, the big concerts [especially from rockers that bikers would like], the protests that bikers could always be seen at, etc), some revising and cutting down on material that really was non-essential to the storyline, and some significant attention to editing/proofreading.

When the next book comes out in this series (about Jo and Nailz probably), I will think long and hard about buying it but will probably give these authors one more chance to win me over as a reader.

In the mid 1970's Vieko is a 26 year old Vice President of a 1% MC called "Bound for Hell" based out of New Jersey. One day while taking a little quiet ride on his motorcycle he sees a girl on a horse. He thinks she is a vision of perfection an angel. Her name is Kima..

Thus it begins.....

There are many twist and turns in the beginning of this relationship and I don't want to spoil that part for any one but its, humorous, heartbreaking, funny, sad at times. But,
its just the beginning.

Soon there comes a bad man, "Rabid", President of a different chapter of the "Bound for Hell MC". He is phycotic, sick, twisted, and he has decided he wants Kima for his own..

Between miscommunication and the maniplative "Rabid", Viko's bitchy Mother, The club, and the firey Kima.. I don't know what's stands in the way more.
Viko and Kima or other people.

But in the end Viko promises to give her Marrage, Dogs, Horses, and children.
I mean who could not resist that HEA....Fairytale...
NOT ME....

Cant wait for next instalment of Kima and Viko....

This story had a lot of meat and potatoes(literally:) Kima Regan the "wild child" and Veiko Finn VP of the Bound for Hell MC are an unlikely but great pair. I loved the secondary relationships too-Jo and Nailz, Hunter and Elena (the veterans/parental figures of the bunch). V and Kima have a hard road ahead- with V's club obligations, Kima's own goals(and her plain old stubbornness, which I loved), and all the outside forces- their families both biological and club. They also have to deal with rogue members, rival MCs, the gender hierarchies within the club. Kima and Jo are pretty "green,"but learn very quickly how to deal with pushy bikers and club chicks. As an avid MC/biker romance reader I tend to see the women as the strongest characters. They are usually they ones who endure the most, settle the most, and struggle the most. Maybe it's because most of these MC books have female authors, who knows? My only "note" would be the formatting and editing was off in spots, but for a first timer who self pubbed, great job!

DNF I got to 10%

I don't normally review books I haven't finished because it seems so unfair plus sometimes while the beginning is poor it will pick up later but my problem was the way this was told, it's hard to explain exactly what I didn't like but it felt more stated than written, it didn't flow and I felt someone had written the bones of it and was now waiting for someone else to make it into a book.
Although I didn't read very much I found I couldn't link to or really care about the characters I felt detached and never once felt as if I could loose myself in this.
I stopped at one point and checked the reviews on Amazon and they were amazing so I continued on but it just wasn't for me.

A Wild Ride You Won’t Want to Miss!
Kima truly is a wild child. Set in the 70’s this is our first look at the Bound For Hell Motorcycle Club. Let me just say that Kima isn’t the only one who get swept away!
Kima’s life is somewhat privileged and all the way hard. She spends a lot of time at her close friends house—a house that’s considering joining with the club in the future. Kima meets Veiko and every part of her screams to be with him.
Will V be able to tame this wild child? Or does fate have another idea in store for them? I’m not going to give it away—but I will say I’m dying for Nailed.

Good First Book!

In the mood for an MC book, I started this series that I've had for over 2 years. I loved it. This is this writing duo's first effort but you wouldn't guess that.

The main characters, of course, are high up in the MC food chain but except for one asshole they are all likable (and even lickable!) V and Kim's met when the almost collided on the highway...she on horseback and Veiko on his Harley. They meet again at the party her friends have asked her to lend a helping hand at but her best friend, Jo, also meets her future man Nailz.
Things are very tumultuous for the characters as they try to start new relationships amid an insane President, two pregnancies, a wedding, drunk irresponsible parents and much more.

I recommend this easy-reading book and now I'm onto book 2...Jo and Nailz's story.

I miss the 70's...those were the days of my youth and living in upstate NY for a while with my biker ex-hubs, it was a time of free love and partying all night long and only getting to ride when it wasn't snowing.
This book took me back and the story was so full of rich and complex characters...not your usual biker romance but read more like the memoirs of an old lady and her life learning to adjust and live in an MC.
I found it really interesting that Kima and her friend Jo were the typical free spirits of that time and the relationships they had with their parents and each other were so relatable, I found myself smiling a lot.
Veiko was a contradiction of a biker...at once fierce and loyal to his club brothers and then soft and loving...wanting to be the man Kima deserved and needed him to be. Although to me this book was mostly their story, we were also given many other couples and their histories (presumably for future books) as well as a lot of club business and interactions between several rival and affiliate clubs.
It contained a fair amount of violence, sex and was very different from many of the current biker books available right now. I am excited to get more of Jo and Nailz's story in the next book.
Recommend for those who like new and different and since it is supposedly "loosely" based on a life the authors know, it lends a more authentic feel to the stories.

**** 4 **** "a beautiful wild child and her tough ole man" stars

I have always been interested in biker culture and yes SOA fed that then I decided to look and see if anyone was writing about it or had written about it. Ms.Warrant writes to support her love of animals and rescues them shes been a bikers old lady. Ive had several conversations with her and i highly recommend her books. They are real page turners and you get involved in the characters she writes about.

This review is from: Wild Child (Bound for Hell MC Series Book 1) (Kindle Edition)
I just finished this awesome MC book. It's one of those books that you can not put down. It's raw. It's hot. It's sad and it's happy. It will have you on the edge of seat, crying both happy and sad tears, and screaming at your Kindle. It's the most realistic and gripping MC Romance book I've ever read and I've read a lot from some of the greats... First time author Needa Warrant takes you on a journey you'll not soon forget...

Speaking of a first time author...REALLY? Excellent writing with very few editing issues and even those were very rare. I'm really blown away that this a first time author. I've seen some reviews. No, there wasn't too much word building, but honestly, if you're reading for a good concise story, who cares? I never, not once, had to back track to figure out what was happening because of confusing writing that frequently happens with experienced writers. The characters were well developed and made me feel real emotion. Are they all are likable? Nope, but the ones that aren't likable are not suppose to be and I would worry about you if you did like them.. LOL...No more details there because I never give spoilers... You'll have to one click and I recommend that you do just that. You can identify with the characters because they were real, or at least seemed like it. There were things about Kima and Jo that I related to. The plot is well developed and flowed effortlessly with no gaping holes or confusion. It flows TOO well because it doesn't give any "stopping places," making you want to just keep reading until it's over...

I am still in shock that I read a 500 page in less than 24 hours, stopping only to go to the grocery store because a winter storm was upon us. Now I'm in a book hangover and am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series... Hurry, please... Can't. Wait. Much. Longer.

There are so many things I loved about this book. As a very avid reader, I sometimes grow tired of the exaggeration of HEA that are in certain books that I know is not even close to real. It's fiction. It's an escape. I get it but I like it when there is some reality that gives a believable feel. You get that with this book. While the book is entertaining and gripping, it is believable and that causes those emotions I spoke of earlier to ignite. I avoid books with a sad, rip your heart out endings. I do prefers HEA, but with some topics a HFN is more believable and therefore acceptable. It was perfect for this book.

Still on the topic of reality, I would be remiss if I did not thank this author now for believable, albeit hot, sex scenes. Yep... I'm going there, briefly so as not to offend anyone because I want you to one click. This is the first book that no one tasted like honey or strawberries. No one saw stars, left the earth into another dimension or passed out fron sliding over the edge with pleasure. And...wait for it...swallowing wasn't the best thing ever for the women and there was one who hated it!! Imagine that!! Thank you Author Needa Warrant. You are the first to make these scenes REAL but keeping them hot, hot, hot! Bravo!!

Wrapping up, if you enjoy MC Romance books, you'll love love love this one. I'm a big fan of MS and JW and their very famous MC series' and I enjoyed this book as much as those books. I definitely recommend this book, the coming series and this author!!! One click now. I promise you will not regret it!!

Wild Child is a must read novel as far as I am concerned. I am a MC blogger and have read many in this genre, and I have to say that this is set in a era where things were different than they are now. Men were still alpha, but women were just starting to pave the way. Kima was no acceptation to that and was one that was helping with the foundation in what women have become today, as far as being liberal and outspoken. I am in awe of the story line between Kima and V. The men of that generation were unsure of what to do with women who were strong and independent and unwilling to give any leeway to their alpha men on any terms. Kima wanted to work and earn her own money and be able to support herself. V was in a 1% MC and was use to being in charge so letting go was hard for him to do, but his love for Kima allowed him to give a little on that. It was a battle of wills and a hardship when families didn't want them together and were willing to do whatever it took to pull them apart. The fight this young couple has to go through, between being taken against her will and his being helpless, being injured and cannot fight for her. Breaking up, Anger, Fighting and making up MC style. Hot Sex, bikes, fights, water and did I mention sex? Many different situations and is continuously flowing and the story never dies down. And to the one who left the inaccurate review of grammar and spelling mistakes they have gone back through and had it re-edited. I have read before edits and after, and to be honest I was so taken with the story that I and other bloggers never noticed any "major mistakes" or it wouldn't have made it through to our blogs! Accurate information is appreciated while reviewing an author or don't review at all.

This is not your typical biker romance.Wild Child is so much more!

Veiko Finn, road name V,is a hot alpha biker and him and his friends are members of the Bound for Hell MC.He has a lot on his mind about the club and his old friend,Jack Daniels, fogs his mind at times.Add in some club sluts and he is not always in a good place.
Then enter in Kima , a young determined woman, with family problems of her own.Her nicknames are Trouble and Wild Child. She owns those names through and through.
That is where this book pulls away from your normal biker book. Because ,Wild Child ,has a lot of characters in it.Not back drop people who are just there to support Kima and V,but characters with their own stories to tell.
Kima and Veiko have a lot in common but in other ways are miles apart. They have a chemistry that is beyond sizzling. They have a love that is beyond words even when they try fighting it or each other.
Kima is immature in some things but very worldly wise in others .She is strong and independent.
Veiko is a good man even if sometimes he don't know it.He has problems making time for personal use instead of club business.
Wild Child has been one of my favorite reads. You get the romance, the rivalry between MC clubs, the hot guys, and a realistic view of how relationships evolve. Not sugar coated. Great job Needa Warrant and Miranda Rights.Thank you for your hard work. Can't wait until the next one!

Definitely a ride worth taking! This is Veiko and Kima's story, and it certainly is a wild one! ;) With an interesting and unique storyline, suspense, dangerous situations, lots of angst, violence, and intriguing twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat waiting for what happens next. I was pulled in right away, couldn't put it down till the end, and loved every minute of it!

There is a lot going on in this book as we get to know the men from Bound For Hell MC, the friends and family of the main characters, and some from other MC's as well. The characters are down to earth, easy to relate with, and some stole my heart. The author makes you feel as though you're right there with them throughout the entire story. Having been in the lifestyle herself for years, I love how Mrs. Warrant brings a reality to her stories that few authors can.

Although I had originally read this book not long after it's release, I was unaware of how important reviews are for authors and other readers. I have re-read this book and the entire series several times over the last year, and I can honestly say that I love them more each time I do. This is definitely one of my most favorite authors! All of her books are fantastic and keep getting better and better! If you haven't read this series, I suggest you start with this book. You won't be disappointed!
I strongly recommend thisbook and series!

Loved it

Need a Warrant is a new author to me and she cane highly recommend. So I discussed it with the person and decided that I would read wild child first. I am so pleased I did because I absolutely loved it.
I was pulled into the story right from the first chapter. I love the two main characters and was on the edge of my seat a few times. The main female character had me laughing at some of the of the thing she did. I could imagine the look on her face when as she said or did certain thing.
So up say th as no you to the person for recommending the author and thank you to the author for writing one hell of a book. I look forward to the next.
I would highly recommend this book.

Loved it! Wild Child takes place in the 70's, it's the story of Kima and Veiko.
Kima is a headstrong firecracker with the nicknames of Wild Child and Trouble.
Veiko is the Vice President of the Bound for Hell MC. He loves Jack Daniels and women and until he meets Kima he never wanted a old lady.
These two together are like fire, they have a crazy connection and some very hot scenes. There is plenty of drama and has a great cast of supporting characters that will definetly keep you entertained. This is just the first in this series and I can't wait to read more from this series. This is a must read.

I love the setting of this book, Going back to the 70’s and living the MC life back when it all seemed so badass. Wild Child is unlike any MC Read out there, I enjoyed reading Kima, and Veiko’s story. Veiko is unlike any biker you read about in the current biker reads. Kima is this free spirit who I couldn’t help but Love. This was a heartfelt love story almost like watching a movie back in the day. I look forward to more from this Author. I recommend If you like the MC Genre that you grab this book and hold on for the adventure is just beginning! This book is worth it!

A great start to a new series. It was a good read. It was fast pasted and things happened very quickly. A little to fast for me. It felt the flow of the book was off a little with the relationships happening so fast. However, it did capture my interest and kept me reading straight through. I am so looking forward to book 2. Rated very good

Gritty but good read

A beautiful blonde riding out of the woods nearly caused Veiko to lay his bike down. Then, his anger flares as she flips him off and heads back into the woods.

Kima and Veiko - a love story that will keep the reader going....and admiring the feisty young woman whose heart was stolen by the bandanas biker.

Another great MC book with the makings to be a good series... There's a lot of different POV in this book & it's longer than a lot of MC books that are being released, which i loved about it. It has all the drama, fights & ballsy women that i like in a book... Well done to the author for her Debut book, look forward to reading more!

Blown away.

I was truly blown away by Wild Child. I've read many MC books and this one seemed to be very true to the real world. It wasn't all what you would hope would happen. But it seemed so very real and true to heart. I can't wait to read more of Needa Warrants work!! She has become another one of my favorite Authors!!!
