The Black family returns in a Christmas holiday story you don't want to miss.

3.5 ★'s

This book is exactly what it sounds like. We get to experience The Blacks as they celebrate various Christmas functions and how they interact as a family.

I really enjoyed reading more about Connor and Ellery but I really loved them as a family. All the different dynamics were so interesting.

description

It was very apparent at how spoiled Julia is. I really hope that Connor reins that in...he gave me a little hope at the end of the book. And I wish there would've been more interaction between Collin and Connor. I haven't read either of Julia's or Collin's adult book to see how things progressed.

It was wonderful reading about all the different Christmas functions especially with it being close to the holidays. I thought it was great how Connor and Ellery are so hands on and want to do things with just the four of them as a family.

The incident with the little girl that Julia befriends was really sweet and heartwarming. I especially loved how things worked out.

description

The situation with Ellery's dress made me laugh...when will Connor ever learn? And their Christmas presents to each other was really sweet but a little unbelievable. I loved how everything and everyone ended up!

It was a treat getting a novella about The Black family and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has read the series and wants more Connor and Ellery.

Not a great Christmas story. The kids are spoiled, especially the little girl. The husband and wife manipulate each other often. They are really rich and they want points for taking the family, including the nanny, to pick out a Christmas tree. But, unlike those of us who aren’t rich, their tree is delivered. No tying it to the roof of the car for these folks. Then the wife sends the help out to bring in the boxes of ornaments so the family can decorate. Us regular people spend hours toting boxes in from the loft and bribing the kids to help. They have ornaments from Tiffanys, ours come from Walmart.
In a Gift of the Magi move, the husband and wife give each other the same gift. A ski trip. But they cut corners by flying commercial. So, there’s that. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Any way the part that bothered me was when they met a single mom. The husband gives her a fat check. Which was helpful, but...the guy owns a huge company and he couldn’t give the woman a better job? He couldn’t buy the building she lives in and give her cheaper rent, better maintenance for the building. You know what I mean? Its the ol’ proverb. “Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.”

Sorry to say I'm a big Sandi Lynn fan and a even bigger Forever series fan, but this Christmas story didn't do it for me. After reading Collins story I was assuming this book was going to take place after Collin's book ,but unfortunately we went back in time when the kids where six and seven , which was a huge disappointment. I saw myself losing interest fast this was a short story 100 pages or so which I normally take about 40 mins or less to read ,but it took me a couple days to read this story with skipping pages because it was so predictable and quite boring I might add. I love Sandi Lynn ,but the writing in this book doesnt compare to the first book in this series. Forever Black is one of my favorite books of all time the writing and storyline is pure genius and because of Forever Black Sandi Lynn won a avid reader and I became such a fan of the series but I'm sad to say after Julia I haven't been impressed. Collin was good but I was expecting more, I was slightly disappointed but I got over it because their were some parts that I loved ,but after reading this novella I must say that Sandi Lynn has to up her game ... I still have hope that the next story will be just like the last three. Crossing fingers ...

I give this book 3 stars because even though the story line wasn't great I still love Conner Black and the Black family.

Salve readers.
Vi ricordate della famiglia Black? O meglio, ricordate la "Forever series"? Be',

Buona lettura.

After reading Colin's book this book takes you back to their childhood. I have read so many series with the same trope but this series just hits different. The first book in the series is yes the bad boy falling for the sweet girl but then as this series divulges into their future life it becomes so much more. Generally, after reading a series I imagine their future and this book gives you all.

The character of Connor and Ellary have developed so much in these years and to see them being parents especially Connor being wrapped around his princess Julia's little finger it's so cute and also I love how sassy Julia is she knows she is going to get everything she wants because her father told herself so and damn! that confidence. she is just amazing.

I wanted to read this to see how Connor & Ellery were getting along as a family. They have two children & at this point that are seven & five years old. No major upsets or childish behavior from Ellery I am happy to report as the family prepares for the Christmas season. There are a few chapters involving a less privliged mother & daughter & it was quite touching. At times the story felt choppy, moving from one scene to the next without much fluidity. Other than that, I enjoyed seeing that this couple has a happy life & loving family.

When I started reading this series I was in a bad state and I made up my mind that only lucky persons get to find true love....
So I started reading and I was transported to another realm....
The journey of Connor and Ellery made me realise that true love does exist and it comes in an unexpected way....
I cried while reading all the books
And this book....
It was a breath of fresh air for me because I got back my aim in life
It was really sweet to witness Connor and Ellery's cute little love story and the way Sandi potrayed it....it was really different from any other book I've read...
So if you have lost your way in love I would suggest you read these series and I can guarantee you that Connor and Ellery will find that way for you😊
Go for it!!!

Love the book and would read it again... Here is a highlight from the book..**** Ellery We rang in the New Year with a bang and then took the plane back home on New Year’s Day. It felt so good to be back home. Don’t get me wrong; I loved every second of Aspen, but I missed my and Connor’s bed as well as the comfort of all of our things. As we unpacked and got settled, Connor ordered us Chinese food and the four of us started to take the ornaments off the tree and carefully pack them away until next year. “Do you think we could go to Disneyland next year?” Julia asked. “Sure; why not?” Connor replied. “Thanks, Daddy. I’m holding you to it.” I laughed. “Oh, and by the way, I’m bored with my Hello Kitty case. I saw a way cooler one online and I would like you to order it, please.” Connor looked at me and then at her. “Sorry, princess. You’re not getting another iPad case. That’s the one you wanted and that’s the one you’re keeping.” “We’ll see, Daddy.” She smiled. “Your fault,” I mouthed to him. He laughed as we continued taking the ornaments off the tree. We were a tight-knit family and Connor made sure that we did everything together, even the smallest things. Next, we would celebrate Easter, birthdays, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas again. Every year, we would build traditions and memories for our children to hold onto. Before Connor and I would know it, they’d be grown and married with families of their own. That day would come soon enough. But for now, the memories we were building with them would be for life, and they’d be memories they would treasure forever.

SO FREAKIN GREAT!!

I read the Family Forever book before this one but it took nothing away from my enjoyment of this book. Sandi Lynn never ceases to amaze me. I feel so many emotions when I read her book. I love every minute of it. When I read one of her books I prepare to settle in and enjoy the ride. Then I transport to another world. Lol. Thank You Sandi. I don't know what to say that I haven't already said about the other books in the Forever series. Little Julia is a t vs if I have ever seen one and she most definitely has her father wrapped around her little finger. She's quite spoiled. Lol. This is a series I can read more than once. I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES TO EVERYONE! 😊

Cute

This was a short, but adorable Christmas novella with the Black family.

You can definitely see that Julia has Connor wrapped around his finger and is also a mini version of Elle!! Wait until the diva grows up!!

Great read!!

Nothing better than reading about a favorite family at the holidays. Connor and Ellery want Christmas to be a wonderful day for their children, but it is the small help they give others at the holiday that makes them a joy to read.
