Amy is a registered nurse specializing in high risk pregnancy as well as being a contemporary romance author. Amy is also the proud mother of five daughters and grandmother of two granddaughters. In early 2014 after reading upwards of 300 romance novels in a years time a coworker planted the seed of writing her own novel. Never having written anything but always up for a challenge she decided to give it a whirl and wrote a synopsis for what eventually became Dark Kiss. With a big boost of confidence from her fellow nurses she began writing. In the fall of 2014 she published her first romance novel Dark Kiss which is the first in The Two Sides of Me trilogy. Dark Thief, book two, was completed and published in January of 2015 and the final installment Dark Love was released in May of 2015. "I never imagined writing a novel let alone a romance novel! I'm addicted to sharing the feeling that I get when reading my favorite stories and I can't imagine my life without writing now." Amy says she will always work as a nurse in some aspect but after releasing the story of Evan and Mia there is no way she can deny the compulsion to develop new characters and write romance novels.

...and the whirlwind of emotions continue – HOLY MOLY MACARONI!
Where do I even begin? …from be the beginning, I suppose. Dark Thief begins right where Dark Kiss ends – remember that cliff hanger? Phew and I thought maybe just maybe my heart wouldn’t beat any faster – I think it may come right out of my body! I did not expect my emotions to take such a toll, I’m at a total loss right now and so grateful book 3 of the series is out and on my Kindle – ready and waiting! If you thought the first cliff hanger was rough – you haven’t seen anything yet!
I thought Mia was a strong woman in Dark Kiss – good god – she is SUPER WOMAN! She amazes me – I am completely drawn to her, I think my heart beats at the same pace as hers!! We learn so much about her background in Dark Thief – everything makes sense – every thought she has, every feeling.
Evan? Oh my, Evan! His words…. “You’re my Angel sent straight from Heaven to save me, you know” “My heart beats only because yours does Mia” Can we say swoooon?!
Who would have thought the words Yes and No could have so much meaning?

This is book two in The Two Sides of Me series. Make sure you read book one Dark Kiss before you read this. After finishing book one I was looking forward to reading this. The author certainly didn't disappoint me as I loved it.
Mia and Evans story continues and what a story it is. I love these two characters. My heart bled for them. I was really hoping that they would find happiness.
What a great story this is. Have I mentioned the ending- oh my dayz. Absolutely loved it. I'm jumping right into book three now.

I love what I get to do. Being a blogger I get the opportunity to read some amazing awesome books for my honest review. I have to say that Dark Thief by Amy Lynn Garcia is amazing.
You definitely need to read this series. Book1 Dark Kiss started it all.
Evan Lawson seriously sexy alpha male who is brought to a very exclusive hospital for the rich and famous. He is in a coma when Nurse Mia is assigned to care for him. In the course of his coma she starts to fall for the sexy alpha. But she also saves him along with herself for a brief period of time until she runs. Feeling broken that Evan will not love her once he finds out of her tortured past. Mia was kidnapped and brutally raped 10 years ago and fears Evan will not love her .
No matter what it takes he will protect her..Even kidnapping her from the hospital that they met in.
Whisked away to Italy, Mia sees the beast that everyone fears. The other Evan not her loving one. What causes this change in him , a brain tumor that is growing. He refuses to get it removed saying that it's inoperable..Mia seems sure it is not the case. She will do anything to keep her Evan. She contacted a Dr friend to see if he can help. Dr Carter a Neuro surgeon that comes to Italy to discuss opportunity for the removal of the tumor. After discovering who Evan is Dr Carter decided to drop the bomb on Mia. He's Mafia and very dangerous. This is not the Evan Lawson she knows and loves. She doesn't care about his past she wants Evan is her future.
Evan awakes to an empty bed looking for Mia when he can't find her he calls his right hand man Isaac to find out she is in the kitchen with the Dr.after she has fainted. Evan freaks out and literally beats the Dr Carter almost to death when he sees him at her side.
After awakening from her fainting, she, Evan and Dr Carter are whisked away to the hospital. Once again her Evan is in a coma and Dr Carter is a mess.Will the opportunity to save Evan happen. Mia may have to seduce the good old Dr Carter to save Evan.
We have to wait to see.

Dark Thief picks up right where Dark Kiss ended, with a tumultuous love affair between Mia and Evan.
In this second book we learn more about both Evan and Mia's history. And many questions from Dark Kiss get answered. I'm hesitant to give too many details from the story away, but I will say that Mia is stronger than I first thought her to be. The hardships she has overcome in her past only give her the strength to deal with the trials of being involved in an all consuming love with Evan Lawson and his many sides.
Amy Lynn Garcia has done a great job of filling in the blanks and carrying the story forward. With Dark Thief the sex scenes are sexier and almost urgent given the state of Evan's condition. But there is always an underlying sweetness and gentleness even in the most intense, lust filled scenes. In the end, I loved the book. It's really a great story of a love between Evan and Mia so strong Mia vows to Evan "You go, I go".
I can't give this book a 5 star rating because I am dying over the ending. Cliffhanger is given new meaning in Dark Thief. Ms. Garcia has thoroughly infected my brain with Evan and Mia and now I have to F**king wait for the next book (Dark Love, due out in the spring of 2015).....GAH!!!

Oh boy the emotions going thru me as I read this book were insane!
I love Mia but faced with a man that has two sides to him, I really felt for her! Mia opening herself up to him about her past was heartbreaking to read. The fact that Evan was sad for her made my heart swell for how devoted he is to her.
Evan- his health issues are definitely a problem in their relationship! His dark side is horrible! But his sweet side is amazing, romantic, caring & generous! Sigh!!!
This book was another great one Amy! I felt the emotions of the characters, got so engrossed with what was happening that I really didn't want it to end! What an ending too though!

Can't put these books down .....you know the feeling want to turn the page but dreading the outcome. I'm wary of most of the characters in this book, they all seem to have an evil agenda. Evan, such a dominant man, evil sometimes, loving the next I hope the good Evan is saved and Mia gets her HEA with him but too many dark forces in the plot.
I may not have control of what’s going on in my mind but in yours I stroll effortlessly down your quaint cobbled paths feeling and experiencing exactly what you do.
“That’s better baby.” he whispers into one ear and then the other “Don’t ever leave me.” “I couldn’t if I wanted to, my life is fed by yours, and without you I’d starve to death.”
I may not have control of what’s going on in my mind but in yours I stroll effortlessly down your quaint cobbled paths feeling and experiencing exactly what you do.

The cliffhanger is delicious TORTURE!
This is the second book in the trilogy and carries on Mia and Evan’s story started in Dark Kiss. If possible, the drama is amped up even higher as Mia is whisked away from the hospital in the dead of night. Through the murky fog of sedatives Mia is unsure what is happening as the violence and horror of her past seem to be happening all over again. The author is relentless in keeping the reader’s interest as love deepens between the two main characters amidst the chaos surrounding them. The mystery that shrouds Evan’s past haunts him and intertwines into the present as his medical condition worsens and makes him strike out at everyone around him. The cruelty that surfaces in Evan is hard to reconcile when you see the lengths he goes to prove his love for Mia over and over again. The love scenes between the two are scorching but also tender and loving. There are so many twists and turns in this story that it’s hard to describe without giving away what you will want to find out yourself.
Minor grammatical errors are a bit distracting amidst the very intense scenes but the story is unique and has totally captured me. The jaw-dropping cliffhanger still has me shaking my head as I go looking for the finale – it can’t come quickly enough!

In this book, we are provided with more background info on both Evan and Mia. Evan is a man who has two sides-one good, one evil. At times, he can be absolutely terrifying, but then he shows his sweet side and your heart swells with love for him. His devotion to Mia is unbelievable, and her love for him is the ultimate definition of unconditional love. I swear, they have to be the most passionate couple I have ever had the pleasure of reading about!
While this book continues to offer more insight into Evan and Mia's relationship, their story is far from over. The good news is that the last book, Dark Love, is already out, so you won't have to wait forever to read the conclusion of their story!

Amy weaves a story like no other, pulling you into a world created for Evan and Mia and then leaves you picking up the pieces of your broken heart at the end, while you wait for the next and final installment.
How much more can these two handle? Their love is like no other. It knows NO BOUNDS... She says it best "YOU GO, I GO." And when it comes to Evan and Mia you can believe that to be true! These two are each one part of the whole and no amount bumps in the road or obstacles in their paths will ever separate them again.

Well, let me start off by saying that the true Dark Thief here is Amy Lynn Garcia. She snuck in and stole my heart when I didn't even know it. I am so invested in the story of Evan and Mia that I'm now itching for my next fix. She has literally left me hanging with the ending though. I want...no I need more.
In this second book, we learn a lot more about Mia's past as well as Evan's. Their chemistry is undeniable and the sex? Holy hotness!
I give this book 4.5 stars and I am so looking forward to finding out what happens next. Please, Amy, I'm begging you. Pull me up off this cliff and give me the next book!

First of all I have to say that the writing is great. The author grabs ahold of your emotions and never lets go. This book has you so conflicted most of the time that you don't know if you want to throw the book or cuddle it and say everything will be ok. Half the time I wanted to shake Mia and tell her to run and then I wanted her stay and believe everything would be ok. With Evan it's even worse I hate him , I like him , I love him and then I hate him. Of course it ends in another cliffhanger grrrrrr hurry up book 3, my feels can't take this! If you are looking for a series that chews you up, spits you out and then attempts to put you back together again then these are the books for you.

This is the second book in the trilogy, and it doesn't dissapoint it carries on where dark kiss left off, in this story though Evan's dark side comes out to play and i don't know if i were Mia if i would have stuck around, but she loves him so obviously she will, inbetween Evan being ill and people trying to split them up it's a wonder these two keep it together but they do, i am so glad i waited for all the books to be out because this one has a hell of a cliff hanger so straight into Dark Love i go, thankyou Amy for another great read, i have recommended these books to my friends i just know they will love tham as much as i do.

I'm speechless after reading Dark Thief! My heart is not ready to part with this book! Mia and Evan have gone through so much in such a short period of time. There were lots of twists and I never knew what was about to happen. I loved how much heart and soul was put into this story. I could feel every emotion. I am left feeling gutted and my heart hurts. Wow what an epic book! No words can quite describe how much I love this series. Trust me when I say....READ THIS BOOK!!!! You need to experience Evan and Mia!

I so hope that there is a third book in this series as DARK THIEF finishes on quite the cliffhanger. Not sure what to think of Evan. I really liked him in the first book but in this one, he is rather scary. His brain tumor is affecting his behaviour and that affects the way he treats Mia. I found myself in fear for her. That being said, when Evan is his charming self, he is quite delicious. Hopefully book 3 will be out soon.I have enjoyed this series and I hate waiting for finales

OMG!!! Mia & Evan continue to blow my mind and I mean that in the best freakin way possible!! Starting right back up from where Dark Kiss left off... Wow!! their beautiful journey continues but not without its drama Mia is recovering from her depression with the help of Evan but his own health is deteriorating. We see more of Evans past come to life and watch the struggles they face but the pull they have together is still strong. The question we are left with is can Evan fight to keep him and Mia together ?

4.5 Star Review of Dark Thief (Book 2 of The Two Sides Of Me Trilogy) by Amy Lynn Garcia
This is Book 2 and is the continuation from where Dark Kiss finished. I have to say I fell in love with Evan and Mia and their story and was anxious to see how their story continued. I wasn’t disappointed.
Firstly, I have to say that it is hard to write this review without mentioning potential spoilers; however I will try my best.
This book was amazing. Evan as we found out in the first book has a brain tumour. There are two sides to Evan, one good, one evil. The question is just how much of Evan’s evil personality changes are a result of the brain tumour. There are two sides to Mia too; her love for Evan makes her both strong and weak.
From the beginning of this book, I was shaking my head at his actions. I really couldn’t believe that he would do some of the things that he did in Dark Thief. Particularly since he was aware, although not fully initially, about Mia’s horrific past. Mia soon tells him all the details of her past. I wanted to scream and hit him. I was frustrated that Mia so easily forgave him. I know she loves him, but really to me it was way too easy. Mia spends the book loving and hating Evan, often at the same time. Whilst Evan spends his time loving and hurting Mia.
Throughout Dark Thief, the reader is sent on a constant emotional rollercoaster. It can on occasion get a little confusing as we struggle to understand the behaviour of Evan, which is obviously exacerbated by his brain tumour.
The sex is steamy and certainly sizzles. Evan and Mia together are simply combustible. The electricity seems to shoot off the pages as one reads this series.
I firmly believe that writing about Evan’s evil nature, has rubbed off on Amy Lynn Garcia. Her ending to Dark Thief, will leave you speechless and be warned there is an enormous cliff-hanger.
I cannot wait to see how the author brings this trilogy to its conclusion and I anxiously await the third and final book Dark Love.
Well done Amy Lynn Garcia, you have another hit on your hands. I highly recommend this book and the wonderfully talented Amy Lynn Garcia to you all.

I love Dark Thief! It is the 2nd book in the Two Sides of Me Series! Wow Dark Thief title is so correct because it has stolen my heart! I pretty much read this book in one sitting only, separated by work and don't tell my boss but, I had to read a little while at work too. Thank goodness for breaks and slow times.
Warning there is a big cliffie!!! With an OMG ending! What can I say? I love this series but, I hate cliffhangers! I want my HEA! Okay, I have already pitched a temper tantrum to Amy Lynn Garcia and she sent me this!
And, boy was she right! It isn't right to make me have a hissy fit and leave the ending the way she did and I can't say how she left the ending because then it would be a spoiler. Besides you as the reader need to read Dark Thief.
I love Evan and I am in an "Evan trance" and Mia is too. They are perfect for each other. They do have some problems but, who doesn't. Of course their problems stem from Evan and his "brain tumor" and his personality changes. And, no I can't say more! Again you need to read this book! The cliffhanger is delicious TORTURE!
This is the second book in the trilogy and carries on Mia and Evan’s story started in Dark Kiss. If possible, the drama is amped up even higher as Mia is whisked away from the hospital in the dead of night. Through the murky fog of sedatives Mia is unsure what is happening as the violence and horror of her past seem to be happening all over again. The author is relentless in keeping the reader’s interest as love deepens between the two main characters amidst the chaos surrounding them. The mystery that shrouds Evan’s past haunts him and intertwines into the present as his medical condition worsens and makes him strike out at everyone around him. The cruelty that surfaces in Evan is hard to reconcile when you see the lengths he goes to prove his love for Mia over and over again. The love scenes between the two are scorching but also tender and loving. There are so many twists and turns in this story that it’s hard to describe without giving away what you will want to find out yourself.
Minor grammatical errors are a bit distracting amidst the very intense scenes but the story is unique and has totally captured me. The jaw-dropping cliffhanger still has me shaking my head as I go looking for the finale – it can’t come quickly enough!

I was provided with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. After finishing books 1 and 2, I can honestly say that I love this series and I cannot wait for another installment.
Mia opened up to Evan in ways that she thought would never be possible. She overcame her fears of physical intimacy, and allowed herself to become vulnerable by opening her heart to him, but she ran, when she felt frightened, and now she is dying from self neglect and heartbreak.
Evan is determined to get Mia back, even though she ran from him and cut off all contact with him. He stalks her like a thief in the night. Respecting her need for space, but taking things into his own hands when Mia allows herself to become so physically at risk that she winds up hospitalized. Will he do the unthinkable?
This series is sexy and addictive. Evan and Mia are tortured souls that together are able to become whole again in each other. This is a highly recommended series and I cannot wait for the next installment. Very Highly Recommended!

I haven't read the first book in the series Dark Kiss. I never felt lost by this but I felt like at times I was missing things. I would recommend reading Dark Kiss first because Dark Thief isn't a stand alone book. It is meant to be read in order.
Dark Thief grabbed my attention from the very beginning and never let go. It had romance, mystery, twists and turns everything you would want in a great book. Amy Garcia has a great way of telling the story that you can understand why Mia would stay with Evan knowing he had a evil side and a good side. You can see past the bad events that's happened and focus on their magical connection. I look forward to reading future books written by Amy Garcia.

Wowza! Right well let me just take a few breaths here....Ok i'm back...I literally finished this in a night, i couldn't even stop to sleep!
'Dark thief' picks up right from where 'Dark Kiss' ended with Mia and Evan facing the repercussions of their individual revelations. The contrast between Evan's health issues and the heartbreaking moment when Mia reveals all about her past will have your heart in tatters.
This book positively blew me away! the chemistry and subjective turmoil that the characters face is one hell of a tempestuous journey! I honestly don't want to give too much away because in my opinion it would ruin the story for you, so let me just say....read it! You neeeeed to read this series and i cannot wait for the concluding part in this series!

Part 2 to Mia and Evan's story. While I find it difficult to explain why, I love this. I love the characters and I love the way the author's writing weaves... sucks... me in.
What prevents me from giving this 5 stars is spelling mistakes (as in the wrong word used; eg: women instead of woman), missing punctuation and poor layout.
As much as those annoyed me, it didn't stop me from enjoying the story. All this book needs is a good editor/proof reader and it would be perfect. For me at least.
My recommendation: if you can overlook the errors then read this after having read Dark Kiss, Mia and Evan's story part 1.

I am totally in awe. Never have I read a book so detailed and so heart twisting. I love Evan and Mia. Two characters that are so drawn together. I'm pulling for them in this series. Great writing, story line, and such a dramatic ending. I cannot wait to read more. This Author will be a must read for here on out!!!
