A story for the ages, the fate of Princess Diana and the events leading up to her tragic death and its impact will be debated by scholars and gossips centuries from now. Dianarama will be a key part in the first draft of history.
It is an interesting read and the author clearly is well researched in the topic of Princess Diana and the infamous Panorama interview from 1995, he explains his side of events in trying to obtain the documents from the Freedom of Information Act and has some good insight from other key individuals in particular Charles Spencer.
I did find at times the writing style was repetitive, and I could have easily skipped a couple of chapters if I wanted to. Would I recommend it to others? Only if you are really interested in the Panorama scandal and BBC cover up. Would I reread the book? Most likely not.
Wow, that was a LOT of words! The author certainly did a lot of digging, and he isn't afraid to make sure you know that. If you prefer reading about tedious legal procedures much more than you prefer reading about Princess Diana, then this is the book for you. I mean, it was already plainly obvious that Martin Bashir was a major creep who lied and manipulated and did nasty and cruel things to get his way. However, Diana agreed to the interview; in fact, she planned the whole thing out WITH him. She is not completely innocent, she spoke out of her own accord. She was a very interesting person but, I'm sorry to say, bit of a dingbat.
