“She’s just a chick. I’m Dixon F***ing Beaumont. I don’t fall in love. I f***. End. Of. Story.”
I went into this book wanting Dixon Beaumont. I wanted this story but now as I finished the book I am sitting here saying well where was “his” story. I am a huge fan of Danielle’s Savannah Series and if there was a story I wanted this was the one. Brooklyn and Dixon. They were set up for the perfect story but unfortunately for me this fell flat. I don’t know the whole time I was reading this I kept thinking I already read this and that’s the problem I did already read it. I found myself skimming because I knew the story, it basically to me was just rehashing of Savannah and Kayden's story just with alittle more Brooklyn and Dixon. It was too much of what I already knew, there wasn’t enough new in the story. My other problem with this is just when I thought we were getting somewhere the book abruptly ended. Seriously right when I was thinking okay we are going somewhere it was over. I will absolutely continue to read this series because like I said I WANTED THIS STORY!! I could go for alittle more Jax too!! I want Dixon’s POV, I want in that man’s head!!
Even though that sounds super hot, Dixon would probably go all alpha male on Jax and turn it into a dick measuring contest, leaving me lying on the bed having to pleasure myself while they fought over who f***ed me better."
See I need to be with just those boys no Kayden. I mean I love me some Kayden but I am ready for someone new. So, yes, for me this was a miss but not enough to make me walk away from the series. I mean it's Dixon and Brooklyn.

While the Savannah series will always be my first love, book 2 in the Brooklyn series, Heart of Dixon, gives its 'sister' some serious competition. Being a Southern gal, this book is as addicting as sweet tea, whiskey, country music, and southern gentlemen with their awesome accents! Oh, hot-as-hell Dixon, can I have both you and your equally panty-melting cousin, Kayden?!? Danielle Jamie wows the world again with another wonderfully wicked, witty, and delight of a story! I can't wait to hear how Brooklyn and Dixon's story ends in the final book.
Danielle Jamie's writing is full of some of my favorite 'h' words: hot, heady, humorous, and hypnotizing with a splash of hate-filled angst. With nearly every Danielle book, I must include these tips before I dish about my 'Dixie Stick' or oh-so-fine Dixon.
You'll want to devour this delicious book in one sitting...which I nearly did. Your emotions will be thrown in a blender and mixed around like an icy margarita on the beach and I'm going to go with my 'h' words again because...why the hell not: happy, hate, horny, heavy-hearted, and hysterical.
Here are some tips for a date with one of Danielle's books:
1) Have a pair of spare panties on hand, because her books will melt yours right off! With Dixon and his just-as-sexy cousin, Kayden, you'll need two starter panty sets.
2) Scratch # 1, and make that four spare sets of panties as her writing is not only super hot-that-makes-you-horny but also pee-your-pants funny.
3) Grab your tissues and maybe a punching bag for an emotional roller coaster ride, as your book world will be rocked and rocked again!

OMG this was an emotional roller-coaster ride for me! Danielle Jamie does a fantastic job of making us fall in love with her characters, Brooklyn is definitely my favorite female character. I can't say enough how much I absolutely love Brooklyn. She is crazy fun loving best friend that we all want to have in our lives. Don't even get me started on Dixon. One minute I love the DixieStick and the next I want to choke him.
It broke my heart to watch Brooklyn dealing with the tragedy that happened to her best friend, Savannah. You never expect two people you thought you could trust turn out to be people that can take the most from you in the blink of an eye. Brooklyn struggles with the fact that her best friend might not live and only wants one person to comfort her. When she looks to Dixon for support he leaves and has her heart breaking even more.
Dixon is a playboy who is looking for nothing, but a good time. When he meets his cousin ,Kayden, girlfriend's best friend his life gets turned upside down. He is struggling with wanting to go on with his playboy ways and the feelings he's starting to have for Brooklyn.
Dixon hates that Brooklyn turns to Jax for comfort and support she needs. Brooklyn is furious when Dixon flaunts his new conquests infront of her. Will these two people who never wanted love and just looking for a good time give into their feelings for one another? Danielle Jamie I need book 3.

Soo... I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of this book before release!!!
And I'm in love, with Danielles writing, her characters, her story lines... Just everything!!!
This book picks up from where wasted love ended, and for those that have read the savannah series you'll know what the heartache is that plagues the start of this book don't want to give much away for those who havnt read......
But I felt every pull and emotion during this part of the book. I can't imagine what it would actually be like in that situation but Danielle gives you a bloody good insight.
Brooklyn remains, for me, my no1 girl lead. I love her wit and strength and behaviour. She's hilarious. I would want a best friend like her!!
Dixon Beaumont.... Seriously where do I start. I love this guy, I hate him then I love him again. I want to string him up, bust his balls and in Brooklyns words "feed him to the sharks"
Although i can just about forgive his absolute Douchebag behaviour when reading in his pov about his feelings which again Danielle writes to a t!!! Silly gorgeous sexy man... Ugh!!
I laughed at this book, I cried, I nearly threw my Ipad across the room a few times, I definitely screamed at it a fair few times too!!
And I've also moaned at Danielle coz I'm desperate for book 3!!! Available for Pre-Order NOW and I urge people to go one click asap!

After I finished Wasted Love I wanted more Dixon. Let me correct that. I needed more Dixon. Let’s face it, that cocky, sexy, stubborn stupid man is addicting to say the least. Just proves that women like the bad boy they hope they can change. I don’t think I have ever been to attracted to a character I wanted to nut check one moment and then the next I wanted to enjoy that Dixie Stick myself. I swear that man drives me insane, yet I love him. See the struggle? LOL!
Dixon and Brooklyn continue this round and round carousel ride. Dixon is being his stubborn self more times than not. He has this undeniable, unbreakable, completely overpowering connection to Brooklyn and vice versa but he is fighting so hard against it. See the infuriating part right there. There were so many times I literally shouted at my Kindle, “You love her you idiot get your head out your butt and open your eyes!” I admit I cleaned that up a bit expletives were flying out of my mouth left and right.
Danielle Jamie again writes an amazing story. One that will break your hearts in places, scare you in another and then leave your panties a sopping mess in the next. She will coax every emotion out of you leaving you breathless and wanting more. I have a feeling this roller coaster ride is only going to get better in the next book.

LOVED this book! I want more stars for the Dixie Stick AKA Dixon Beaumont!
I first met Brooklyn Bennett as the BFF in The Savannah series and she was immediatly my favorite character. So excited she got her own books!
I was honestly surprised how emotional this book got. My heart just broke for my fun-loving girl at times. She is torn between 2 hotties. Does she chance it and go with her heart for Dixon or play it safe and go for Jax?
I am in the minority I am sure but I have always been Team Dixon! Oh, he is an As#hole without a doubt. I am always torn kiss him, smack him or choke him? Definitely wanted to choke him A LOT in this one. He is the PERFECT example of a dumbas# man!!! But I love him and all his many stupid faults
I just love Danielle's writing style! Her back and forth POV let's you get inside both of their heads. You get to see and feel both sides which makes the story so real for me.
I can't wait for the rest of their story!!!!

After reading the Savannah Series and Wasted Love, I thought I knew everything there was to know about the relationship between Brooklyn and Dixon. Then Danielle releases this gem! HOD (Heart of Dixon) takes us back to some of the more heartbreaking times between them and shows us how things really went down. At times i felt bad for Brooklyn, she is a strong female lead don't get me wrong but with Dixon being such a douche you can't help but take her side. Until he does something so sexy and kind of sweet that you start to see the good in him.
He sees where he has screwed things up with Brooklyn but he kind of gets happy about it because he's Dixon freaking Beaumont, he doesn't do love or relationships, so pushing Brooklyn away is good, at least until he falls for her.
This book is so freaking good. I will be reading it over and over until Betting on Beaumont comes out.... so Danielle you need to get to writing. I NEED more DixieStick!!!!

I don't know where to even start with this review! I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book! Heart Of Dixon gets 5+ stars from me!! Danielle always has a way with her writing to keep it fresh and pull you in and make you love her character's! Her continuation of Wasted Love to this book was off the charts! Brooklyn is one of my favorite female leads! And Dixon don't even get me started on him! One minute I love him the next I wanna strangle him! Danielle has written perfection as always! I cannot wait until book 3 of this series! This series is one you don't wanna miss out on!

Could not put it down!!! I loved the Savannah series, but was not a true fan of Dixon until this book. It's nice to see what is going on his head. You can feel the struggle that Brooklyn and Dixon are having about their true feelings for each other. The chemistry between them is sooo hot! We also get to see all those other hot men that we love make appearances and satisfy everyone's favorite bbf!!!

This book starts up with everyone sitting vigil at the hospital for Savannah. This book was full of emotion with lots of ups and downs. Everyone was surviving on adrenaline and coffee. This is book 2 of Brooklyn’s POV but along with Brooklyn you get Dixon hence the ups and downs!!! I had to force myself to put this book down. Like I said it is a POV so we have already heard “most” of the story but with the original Savannah series this is from Brooklyn & Dixon’s POV you get to hear their thinking about the story around them. The parts of the story the POV bring out are critical because Brooklyn suffered through them also. The chemistry is off the charts for Brooklyn and Dixon then you add into the mix that sexy Aussie Jax. This is all new territory for both of them and you can really feel the struggle they went through because neither of them expected this, neither of them thought they wanted this and stubborn…WOW I think if you look up the word in the dictionary you will see both their pictures! When Zak attacked Brooklyn in LA and she called Dixon and he was so detached telling her glad she was ok telling her now she doesn’t have to worry about him anymore then he goes and asks if she wanted him to come there….of course she did that is why she called, you not Jax, you shouldn’t have ask… I wanted to reach through my kindle and kick his gorgeous ass. Watching Brooklyn try and figure out how to tell Jax that she made a mistake and she just wants to be friends because she doesn’t want to hurt him because he is a great guy and she does love him but not in the heart stopping taking your breath away type of love. Dixon trying to be patient waiting for her to tell Jax so they can move on is trying on his patient. Then she ends it the way she does….UGH I need book 3 NOW!!! I highly recommend this series but before you read Brooklyn you need to read the Savannah series it is awesome!

I was so excited to get my hands on ‘Heart of Dixon’ after falling in love with both Brooklyn and Dixon in Danielle Jamie’s ‘Savannah Series’. But I was kinda disappointed in it. I felt as if I didn’t get the story the title gives off.
I enjoyed this book I really did, but because I have read the ‘Savannah Series’ I already knew a lot of what was happening and what’s to come. I felt as though it was basically a re-cap of what happened in the ‘Savannah Series’ but with a bit more Brooklyn and Dixon. I would’ve loved a bit more of a separate story than what was given to us.
That being said I did love getting to see a completely different side to the feisty Brooklyn we have come to know and love. ‘Heart of Dixon’ takes us back to the more heartbreaking and emotional times between Dixon and Brooklyn. We get to see the inner turmoil and battles between head, heart and body that was constantly going on for the both of them. That is what I loved most about this book; it wasn’t the back story but the emotions and battles.
Dixon is gorgeous as ever, even if he does make some very dickish moves throughout the book. I found myself shaking my head a lot and shouting “For Christ sake Dixon, what the hell did you do that for? But it’s simple. Everything he does is a way of pushing her way. He wants “her to hate me...to feel her stomach twist in knots and have disgust consume her...Why?...Beacuase she’s made me fall in love with her.”
And although this book didn’t wow me as much as I was expecting it to, I will keep with it in the hopes that the next one will be more ‘Story’ and less re-capping. I love Danielle Jamie and I love Dixon and Brooklyn. I just want them.
I do encourage you to check this series out as well as the ‘Savannah Series’.
I was so excited to get my hands on ‘Heart of Dixon’ after falling in love with both Brooklyn and Dixon in Danielle Jamie’s ‘Savannah Series’. But I was kinda disappointed in it. I felt as if I didn’t get the story the title gives off.
I enjoyed this book I really did, but because I have read the ‘Savannah Series’ I already knew a lot of what was happening and what’s to come. I felt as though it was basically a re-cap of what happened in the ‘Savannah Series’ but with a bit more Brooklyn and Dixon. I would’ve loved a bit more of a separate story than what was given to us.
That being said I did love getting to see a completely different side to the feisty Brooklyn we have come to know and love. ‘Heart of Dixon’ takes us back to the more heartbreaking and emotional times between Dixon and Brooklyn. We get to see the inner turmoil and battles between head, heart and body that was constantly going on for the both of them. That is what I loved most about this book; it wasn’t the back story but the emotions and battles.
Dixon is gorgeous as ever, even if he does make some very dickish moves throughout the book. I found myself shaking my head a lot and shouting “For Christ sake Dixon, what the hell did you do that for? But it’s simple. Everything he does is a way of pushing her way. He wants “her to hate me...to feel her stomach twist in knots and have disgust consume her...Why?...Beacuase she’s made me fall in love with her.”
And although this book didn’t wow me as much as I was expecting it to, I will keep with it in the hopes that the next one will be more ‘Story’ and less re-capping. I love Danielle Jamie and I love Dixon and Brooklyn. I just want them.
I do encourage you to check this series out as well as the ‘Savannah Series’.

If it was possible to give this book more stars I WOULD.
First let me start with saying thank you to Danielle for giving me the opportunity of reading this book before release. You smashed it and left me speechless…ask anyone who knows me and you will find out this is a rare thing :).
I would like to be the first to say Congratulation as this book is going to be a massive hit and you deserve all the great things heading your way.
This was a hot read and left me screaming at them and wanting to wring both their necks. These characters have sparked a fire and left me wanting more, it was easy to connect with them and feel them, the writing was superb and left me with all sorts of emotions that it took me some time to get my thoughts together to be able to write this review.
This book continues the story of Brooklyn and Dixon, as we all know where the story leads since we have all read about them in the Savannah series.
The player ends up getting played….Brooklyn and Dixon are both strong willed and thought they knew what they wanted in the future but after that steamy encounter they are both questioning their decisions and battling against their feelings. How will Brooklyn decide between 3 very different men and how will Dixon feel once she makes her choice?
Can’t wait for the next instalment and I will definitely be stalking you to find out when that will be :)

Let's just start off by saying these three books in The Brooklyn Series by Danielle Jamie is amazing! Danielle makes sure you get hooked instantly in the first book, Wasted Love, and only continues to put you at the edge of your seat through book two, Heart of Dixon, and three, Betting on Beaumont.
Heart of Dixon starts out with the broken heart of Brooklyn, caused by none other than Dixon Beaumont. Brooklyn couldn't help but grow feelings towards Dixon during their sexual relationship. Especially when her best friend, Savannah, was fighting for her life. All until Dixon just vanished and decided to act exactly like he always does, a complete manwhore. Brooklyn knew what she was getting into when she started things with Dixon, she just wasn't prepared for these feelings for him. So the one man who was always by her side and there for her became even closer. Jax, the man Brooklyn decided to have a friends with benefits relationship before Dixon was there to help med her broken heart. And even though he wasn't Dixon, Brooklyn decided to take advantage of he closeness she felt for Jax. Only Dixon could handle the thought was Brooklyn being with Jax and decided it was time to fight for Brooklyn. But Brooklyn didn't know if she could go through the hurt again, let alone hurt Jax at all.

Dixon and Brooklyn have just flown back from LA as Savannah is in the hospital after her attack. Dixon is freaked out because not only did he fly to see Brooklyn, but she melted into him looking for comfort. In a effort to push her away, he turns to his man whore ways. They fight the pull to each other as problem after problem rears its ugly head. Not only do they have to watch out for crazy Zak who is trying to get even, but they have other crazies to contend with to...

I have only read a little taster into Danielle Jamie's writing when I read Forbidden and I have loved what I have seen so far! I was given this book as an ARC to write a review.
Heart of Dixon starts off where Wasted Love ends. As soon as I started this book I HATED Dixon! I thought what a douchebag! He is going against everything his heart is telling him and just sabotaging his feelings! You cant help but love him though!
Brookyln is just as bad but she trys to get her head around what she is feeling for Dixon while dealing with the worries of Savannah.
They are constantly to-ing and fro-ing and you just wish they would get it on! This story is so much than a sex filled romance book, there is a great story to it that makes it such a must read. You have love, anger and suspense all rolled into one!
I feel I cant write too much about the book without creating major spoilers so I'm going to keep it simple!
Danielle Jamie is an absolute fantastic writer who is able to make the chemistry between the characters off the charts! This is book is a complete page turner and you just cannot put it down. I recommend this series to anyone and you will not be disappointed!

Every since I read the Savannah series, Ive been hooked on Danielle Jamies books!
As soon as I finished Wasted Love I was desperate to read Heart of Dixon!
and I was definitely NOT disappointed!
I loved this book it was Amazing! Brooklyn is hilarious and she keeps Dixon definitely on his toes. Hes in total denial of his feelings running hot and cold, total arrogant, rich, hot, sexy asshole
Hes finding his way tho. I couldn't stand him In savannah series and wasted love and I now Love him!
Brooklyn is soo fiery and feisty an absolutely brilliant character, doesn't want tied down to just one guy. someone you'd love to have as your BFF.
I cant leave out Jax and xander two Hotties! rocking brooklyns world! But Dixon is always on her mind. shes learning her feelings too shes In denial too, But again shes finding her way just as Dixon is finding his

Oh Em Gee, this is one seriously good book. The characters are one we have come to know and love through the Savannah Series but in this book we are reliving things the Brooklyn way. And the Brooklyn way is never without its drama, but that is what makes her as a character so flipping brilliant and the book so freaking amazing. This book has so many laugh out loud moments non better than Brooklyn telling Dixon's latest squeeze that he has an STD, leaving him needing a very cold shower. Dixon is a player, but for some reason I love him. He does seriously need a kick up the backside where Brooklyn is concerned but his redeeming qualities are that of loyalty, protectiveness and a great sense of humour! Danielle Jamie is truly an amazing author. She brings the characters to life in a totally unique way, a way I absolutely adore. You have certainly got a fan for life in me. Each book you write, Danielle gets better than the last. This book totally rocks and I award it 5 stars although I wish I could give it more!!! ~Rosie

Wow. This second book was hilarious and emotional. What a roller coaster but with laugh out loud moments... ha!
I enjoyed book 1 and this book was just as amazing. You will feel for all the characters. It will be up and down, up and down... You'll laugh, cry, wanna cry some more and possibly kick some people.
You will love and hate Dixon. Man he's something else. You'll like him, swoon over him and then wanna hurt him... especially on how he treats Brooklyn. But there's something there that won't allow him to get over her..... but what happens? Is he too late?
You'll enjoy Brooklyn in this book and wanna hurt her as well a few times...especially with all those awesome men she has in her life... and then the sweet Jax.. oh Jax!
And that ending... I want more... I am so eager for more of Brooklyn and Dixon. I can't wait for the rest!!

They are both using sex as a weapon and while Dixon is back to man-whoring, Brooklyn has the lovely Jax and Zander at her beck and call.
I didn’t think that Danielle Jamie would be able to top her wonderful Savannah series but she does. This book has it all, one minute your sat on the edge of your seat, the next your laughing out loud, and the sex is off the page.
As usual with Danielle’s books the storyline is excellent and her characters come to life before your eyes, sometimes I wish it was possible to award more than five stars.
I can’t wait for the final book in the series and I’m hoping that in the future some of the bit players get they’re own books...I for one can’t wait for more Zander and Jax.

Let me start by saying that Danielle doesn't just write this book as a repeat of what savannah has already said. Yes parts over lap because they have too. This is a new story in almost every way. We all know and Dixon and Brooklyn and we love them. They are amazing, we know that Brooklyn is a spitfire who says what she means and means what she says. She is juggling three different men and no longer loving every minute of it. Something has changed for her, almost losing her best friend and knowing that savannah has found the love of her life as made Brooklyn look at things differently. Dixon on the other hand believes that the he doesn't need a woman. And now he has eyes for Brooklyn but after toying with her for so long he wants her and only her. But only on his terms.
When Brooklyn decides she's had enough of his games and starts to move on this is when Dixon sees everything he could be missing........

After reading WL, I was eager to get into Heart of Dixon.
Again this book of from both POV, which I think is critical in this story to get both sides.
We learned in the Savannah Series that Brooklyn and Dixon's relationship was kinda strange, and this book takes their relationship to a whole new crazy level.
The beauty in this book is the characters they are both stubborn and crazy and I really enjoyed these aspects of their personalities.
I felt for them both in this book, they are both frightened by the alien feelings they are experiencing and the turmoil is palpable during the read.
Brooklyn made this book for me again, she just lights up the pages when, she is feisty and on fire with her crazy talking and she must have been one helluva character to write she is so much fun and a breath of fresh air in this genre.
I'm eager now to see out their story, this is a great read and a must for fans of Danielle Jamie and the Savannah Series

The feisty, fiery, sassy, takes no messing Brooklyn is back! This time though there is a vulnerability to her as she comes to terms with what happened to Savannah. There is a realisation that she needs something more from her relationships than a quick roll in the hay and move on to the next. The attraction between Dixon and Brooklyn is still scorching hot but he doesn't meet her emotional needs, which finds her leaning more on Jax as the story unfolds. Dixon is very much blowing hot and cold towards Brooklyn not wanting to become emotionally attached.
With Savannah's attacker still on the loose, there is still a clear and present to danger to the girls. The build up is slow. Danielle Jamie slowly winds the reader up to the point where you don't know when it's going to spring on you. You are sat on the edge of your seat, wondering throughout whilst enjoying the verbal sparring between the characters. Another fun read.

I was pulled right into this story. The story flowed well and I was able to stay connected and interested throughout the book.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading this book(s) first:

This is the next part of Brooklyn’s story. The attraction between Brooklyn and Dixon is off the chart but your wonder if they will ever come together. She turns to someone else and he throws his woman in front of her. Can they both stop the playing? Will they figure out the relationship they want is really within their grasp. As the feeling grow can they come together or are they going to do something to destroy any progress they have made with each other?
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was an great read.
I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story in this series.

Dixon is who you love to hate. Dixon is the guy you want to either love or strangle. He makes you want to walk that fine line of love and hate... if you haven't met Dixon yet, you are in for a treat and quite a wild ride.
I really liked this book. Dixon and Brooklyn are two people who have chemistry and that spark. Too bad they both have trouble accepting it. And Brooklyn's feelings are running stronger and stronger for Dixon. But Dixon is playing a game of cat and mouse, always running hot and cold.
This book was crazy good. It was sexy, sweet, and totally unexpected. I absolutely cannot wait for the next book. It is going to be my favorite (if you have read the Savannah series then you know what is up next!!).
I highly recommend this book.

Be prepared for all that and so much more in Heart of Dixon
As soon as I started reading it I knew I had to get the supplies, number one was a lockable room. You wont want to be disturbed while reading this. You need to read book one first Wasted Love.
Danielle Jamie is one of my favorite authors The books she writes are flawless. You know while your reading it you can see it play out in your mind like a film. Bright, Colourful and vivid.
I love the characters. I love that while your reading it doesn't feel like youv'e read it til you get to the end and your like WTF its the end.
This needs to go on your "TBR" list.

Danielle Jamie has done it once again! I loved every minute of this book. Brooklyn is the funniest and strongest woman. She's not afraid or ashamed of her sexual appetite. Dixon is the sexiest thing walking. Too bad he's a player and I want to throat punch him and then drag him to bed and have my wicked way! They both are fighting their feelings for one another trying to decide who is the player and whose being played.. This book will keep you entertained and keep the laughs coming. I couldn't put it down and the it had some of the sexiest scenes I've ever read..Get ready ladies you can't get enough of the hottie Dixon and the sexy Aussie Jax..oh and did I mention you get more of the sexiest book boyfriend ever The Kayden Knox!!!
