Nako did something with this. It wasn’t conventional at all that’s what threw me for a loop and sucked me in honestly. This book is about finding yourself again, facing your demons, finding love in yourself and knowing your purpose and worth. It’s also about finding love in these unconventional times. Carmen and Miranda kept me on my toes with all the back and forth and for sure took me on a ride. Some things happened that I didn’t like with how much miscommunication and time they wasted but I appreciate it because it’s human not everything is perfect or will be. The ending and leading up to it alone had me so happy for them and the renewal of life. Their chemistry was so organic and off the charts but toxic in ways too lol. But the love they had for each other were some soul ties just kept finding their hearts back to each other. I would love an alternative universe short version on if they had jumped the gun and didn’t make all those things stop them from happening sooner but things are meant to be the way it’s meant to be and I wouldn’t change it because that’s their story.
Take a read please you won’t regret it and very much will be invested to the end !❤️
This book was so good! I think Miranda is every woman!!! We all have a little piece of her in us. I loved her relationship with Carmen! I love how even when they weren’t near each other the love never died. They complement each other so well, I’d love to see another book from them with the kids in it. Great job Nako
What started out as a yearly hook up turned into a beautiful HEA! Carmen really loved Miranda for a long time and she loved him too, it was just about timing. They went through a lot to get to their happy place but they got there! John the ex was bitter and entitled but in the end I'm sure he's still not happy or whole! Courtney was delusional to think a one time hook up would produce a relationship, all she got was her son, not his dad. I'm a firm believer that what's meant to be will be and it was evident in this novel. Time and distance did not diminish the love these two had for one another. Another thing Miranda was finally healed and came out of all that happened a much happier grounded woman, that chance meeting on the flight to Cebu really reignited their live story! As usual Nako has written a beautiful thought provoking read, so emotional and as usual with a spiritual invocation that was so lovely. I loved it!!!
Listen!!! This book was everything and more. I went in thinking Is She the Reason was my favorite Nako book—but Miranda and Carmen? Top tier. Their story took me on a journey of love, faith, healing, and most importantly, self-love.
Nako gave us so much more than a romance. She gave us depth, realness, and a reminder that loving someone else starts with loving yourself first. Miranda’s growth was beautiful to watch, and Carmen? The way he loved her was soft, intentional, and powerful.
This wasn’t just a love story. It was a spiritual experience—a testimony of grace and second chances. I laughed, I teared up, I highlighted half the book. Definitely a new favorite!
It could be nothing less than a 5-star read... everything Nako puts her pen to produces success! Miranda McKenzie is yet another name to add to the greats of Nako's/K. Yvette's world!
She gave us Yara, Nina, Loren, Kenya, Dr. Mighty-Moore, Dr. Freedom, and so many more that has helped us to find 'Self'! Nako has a way of penning devotional writing that some would describe as her altar on the pages, cuz baby Sis is gonna give ya Word! Just like many before Miranda, we leave the pages but the pages never leave us! There is a message to be had! Well done Nako! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💐💚💛💜
She did it once again!!! This book is a gem and a journey.
Its a journey. It’s the rise and fall. It’s the glory. When you do it without HIM it’s good but when GOD is all in it- ITS GLORIOUS
I can’t give the story away. I’m just going to say- to every girly who has struggled, is struggling or doesn’t think she will- check this book out. It’s about pulling yourself thru and being loved even when you are “Independent”. It’s about the journey down and UP. It is love and light.
Another emotion jerking, soul searching beautiful love story! I remember starting from the beginning when I stumbled across a new author Nako way back when…i was curious about the connects wife! It’s been a blessing to see the growth and depth in her books, don’t get me wrong! She has ALWAYS been a beast with the pen from day one! And every book tops the last! I’ll be a fan forever! I love it here!
I have read at least 90% of your catalog. I am a fan for life. Days when I am questioning my why, I am reminded that my day is coming. I am always in for a good journey when I read one of yoyr books . However, I am also always guaranteed a reminder of remaining faithful. Always also gain a better Understanding of how anxiety and comparison can steal my joy. As always I enjoy going on these literary journey through your words. Stay blessed.
You went and did it again!! You have such a gift and I’m so glad you share it with us! I love how all of your characters are human with faults. Miranda and Carmen both tap danced on my last nerve but they got it together at the end. I love how imperfect they both were but the love and chemistry was always there.
Miranda and Carm: a healthy spend the block love story
Their chemistry was undeniable but their timing was off. They both need to go through a few chapter in their life to be able to come back together and understand how to love each other in a healthier way. This was my first Nako book and I'm hooked!!!!
Carmen understood both of their limitations and Miranda stayed lost for a minute until she was forced to shed some light on her situation. I don’t think they ever said what happened to her parents. That was an interesting approach. This was a great read.
This book makes me feel like it’s about Nako, I don’t know her personally however, I’ve been following her transformation since the Connects Wife series. I have seen her growth as a writer and person. I wish her much continued success !
This book was amazing and felt like getting to the back story of a friend who shows back up unexpectedly. I loved the anxiety portrayal and even though she made me mad, I still loved MM.
I’m always waiting for Nako’s words with bated breath and she does not miss! Miranda is an illustration for all of us just trying to piece together our lives through the ups and the downs and this story is amazing! Thank you Nako!
One of those books you never want to end… I love everything about Miranda. This is what resilience looks like! Thank you Nako for ALWAYS using your gift for the greater good! There’s always a lesson to be learned and we love you for it!
I enjoyed this novel. Miranda is complicated. She self-sabotaged many times. It’s refreshing to read about a character that is flawed and put in the work to course correct.
This was another great read for Nako!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! Love the characters and how they were able to do find their way back to one another for a HEA!
Miranda and Carmen met in the early 2000s, but there were mentions of things that weren’t even around at the time. Uber, Siri, Alexa, Cash App, good story line but very frustrating characters.
As always you delivered. . Great story. I'm in love with them. Great couple. Thank you very much for your awesome story telling. God has truly blessed you.
This book is definitely a 10 out of 10 per usual. And it’s for sure going to take you on an emotional roller coaster but it’s worth it, oh so worth it!!
