Len Colby’s anecdotes provide an authentic window into a certain milieu centered around that notorious king of the underground, GG Allin. Reading Len’s account feels like really being there on tour with the rocknroll messiah himself. It presents GG as a clear case of split personality disorder, and offers a window into the side of GG that most people didn’t see: that he was mostly a relatively normal guy who liked to hang out and drink beer with his friends, although he could snap into a psychotic rage if provoked. Essential reading for fans.
