This man of mystery that is Drakken... what was done to him that he bears the scars on his back? I am so hooked in this story!
Part Two continues with the story of River, or Rivka like Drakken calls her, as she is still trying to survive doing her masseuse job at the Beverly Hill Resort Hotel. Luciana is on her case about that last massage River gave Drakken and was found without shoes. There will be no sex with a massage client... that is against hotel policy and River subject to immediate dismissal.
Drakken is a mystery to River, as well as an obsession. She just thinks about him all the time. Cage is still pursuing her and the idiot does not get it that she does not want anything tod o with him. Watch for the scene with the truckload of roses...
Devon Hartford continues to draw me in to this story. The obstacles and emotions are palpable on these pages. There are moments of absolute delight and laughter as well heart wrenching moments of such pain and distress you will be begging for Part Three to be published ASAP!

Just had to finish this 2nd episode. River & Drakken have engaged my interest to the point that its 3am & I really want to keep reading... However sense will prevail & I'll wait till daylight to contimue!

I was literally dying for this book when book one Part one ended. I taught the wait would kill me....... WELL after reading book two I was wrong. The wait for Part 3 would've really done me in! OMG Seriously Devon!? You just had to go and end it like that!? I mean it was AMAZING, but my jaw is still sore from lying on the floor so long!
Drakken Skalakova, is a sexy Russian business man after River Freeman as we seen in part one. That has not changed one bit. He wants her BAD! 'Rivka' wants him just as much. But its her job at risk here. Its bad enough that they done 'Stuff' in the first one in her place of work. Let alone mount each other right there on her massage table like Drakken would like.
And can I just say this book has had me LOL more times then I can count. The way Devon has Drakken speaking when he is trying to get the English accent down is to funny!!! The things he says instead of what he means are comedy gold!!! BUT back to the serious stuff.....
There kinda all over the place in this book. Him dealing with some pretty heavy stuff we only catch a glimpse of. And her fighting the battle of what is right and wrong were Drakken is concerned.
Then there is the bit near the end. The part that sets up the whole ending for this part. HO-LY HELL, your just gonna be all ....................., cause you will not know what to say! But you will wanna reach in this book and Hug Drakken so hard! Then chase Devon down for leaving it like that.
Roll on Part 3! I need my 'Rivka' and Drakken fix already!

Was gifted the second book from fab author Devon Hartford.... you really must ladies !
After River and Drakken's very hot and steamy encounter during the massage and Drakken's very romantic gesture after (let's face it.... I would !) ... it appears River is not able to "massage" poor Drakken again - jealously is a terrible trait....
Not seeing him for a while, River camps out in the lobby to "bump" into him and thank him personally.
Dark and dangerous Drakken personally requests a massage from her in his suite. Getting a few personal issues off her chest, things start to hot up but unfortunately it doesn't stay that way for long....
Not sure if I can give you anymore ladies - you really must read yourself. There is so much more to this handsome foreign hunk. Some very dark secrets I'm sure are to be revealed soon...

Drakken and River continue to dance around their lustful attraction for each other. She's finally gotten the courage to finally give her ex the boot permanately; of course the mind blowing orgasms Drakken bestowed upon her, may have been the deciding factor! However Drakken continues to be aloof in his pursuit of her; this dark secret plagues him to the depth of his soul and threatens to take over his very being. He wants so very much to come into the light; where his Rivka makes him want to be; just a simple gesture of a touch causes peace and solitude he craves! Can these two fight the passion? Will Drakken allow River ( Rivka ) to be his calm? How will Drakken deal with "him" everytime "he" calls? The biggest question is; just what dark secret is Drakken keeping? As usual, Devon did an amazing job!! Read this little piece of story is exquisite! We're right in the middle of one of the best novels that Devon has written, and I can assure you that what's coming...wow! It's going to come even better! When you start it, it's almost impossible to stop it...2 weeks for the next part would be the longest weeks of your life! Congrats, D!!

Drakken is having problems with the communication towards River he is trying to show her he likes her but things keep gettng in his way,
After River has been forced not to massage Drakken by the spa manager River decide to camp out in reception to thank him personally but yet another problem arrises when he is not alone.
Drakken calls down to the spa and requests a massage in his room which is not strange but when she gets there she now she needs to conquer the language barrier and ask drakken what is going on but she is not faced with Drakken alone but he soon explains the whole situation and things start to steam up for the couple but it doesnt last long
love this series devon we need more

This was way too short. Or perhaps that good that it read so fluendly.
I had so many frustrations with Drakken. Man... You speak poetry in your mind but you can't say them in English. I felt the helplessness for not finding the right words. And the understandable but mysterious shut down. I need more and right now please. There's a cliffhanger that gives too many questions and feelings.
This 2nd part is a tad less funny, but still...I had moments of loud out laughter. I loved it that we got a deeper look into Drakken's character, River's life outside her Job. Yes, like it very much

I like this second part of the book. **NO SPOILERS** After a hot and steamy massage session things go from there! There is a whole array of situations and confusion between Drakken and River! even the green eye monster appears! communication is the key! its difficult when you dont know how you stand with someone; is it a fling? is it much more!! read it and find out! there is some humour that made me laugh! you do get to see more from the males POV which was nice. I enjoyed this book. I gave it 4.5 stars as book 1 is my fav so far! HURRY UP WITH PART 3!!

The continuation of the story of River and Drakken pulls you in from the beginning and has you turning the pages so quickly that once you are finished you wonder what you missed in your real life! The chemistry between these two characters is so sizzling, but the torment and the pain that they are both dealing with is heartbreaking, add to that the pressure River is getting at work from her domineering/jealous? boss and the mysterious phone calls Drakken is getting and you get a very intriguing story. And of course, like all of Devon's stories, you wonder just what is going to happen next?!

ONE YEAR LOVE
I really enjoy reading Devon Hartford books. This one pulls at me and sucks me in and it's due to this big mystery surrounding one of the main characters.
It'll be hard to wait for part 3, that's how much I enjoyed reading it. Just what kind of hold HE has, what's so terrible in the past that can basically "paralyze" person.
Well... everyone who reads it has some ideas. Can't wait to see if any of those ideas turn to be the right ones.
All I can say is BUY I, READ IT, AND WAIT TO SEE WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT.

So I've wrote my review twice now and lost it twice so I'm just done. Go buy this book. Devin is a great writer and I think you'll enjoy this series and his others.
When I finished this part, I immediately wanted part 3. I'm not a patient person and I hate waiting to finish a series. Lol.
Also, I still love the names of the main characters, River and Drakken. And I still haven't figured Drakken out, which is probably why I'm so anxious for Part 3. :)

After reading One Year Love, I couldn't wait for part two. I was not disappointed, River is falling for Drakken but she has seen some things that make her question whether Drakken is single or not? River had her heart broken once already by her boyfriend Cage, she's not interested in getting it broke again. Drakken has a secret that he's not able to share yet, not sure if he will ever be ready. I get so caught up in reading that I get behind on my reviews, so please forgive me.

I've always loved Devon's style of writing and he does not disappoint with this one.
I couldn't wait for more River and Drakken and absolutely loved catching up with them here in part two and it's left me gasping for more.
I cannot wait for part three to see where they end up and to see what if anything will happen between Julietta and Stone.

I love Drakken but what dark secret is he keeping? Will it tear River and him apart or will River be able to help bury his past and move on? Who is the mystery man that Drakken can not run from and what part does he play in Drakken's future? These are the questions that will hopefully come to light in part 3.

Ooh!! Drakken more and more intriguing. The mystery is taken to new heights in book two as to why Drakken behaves strangely with intimacy.
River becomes emotionally entangled but is yet to understand Drakken's psychosis.
Drakken's search for words in English within his dialogue with River is hilarious at times.
Really enjoyed reading book two.

OMG This book just gets Hotter & Hotter. Couldn't stop reading it. There's more of River & Drakken HOT & Steamy. A bit more mystery about the broody Drakken which has u begging Devon to write faster. Devon Hartford you have truly outdone yourself again, yours series just get better & better.

The way Devon ended this part of the book had me screaming into my pillow so I didn't wake up my family. Can't wait for the third book.

A great part 2. I think the only thing we know for sure now is that some serious trouble is brewing but will it be Drakken or River that suffer the consequences! I can't help an impounding sense of doom at the end of this book, especially given the title!

Devon does it again with another 5 star read! River and Drakken's chemistry is hot! This is a great story! As always Devon has me laughing! The sex scenes are scorching. The pages turned themselves, I couldn't put this book down. I am off to read Book 3!

Wow! I so loved part two of One Love!! You get a peek of Drakken and he is just a mushy little love bear at times. I loved reading the progression of this love story. I think I fell a little in love with this book.
