Summary
Book two of Explicitly Yours, picks off with Lola and her boyfriend, Johnny dealing with the aftermath of her night with Beau. Lola and Beau agreed to one night only for a million dollars but at sunrise, they were left with wanting more. Even though Lola is confused about her current feelings towards Johnny, and with their plans about buying the bar, her mind is still surrounded by Beau. So, Beau makes them another offer: One more night, and another million dollars. Lola already did one night, so how much damage could one more night do? Apparently, more than she would ever think possible.

Another great book by Jessica! I enjoyed this more than the first one and I just could not stop turning the pages. It was just so addicting.
↳Plot. The plot, as before, flowed really nicely. I think Jessica does an amazing job at captivating the audience and keeps them wanting more. I literally could not put this book down, it was just that good. However, the books are so short! I mean the first and second book could have just been book one by itself lol. Nevertheless, it was so exciting to read about Lola and Beau's second night. AND THAT PLOT TWIST AT THE END. MY JAW WAS LEFT HANGING. Jessica did good, I WAS NOT expecting that at all.
↳Characters. In the first book, I felt pretty indifferent to both Lola and Beau even though I did enjoy them. However, I found myself liking them a lot more in this book. I love Lola so much. She is so fierce and sassy; I cannot get enough of her. I cannot wait to see her bad ass persona in the third book, I know its coming! In most billionaire books, the billionaire is usually the same. However, I was so surprised by Beau's personality. Reading his struggle while growing up and learning about the person he has now become; I literally fell in love with him. In all, he was actually a sweet and determined guy behind his alpha persona. Equally, I am really loving the heroine and hero.
↳Romance. There was definitely a lot more romance in this book. In this book I feel like it was more focused on their connection and the conversations they had together, unlike the first book. I really enjoyed the way they talk to each other and the way they connected through their past; it was really sweet. There was still a lot of steamy scenes in the book, I just really love the way Jessica writes her smut. Its sweet and so sensual at the same time! Plus, I just love their banter and the way they can just laugh together. I think they have amazing chemistry and are perfect!
I am so excited but also so nervous to start the next book in the series!

Johnny & Lola dreams are within reach now, they have never had so much money, however as they dive into the cost of everything she finding out its not enough. All Lola needs to do is make a phone call, cause Beau has been constantly on her mind and communicating how he wants more of her. When she tells Johnny this he doesn't stop her nor talk her out of it. Lola wants this she is saying its for their future when reality Beau has touch her in ways no other has and its no longer about the money.

these two ruined me. I thought I had the story figured out. what the hell was that? what the hell? what? the? hell?
no, seriously, this book evoked so many deep emotions, or maybe it's because I didn't get much sleep last night and today. Provocation has to wait until I get my shit together.

I don’t like the story but I still want to know what happen to Lola and Beau, also Lola and Johnny. In this book, Lola admits she is falling in love with Beau but at the end of the story, something happens that makes Lola think like Beau is taking revenge on her.
So I’ll continue to read their story in the third book, Provocation.

I honestly don’t understand what on earth is happening in this series? I finished this one confused and then tried to start reading the next and became even more confused. I will be abandoning this series because it just doesn’t seem like it’s going anywhere other than in circles, the characters are tolerable at best, and the love story is beyond puzzling.

Dang, talk about an alpha! Beau is one heck of one. Hawkins wrote the second book in her fever series even steamier and more intriguing than I'd have thought. I can honestly say that with this book she has fully caught my interest and hooked me hundred percent on her story.
In Night Fever, book #1 (read my review here) we learned that Lola is in a -boring, monotonous - long-term relationship with Johnny. Their relationship gets shacked up when Beau walks through the doors of the bar where both of them work, making them an irresistible offer. As we know now they took the offer and paid the price. One night with Beau evoke an undeniable hunger in Lola; something she didn't know she was craving for - Beau. He's what she wanted all along and the their chemistry is off the charts.
With the money, Lola can make Johnny's dream come true (note: Johnny's dream not hers!) BUT one million doesn't seem so much anymore. And that's when a night call is made.... a call that will definitely change the course between Lola and Johnny, as well as between Beau and Lola.
"I'm here tonight because I want to be," Lola said. ...."I'm here because every way you touched me last time was the right way and because it meant something to me."
Well yeah, there it is...out in the open. Both gave the other parts of themselves that weren't meant to be shared. They opened up. Made themselves vulnerable. Made each other feel.
"Ironically,"he said,"for a moment just now at that table, I thought I would give it all up for you. My kingdom for my queen."
Oh yeah, Beau is good, really good with his words, hands, tongue and....well, you get the picture. Until this moment I was mush in this man's hands and ruled for him. But then, dang I didn't see it coming, Hawkins added the twist of all twists that made my eyes about to pop out of my head. More like a WTH !! I knew Beau has some secrets going on and is way deeper than meets the eye but his hidden agenda -HOLY COW! Be prepared to get shocked because it'll shock you.
Hawkins wrote an even better sequel with Night Call; her writing was stronger and her characters came more alive in this story. I was glued to my kindle to read and find out more about Beau, what makes him tick and def how Lola will decide what's best for her. I loved that this story was so much more than just steamy lustful sex, it has a back-story that I'd have never guessed. So be prepared. All I say is: A man's ego is as fragile as a woman's heart!

I enjoyed Night Fever, enjoyed the dynamic of the story, the thought of one night for a million dollars. What would you do if you could have one night? Have you ever played that game for a million dollars would you ____? Most times the answer is always yes without thinking of the consequences. In Night Call we see what those consequences are.
What happens in the morning light? What happens after you had one night? Will you be the same? Will your partner? Can things go back to what they were?
Oh this book, I loved it. I thought I knew where it was going. I was enjoying the ride to get there until I found out I was wrong. Brilliant! I cannot wait for book 3. Night Fever was good, but Night Call was fantastic! I am thoroughly enjoying this series. Ms. Hawkins has found her way onto my must read author shelf.

This book is AMAZING!! It's got me wrapped up in more knots than book one did and there's no sign of unwrapping me yet!
We pick up where book one left off, the feelings Lola has are muddy and she is unsure where her life is going. Unable to deny the feelings she has for beau and keep the feelings she has for Johnny separate are taxing.
Johnny tries to be ok with everything, but in the light of day that may not happen. Lola's thought s return to the one night she had with beau and she can't seem to let it go. What started out as a means to an end for Lola and Johnny quickly becomes an even bigger problem when the money just isn't enough.
Beau can't let go either, with the offer still on the table he doesn't let up until he gets what he wants, and that's Lola!
We meet new players in this book, Bridgette, beaus sister, is a royal b*^%h and I can't stand her from the moment we meet her.
This book left me with an unhealthy desire for book three!! I'm in desperate need to find out what happens!

Fabulous sequel to Night Fever, but I am now desperate for the final in the series. I hope Ms Hawkins is busy writing to quell that need!
I enjoyed the first book a lot, but this is even better. Once again the dialogue in Lola's head is so vital to the story, and Johnny's reactions to the events of the previous book are excellent. We are introduced to Brigitte, Beau's sister, and she has quite an interesting role to play. I'm sure there will be more to come from her. The twist at the end was completely unexpected and so clever. I highly recommend that you grab these two books as soon as possible, so then we can all be pleading together for the finale. Thank goodness it is not long to wait.

if there's something i love about jessica hawkins, is the way she writes male characters.
manning from the something in the way series, completely destroyed my vision of men in real life forever. i always love to read the serious and mysterious type of heroes, and beau is one of a kind. although i couldn't reallyreally connect with any character, i kind of liked the storyline but i'd have liked beau to be more mature and not have been carried away by something really stupid. plot twist, it made me more curious to know more about him.
ps: i don't know why possession and domination were split into two books when it could have been just one. this book was almost the same routine as the first.

During this part of the story we get the second “date”. Again, the heroine manipulates her boyfriend Jonny who the author depicts now as unworthy of this relationship so we don’t think of this as cheating as such. Lola is far from not enjoying this “job”. It is obvious at this point there is more to this random encounter and offer. As the date progresses Lola is certain she is in love with Beau of course not because he is Uber rich.
I can’t say there is anything redeemable about any of the characters depicted here. I know now though that there is a massive learning curve in future books! 🙃

How can Jessica do this to me???
This is book 2 in the series and of course, ends with a cliffhanger. In this book we continue with the Beau/Lola/Johnny saga, Beau gave Lola the option of a second night and Lola and Johnny quickly realize that 1 million isn’t enough for what they need. This leads to them accepting the second night and from there... wow.
Secrets revealed, drama ensues and emotions run high. And we are left hanging, wondering where it can go from here and who do we want Lola to be with? I’m so confused, my head and heart are warring and it was Jessica’s plan all along. Dang her!! 😏
Of course this book is worth the credit. And so will the next 2, my only complaint is that they aren’t released quick enough!
Christian Fox was the perfect choice for these books. He can play these characters and keep your head in the story like no one else. His voice is seduction and anger and happiness, all wrapped up in narration perfection.

Just when you thought this series couldn’t get any better.
This story is absolutely consuming me. Amazing! My only fault would be they just aren’t long enough. I don’t want it to end!!!
Can’t wait to delve into book number 3.

Ok, this book has gone beyond the "indecent Proposal" story line. Things are heating up between Lola and Beau and it turns out there's a lot more between them then just the money. A little glimpse into Beau's past may change everything between them. I can't wait to jump into the next book to see what's going to happen.

This series is packing all the punches!!! Another phenomenal book in this series! I’m still on the edge of my seat. Beau is so swoon worthy, drool worthy and melts everything you wear. The chemistry is electric and the stakes are high. Fabulous!

Not to sure about the third person way this story is told especially when listening to it. Plot twist at the end seems to me it could have been for a better reason. A turn down seems a little too far fetched for this extent of betrayal. Onto Provocation to see if revenge or Lola wins.
