“The question I keep asking myself is how have I never heard of this book before? How have I not heard of Olivia Pierce before? …keep on writing Olivia Pierce because I’ll be waiting for your next novel, and trust me when I say I will be the first one to buy it!” — My Bookish Things
“What I did like about this book was how Pierce manages to get the right balance between realism and fantasy. It combines conventional young adult themes along with themes that are more unusual.” — The Great Catsby

He reintroduced himself to me on the first day of classes. I totally choked. He was just so gorgeous, and all the Awesome-Nots were clustered around him, looking me up and down. It was disarming- and intimidating.
"More important to us at this particular juncture," Zerachiel is saying, "you must help her let go of you. We are quite aware that this will be a difficult task, likely the most difficult you have ever faced. To let go of what you love and desire most for the benefit of another soul is not an easy mission," he continues. "Many have tried and failed. And many more never even try. That is your challenge."
"Your Judgement Day is two weeks from now," Zerachiel concludes. "You have until then. Not a second more."
I absolutely loved this book! Normally when you read the description of the book that says the following:
The boyfriend died and he is stuck in the In Between because he cannot move on to Heaven or Hell because he still loves the girlfriend and the girlfriend still loves him.
"You left out the cause of the death," My.Bellows says simply, giving me the tour while reading my writing sample.
"Broken heart?" I quip.
Justin said, "I don't want to disappoint them. My parents, my friends, Coach, everyone. I'm not saying it's wrong or it's bad but sometimes it feels like they have this image of me that has nothing to do with who I actually am. Maybe it's my fault. Maybe I am scared to try and show them."
Tara: "That's why you like working with the Kickers so much, isn't it?" I ask.
"I just think kids should know someone's on their side, no matter what."
He texts me before I get halfway down the block from his car: Miss you.
