The Trap (the Ripper’s Net: Episode 3)

It’s 1892, Sydney. Ex-detective Frank Brady has a head full of demons, an opium habit and a determination to find out who murdered his wife in South Africa four years ago.

He enlists the help of a female journalist to flush out the killer from the gentleman’s club at the centre of a web of colonial corruption. As the final showdown unfolds, the identity of the killer seems irrefutable. But has Brady made a mistake and put the woman he has come to care about in danger?

Inspired by the true story of Melbourne murderer, Frederick Deeming, considered in some circles to be Jack the Ripper, the three books in the Ripper series make for a thrilling tale of murder and intrigue that will keep the reader guessing until the very end.

Keep an eye out for The Lure (the Ripper’s Net: Episode 1) and The Chase (the Ripper’s Net: Episode 2)!

“The mourners standing around (name redacted's) grave were having trouble controlling their black umbrellas: the shiny pools of material flapped and pulsed, turned inside out: half jellyfish, half fruit bat”

Totally un-put-downable. I've redacted the name of the person being mourned because you'd never guess who it is, or how he/she is connected to the murder that our unreliable hero Brady is investigating.
