Saving the Pack's Omega: A Reverse Harem Omegaverse Romance

Rate this book
When Luna Collins is about to be sold to the alpha of her nightmares, she takes matters into her own hands and escapes into the night. As an omega from the poor Southside part of town, locked away since she first perfumed, she has no plan, no place to go, only a desperate need to escape.

Fate, however, has other plans. She stumbles into the arms of the Ward pack, one of the most eligible packs of the rich Northside... and her fated mates.

The only issue? Her years of captivity have left her not only terrified of alphas but also unable to detect her scent matches.

Archer, Kane, Madden, and Chase are full of promises to keep her safe, but how can Luna trust them when all she knows from alphas is pain? When the alpha of her past won't let her go, will this pack be able to keep their promises to her?

This is a 115k word, slow-burn, MMFMM reverse harem omegaverse romance with a guaranteed HEA. This work was previously published in part on Kindle Vella in 2024.

This was a pretty good read! Even though it deals with very serious and dark subject matter, the overall relationship between omega and alphas reads very fluffy and sweet. I just needed a palate cleanser of soft romance due to the not-so-great book I was reading. The heroine is naive, but she's not dumb, and she does get a backbone every once in a while. Her alphas very much encourage her to do the things she wants to do and not the things she thinks they expect her to do for them. The alphas all individually open up to her and actively try to build a relationship with her from the beginning (after a small misunderstanding). I'm very much a damsel in distress apologist, so even though this book was right up my alley, it may not be everyone's cup of tea.

Incredibly repetitive trauma p0rn with a plot so full of holes and fallacies that you might as well slap a condemned sign on it.

I think sometimes authors forget that writing a character's internal dialog needs to actually sound like something someone would say or think or reminisce on... to themselves. Instead, books like this treat someone's unspoken thoughts and feelings like tell-athon info dump zone full of details that not only would no one say to themselves or think about, but phrasing that is so cringingly awkward that reading it exponentially adds to my frown lines. And, let me tell you, I spend too much money on beauty products to do that to myself.

Also, ick on an omega that is terrified, beaten, bruised, bloodied, dirty, and neglected, who very obviously has been abused and needs medical attention, being viewed in a sexual manner. I don't give two flying fucks if they're scent matches - if anything, that makes it worse.

And apparently Opera was there the day they were handing out these character's lips. "You get pink pouty lips! And YOU get pink pouty lips! Everyone gets pink pouty lips!"

If someone asked me, I would say I enjoy omegaverse books - I think the dynamic is interesting and has a lot of un-mined potential as a universe parallel. The problem is that most of the authors that delve into this genre almost seem to treat it like a quick and easy formula to sell a book... and their writing follows suit with one-dimensional, fast food smut and recycled, unimaginative plots and characters. I guess I'll just keep hoping for more.

I was IN IT. The beginning had such good emotion and I genuinely cared about the FMC and how she was feeling and what she was going through.
Then we have this horrible other omega that her whole purpose is just just be horrid and somehow gets in their house and sees her it moves the plot in such a dumb way

So then we’re at the 50% mark and she’s literally taken away and essentially put in another hostage situation because she can’t have any rights for herself at all and I understand that that’s the world that we’re put in but it is done in such a horrible way that it makes me Dislike all of the secondary characters

If you’re gonna have a book where the omega is supposed to find herself and her voice and stand up for herself and she is constantly constantly put into shitty situations where she has zero rights it makes it lazy and annoying and hard to read

So yeah, it killed the book for me

I fell in love with this book for sure. I enjoyed it from start to finish. The suffering the omega had to go through was heartbreaking but necessary so she could eventually end up where she was supposed to be. I loved all the main Alphas and their personalities. The spice, betrayals, hurt, happiness it all made this such a great and worthy read and made the ending so special

Traumatised omega FMC + 4 caring/protective MMCs = so much hurt/comfort!! 🥺

I can’t get enough of these types of stories, and this one was a satisfying read. Lots of angst and caregiving, good pace/build up, and just a sprinkling of character depth. 😅

There were definitely dark themes though, mostly off-page, so read with caution.

It took me a minute to think of what to say because I did like reading this but had a few dislikes. The story to me because a lot of the things happened off the page and some of them I felt would have let us connect with the characters a bit more. Like Luna going to her classes, especially her cooking class because she liked it so much.
Then some of the character's decisions were a bit…….confusing. Like the MMC decision to not register Luna immediately. I understand a little because of how they met her and what she went through, but if Archer (one of the MMCs) knows how his dad is and what trouble this would bring, why not go through with it?
Like I felt like a lot of the problems that happened afterward could have been avoided a bit if they went through that differently.

Take this with a grain of salt, this is just my opinion and what I took from the book. I did still enjoy the book and if you like Omegaverse, I would say try this.

What a wonderful book, I loved how the love of her pack brought her back after being held in an abūsíve home. Poor Luna went through hëll at the hands of her ‘not’ parents and then of course there’s ‘Alpha Niall’, Wow he was a piece of work!! The Ward pack were all just wonderful powerful Alpha men, but for her, were super sweet, caring and so loving. Madden and Chase were my favourites for opposite reasons 😝

It had the usual traits for this kind of book - abūsëd omega manages to run away, who happens upon her scent match pack, who then nurse her back to health with kind gestures and love, then the obligatory kídnäppíng and rescue, all of which I absolutely love!! You read on page some of the physical abūsë at the start, but most of her physical & sëxuāl abūsë is from speaking in past tense terms, however nothing to detailed.

The pace was nice and gentle with a few angsty spikes. I wish there had been a lot more details on ‘Alpha Niall’s’ punishments, that’s my only niggle, there wasn’t any! Only a brief one liner on his upcoming court case!! 😩

All in all it was a really wonderful read, it kept me engrossed thought out and a thoroughly enjoyable.

I can highly recommend this book to any Omegaverse lover! X

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Luna is such a sweet gentle omega, who’s been held cäptíve by her so called parents. Parents that sell her heats to random groups of betas for “medication” for her mother!! Those heats are paínful, abūsíve and trāumåtic. The only Alpha she sees at a few of her heats is so much worse. To him she’s should be a subsẽrvíent omega wħøre, ready and waiting for his every abūsíve whim!

When Luna is told she is to be permanently sold to him, Luna has no alternative but to run!!!

Alphas Archer, Kane, Chase & Madden run the biggest security firm in the city. They are longing for an Omega but all the Omegas they’ve met are just gold diggers and hold absolutely nothing they find endearing in any way, they just want the prestige and status of being with a powerful pack.

- Archer, head of their pack, is very reserved, not wanting to talk about his emotions and the weight he carries trying to look after his pack and their needs. He struggles with his anger, especially at Lunas ǎbűse and has a negative relationship with his father.
- Kane suffers ongoing night terrors after witnessing the mūrder of his parents in the omega riøts years ago. Terrørs which are hard to break him out of, so sleep for him is a träumātic experience.
Madden, a quiet hopeless romantic, has anxiety and hangups over being from the Southside. A stigma a lot of the Northside packs and especially Northside Omegas hold against him. Omegas that look down on him and try to break the pack up suggesting he be thrown out!
- Chase has always been chasing after the next hit of something, whether that’s drųgs, șẽx, or adrenaline. When his poor mother got sick when he was seventeen, it sent him spiralling for the next hit. His drũnken, dřůg fuelled shenanigans got him kídnāppėd and held for rǎnsom. Whilst clean now, he’s still a fun loving crazy ladies man!

When they first meet Luna, they fall instantly as their scent match instincts lock in. They can see her äbůse written in her brūíses, hãunted expression and subsẽrvíent tendencies. They vow to protect her, spoil her and love her so much, whilst showing her she is equal, if not above, them in every way.

Everything is settling into place, even though Luna can’t pick up the scent match to her pack quite yet, after so many screwed up heats over the years. Luna is absolutely loving her new pack and home, with the help of her adorable alphas, she’s gradually changed from an äbůsed, scäred omega to the brave young woman.

However she’s an unregistered Omega and there’s an Alpha out there that’s determined to get her back!!

I was so brilliantly privileged to be gifted the opportunity to receive a digital arc from the author simply because I was interested in reading it!
The first page had me hooked. And I finished this read in record time!
The bond between the characters is so real and not at all forced feeling. The story is well paced for a short read. And I was on the get of my seat when everything popped off!
Luna went through so much hell and grew so much in a very relatable way.
Madden is such a big bad tough tattooed teddy bear!!!
Chase gives big golden retriever energy <3
Archer gives German Shepard protectiveness but is so gooey inside it’s precious:)
Kane is such a tortured little tootsie roll !!!
Please don’t ask me who’s my favorite cuz why would I choose?!?! How cold I choose?!
My favorite pet name tho….absolutely will forever be moonlight. How stinking cute?!?!
This book is great for anyone who wants a little spiced shadowy reverse harem omegaverse romance. 5/5 stars !!!

4.5 ⭐️ I love the damsel in distress trope, and this delivered. The MMCs were so sweet and most had their own baggage, too. The omegaverse world system was a little different than other books I’ve read, but I thought that was interesting.

Not a bad book but the story was too predictable and then it didn't keep me engaged. I even found that the story was becoming a bit too corny for my taste.

Luna has been a prisoner for years in her own home. From the moment she had her pre-awakening as an omega, her parents kept her from going outside. When she was older, she was sold by them to betas and a particular alpha during her heats, which were always horrible experiences for her. When she heard of the upcoming plans they had for her, she took a chance and ran away.

She finds herself in the Northside and reluctantly accepts help from a pack called the Ward pack. She soon learns that they aren't anything like the other alpha she knew, and everything she's ever been taught about being an omega was a lie. Life starts getting pretty good, and she starts coming into herself more until word gets out about her identity and whereabouts. Ripped away from the pack she's beginnin to think of as hers, she can only hope that she'll see them again and won't get caught again by the people who had nefarious plans for her before!

There's some good character development in this book. Luna was someone who shook like a leaf when coming across alphas before, but she builds confidence in herself and learns to overcome her fears. A couple of the men in the pack have demons of their own, but find that Luna's presence is able to help them overcome them, as well.

There's some mystery and action in this novel as well, considering the human traffickers, who the identity of Niall is, what his plans are, and so on.

It's certainly not a fluffy Omegaverse, but the guys are all in when it comes to their omega, willing to do anything to protect her and show her what a life full of love can really be like.

It's a decent book... but some of the "poor" part of the plot was laughable. (Coming from someone that actually grew up in VERY real poverty.)

"I've never played in the snow before. When I was younger, my family never spent money on winter clothing, so whenever it got too cold for my normal clothes, I'd just stay inside as long as I could."

I used old SOCKS for mittens. As a child, you figure it out and make it work. NEVER playing in the snow before is literally laughable. Playing in the snow for only 5 minutes because you end up soaked and freezing was better than just looking at it from inside.

I really enjoyed this omegaverse read! It's got my favorite pack dynamic for omegaverse- caring and protective alphas (with a bit of angst but not a lot) caring for a traumatized (by someone else, not her pack) omega. Overall this is quite sweet and charming- it gave me all that I want in a feel-good omegaverse. They worship her, the pack is memorable and each guy has his own dynamic/moment, the omega grows as a heroine, and the pack-omega dynamics are tender and devoted and worshipful...but we also still have some dark elements (outside of the pack) that make this a really engaging read. A great balance- the darkness gives us drama, but the pack side gives me the sweetness I crave in omegaverse.

Our heroine is definitely traumatized- and it's painful to hear about her past. She's been abused (and used) by her family and evil men- until she escapes and finds her way to her scent matches, the Ward pack...they know immediately she's theirs as they rescue her, but our omega Luna, on the otherhand, has been so emotionally and physically harmed by her abuse that she can't recognize it herself. She also doesn't fully understand the dynamics because she's not been exposed to the real world.

I loved Luna- she's an omega you want to root for. She's resilient, though fragile, incredibly vulnerable but also strong in her ability to survive. Her finding a pack that loves her, cares of her, protects her, and priortizes her is a beautiful and swoony thing. The pack is also super delicious- each has their own charms and personalities, each has their own dynamic with Luna. Madden is probably my favorite just because I love a big, burly, broken man with a heart of gold. He's so dreamy, but they are all great. Not fully fleshed out (not in the way it is with Luna) but defined enough as leading men that we feel they are distinct and substantive.

The chemistry is good- and this is a SLOOOOOW BURN- like kissing even takes forever. I don't usually love a slower burn, especially in a omegavese book, but I thought it was smart and really worked here. She's been sexually traumatized for years, so despite her biological pull, her men are respectful and patient- they give her heart and mind time to heal even if her body may seem ready. They are truly so sweet with her. So caring. But also super protective in that way I adore. We do have some OW drama (not that the men feed into in any way) and a ton of drama with her past and then a bigger "poor" vs. "rich" side of town dynamic with some omega traffic stuff.

The romance is super low angst and a sweet slow burn but the other action keeps the pages turning. This was a 5 star read for me until the end- ugh, when I felt like the ball just got dropped and it was rushed. Like after ALL that healing and build up and drama, we get to the heat and spice and it's so rushed, so meh, and all the drama at the end alongside it also felt rushed. The pacing was just all off- and I was sad we didn't get to languish more in the emotional pay off, in these two exploring their new dynamic, the heat actually feeling substantive and important, etc. This seems to originally have been a kindle vella publication (a serialized chapter by chapter platform) and I've often found that books translated from that format to a full book leave me with that- the exposition and build up of the story feel imbalanced to the finale/climatic elements- and that's the case here. I just wish it had been more substantive and less rushed, because it was definitely a top omegaverse read for me prior. But all in all, I still really enjoyed it and recommend it- and I'll definitely be checking out more from Callie.

I’m not sure how I feel about this book. I was expecting a cozy, sweet omegaverse with some dark parts. What I got was about 30% cozy-sweet omegaverse… and 70% darkness.

But let me start by telling you what this book is about:

📚 Quick Synopsis 📚
Luna is an omega who hasn’t had a single good thing happen to her in her entire life. She was raised by people who despised her, and as soon as they found out she was an omega, they started selling her body. She was pulled out of school and locked away from the time she was pre-pubescent. When she wasn’t being raped, she was being physically abused in other ways. She spends most of her life in a dank cellar.

Eventually, her “parents” announce they’ve sold her to an evil, abusive alpha who takes pleasure in hurting and degrading her. Luna manages to escape and meets her scent matches—though she doesn’t recognize them.

📝 Review 📝
The problem is that once Luna gets to her pack, she doesn’t actually get to stay. There’s no chance to blossom, heal, or even get to know them.

Luna didn’t get nearly enough time with the guys to build trust or begin healing. There was barely any cuddling, purring, or bonding at all. The pack was just starting to break the ice with her when It was just… really disappointing.

💔And honestly, my anxiety couldn’t handle the sheer amount of trauma in this story. Luna gets maybe three or four days of peace in the entire book after a lifetime of abuse. That’s it. And in those first few days, she’s too terrified to let practically anyone near her. This just wasn’t sweet or cozy enough for me—too much darkness.

Luna was such a sweet and endearing FMC and I really admired her strength. I really enjoyed reading her story and I liked how each of her guys had clear and distinct personalities. She is a fighter through and through and despite all of the horrible things done to her, she didn’t let it dim her light. She had every reason to be afraid of not just all alphas, but all men, yet she still gave her guys a chance and that was without her fully realizing exactly what they were to her (her scent matches).

This is definitely more on the darker side for OV (not *too* too dark, it’s not as dark as say Jenn Bullard’s books but Luna has been through a LOT of traumatic awful sh*t). And this is a slow burn. I read this as an ARC and this is my first book from Callie Clark so I didn’t realize going in that it was a slow burn, however, with the events in the book and how it’s written plus her trauma, a slow burn was arguably necessary and it passes quickly so you don’t even really feel it.

The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I felt some parts dragged (I did find myself skimming quite a lot, I don’t know if it’s because I was stressed for Luna because of the antagonist or just that I felt some parts could have gone faster). And aside from that, the main reason it’s not a 5-star read for me personally is that I wished they had more time to just exist as a pack at the end. The ending felt a bit rushed for me and things kind of don’t happen until the very end and I prefer when books give the characters more time to exist in their HEA before the book concludes.

I will say I hope to read Officer Stone’s and his pack’s book! I kind of wanted Luna to adopt him and his whole pack for herself lol

All in all, I’d say this is a pretty solid OV read, especially if you like:

•traumatized/abused heroines
•hurt/comfort
•protective obsessed alphas
•billionaire pack
•super dominant alpha (who can bark anyone into submission)
•adorable omega
•nesting
•heats
•found family

I absolutely enjoyed Luna's story with the Ward pack! The pacing of the story felt well done, the plot kept me invested all the way through and I enjoyed the relationship development and characters' personalities. Luna's development from the abused, scared omega to the brave woman we see towards the end is something I really enjoyed. It didn't feel rushed or forced and it felt a gradual change over the course of the book. I'd happily recommend this standalone to anyone looking for a great, enjoyable omegaverse read! This book is definitely medium burn with the spicy scenes being in the second half of the book but the build up is worth it!

I enjoyed all of the Ward's pack alphas. Archer, the head alpha of the pack, is a mostly reserved man with moments of passion when it came to the thought of losing Luna. He cared deeply about her well being and was reserved because he didn't want to frighten her. Kane was the most reserved member of the pack, suffering terrible nightmares of his past and feared harming Luna during one of his nightmare terrors. They bonded over the love of reading and found comfort in each other which was absolutely lovely. Madden, the biggest alpha of the pack, is a hidden romantic and sweetheart behind his tattooed exterior. Being judged for where he came from, Luna accepted him as he was and didn't judge his past. They both fell hard for each other and were just so cute together! Lastly we have Chase who was the fun, caring, sunshine personality of all the alphas who just knew how to calm and soothe omegas which helped with Luna. He loved shopping for clothes for her and just doing what he could to care for her. They were all really sweet and absolutely loved their cute moments together!

This was a fantastic first book by Callie—I truly enjoyed it! The story was gripping from the start, and the author did a great job developing all of the main characters. Each had a unique relationship with the FMC, and I especially loved how those bonds were mutual—she helped them, and they helped her. It was one of the truest showings of the meaning of a scent match.

The FMC’s journey was powerful, especially in the way she found her strength and eventually stood up to alphas that would have terrified her in the past. Standing up to the dad was the best part, she just wanted the things from HER pack. There are dark themes throughout the book, so please be sure to check the TW before starting.

My biggest critique—and the reason for the 4-star rating—is that I simply didn’t want the story to end. There were many themes introduced (none of which were bad), but I felt they didn’t all get the attention they deserved. The story would have been better served as a duet or extended into a longer book—600 pages, even!

While I enjoyed the twists and turns, they came quickly and left little room for the pack to simply be together. We only got one chapter after the conflict before the epilogue, which made the ending feel rushed. I just wanted more time with Luna and her men—I loved them that much.

That said, I’m very excited to read more from this author. I’m really hoping the Graylock pack gets a book next!

I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving my review.

This is the first book in the Riverwell Omegaverse series, a set of interconnected standalones. This is a dark omegaverse romance where the FMC escapes an abusive and exploitative situation. I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own. Thank you to the author for my eArc.

The Lovely: I loved how the pack treated the FMC - not just cherishing and loving her, but really supporting her to grow. There were a number of touching moments I loved - especially between the FMC and one of the MMCs that was from the same side of town as her. The interactions were truly sweet and swoonworthy.

Recommendation: This story had strong pacing and a good (and early) hook that drew me in. From that point it felt like the balance between the character development and plot was perfect. I definitely stayed engaged and actually finished this book in one night. A standout debut from this author. If you’re looking for a dark and heavy omegaverse romance that’s heavy on the hurt/comfort and swoonworthy MMCs, I think you would like this book.

Saving The Pack’s Omega is a cute omegaverse story that ticks all the right boxes for fans of this genre. Luna, the omega FMC, has endured significant trauma (please check trigger warnings before reading), but her journey toward healing begins when she escapes and finds refuge with four protective alphas—Madden, Chase, Kane, and Archer.

The story focuses on the development of their pack, with a strong theme of support, safety, and emotional growth. Watching Luna slowly regain her strength and confidence was both touching and satisfying, and the dynamic between the pack members felt genuine and heartfelt.

The main reason this wasn’t a five-star read for me was the scene where Luna was taken to the omega centre. Even though they hadn't known each other for long, I expected the MMCs to fight harder for her—desperately, fiercely, even irrationally. Instead, their response felt too subdued and almost resigned. I craved more fire and defiance in that moment—something dramatic and raw that showed they wouldn’t let her go without a fight.

Despite that, I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and characters, and I’ll absolutely be reading more from Callie Clark. This was a strong start to what I hope becomes an addictive omegaverse series.

Thank you to Callie Clark for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

An angsty, emotional omegaverse is my jam!! I hunt this down and devour them whenever I come across them! When I started this one, I was HOOKED! I could not put it down for the first 30% or so and was eating it up! The emotions, the angst, the journey, the characters, the plot!! It was everything I was looking for and more. I loved how we get this damaged and scarred omega and see her meet this pack of alphas that are struggling in their own ways. I'm down bad for caretaking vibes which we saw quite a bit of in the beginning and then sprinkled throughout the book.

However, it did start to go off the rails a bit and I feel like there was just something off towards the middle/end of the story and it felt like it was vastly different and just very fast paced all at once. I think there was just a lot being introduced plot wise and then it all needed to be wrapped up while still focusing on the characters and I think the author struggled a bit with the balance and containing the fire that was the beginning of this book. It was still a good read, but for myself, it lost a bit of the potential that was there in the beginning.

I do plan to continue the series because I am interested in the next few books and hope they can give me all the emotions!

I could not put this book down, it was so good. Im so grateful that I was gifted a copy of this book. I got extremely attached to the female main character and the four male main characters and their stories and backgrounds. Luna went through so very and grew so much in an extremely relatable way.

Madden is such a big bad tough tattooed teddy bear!!!

Chase gives big golden retriever energy <3

Archer gives German Shepard protectiveness but is so gooey inside it’s precious:)

Kane is such a tortured little tootsie roll !!!

I think my favorite trope of this book was the fated mates and why choose but soulmates and fated mates tropes in books always make me happy. It was sweet reading how Luna, the female main character was healing from her trauma and how the other male main characters were as well. I highly recommend this book for omegaverse readers!-Norma

Groomed Omega learns the truth

Luna has been sold to betas for her years. She has only ever had one Alpha and she hates him. When she hears that she is being given to him she decides to run.

It's winter, she has very little on and no shoes. She is found in a train car by a bunch of Alphas and that terrifies her. She is taken home by the Ward pack who quickly realize she is injured, traumatized and their scent match.

Luna assumes she must be there to service these Alphas. But is embarrassed when they offer her safety, clothing, and food while asking for nothing in return.

Unfortunately Luna is also from the South side and unregistered which causes issues. So now we have to deal with her going through the registration process which includes pack courting.

This book was very interesting. I love the wrong side of the tracks meeting Alpha's who have to deal with all the damage her parents did. She is so scared and has to learn what is actually expected of her.

I love what she brings to each of the men and even more what they give her. It's a beautiful story of overcoming the worst.

I received this book as an arc but all opinions are my own.

I devoured this book. I’ve been on quite the angst kick and this book had that in spades. The journey Luna goes through is heartbreaking but her strength is beautiful and she gains so much of it with the help of not just her guys but those around her, including Charlotte, Chase’s sister, who is an absolute gem. There were a couple of syntax errors but they were super easy to ignore and did not impact my enjoyment of this book at all. I hope in future books we get to see the changes proposed implemented and that we see Reyna again. I do wish that we explored Archer and his dad’s relationship a bit more but I have a feeling that we will see a lot of these characters and threads in future books in the universe. I also wish there was resolution around Brandy as the last we heard the police chief was going to “talk” to her. I can’t wait to read future installments and see where Callie goes with this universe. She’s created an interesting and layered omegaverse brimming with secrets.

It’s a 3.5 stars for me.

The story stays pretty surface level throughout the whole book. There’s a couple story elements and moments that could use more depth that get a bit glossed over. The characters and relationships themselves also stay very shallow. I would’ve loved to see Luna grow more through small moments, instead of making strides because of things we don’t see play out on page (like spending small moments with the guys, taking classes,…). So for me it was hard to connect to the characters at times because you don’t really get to know them. I was also irked by the fact that all the guys instantly had nicknames for Luna without even knowing her.

Despite all the things I liked a bit less, it was an enjoyable and fast read. It’s a bit cliche and nothing groundbreaking, but if you like a vulnerable abused omega who finds her pack story, this will be a great fit. I personally would’ve loved to see her healing process better worked out and not so sudden, but it’s definitely as worked out as a lot of other popular stories with these tropes.

"'No, actually, I got hurt because I decided to jump between you and the guy with a gun.'"

Luna gaining her confidence and leaning to trust after everything she's been through is beautifully heartwarming to see. Archer, Kane, Chase and Madden are the perfect pack to help her through her trauma, even if there are a few questionable decisions made.
There's a good mix of lighter moments to offset how emotionally heavy certain aspects are.
While I loved reading about Luna and her guys I do think the final resolution was a little anticlimactic. Things are left more open then I would like, because it is the first in a new interconnected standalones, I know the following books will probably have some answers but I do wish there was more closure.
There is an interesting dynamic between the Northside and Southside that adds another layer to the Omegaverse and I cannot wait to see how things play out in future stories.
If you're looking for a quieter strength in your fmc who isn't afraid to let her alphas take care of her this is the story for you.

This was the first omega-verse I’ve read in a while and it was a good one to start back with. The plot was great, following Luna and her escape from her abusers. A lot of the books I’ve read where the FMC goes through something traumatic like that glosses over the healing process. They kinda flash forward through the “her being scared of everything” stage. This book did not shy away from that one bit. While her healing and learning to trust her alpha’s (for the most part) took place over just a few days, it was written in a way that seemed like much longer. So many authors shy away from the hard parts of the healing and growing after the trauma, Callie Clark did not.

The end did feel a bit rushed to me. We saw so much of the healing and growing that the end with the third act plot twist felt very rushed. Parts of the last couple of chapters felt unnatural and didn’t make much sense to me. It felt very forced which made it harder for me to get through the last few chapters. All in all it was a really good book and I can’t wait to read more Callie Clark in the future.
