Phantom Footsteps
Four years ago Rachael O’Connor stood by the side of the road waiting for her lover, Victor, to pick her up and take her away with him to start a new life. When he didn’t show up she assumed that he got cold feet and ran back to his ex wife and the kids he adored.
Now she suddenly finds out that the man she thought had abandoned her has in fact been missing the whole time. As Kerr and Rachael dig into the past and try to unravel the mystery surrounding Victor’s disappearance they receive financial assistance from an unlikely source, but the offer comes with strings attached.
