It gives a foundation, a framework to understand the underlying logic of how the world is running. Politics is the base of everything. And the author lends us a lens to see how a country’s path, past, geography could shape its future. Things have patterns.

Required for intro to comparative politics. Setup so that it’s easy to read and comprehend. I recommend it if you’re curious to how our (U.S.A.) government is setup compared to others.
