4 stars when done with a committed group along with the assortment of lectures.
To be clear… I’m still (hopefully) well ahead of my third third of life. 😂 That being said, I found it valuable to sit with those older than me to work through the often weighty concept of our lives’ purposes together. I love seeing people finding their strengths and talents, then being able to apply them in a way that fuels them with purpose accordingly - this contributes greatly to human flourishing, after all. I believe this book offers a good Christian exploration of the topic. I especially appreciated the continual calls for navigating purpose *in community* rather than on our own, and found chapter 4 the most helpful in the journey to naming our purpose statements. One of my main critiques is the use of AI, but I understand not everyone will share this sentiment. The only other potential blind spot for me is that it sets, perhaps, an overly ambitious goal by trying to wrap up in only 5 sessions. While this certainly helps make it an easier commitment on the timeline, our group seemed to have a hard time feeling “finished” by the end of the 5th session.
Regardless, I think this resource was actually even better than I was hoping for it to be, and I would recommend the right crowd check it out. :)
