a series from the beginning so that you know all the back stories.
In this final installment of the trilogy, we meet Audra and Barrett. Audra is best friends with Olivia (from book 2) and she meets Barrett while at the motorcross/mud bogs/drag races that take place on Olivia's husband (Eric)'s tracks. Audra is recovering from a betrayal at the hands of a former love who kept a HUGE secret from her. Barrett is a man of mystery with a LOT of secrets of his own. Should Audra look past the secret nature of her new love and trust her heart - or will the secrecy drive her away?
The theme throughout this Christian romance is learning to let go of our fears and surrendering to God's will for our lives. Not always easy to do, especially if you have been burned by love in the past. How Audra and Barrett get past the insecurities and fear is a wonderful testament to what God can do if you will surrender to His will. Again, not always easy to do.
Audra has trust issues. After the last man she dated, she figures she can never trust another man, ever. When Barrett starts trying to get her attention, she tries to avoid him. But she finds herself drawn to him even when he's being mysterious and doesn't answer questions about himself and his life. As he becomes friends with her friends, more and more she finds herself spending time with him.
Exciting. You were always wondering what would happen next. Well written .
Didn't want to put book Down. Always something to make you wonder what will happen next.. and the end was a surprise. Just the excitement at end was enough to make this 5 star book. Recommend if you like goog Christian reading
I would never have believed Barrett's tragic past by his behavior and the way he pursued Audra. She was a challenge because she too had been deceived and hurt. I didn't read the first two stories in this series which would have helped me understand Audra's friend Olivia better. Both Audra and Barrett had to learn how to face their fears if they were to have a future. This was a good read.
If you love a good Christian romance and love to laugh, you'll love this series. WARNING! Once you start reading this series, and, I suggest you start at book one, "The Bride Wore Coveralls", you won't be able to put them down, until you read them all. Getting ready to read another Debra Ulrick series!
Very unique plot. Loved the first heroine and the confident dashing hero. Loved their faith individually and combined even better. It is true that He can conquer any fear we have and makes all things possible.
