She came for a yoga retreat. She found a life – and a love – she never expected.
Burned out from her corporate career, Morgan Reece is desperate for a break. But a wrong turn lands her at Hillcrest Dairy, not the peaceful retreat she planned. With the farm shorthanded, rugged owner Nate Anderson offers her a help out for two weeks in exchange for room and board.
It’s meant to be temporary. Yet as Morgan trades deadlines for sunrises and spreadsheets for starry skies, she finds herself drawn to the land—and to Nate’s steady kindness.
Nate has been burned before, and he knows city dreams don’t last in small towns. But Morgan’s laughter and warmth awaken a hope he thought he’d buried for good.
A heartwarming, small-town romance about finding healing, hope, and the courage to stay.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Morgan's high stress job making sure clients were always happy becomes too much. She finally decides she deserves a much needed vacation and chooses to visit a farm in Wisconsin where they offer yoga among the goats. But technology gets things confused and she ends up at a dairy farm and signs on to be a temporary farm hand to help Nate while his regular hands are away. Its a lot of hard work but she finds herself really enjoying the gratification of completing tasks that really matter. She loves the peacefulness, the animals, and getting to know Nate. You'll love the story as Morgan gets attached to everything on the farm including Nate.
