She became a teacher and lecturer in primary education and wrote a variety of books on education as well as a collection of fiction and memoirs.

Tons of fun to read! Made me so nostalgic for a little one-room classroom!

I read this book many years ago as a student teacher and I was utterly inspired by the teacher's art-based learning model.
