One moment I was at a beach resort. The next, I was flailing through a jungle on an alien planet—and falling for the snarling catman who saved me.
All I wanted was a cocktail and a tan. What I got? A crash course in survival, one very growly alien pilot, and dreams that leave me breathless—and naked.
Zehn is a Rodinian Reaper, a lethal warrior with claws, fangs, and a purr that could melt titanium. He says we’re fated. That the universe gifted me to him.
Then another alien shows up… and he’s dreaming of me too.
Now I’ve got two growly, possessive aliens fighting to claim me—and I’m just trying not to die in the jungle.
Lost in another world. Found in a bond that can’t be broken.
Everly only wanted a break from her stressful life, but a shimmer in the jungle pulls her from Earth and strands her on a dangerous planet. Alone and hunted, she comes face to face with Zehn, a disciplined Rodinian warrior who swears she’s his fated mate. His protective strength steadies her even as the impossible bond between them grows too real to ignore.
But everything changes when Khaaz enters her life, a brooding hybrid created for war but aching for more than survival. He shares the same bond with Everly, and though he resists it, she sees the vulnerable heart behind his armor. Torn between two males who both claim her, she begins to realize the truth isn’t division, it’s unity.
As enemies close in and secrets from the past surface, the three of them face trials that test their loyalty, their strength, and the bond they never expected. Survival becomes belonging, and belonging becomes love. Together they fight for a future worth claiming, forging a connection that can’t be broken.
Everly grows from a woman weighed down by emptiness into one who finds strength and belonging in a new world. Zehn, once only a soldier, learns to embrace tenderness as much as duty. Khaaz, born as a weapon, discovers he has the power to choose his own path. Their relationship evolves from mistrust to unity, as Everly accepts both as her mates and they accept each other. What begins in fear and survival becomes an unshakable triad bound by respect, trust, and love.
A steamy, dark, alien warrior, fated mates, sci fi, triad romance, exploring love, fate, destiny, identity, survival, trust, acceptance, family, belonging, sacrifice, and transformation. It’s about survival in the unknown, discovering identity and belonging, choosing love and family against fear, and transforming through trust, sacrifice, and destiny.
So this was pretty good! we've got a down on her luck human whose vacation ends up with her on a hostile planet, and an elite catlike warrior alien with mating on his mind.
THOUGHTS:
- This was cute and spicy but I did detract a star because the heroine was a bit bland and didn't have much personality and because it felt pretty insta-love between the leads.
- this does have MM and sharing, if you're not into two guys together, you may not like this.
- I wish we got to see more of Khaaz! We're told he's basically stronger and faster than Zehn because he's been genetically enhanced, but he's basically on the sidelines from the get go. I wish we had seen more of his background, seen him struggle with the scars of his past and become more of a dominant, active and bonded member of the group (sex aside). We never really see him come into his own and bond with the heroine.
- the whole thing at the end felt a bit unnecessary (with the handprint scanner and human history etc.) it felt like a bit of an info dump to make the story more "interesting".
- would have LOVED to see them take her in their beast forms (the bigger stronger form) since there was repeated talk in the beginning of the book about Zahn having like an inner beast in his head (kind of like a shifter) and then it's never really mentioned again
- the smut was good but I wish we had more dirty details lol. I like explicit spicy times and this was more "they thrusted, she's came" kind of a vibe
'As I worked, I tried not to think about what it would mean to see them together. To stand before Zehn— a pure Rodinian Reaper— and the woman who was his by cosmic right. Would he see me for what I was? A twisted reflection, a corruption of his proud lineage? Would she look at me with fear? With disgust? It shouldn’t matter. It couldn’t matter. Their safety— her safety— was more important than my own confused feelings.'
I loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. While I loved Everly and Zehn, it was Khaaz that I loved the most. His character is exactly the type of male lead I'm always drawn to. He's honorable, strong, protective, smart, and intuitive. But my heart broke for how he felt himself so broken that he would never be chosen or wanted as a mate.
I loved the first meeting between him and Zehn: the almost clash and Zehn's sizing him up, trying to understand what he was. Their agreement to work together to protect Everly and get her off the planet so she would be safe.
This story was a fast-paced journey with suspense, danger, and action. I was completely hooked and absolutely loved the dynamic between the three of them and and was dying to see how things would turn out. 5 stars
4.5 stars. This story is triple POV, well written and edited, and a fast-paced, portal travel, ménage a trois, fated mates, male feline humanoid (Zehn)/male hybrid (Khaaz)/female human (Everly), sci fi romance. I enjoyed Everly’s pragmatic approach to her situation, and her determination to contribute when she had opportunity. I enjoyed Zehn’s confidence in their fated mate reality and his certainty that their triad would be viable. I empathised with Khaaz’s history and enjoyed his stoic calm. I adored his joy at the determined inclusion by the others. I enjoyed the steamy intimate scenes and the relationship development. I enjoyed the easy acceptance into Zehn’s society.

This was an engaging read, told in multiple POVs, that follow Everly, a gal weighed down by her life and on vacay, as she gets sucked through to a hostile planet. What follows is an exciting journey that takes her from a weary gal to someone who learns how to survive and what her true strengths are. She also gets the love of two warriors, that also have their own self discovery journey to undergo. This was a great fated mates romance and a fab addition to the series :D
Curiosity got the cat alright. This was a great book. Loved the characters and the dynamic between them. That last claiming scene stuck with me for awhile. I think the book was well written. I think it would be harder having to come up with three points of view to write about.

I do like Everly. Finding herself on a new world, facing an environment not her own and coming up against, not one but two alien males, she stands tall and taken action to help save herself from the dangers that face her.
