Before reading this book read trigger warnings cause it maybe for not everyone!!!
Sadie Sadie Sadie what you did women. I mean you sure as hell knows how to make us scream. Daddy Sebastian was everything a girl would want 😍. Lauren she’s so fierce, strong and unstoppable 😍. I’ve always loved strong FMC’s.
Seb and Lauren went through a lot of things since their childhood but together they overcome them. Holy moly spice of this book was spicing 🥵. Sadie sure as hell know how to deliver those spicy kinky scenes. This book made me feel so many things at once. Emotional, cry, laugh, happy.
Sadie keep delivering us your masterpieces and we won’t complain 🙈. Thank you so much for giving this opportunity to me 😊.

Can I just say holy crap Sebastian and Lauren have one amazingly volatile relationship. I am so happy they found happiness with each other, after what they both went through as children and how much they both care for the people around them. Seeing their relationship grow from just physical companionship to pretty much everything to each other!
Sebastian was a serial playboy who was engaged multiple times prior and was not looking for anything long term, but Lauren quick beat that out of him from the minute the met. He was obsessed and even when her tried to find someone else she was still there in his head bringing him back to her and it was so dang perfect. Lauren has a scary traumatic past that never seemed to let her feel like she was fully safe and that she could not trust men to be there for her. She was not expecting Seb to walk into her life and change everything about her look on relationships, but he did and it made her stronger and gave her something to fight for and her happiness. Put them both together and they both make one spicy, explosive team.
This story was a rough as some of the topics in this were heavy, but seeing these two go to bat for each other and others who need help to get out of horrible situations and circumstances was perfection. They are both two of the strongest and most giving characters I ever meet. And the overlap with other characters was amazing and so fun!!! I loved every minute of this story and I’m so thankful I was able to read it earlier and review it for Sadie!!!!

ARC Review
Having read most of Sadie’s books, I can say this is probably her darkest and spiciest yet. Please read the trigger warnings before going into this book, that said I really enjoyed this. The story was intriguing and kept me guessing up until the last minute what was going to happen.
The spice was hot and way kinkier than I was expecting but as usual, Sadie knows how to deliver on spice. I definitely wasn’t expecting the level of vulnerability in the book and really liked this, both Seb and Lauren have traumatic pasts and seeing them work through this to eventually being together was really lovely.
It was so nice to see some characters from other series’, including the Montoya’s from LA and of course Samantha and Gabriel were back, considering Seb is Sam’s dad and Gabriels best friend and business partner. I really liked how they were all linked and brought into the story throughout. Don’t worry though, you don’t have to have read any of the other series to keep up, although I would absolutely recommend you do as they are also brilliant.
I devoured this in 24 hours, it pulled me in completely and I really struggled to put it down. I am more used to a series with Sadie but it was really nice to have the story concluded at the end of this book and the epilogues were perfect. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a darker, spicier story with an older silver fox of an MMC and a confident yet feisty FMC.

I absolutely love this book! Which is no surprise, really, as Sadie never disappoints.
I'll start by saying how much I welcomed a mature couple. Im not usually one for age gaps, but i loved that both were mature adults (33-48). They are an absolute power couple. The dynamic and chemistry between them - RED HOT!
Lauren was subjected to so much as a child. She's carried that trauma throughout her life and never fully allowed herself to be happy. But by no means does this make her weak. Her walls are up, she has boundaries, but she will take what she wants and leave. What she doesn't expect is to be absolutely captivated by her best friends Dad.
Seb, oh my word - this man! The mouth on him, the kinks! Utter perfection 👌🏼 Seb himself carries his own demons. He's been a playboy for years, never managing to settle down. That is until Lauren.
This story is packed with so much. I would say it's definately darker than your usual Sadie books - but this isn't an issue for me.
I guarantee you won't be able to put this down. It will keep you in suspense, making you race to the end.

This may be my favourite Sadie Kincaid book to date. I’m a sucker for a dark romance, age gap and some solid spice and that was all included in this.
Seb and Lauren have been through their share of drama and watching them come together to n a healing way was beautiful. Add in the chemistry and spicy times and these two were such a hot couple.

Soooo many amazing things to say about this book. Seb and Lauren were PERFECTION. Lauren and her mysterious background and Seb with his broody (but soft) personality. I was hooked from the very start, rooting for them the whole time.
I loved getting updates on the Montoya’s and learning a little bit more about this incredible universe that Sadie has intricately built. I started this book and couldn’t put it down until it was finished. Billionaires, mafia, RH, and fantasy. Sadie truly knows how to do it all! I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the story to unfold the whole book. So many twists and turns I would have never guessed!
Sadie, thank you thank you thank you for creating some of my best book boyfriends and my favorite books/couples. I never take being on the ARC team for granted, I pinch myself every time I get an ARC! Kate, thank you so much for being an amazing facilitator of the team and always being amazing!!! Wow!!! This book was not for the faint of heart. Which I’ve come to expect from Sadie Kincaid. But this one packs a punch and doesn’t hold back. From the very first page, I was hooked. It was a wild ride, and I couldn’t put it down!
It is the perfect example of a woman taking back what was stolen from her in so many ways. Lauren was incredibly strong, especially after everything she’d been through. I loved watching Sebastian help her reclaim the power that had been robbed from her at such a young age.
This story gives us a delicious age gap and, even better, a best friend’s dad trope! And Sebastian was one heck of a morally grey antihero, and together they had explosive chemistry, not just in the bedroom! She challenged him intellectually and emotionally, while he drew out her hidden desires and vulnerabilities. They couldn’t have been better matched.
The spice was absolute PERFECTION. Primal play, breath play, mirror play, CNC, and so much more. Sadie never fails to impress me with the way she writes her spice scenes! While this book was incredibly emotional, I absolutely loved how she handled Sebastian and Lauren’s relationship with so care and some unbelievable chemistry.
This book had me in a chokehold in the best way. I do suggest checking the trigger warnings if you're one that doesn't handle SA well, even off page this book covers some very sensitive conversations. But if that doesnt bother you, I highly suggest this book!

Holy moly heart of a devil is a willlllld ride, so buckle up buttercups because Seb and Lauren are one smoking hot couple!
Serial playboy Sebastian buys engagement rings like I buy books and is moving onto the next one just as quick when he meets his daughters friend and work colleague Lauren. Slowly but surely, despite neither having divulged their secrets before, they both open up about their equally awful and abusive childhoods. Lauren’s years of psychological abuse was heart wrenching and the isolation she had wrapped herself in as a protective measure was slowly undone by Sebastian. Not by doing anything to cage his fiesta independent woman but by listening to her, having her back and seeing her darkness as a thing of beauty. I also adored the many facets of Seb from a beast in the sheets, businessman to softie grandad and adoring partner. Seb and Lauren’s chemistry is absolutely off the charts hot and dirty as they both explore the sinful delights of each others bodies.
I love, love, love that we get to see Gabe and Samantha and how life is treating them, and of course Mr. Montoya himself (swoon). The interconnection of Sadie’s intricate world is glorious and I love that she lets us see glimpses of some of our favourite characters.

Serial playboy Sebastian buys engagement rings like I buy books and is moving onto the next one just as quick when he meets his daughters friend and work colleague Lauren. Slowly but surely, despite neither having divulged their secrets before, they both open up about their equally awful and abusive childhoods. Lauren’s years of psychological abuse was heart wrenching and the isolation she had wrapped herself in as a protective measure was slowly undone by Sebastian. Not by doing anything to cage his fiesta independent woman but by listening to her, having her back and seeing her darkness as a thing of beauty. I also adored the many facets of Seb from a beast in the sheets, businessman to softie grandad and adoring partner. Seb and Lauren’s chemistry is absolutely off the charts hot and dirty as they both explore the sinful delights of each others bodies.
I love, love, love that we get to see Gabe and Samantha and how life is treating them, and of course Mr. Montoya himself (swoon). The interconnection of Sadie’s intricate world is glorious and I love that she lets us see glimpses of some of our favourite characters.

I really tried but I’m sorry this was soooo bad
It was so slow to build the actual plot but so fast to start the sex. But we’re also supposed to believe they care about each other for some reason that I haven’t quite grasped.
This book had so much potential. Truly. A girl who grew up in a US mob family & a man who runs a UK mafia?? But no. Instead we had to choose to take that plot and convolute it and still make it boring

This book was a major red flag bundled up together. The FMC is Lauren. The MMC is Sebastian.
Lauren and Sebastian see each other at his daughter's (Samantha) party/gathering. They decide to go have sex, so they leave together. Sam is fine with her best friend having sex with her dad even tho her dad is a "manwhore". The two main characters are like "this is a bad idea but why not?"
Lauren names her vagina "Gloria" and her boobs "Louise" and "Thelma". - I don't get why people name parts of their bodies but each to their own so I ignored that even tho I found it weird.
She walks out on him as she doesn't want to wake up next to him. At this part in the book, I assumed it's cos of a dodgy ex or something? Or the creepy uncle she had. So continued reading.
They meet up again, have dinner. Bit of primal play scene. They fuck in his car while she's got her wrists zip tied together. Found this kinda hot but not really feeling it. Anyway, she then gets in a pissy with him because he offers her aftercare or at the bare minimum drive her home. He even says that he's got no intentions of going in with her after the time she left last time.
Page 139 - “Knickers!” she exclaims with childish delight. “One of my all-time favorite British-isms words.”
^ Tf you mean childish? This is a 33 year old woman right here. Also knickers isn't even that funny of a word. (I'm British)
Most annoying FMC scene:
67% - he's watching his grandchild and thinks about how he missed out on watching his daughter grow until she moved into his at 12. So he suggests to the fmc how they could have kids one day in the future, IF she's interested but not yet as it's too soon.
(They've been dating 3 weeks)
She then goes "I don't ever want to hear you talk about it again. In fact, don't even think about it."
So he goes "What? Why? And since when do you get to tell me what to think?"
She goes "Since you started making plans for my body, you chauvinistic asshole."
^ I could understand if he was demanding kids but he's suggesting the idea for future them!! He's not forcing her. He's not saying "have kids or we break up". Lauren's gotta shut tf up 🚩🚩
THEN she gets on a bus and lies to her cousins (Jax and Alejandro) that she's safe even though she's getting the bus home without any bodyguards.
^ She's been receiving threats hence their worry.
Her other cousin (Diego) then drags her into her apartment, threatens to kill Samantha and her baby. He then talks in full detail about how HOT she was at 11 YEARS OLD.
I don't care that he's a couple years younger than her. Talking in this level of detail about someone being hot at 11 YEARS OLD, especially now they're both 30+ is completely unreasonable and disgusting. He then tells her to remove her shirt to see if her breasts are still remotely the same as back then or he'll hurt her friend again.
Ultimately one of the worst books I've ever read.
I felt bad for Sebastian, he wanted a girl to love and settle down with. He had a harsh childhood and just wanted to care for people. Lauren tho I could not give a flying fuck about her.

This was one of my favourite Sadie Kincaid books, and I have read a lot of them.
You always know the type of book you're going to get with Sadie. You go in knowing that you're going to get a broody and grumpy MMC, and you know it's going to be a smutfest.
Even though her books are filled with spice, it's never too much! it's always the perfect balance.
This book was no exception.
Lauren - Guarded, professional, and traumatised from her past. The trauma didn't break her. It has made her stronger and fiercely independent.
Sebastian - Best friends dad, a grandad, serial relationship chaser, violent (never towards women and children), angry yet sweet, has childhood trauma and questionable morals. Sebastian is fiercely protective of those he loves and cares for.
These characters were perfect for each other. Sebastian has many kinks and damnnnnnn 🔥🔥🔥🔥 that man is hot!! His kinks help Lauren with her trauma. The material in this book won't be for everyone, and that's ok. His kinks are on the dark side, and although some might see them as questionable, Lauren was in control the whole time.
Yes, Sebastian may have seemed aggressive during the fantasies, but that's exactly what they were, fantasies. It was a way for Lauren to give up control and let go, but to also know that she was in control the whole time. As soon as Lauren wanted it to stop, it would have.
The storyline of Lauren being a lawyer and trying to help women who were being beaten and/or r*ped by their partners was so good. Lauren was helping these people, and in turn, it was helping her with her own experiences.
This was well written. I loved all the other characters, such as Sam, Gabriel, Tyler, and Sascha. They all worked well together, and all brought their own stories of their past.

A literal whirlwind of a romance.
Sadie Kincaid's Heart of a Devil was definitely a journey. A romance that was based on an intriguing and complex plot filled with lots of twists. A cocktail of action, affection, and adrenaline.
Of course, in the usual fashion for a Sadie Kincaid novel, the smut was immaculate. The almost taboo-ish relationship of the couple was not "sexualized" regarding the age gap. However, some situations gave the impression of hypersexuality, which made me a little uncomfortable, but that might just be me. Moreover, the relationship that Lauren and Sebastian felt was "rushed" with lots of ups and downs, so it was not too compelling to me. Regardless, I had a great time, and the book was amazing. I will totally read the rest of the series.

The Queen has done it again. This is definitely one of, if not, the darkest of Sadie’s books, so please read those trigger warnings. If you’re still reading after those, then buckle up as you’re in for a hell of a ride.
Sebastian & Lauren have both have traumatic pasts, & this is a massive barrier for Lauren. But Sebastian knows what he wants, & he’s not letting her go. The way they come together, share their deepest, darkest secrets & build on them is really beautiful to experience.
Sebastian has one of the filthiest mouths, & Lauren is a very lucky girl! Sadie really went above & beyond with the spice between these two very kinky MC’s, & I was totally there for it all!
Sam & Gabe from London Ruthless book 1 are featured heavily, no surprises there considering Samantha is Sebastian’s daughter AND Lauren’s best friend! However we are also treated to appearances from LA & the Montoyas, with Lauren being their cousin.
This book pulled me in, chewed me up & spat me out. I loved all the plot twists which kept me guessing, trying to figure out which direction we were headed only to be hit with a curveball. But a warning - once you start reading Seb & Lauren’s story, it’ll keep you on your toes & holding your breath right up until you’ve finished the epilogues.

Lauren and Sebastian’s story is one I wanted ever since I finished the London Ruthless books, Dark Angel and Fallen Angel. Sebastian was delicious, tough, and surprisingly soft for his woman.
