The Billionaire Wedding Guest: A Standalone

Rate this book
This weekend I was asked to be a bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding. After arriving at the resort, I caught the elevator to the second floor with the man of the hour who was not the groom but his rich older brother, Stone.
Stone Alexander had a tall muscular build, chiseled jawline, and beautiful eyes which means he is out of my league. Every female here wants a piece of him, and they do not care what secrets he may hold up in his penthouse suite.

The storyline was simply

I tried really hard to like and enjoy this story. I will admit, I had to do a lot of skimming and skipping to finish this one. It was a decent read.

It was okay. I would have liked more depth into Kelli to understand why she allowed herself to be a doormat for so long instead of standing up for herself from the beginning. We got small glimpses in reference to her mom but I would have liked knowing more about their dynamics especially for her mom to sleep with her boyfriend. Kelli was too dismissive of the fact that Stone and Rebecca spent the night together especially when he was supposedly courting Kelli. And needed an update on Harper like a missing person report or something.

This book was wonderful. I'm dad it was a standalone but all books can't be series. Stone is a strong and smart well calculated man. I love angel and Kelli but that Rebecca lol too funny. Just check this book out you definitely won t be disappointed

A fire must-read

What an awesome five-star standalone. This romantic read of drama, jealousy, and toxic friendships and the soft scenes of love betrayals and understanding won't let you put it down till the last kiss. I guarantee that you'll enjoy this masterpiece.

Well!

This was not my best read. The story left out details that could have contribute to understanding the character. For example, a clear explanation between the dynamics with Stone and his father and not the origin of their strained relationship. Also, the story of Kelli and her mother all we heard about was her mother’s betrayal. How as a mother did that betrayal come to be? Did she resent her daughter and wanted to hurt her? Just a question the book left unanswered.

The story lacked the engaging drama that I am accustomed to reading. This was not my worst read but lacked in many aspects of writing a book to obtained five stars. However, as an avid reader I am always committed to finishing a book once I start, but at points in this book it was a struggle to finish. There were points I became bored.

I enjoyed how the author provided readers with a different perspective of wealthy men only desiring women who look like professional models or are models.

The book highlighted that inner beauty is more important than what’s on the surface when selecting a spouse. That was a deep concept very few authors portray, its alway the women gets the rich guy because she is so gorgeous. For that I gave this book a two and a half that I rounded up to three.

I have read several books by this author that I really enjoyed and gave high marks. I just think this book did not speak to me as a reader no fault of the author.

A short story, with multiple viewpoints, some unnecessary, and some interesting. Most of the characters seemed very surface level, some of the tension and strife appeared unwarranted and never resolved.

Stone is a big question mark. Some of his actions are questionable while others are cute and even sweet. Stone's "everyone wants me," personality was very...blah. While he is described and describes himself as the black sheep and or quiet one, he somewhat enjoys the attention, but on a small scale.

Kelli's inner monologue was annoying from the beginning and it was frustrating that she allowed herself to be happy because of how someone else treated her. Granted, towards the end, Kelli really found her voice and backbone, it all seemed a little too late.

Overall, an okay storyline. Most actions were highly questionable, Kelli makes a decision towards the end that made me discredit her prior stance, while Stone's actions after the pivot pissed me off. Yes, this was a HEA, but I question if it really should have been.

good read

I love how Stone loved Kelli. I knew he purchased Pink Express! I’m glad she went to Angel and Brad’s wedding and had that mix up with her room. Rebecca thought she had one up on Kelli… wrong lol! He just used her because she threw that cat at him. He really was feeling Kelli and eventually got her. Wesley did right by apologizing and telling Kelli what she did. I wish Stone would have made amends with Farmer, but his death didn’t seem to cause too much turmoil in his life. Glad Angel took the necessary steps to be a good stepmother. As always, I enjoyed this book Lavish!

3.5 ⭐️

This was an okay read. I guess I had to try to get into it. I loved Kelli's personality, I just wished she spoke up for herself more when people came at her. Stone was a different type of breed. I like him and what he stood for. And Kelli was the right one to change his outlook on life, love, and marriage. I couldn't stand Rebecca and glad Stone pretty much let her know looks can't get you everything you want. Angel and Brad were kind of boring but I will say I'm glad Brad put his foot down about his daughter being in the wedding. Angel keeping his daughter a secret was ridiculous especially if you had forgiven him and wanted to marry him still. Okay standalone

true bliss

I love the chill characteristics of Kelli and Stone but also that they bring each other’s true selves to the surface. I believe Stone got a piece of closure from his father and learning a bit of empathy while Kelli learned to stand up for herself. I believe they’ll both help each other build these qualities even stronger. I applaud Angel for the process of accepting Madelyn and Brad for standing his ground on her doing so without it being more so forced from either party. Their love, though not perfect, set the tone for the spark Kelli and Stone needed

Great read

The story was engaging and well-crafted, though I felt the ending came too quickly. I would have loved to delve deeper into Rebecca's emotions once she learned that Kelli emerged victorious. It would have been fascinating to explore Angel's interactions with Maddy, as their dynamic seemed rich with potential. Additionally, I was left wondering about Brad—did he truly indulge in smoking and snorting? Overall, it was an enjoyable read that sparked my curiosity in several key moments.

This short story really was a cute one, and it did a great job showing how the underdog really does win in the end.

Stone was definitely wrong for messing with Rebecca, but he gave her exactly what she asked for, a one‑night stand and nothing more. What bothered me was that he did it knowing he had real feelings for Kelli, especially after the moment they shared right before.

So much happened in this book that I can’t even describe how the storyline was/went. Just know every couple has there issues and with time things can change for the better and/or worse.

Great Read

I can truly say that I wasn't expecting this to go like it did. Angel and Brad seem like awesome people and a cute couple. I hope Brad grows a pair of balls because I wanted to hurt him a few times. Rebecca is a hater to the core, and she got used. She knew it would happen. Kelli is one of my spirit characters. Always take care of someone else before ourselves. Stone is a dream man despite the almost second murder. I would recommend this book to others

Loved it!

This is my first book by the the author and I’m happy to say I enjoyed it. It’s a bit messy but in a good way. I laughed at some parts and screamed “I know that ho didn’t” at others but I can definitely say that I was entertained by it all. I will be reading more books by Black Lavish.

You did the darn thing with this book. You never disappoint. I absolutely loved it from the very beginning. I hope we get a wedding book in the future and please invite Rebecca. This is most definitely a must read. You deserve more than 5 stars. I highly recommend it.

ok read

I enjoyed the story. I wished Keli stood up more for yourself against Rebeca bc she was such a mean girl. I font care how beautiful someone is if your character is ugly so are you. I didn’t understand why we had to get the pov of Rebecca, Angel, and Brad. To me that could’ve been left out.

The Billionaire Wedding Guest

This story started off slow but it got interesting Angel's cousin was a hater and thought the world reminds around cause of her looks and status. I was Brad realized what drugs do to you and Angel realizing she must accept Brad's daughter in order to have a successful marriage and lastly Kellie was able to overcome her insecurity about herself.

Baby this book was so good! I love that stone opened up to love. Sad that his father waited for him to be on his death bed to really tell his son he loves him. I can’t wait for your next book you never disappoint!

Great read

Plain Jane. That is Kelli. One weekend in New York with her best friend and her hating cousin Rebecca and she ends up with the one man Rebecca wants. Stone! I mean they say opposites attract and I love the way he bossed her up in the end only if I could see Rebecca’s reaction.

Never Been In Love

This was more of a mystery romance story. I enjoyed the mess that was created by Stone. I loved the fact that his father called to tell him I Love You Son and then died. Kelli was his match for love.

Billionaire with some secrets

This was an interesting story. I Stone and Kelli seemed to be perfect for each other. All parties involved in this wedding have some serious secrets that need to be revealed in another book.

Trash

There is no excitement at all in this book. An author should care more about their audience than I’m going to cancel my Kindle subscription because lately the books on here are trash!

Secrets!

This is my first read by this author. It seemed that everyone but Kelli was keeping secrets. I did feel bad for Harper, he didn’t have to go out like that. I’m happy Angel started to get help and Brad put his foot down.

ugh

This book felt extremely extremely rushed and left me the ones in more in every aspect. I don’t know what to say other than I don’t think this is a book. I will read it a second time.

awwwww

I loved this story from beginning to end. The only thing it was missing, was Rebecca’s reaction when she realized he chose Kelli and not her. Maybe a meltdown when she realized Stone was kissing Kelli while the bride and groom were whisked off.

good read

This was a good read. Stone was still a little touched! It sucked at his dad died! I would’ve liked to hear with Angel said about the baby two people who didn’t know
