The past, the present, the future …. Who’s to say they can’t be changed?

Deep in the South American Rainforest, two ancient tribes lived side by side, hidden from the eyes of the world for millennia. In 1920 a charismatic explorer upended their clandestine existence, though, pulling back the cloak, and charming his way into one of their camps. His intrusion shook the foundation of their Eden and pitted the two tribes against each other, kicking off a chain of events that would alter the fate of the world.

Eighteen years later, across the ocean in a picturesque German village, one of Fate’s far-reaching ripples hit like a tsunami. A Nazi soldier and a Jewish refugee were caught in the undertow. It would seem as if Fate had dealt them the knockout blow, but sixty years later, when the they were near life’s end, a mysterious, private invitation to a secret, resort-style, research institute in the rainforest, led them back to the place where if all began.

With a staff of mysterious origins, lavish accommodations, and science fiction technology, it just may be the perfect place to wrangle Fate – but will it be too late?

Born to teenage parents, Ali Mignonne’s childhood was brimming with youthful fun and energy. Add four younger siblings and a neighborhood crawling with kids, and she had the recipe for adventures day and night. Summers were spent playing elaborate games of hide-and-seek, conducting top-secret meetings in the playhouse, and ziplining through the trees in her creek-side backyard. Like so many beautiful things, it was a vibrant, charmed childhood tainted with life’s bitter realities. Untimely deaths, religious turmoil, a near-death experience, and a stroke when she was twenty shaped Ali’s character and destiny. From this beautiful, tragic beginning grew a powerful imagination and a drive to create worlds that capture that childhood magic.

Ali paints highly textured, sculptural trees in magical settings as a professional artist. She uses bright, rich colors and profoundly moving imagery to evoke a sense of wonder. Ali carries this feeling into her writing, combining mystery, history, science fiction, and romance into a vivid, literary work of art. Ali’s characters emerge from the pages, grab hold of you, and pull you into the story. Readers often express the sentiment that they wish they never had to leave.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Tangled Fates" by Ali Mignonne. After the first few pages, she definitely had my attention and I wanted to see where the story would take me. It doesn't disappoint.

I think the plot is extremely clever and very entertaining. I would encourage anyone to read this book that is considering it.

Powerful Story But Terrible Editing

This is an incredible story. Romance, adventure and Sci-Fi all combined in a flowing tale of the connections between people and the effects of everyone's actions on all the others.
It starts in Hitler's Germany with a young Jewish girl who meets and falls in love with a German SS soldier. Then flashes into the future where an incredible city in the Amazon jungle lies hidden under a green filter light ray. In Imag- Ine (long second i) people of brilliance and talent are given the chance to make their dreams come true. It's a fantastic place with every possible amenity.
But, behind it all is the ripple effect of earlier lives and actions that impact those in the future.
It truly is a great story. Sometimes it's predictable, but that's okay in this setting.
However, the editing is VERY BAD. I found over 30 glaring errors. It drives me nuts to find mistakes in any book and this one has a multitude.
Still the story is powerful, compelling and engaging. It's certainly worth the read.
It would also make an awesome movie.

"Tangled Fates" by author Ali Mignonne is an amazing read ... once I got into it, I found it hard to lay aside. It took me through an exciting journey of time and geographical locations as well as history, since much of the action happened in Europe during WWII. Ali tells the tale of Nazi oppression, of fear and the struggle to survive, as well as the budding of romance in the middle of a world gone mad. Just as all ends are about to be tied-up, THEN the second half of the book begins. I won't add any spoilers here, and it's hard to do that while describing the book, so down-load it for yourself on KINDLE and find a comfortable chair with a good pot of coffee nearby, because this book will appeal to many. Two Thumbs up !

This book gets 5 stars for being so creative. I really did have a hard time putting it down. Like other reviewers I did notice a few editing issues, which can be distracting when you're reading a book. However there weren't enough to dissuade me from finishing it!
This book goes back and forth from pat to present, and also character to character, so make sure you're paying attention!
The "Tangled Fates" within the story got slightly too tangled at one point. Toward the end I got confused and I think SOME of the characters could have been edited out. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the story !

Mediocre

This book has a good story line however it seemed that no one edited the book. The sentence's were mixed up and many words were misspelled. I suppose the jumping back and forth was necessary but it was confusing for the first half of the book. It is not one of my favorites but I am glad I read this book if only for the fictional history of a family from Nazi Germany.

I enjoyed it because I had no idea where it would lead me and it was a different formula than most. Enjoyable. And you can tell the author did her historical homework and has one vivid imagination.
