A Trespass of Angels #2

Sins of the Fallen

The past has claws. And she just woke it up.Petra never asked to be connected to ancient oaths, the fallen sons of Heaven, or a sigil that won't stop haunting her.

What starts as a search for answers turns into a race against an ancient cover-up, a missing dig team, and a dangerously charming academic who may or may not be the devil.

Some secrets are meant to stay buried.
She’s about to dig them up anyway.

If you love ancient conspiracies, fallen angel tech, and a heroine who’s just trying to do the right thing while everything falls apart—A Trespass of Angels is for you. This series blends urban fantasy pacing with supernatural thriller tension, layered with biblical lore, elemental magic, and one very loyal hacker who refuses to quit. Inspired by the apocrypha, powered by sarcasm, bad decisions, and divine fire. Perfect for fans of Cassandra Clare, Marie Lu, and readers who like their romance clean but their stakes cosmic.

Watch this space for updates. You’re going to want front-row seats when the sins start surfacing.

Audiobook review: The dual narration was fantastic! Both of the narrators had excellent voices, conveying the correct emotions appropriately with clear pronunciation.

Story review: This book was different from what I expected; but that doesn't mean it wasn't good, as it was. I really enjoyed it! The time travel element was the difference and the author has proven she can successfully add that genre to her successful writing achievements.

Petra escaped her captivity in book 1 by vanishing back in time. As she seeks her ancestry origins, she sees many visions involving angels and demons. She uses her knowledge from her history lessons to gain acceptance and a job with an archeological team. Will her being from the future change history? Will she be able to travel back to her time and how? Will she get her powers back, does she want them back? So many questions with no answers.

The characters are all well written and in this world you can expect many unusual stories and outcomes. I am anxiously awaiting the final volume in this exciting series.

I received a free audible copy of this book via StoryOrigin and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

What a wild ride! Loved this book! Knorr kept me entertained and guessing the entire read. I love Petra's trip to the past...no more spoilers, I promise. I was immersed in the archeology, the period costumes, the almost all male archeological dig! The research to write this book had to be daunting, but the story line was seamless and looked like Knorr herself had lived in this time period. The subtle romance, the paradox potential, the way Petra tried to achieve her goals...all lead to a great story. I highly recommend this book. And yes...I am now wanting the third in the trilogy to be released. Usually the second book of a trilogy is weak, but not this book. For me it's a toss up as to whether "Sins of the Fallen" or the first book "Shadows of the Fallen" is better. They both read very well!

In this second book of the series, we join Petra where we left off. She is in the desert, alone and without her powers. She knows that she has to find her origin and she is short on time to find the team who will be digging where that history will be found and before the earthquake she knows is coming will bury what she needs to find. The story is full of personalities and action. Seeing that history through her eyes and experiences is fascinating. In the book we also find out about the sins of the fallen, which gave the book its name. A really good continuation!

OMG this was so good as we dive back into this incredible world and rejoin Petra on one hell of a journey to finds her origins, to learn who and what she truly is. It’s intense as Petra has many obstacles to face and decisions to make as the author continues to throw twists and turns and more surprises in our path. The suspense builds and builds and the action has you holding your breath and on the edge of your seat as this incredible read demands your attentIon and holds you captive from start to finish. I cannot wait for the next book!

Wow n I mean wow Abby 😍💕 this book has just wowed me. In comparison to book one with Petra and Jessie literally on tenterhooks on a fast paced massive roller coaster. This book has been an immense world building book with so much info that was desperately needed for petra to understand herself and her lineage. I absolutely devoured every sentence with reverence. I absolutely love your work. I can’t wait for the next book and always you left us with another cliff hanger noooo !

Once again I was left speechless and wanting more of the story. The historical research on this book was amazing. It’s a good thing Petra is who she is, most 21st Century girls wouldn’t have survived in 1905. Once she has the answers she was looking for there is so much to unpack. I was left wanting to know who Connie was and if she will make an appearance in the next book. As usual, the book leave you waiting to see what will happen next.

Amazement Throughout

This book is all about Petra and her sojourn when she time traveled from book one to 1905/1906. The amazing parts really get to the apex with her series of visions on her quest to know who she really is. The epilogue clearly sets the stage for book three.
