COLE

I don’t believe in fate. I believe in contracts, control, and never trusting a woman twice. Then turbulence hits, and the terrified beauty gripping my hand rewrites every rule I live by.

She kisses me at baggage claim. We spend one reckless, unforgettable night together then I wake up alone. No number. No last name. Just a nickname and a ghost I can’t find—no matter how hard I search.

Weeks later, I see her again. She runs like I’m the one who disappeared. Then I match with CodeBreaker on a faceless dating app. The connection is instant. Addictive. I don’t realize I’m falling for the same woman twice.

YASMINE

One panic attack. One stranger who makes me feel safe. One night I never meant to repeat.

Until I'm assigned to develop an app for Hart Law and come face-to-face with Cole Hart—the man from the plane… and the man behind my app match who I have built a connection with.

I tell him we can’t date. Conflict of interest. But fate isn’t done with us. Especially not when I have more than one secret I am keeping from him.

One Liner: Low-stakes insta-lust

Cole doesn’t believe in fate, only in contracts and control. After a turbulent flight and a night with an intriguing woman, he tries to find her without success. Weeks later, he sees her only for her to run away. Then, he matches with someone named CodeBreaker on a faceless dating app (who happens to be the same mystery woman).

Yasmine doesn’t expect to come face-to-face with Cole when she agrees to build an app for Hart Law and matches with him on a dating app. Can they find their HEA together?

The story is told through Cole and Yasmine’s first-person POVs.

My Thoughts

This is the last book in the series, but it should work as a standalone. A part of the story occurs in parallel to the previous book, but focuses on the events in the MCs’ lives, so there shouldn’t be any confusion even if you didn’t read that one.

The book almost follows the author’s template, but is less dramatic and doesn’t have a third-act breakup. The spice is strong as ever, so consider it 3.5+ or close to 4.

The first few chapters are interesting, though. The FMC has panic attacks when the plane takes off and lands, so the MMC helps her manage them. At least, she doesn’t have motion sickness! I doubt it would have been this romantic if she had thrown up on him.

A small portion of the story occurs through chats, which was fun to read. That said, it also requires some suspension of belief, since the characters should have connected the dots based on the info they share. Anyhoo, once they do, they don’t make a mess of it, so it’s not a big deal.

The MCs are easy enough to like. They are fun, talented, and good people. I did wonder if the FMC was being a little too good in one aspect, but it worked well during the last quarter.

There still is some drama, of course. Not what I expected, which was actually good. I shouldn't probably be watching those ultra-dramatic verticals, lol.

The book ends on a bittersweet note, something I was rather afraid of, but it had to be that way. Still, there have been many happy moments throughout the series.

To summarize, Breaking His Code is a low-stakes spicy romance with kind and sweet characters. It may feel a bit bland to those who like angsty books, but I liked it.

Thank you, NetGalley and Boldwood Books, for the eARC. This review is voluntary and contains my honest opinion about the book.

Breaking his code

If you're into instant attraction, then Insta-love within a span of a few weeks, maybe you'd enjoy this. There's not much to the plot, honestly, but I want to have some reading that doesn't need much brain cells.

So the plot goes:

— Yasmine/Nina (29) and Cole (32) met on the plane; they were seatmates. Cue instant attraction. She was afraid of takeoff and landing, so he calmed her both times.
— After they landed, they agreed to spend the night. They did it without protection for him because she assured him she was on the pill. Also, it has been a year for her and three years for him since their last action.
— The next day, her mom got an emergency, so she had to leave. She left him a note giving her reason and also telling him to call her since he has her number.
— The day after tomorrow, she's waiting for the call that didn't come because he lost her number.
— Anyway, two weeks (???) went by. He tried anything to find her, but without her last name, that task became quite difficult.
— They met again at a bar, but she ran away from him, thinking he was just another liar.
— Then they both joined a dating app that she created. Her assistant matched her with him, but she didn't know that. He only joined because his friend told him to. He's also hoping that maybe she's on the app.
— They matched and talked for weeks. (??? I swear I'm confused about the timeline). They both thought they were moving on, but at the back of their minds, they were still thinking about each other.
— Then his company hired a software company to build a project for them, and she's the project lead for that. They met on that day, and this was also the moment she pieced together everything that he's her match. I'm glad this didn't drag on and she told him right away.
— So he pursued her, never letting go this time, and after it was just all their lovey-dovey moments.
— As for the conflict, Yasmine's father's about to get married, and this is her first time meeting her supposed stepmom. It turns out, the woman was Cole's ex-girlfriend who cheated on him with his best friend. There was a one-night separation because the ex acted like Cole wronged her. Cole didn't tell the truth, nor did Yasmine, because that's not her story to tell. Her father bought the act and kicked Cole out. He respected that and felt relieved at the same time, because he would rather not be in the vicinity of his ex.
— The next morning, his family made sure to make him stop being stupid and to tell Yasmine's dad about what a witch the woman he was about to marry is.
— Anyway, things got discovered. Oh, and also Yasmine got pregnant from their ONS. She was about to tell him before the drama with the ex happened.
— The epilogue was technically a year later if you compute all the time jumps. Cole's family was celebrating their father's birthday, and later that night, he passed away peacefully in his sleep. The end.

Ngl, some things were a bit repetitive. And if you're wondering if he still loves his ex or if he even loved her, he said he thought he did that time but then realized after the fallout that it wasn't love at all. My impression was that he tolerated and enabled her even though all the red flags were waving. He dated other people but couldn't bring himself to sleep with them because he needed a connection and trust to do that. But his trust was ruined by the betrayal of his ex-gf and ex-bff.

They're both relationship types of people, which I truly loved! 🥰 They both got some of their first times, such as instant connection with someone, having ONS, and even going bare. 😅

I feel like the accidental pregnancy was just accepted easily by Cole. I thought there would be some processing because when they talked about having kids, he was sure they didn't want them right away, but when Yasmined dropped the bomb, he was just thrilled about it.

Anyway, this has become a long ramble. But yeah, the story was okay. A good palate cleanser for me.

It’s Book 3 in The Billionaire Hart Brothers series — a spicy contemporary romance. Cole Hart meets Yasmine on a flight, then reconnects anonymously on a dating app… only to find she’s the tech expert now working for his firm.

Strong chemistry, fun secret‑identity/workplace tension, sharp dialogue, fits well within the series.

Enjoyable, steamy, and fast‑paced — perfect if you love this genre.

I am a big fan of the Billionaire Hart Brothers series, and I've been eagerly awaiting this next instalment. And it blew me away! I think all men are spoiled for me now I've "met" Cole Hart. Holy moly. What a man! And Yasmine? I want to be her when I grow up. She is bada**. Together? They light a flame so hot it could rival the Sun.

When Cole Hart discovers a passenger with plane anxiety is sat next to him, his first reaction is of disdain. But as she works herself up, he feels like he should try and help. And when he sees her face? He's lost. After years of swiping and not finding the connection he requires, he's found her. He promises to call after a very spicy night in an airport hotel... But loses her number. Which, for a hotshot lawyer who deals with sensitive information, is a serious rookie error. His desperation to find her will tug on your heartstrings - this big, strong, tattooed man with a rockstar edge is brought to his knees with a need to find her. Even whilst he's on the Wildcard app, talking to CodeBreaker, he can't stop thinking about her, despite making a connection with this stranger (I think you can all work out where that arc heads...). His pure joy when he sees her at Hart Law radiates off the page - it is infectious and you couldn't be more happy for him. This man has lived his life by the rules and would never believe in love at first sight - yet it's hit him and he accepts it with the widest open arms. He knows unequivocally that she is the one - there's no way he will accept a life without her. He showers her with love and kindness, and ensures her every need is taken care of (particularly in the bedroom!). I need a Cole Hart please Universe, if you're listening!

Introducing herself on the plane as Mina, Yasmine doesn't expect a total stranger, especially a very hot stranger, to come to her aid mid panic attack. But he gets right under her skin, and they spend a night together that blows her mind. When she ducks out early due to an emergency, she fully expects him to call - and when he doesn't, she's furious. Yasmine is a super intelligent computer programmer and app designer, so her focus switches to her new dating app, Wildcard. She's determined it will launch worldwide and be a huge success. What she doesn't expect is her coworker to sign her up. As she chats to Flyguy, she starts to feel her heart heal a little, missing the subtle clues that he's the same man who let her down. When she turns up at Hart Law and spots Cole, her fury rises - and she puts the clues together. Once he convinces her that it was an honest disaster, she knows her heart is all in. Slightly less of a follower of the rules, nevertheless she isn't prepared for love at first sight - yet she still throws herself all in. I cannot tell you how much I loved the character of Yasmine. A rock chick with a classic car, who'll do anything for her Mum, hugely intelligent with a lot of drive and focus - what a woman. I'll say it again - I would like to be like her when I grow up.

The cameos from the other brothers and their partners are quite low in this book, which I feel works well as it gives the reader that immersive experience of the instant connection that Cole and Yasmine share. The backstories of Cole's previous relationship breakdown, and Yasmine's IP theft are studded throughout, with spectacular resolutions that will leave you beaming.

It would be remiss of me not to mention the final chapter and the epilogue of this book. Things come full circle, and the epilogue is devastating in it's power. I didn't expect the epilogue to go where it did, and although it is heart wrenching, it is written with such compassion and beauty that I shed a tear. Wonderful stuff from VH Nicolson.

I devoured this book, enjoying absolutely every second, from instant connection to separate desperate longing and utter fury, to reconnecting without realising it, to another meet-cute, and finally the development of a relationship that is fast and frantic, yet feels perfectly right. Cole Hart has set yet another impossible standard for the women who read his story, and Yasmine? Just an absolute idol. Together? Perfection.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to review this book!

VH Nicolson has done it again! As a long-time fan of her work, I was eagerly anticipating the fourth instalment in The Billionaire Hart Brothers series, and Breaking His Code absolutely delivered. Nicsoleson has a signature talent for crafting emotionally rich, character-driven romances that balance sizzling chemistry with genuine heart, and this book is a shining example of her expertise.

The story follows Cole Hart, a billionaire who lives by strict rules, contracts, and control, firmly believing that fate is a myth and trusting a woman twice is a mistake. His rigid world firmly believes that fate is a myth and trusting a woman twice is a mistake. His rigid world is turned upside down during a turbulent flight when a terrified stranger, Yasmine, grips his hand. What follows is a reckless, unforgettable night that ends with Cole waking up alone, haunted by the memory of a woman whose real name he doesn't even know.

Yasmine, on the other hand, never intended to repeat that night. But fate has a funny way of intervening. When she is assigned to develop an app for Hart Law, she comes face-to-face with Cole, the man from the plane, and unbeknownst to him, the man she had been building a deep connection with on a faceless dating app under the moniker "CodeBreaker."

The dual-timeline connection-both in person and through the app-adds a delicious layer of tension and anticipation to the narrative. Nicolson masterfully weaves the "falling for the same person twice" trope, creating a dynamic where the emotional stakes are incredibly high. The chemistry between Cole and Yasmine is palpable from their very first encounter, and the slow burn of their evolving relationship kept me turning the pages late into the night.

What I love most about Nicolson's writing is her ability to create multifaceted characters. Cole is the quintessential billionaire romance hero-brooding, controlled, and fiercely protective-but his vulnerability when it comes to Yasmine makes him incredibly endearing. Yasmine is a strong, relatable heroine who is dealing with her own secrets and fears, making her journey toward love and trust all the more compelling.

The settling, as always with Nicolson's books, is vividly described, adding depth and atmosphere to the story. Whether it's the high-stakes corporate world of Hart Law or the intimate moments shared between the characters, the world-building is immersive and engaging.

Breaking His Code is a spicy, swoony, and addictive read that perfectly balances angst, passion, and emotional depth. It is a fantastic addition to The Billionaire Hart Brothers series, though it can easily be enjoyed as a standalone. If you are a fan of billionaire romances with a touch of fate, hidden identities, and explosive chemistry, this book is an absolute must-read.

VH Nicolson continues to solidify her place as a top-tier romance author, and I cannot wait to see what she writes next!

And there we have it.. the final story in this amazing series featuring the Hart brothers. Vicki has yet again delivered in Cole's story as I was addicted from the get go!

Cole and Mina are scheduled on the same flight, from LA to San Fran, sitting next to each other. Mina is an anxious flyer who ends up having a panic attack during take off, but Cole manages to distract her, whilst easing her symptoms. Their conversation soon turns into flirty banter and with an undeniable current running between them, Cole and Mina are left questioning what comes next for them.

After an unforgettable night together and a promise from Cole to call Mina, he ends up losing her number. Frantic and frustrated with having no other means to contact Mina, he even goes as far as placing a missed connection notice in the local paper. With no further leads weeks later, Cole has no choice but to move on and try to 'forget' about Mina.

With some convincing from Libby, Cole reluctantly signs up on Wildcard - a dating app different from the norm. Matches are simply formed via personal values, whilst conversations are made in the attempt to know the other person first, before photos are exchanged.

Yet, fate has other ideas when Cole is automatically matched with the designer and brains behind Wildcard, which coincidentally also happens to be Mina. They hit it off (once again) and their connection is instantaneous. It's not until Mina sees Cole again in a professional setting that makes her question the many similarities between him and the mysterious man on the Wildcard app. They couldn't possibly be the same person, right?!? 🫣

Cole and Mina together was literally kismet. I loved how their initial connection defied logic - how a stranger could also feel like someone you've known for much longer. Mina was such a loyally fierce, strong and hardworking individual who you cannot help but admire! She gives her all to care for her sick mother, whilst balancing a full time job and creating an app on the side to bankroll her mom's medical fees. Cole is Mina's perfect type in every way, but she resists falling for him. She thinks he's too perfect to be true, but Cole time and time again shows up for her - not because she ask him to but because he wanted to 🫠

Cole is a charming, funny and hopeless romantic at heart, who tries to not let his previous betrayal impede his chances of finding true love - someone just for him. When he meets Mina, he is smitten, doubling down as she literally becomes his obsession. He isn't afraid to show her how he really feels, nor does he shy away from hard conversations. Cole is just the perfect green flag boyfriend, who was not just easy on the eyes but loved with his whole being! I adored him and Mine together and their little surprise was just the ultimate cherry on top!! 😍

However, please remember to get your tissues ready for the epilogue! I didn't think it would hit me that hard but what an end to a wonderful series! 💗

Thank you so much to Vicki, Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read this story in advance. All thoughts and opinions are my own 🫶🏻

3 Spice🌶️

Certain romances thrive on the chemistry between their characters. Breaking His Code is one example of this. I was so smitten with Cole and Mina that I neglected all of my Saturday chores and savored spending a whole day on this incredible flight with them. Oh, and Cole just rudely kicked Max out as my favorite book in the series.

Breaking His Code is the fourth and final book in The Billionaire Hart Brothers series. This charming romance novel, which explores the idea of fate and destiny in love, follows the story of Cole Hart, an estate lawyer and one of the co-owners of Hart Law, and Yasmine "Mina" Montgomery, a successful software developer.

Cole and Mina are two strangers who met by chance on a flight from California to San Francisco. Their brief but magical connection started when Cole helped Mina relieve her anxiety about flying throughout their journey, which led to a whirlwind of flirting, a one-night stand, and Cole ended up losing Mina's number the next morning.
Unable to let go of Mina, Cole made a few frantic attempts to locate her but was unsuccessful. He decided to move on and join a well-known dating app that was created by Mina herself after realizing that the situation was hopeless, inadvertently putting himself on a direct road to her.

Vicky has crafted a tale that sweeps readers through fate and time. The aspects of slow burn, insta-lust/love, and meet-cute are simply balanced to create a story that captivates readers from start to finish.

Cole is a tattooed lawyer who wears his heart on his sleeve. Behind the sexy, powerful, and magnetic persona is a man still recovering from a betrayal that left him questioning his self-worth.
Mina is an embodiment of a fierce woman with independence, hard work, and devotion. She is a formidable force because she is aware of her worth and defies stereotypes with her self-assurance.
Cole and Mina have a deep and passionate connection, and they also have similar views on relationships and their love for their families. Another aspect of this book that I really enjoyed.
The rest of the Hart Brothers add humour and warmth to the plot, while the story behind Mina's family adds a touch of drama. That epilogue, too? It was the ideal approach to conclude this series and came full circle.

At its heart, Breaking His Code is a heartwarming tale about the power of destiny and the importance of trusting in life's unexpected twists. It also reminds us that true love will find its way, no matter the odds, and that sometimes, the most extraordinary relationships are the ones that happen by chance.

Receiving a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book was an honour, and I'm presenting my candid opinion based on my own experience. I am eternally grateful to VH Nicolson, Boldwood Books, and NetGalley for entrusting me with the opportunity to read this book beforehand.

A billionaire lawyer covered in tattoos with a heart of gold who's obsessed with the woman he loves? Sign me up!!

Cole and Mina were strangers who met on a flight from LA to SF where Cole became Mina's calming presence through her intense fear of flying. After one night together which led to expectations and feelings but no phone call from Cole, Mina wanted nothing to do with him. Then they were matched on a dating app, one that Mina had designed. They had an amazing connection but had no idea who they were actually talking to.

What happens when two broken souls find the one person they can picture forever with? What does it mean to be someone’s everything? Is it enough to move on from past betrayals?

Cole was every bit as delicious as I expected him to be, effortlessly sexy, persistent, all in when it came to Mina, truthful and honest. A walking green flag who just wanted to be loved for the man he was. It touched my heart how he cared for Mina, how he showed up for her unconditionally and the love he had for his father and brothers. It pained me to learn why he was relationship averse as he sought out intimacy and trust.

Cue the advice from Cole's brothers and their love interests and I was completely entertained. And when Cole's past and present unexpectedly collided, bringing heartache and bad memories, I was fully invested.

Mina was my favorite type of FMC, independent and driven, defying stereotypes, devoted to helping her mom without help from her wealthy father. I loved how Mina wasn't afraid to ask for anything with Cole in the bedroom, how she longed to be wanted and desired. It was also fascinating to watch her in action with her career.

Even though I loved so much about this book, it didn't completely resonate with me. I genuinely don't care for instant attraction and I didn't find the one between Cole and Mina to be totally believable. Cole fell hard and fast but I couldn't envision their connection until very late in the book. And while I loved the idea of destined lovers and fate, the way they repeatedly crossed paths seemed too coincidental and rather unlikely to occur.

That being said, I really do enjoy this author's writing and the heartfelt and emotional epilogue brought the entire series together beautifully. I haven't read the first two books since I started with book three so I'm looking forward to reading more about Nathan and Max.

If you enjoy instant attraction stories and the following tropes, you'll love this book!

✨️One Night Stand
✨️Dating App Match
✨️Fate/Destiny
✨️Strangers to Lovers
✨️Fully Tattooed MMC
✨️Billionaire Lawyer MMC
✨️Coder/Developer FMC

On a flight from LA to Francisco, Yasmine has a panic attack and is rescued by the handsome stranger in the seat next to her. They spend the rest of their time together talking and flirting, and when they land, rather than parting ways, they spend a night together, and while she is convinced this could be the beginning of something real, she is disappointed when he never calls her. Weeks later, she is still trying to convince herself she imagined their connection when she arrives to meet with a company who’s app she’s hoping to develop, only to see him standing there.

After being betrayed by his ex and best friend years ago, Cole has avoided relationships, and hookups. But one flight with the woman he knew as Mina and the best night of his life were enough to convince him that he might have found what he’s been missing all along. When he wakes up the next morning to find her gone, he is devastated to realize he’s lost her phone number, and spends the next several weeks unsuccessfully trying to track her down. Hoping to distract himself, he signs up for a new anonymous dating app, with no personal details or photos, and eventually builds a strong connection with the woman he’s been matched with, but still can’t get Mina out of his head.

I received an early copy of this book from NetGalley and Boldwood Books and really enjoyed it. Cole has clearly been hurt in the past, making him distrustful when it comes to relationships, so his connection to Yasmine takes him by surprise. I loved how he didn’t give up and kept trying to find her, even when the task seemed impossible, and once he finally did, he laid it all out, not wanting to risk losing her again. While they jumped into their relationship quickly, it didn’t feel that way given how much they connected on a deeper level, and it was clear they were both falling long before they made the decision to give things a try. While I had guessed at the twist with Yasmine’s father, I loved how things played out, and am sad that this is the last we’ll see of this family.

Okay, Cole Hart may have just become my favourite Hart brother.

Thank you to Boldwood Books for the gifted copy of Breaking His Code by V.H. Nicolson.

This book completely sucked me in from the start. Maybe it was the whole meeting-on-a-plane thing. Maybe it was the lost phone number. Maybe it was Cole being an absolute sweetheart when Yasmine was terrified of flying. Whatever it was, I was invested.

I felt so bad for them at times because they were given every opportunity to miss each other. You know when you’re reading a book and you’re sitting there thinking, “If these two don’t sort this out soon, I’m going to lose my mind”? That was me.

What I loved most was that I genuinely liked both of them. Cole isn’t perfect. He’s carrying baggage from the past and struggles with trust, but underneath all of that he’s caring, loyal, and honestly a bit gone for Yasmine from the beginning. I loved watching him fall.

And Yasmine was brilliant. She’s smart, confident, works in tech, and has her own life and ambitions. She never felt like she existed just to be the love interest, which I really appreciated.

The dating app part of the story was probably one of my favourite things. I found myself grinning at their conversations while also wanting to shake them because the answer was right in front of them the whole time.

One quote that stuck with me was:

“If she’s the one, you’ll find each other again.”

After finishing the book, that line felt pretty perfect.

This one made me smile a lot. It made me laugh. It made me swoon a little. And then that ending came along and hit me right in the feelings.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m honestly sad to be saying goodbye to the Hart brothers. I’ve loved spending time with this family and I thought Cole and Yasmine were the perfect couple to end the series with.

Anyone else love a missed connection romance, or is it just me?

Breaking His Code is the fourth and final book in The Billionaire Hart Brothers series. Vicki is such a talented writer, and I’ve loved every book she has written, and this is no exception.
I loved both Cole and Yasmina’s characters, and from their very first meeting, I was willing them to get together, manifesting it with all my might. Cole is the youngest of the Hart brothers, successful but has zero trust in women; a cheating ex will do that to you!
His world is about to get a whole lot more interesting when he boards a plane heading home to San Francisco; his seatmate just happens to be a terrified, beautiful woman. All the Hart men have had an amazing role model, so Cole does what comes naturally to him: he takes her hand and supports the heck out of her during the whole flight.
When they land, he promises to call her that night, but when a goodbye kiss leads to the most unforgettable night together, he believes his luck with women has changed. That is until he wakes up to find the room empty, a note explaining but asking him to call……the trouble is he has lost her number.
The search for her is fruitless; weeks go by when he runs into her in a club; she flees when she sees him.
Persuaded to sign up for a new faceless dating app, Wildcard, he is matched with CodeBreaker. Their connection is instant; it’s addictive, but what he doesn’t realise is he’s falling for the same woman twice!
I loved this whole storyline; I thought the storyline was great; it was fast-paced but with enough tension to keep you thrilled there too. Cole gives off Labrador vibes, wrapped in a tattooed body— what isn’t to like? I loved their whole goth vibe too; it followed through the book so well, down to their clothing of choice, car colours, and his choice for his home renovation— although yes, he really does need to adapt the master bedroom for privacy 🤭
It’s a spicy and fun read, a great way to bring a fantastic series to a conclusion (a tissue is needed for the end).

Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the ARC of Breaking His Code in exchange for an honest review.

Okay, whelp, I'm crying after this one! Book #4 in The Billionaire Hart Brothers series was one of my favorites and the ending just both healed and broke my heart! I've been addicted to this since since the release of Book 1 and I've devoured them as ARCs ever since. In all honesty, I was least excited for Cole's story since he was a bit more in the background of books 1-3, so I honestly didn't know what to expect when starting his story. Ummm, excuse me ma'am, this book is spicccy and Cole is has potentially become my favorite Hart brother. His and Mina's story was absolutely swoon worthy and I'm not going to lie, I always love a good accidental pregnancy trope, especially with someone like Cole, who is totally gone for Mina on all levels.

The Hart family will always hold a special place in my own heart and I'm so excited that I had the chance to get my hands on these books early. I loved them all so much, and Breaking His Code was the perfect ending to a seriously spicy series that effortlessly weasels it's way into your heart. My only wish for book 4 that I didn't get to see was that I wish we would have gotten to see a little more of mama Hart in this last installment. She has always been a favorite character and I would have loved to see her interact with Cole and Mina a little more as they start to grow their family and round out the last of the Hart family romances.

I'm not going to lie, I'm sad that this series has come to an end, but I'm so so glad that it happened and it will forever hold a special place as one of my favorite romance series! I highly encourage you to pick this up, but make sure to start at book 1 since they all play into each other so wonderfully as the timelines do overlap to a certain degree. Breaking His Code is out June 27th!

ARC review

5⭐|3🌶️|15%🌶️frequency

Let me start my review with the first line of the acknowledgments:
"Did you cry? I did!"
Yes, Vicki, I cried too. Especially at the end of the book 😭 And yes, I'll miss the Hart brothers too. I love them all so much. I know what's coming next... "Who's your favorite?" And to be honest, it's a difficult question. They all are special in their own way, and having them as a why choose would definitely be something 🙈 But if you would put a 🔫 at my head, I think I would choose Max.

But enough about the other brothers, this is Cole's book 😁
Don't hate me, but I loved Yasmine a bit more than Cole. She's not just an incredible independent woman; she's also a coder. A nerd, a geek. I love that. I don't understand most of this stuff in general (no, there is no real talk about it in this book), but I'm the wife of a coder. And yes, it's a huge male domain. So every time I meet a female in books, I celebrate that 🤩

But I loved more than just Mina. I loved the strong connection Cole and she had. It's so much fate. The whole thing. And oh, did Cole fall hard 🥰 Oh, btw, I really did expect something different about this whole book. I think most will while reading the previous books 😎 But it's so much better. It's perfect. And it's surprising 😱
I swooned, I cried, and I laughed.
My favorite scene was at the end of the book. It's a phone call between Paige (Max's girlfriend) and Cole... I had to laugh sooo much. God, I love Paige 🤣

As I said, the books are perfect. So if you love billionaires who are no 🍑holes, but maybe grumpy 😉 Who fall hard for their women. You like strong women who will fight back. Then I would say, run and read these books now!

Thanks to the author, Boldwood Books, and NetGalley for trusting me with an ARC 🩷

Breaking His Code is the fifth and final story in The Billionaire Hart Brothers series. I absolutely loved it and the characters.

Cole is on an airplane when he sees a beautiful woman. She is assigned to the seat next to him. He notices that she is afraid of flying and he tries to calm her down. They have such an instant connection. She introduces herself as Mina, a childhood nickname from her parents. Once the flight is over, he invites her to his hotel for the night. They have an amazing time together and he doesn't want to leave. He takes her number and promises to call her. She leaves and then he realizes he lost her number. He is so upset because he really liked her.

Yasmine is so upset that Cole never called her. She is trying to move on with her life. Her friend makes a profile on the dating app that she is designing and gets matched up with a man. They have a connection and she instantly likes him. They share a lot about each other including their families.

Cole is grateful that he has made a connection with a woman online but he can't get Mina out of his head. He is still broken that he lost her number. He tries everything to find her with no luck.

Yasmine is at the law office ready to pitch her new app design when she sees Cole. She is angry with him for never calling her back as he had promised. He explains what happens and she has the choice to believe him or not.

I loved the instant connection between Cole and Yasmine. They had such great chemistry even from the beginning. I loved this story so much. It was very original and entertaining. I look forward to more from this talented author.

Breaking His Code was such an addictive billionaire romance with a really strong emotional connection at the center of it. The combination of the anonymous app relationship, the chance encounters, and the real-life connection between Cole and Yasmine made the romance feel layered from the start.

I really liked how the story balanced chemistry with emotional vulnerability. Cole initially comes across as controlled and guarded, but his connection with Yasmine slowly brings out a softer side that made him much more compelling than the typical billionaire MMC. Yasmine was also easy to root for, especially with the anxiety and secrets she was carrying throughout the story.

The pacing of the relationship worked really well for me because there were multiple layers to their connection — strangers on a plane, a one-night encounter, online matches, and then meeting again professionally. It kept the tension high without feeling repetitive.

I also appreciated that the emotional stakes stayed just as important as the romance. The conflict felt believable, and the story handled themes like trust, vulnerability, and fear of opening up in a way that felt genuine.

Overall, this was a romantic, emotional, and engaging billionaire romance with strong chemistry, good tension, and characters that were easy to become invested in. If you enjoy hidden identity tropes, emotionally guarded MMCs, and romance with both spice and heart, this is definitely worth picking up.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Title: Breaking His Code Series: The Billionaire Hart Brothers Series, Book 4
Author: VH Nicolson P. 336
Main Characters: Cole Hart and Yasmine Montgomery
Tropes: One night stand, second chance, conflict of interest
Book Type Reviewed: E-Book
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

And we say goodbye to the Hart Brothers. The Hart Law Firm is now run by Max, Nathan, Eli, and Cole Hart, and they try everyday to run the firm the way their father taught them. All the men are busy being some type of lawyer, Cole is the last brother standing when it comes to a relationship. He’s been burned in the past and reluctant when it comes to dating, but he does want that forever kind of love. Just when Cole least expects it, he takes a plane ride he will never forget.

Yasmine is terrified of flying and so thankful for the man that sat next to her. They hit it off from the start and had undeniable chemistry, and she really thought there might be something between them. And maybe there is…or will be, just maybe not as originally planned.

All four of the Hart brothers were a lot of fun to read about. Each with their own troubles and stories to tell. Each woman they came across fit them perfectly and brought out a side to them other than work. We don’t get quite as much banter with the brothers, they are all busy now I guess, but love when the family gets together. Lots of support and love.

When it comes to love - the fated, meant-to-be kind - your heart will know long before the rest of you catches on. True love like that will endure trials and overcome doubts, miles, miscommunication, and every possible obstacle. The story of Cole and Mina is one of those stories. It's one that renews the warm, fuzzy feeling of hope in my heart.

V.H. Nicolson has absolutely mastered the missed connection trope in Breaking His Code. It was so well executed and paired perfectly with their instant connection, strangers to lovers setup, and an unforgettable one-night stand. The attraction was instant, the heat was high, and their fated connection equally sweet and passionate. And without giving too much away, the twist toward the end of the book was absolutely one of the most deliciously vindicating moments I've read in a book in a while - trust me, you'll love it!

Much like the other Hart Brothers' stories, Nicolson has continued to expand the beautiful family starting with the powerful Hart men and adding their fierce and brave ladies. Each story has uniquely explored the themes of found family, acceptance, and love. The Hart brothers are providers and protectors. Fans of romances led by powerful men will swoon because the Hart brothers are the real deal - there's no possible way to resist even one of them (and thank goodness, there's FOUR!)

Thank you to V.H. Nicolson and Boldwood Books for the honor of reading and reviewing Breaking His Code.

OMG Vicky, how do you keep managing to surprise me, make me cry and just write some of the best books I have ever read?! Cole and Yasmine were perfection, what wasn't to love about each of them? She did more than break his code, she healed his heart.

Cole has been on the outside of his brother's relationships, watching them each find love, and wants that for himself. He is the complete opposite of what you would expect as a trust, will and estate lawyers. With his tattoos and his love of wearing black (and don't even get me started on his redecoration project) he looks more like a member of a rock band.

Yasmine (Mina) meets him on a flight, and flying is NOT HER THING. This is their first 'meet cute' and even in her high state of anxiety, he is taken with her in every way. Cole is her anchor at that time and this becomes a night neither of them will forget. Well, okay the phone number is lost but, Cole's relentless pursuit of Mina knows no bounds. But, Yasmine is quite the black cat, and when the claws come out thinking he had ghosted her.....well it made me love her more.

In the most intriguing way they rekindle as strangers and I literally loved everything about this. Their connection, serendipitous and meant to be, and the spice, Cole and Yasmine were each others halves and each others end game. Vicky, this has been the most amazing series, and yes I cried hard, but you tied it up absolutely perfectly. This series is one of my favourites.

I feel like I should have liked this book more it had loads of elements that I love I just found myself skim reading. This is the first book in this series I have read and honestly I didn’t feel like I was missing anything it really was a standalone.

Yasmine is an app designed and she is brilliant and talented at her job she cares for her mother who is sick and basically is perfect in every aspect.

Cole is the youngest brother he is a lawyer and a massive success in his career however his love life not so much he had an ex who he caught cheating with his best friend 3 years ago and he has been addicted to dating apps for a while just going on dates and nothing more. Also minor crush on a work colleague but she quickly falls in love with someone else and they are only ever friends. I kind of lived that he was the opposite of a playboy.

They met on an airplane having a one night stand. Cole looses her number so can’t call also having her nickname doesn’t help him find her. They both connect on the dating apps that Yasmine has created and start talking not knowing who each other is. I enjoyed how torn Cole was as he could forget the woman from the one night stand. I loved that there was no 3rd act break as they communicate.

I think the ex turning up as Yasmins dads soon to be wife was a little silly but we needed some drama because it was all a little too convenient and perfect maybe this was what I didn’t like about it.

ARC gifted in exchange for review.

I absolutely loved Cole in Eli’s book and honestly he’s my favorite brother so I jumped at the chance to read his story. I fear the way he and Mina may have given me unreal expectations for my next flight. Imagine meeting the kindest, most attractive man you’ve ever seen on your flight while you’re having a panic attack, and he goes out of his way to distract you. The chemistry between Cole and Mina was electric and those two were destined to meet. Reading this was a stark difference from reading Eli’s story because i actually loved both characters. Both Cole and Mina have the biggest kindest hearts, family means the world to them, they are ambitious, successful and driven. They are also both caretakers. These two are what happens when two givers find each other. I love that Cole was so respectful of Mina’s independence and supported her from the sidelines to ensure that there was no doubt that her achievements were down to her own merit and hard work. The way he showed up for her and her mum made me swoon. I really admired Mina’s passion, drive and her kind heart. It takes a lot of trust for someone like her to lean on someone and Cole’s determination to take care of her while she took care of her mum made me tear up. This was such a beautiful way to end this series and i think Cole and Mina’s love story will stick with me for a long time.

Cole Hart, you adorable, sweet, six foot something, tattooed man. Honestly I loved Cole so much. Beneath the muscles, tattoos, and billionaire status is a man who simply just wants someone to love and spoil. And really, who wouldn't want all of that??

Breaking His Code is the final book in the Billionaire Hart Brothers series, and while I'm always excited to get another brother's story, it's also bittersweet knowing it's the end.

Also, I won't lie, the final pages had me all kinds of emotional.

From the moment Cole and Yasmine meet, the attraction is undeniable. Their connection is instant, but as their story unfolds, it's clear fate has had a hand in bringing them together.

I know the accidental pregnancy trope isn't everyone's favorite, but I want to point out that it isn't the main focus. It's just one piece of a much larger story. So if that trope normally makes you hesitate, don't let it put you off, there's so much more to this story than that.

Cole is caring, loyal, protective, and so ready to give his love to the right person.
The way he shows up for Yasmine every time she needs him (even if she wouldn't ask for help) made him impossible not to fall for.
Yasmine is a strong, sexy, nerdy and independent woman. She would never ask or rely on a man for help, but Cole doesn't let that stop him.

Breaking His Code is sweet, romantic and oh so emotional, and the perfect conclusion to a wonderful series.

This is Book 4 in The Billionaire Hart Brothers series. They are interconnected standalones. I have only read 2 books of the 4, so far & look forward to reading the other 2!!

I LOVED this book... and Cole & Yasmine/Mina's story....

The book is fast paced. I love the characters... the main characters as well as the supporting characters. Cole's family seems so amazing & I love that the 4 brothers all work together. Family is important to both the MMC & FMC, which is really nice and they both do so much for their parents (when possible).

There was an unexpected plot twist that I did not see coming at all & I thought it was well written.

I love how Cole & Mina worked out their misunderstandings & that they figured out right away when they met & talked in person again that they were the ones talking through the app also... a double love connection of sorts. 🤩

Spice level: 3/5

*billionaire romance
*he's a lawyer
*she's a tech genius who creates apps
*starts with a one night stand
*they chat on a dating app without knowing identities
*ends with a HEA
*told in a dual 3rd person POV

Thank you to the author (VH Nicolson), publisher (Boldwood Books) & Netgalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

The final Hart brother gets his story and the youngest, Cole meets his perfect woman on a flight as she has a meltdown over flying. A Night together follows and in the morning she is gone but the note lefts tells him to call her. However he discovers the note is missing and can not find her - trying to find the mystery Mina draws blanks and Cole sadly accepts this. However without spoilers - their paths cross again quickly and after some surprises they realise how perfect they are together. Cole started to trust again after being sworn off love after a precious girlfriend cheated on him. The two of them are cute and I love their banter and the dynamics with the wider brothers. There is a lot going on with the story at times ( again no spoilers) though they are together from fairly early on but I do love the two characters. I didn’t see the end scenario coming and it felt a little rushed but I loved the epilogue and it had all the feels.
This has been a great series and I look forward to what comes next.

Can be read standalone but would make more sense to read in order.

Tropes: one night stand, billionaire, second chance,

I received this book as an ARC from author and Boldwood books - it here are my honest views given voluntarily

This has been a great series and I'm really sad to see it come to an end. The Hart Brothers are a group of ridiculously successful and handsome lawyers who also happen to be brothers. We've followed each one of them as they've found their perfect romantic match and come to terms with the decline of their father's health.
This time it was the turn of the youngest brother, Cole, who had been addicted to dating apps, but was unable to find anyone he wanted to spend more than one date with after his then-girlfriend cheated on him with his best friend. From the moment he and Yasmine meet, it's clear that they belong together, and fate seems to be pushing them in that direction.
I loved these two together, they were the perfect match, almost as though they've been written for one another (he!) It was a great conclusion to the series, showing each of the brothers with their perfect match, even if that was slightly different to what they might have initially expected or been looking for.
I'll be sad to leave this series, but I'm looking forward to what V.H.Nicholson might have for us next...

These Hart boys are going to be the death of me. All of them. They are close, they protect each other, they adore their loving parents, and gosh darn it, they move heaven and earth for their women.

Cole Hart is a stone statue. He's been burned by his best friend and ex-girlfriend. Together. At the same time. In the same bed, actually. So he's closed off and untrusting. Rightly so. But it makes dating difficult. He tries. He really does.

So when he meets a panicked woman on a plane, he helps her, comforts her, and lets a little of his wall down. They spend an amazing night together. Yasmine is a software designer. She is strong, intelligent, and hardworking. She's a keeper.

Then he accidentally loses her number. No, he actually REALLY loses her number. He frantically searches for her without any luck. Then he connects with someone new on a dating app. He decides maybe it's time to let go of the perfect woman he can't find and take a chance on this new one.

I absolutely love the Hart family and how hardworking and loyal they are. I've enjoyed each story, and this final installment in The Billionaire Hart Brothers series is no exception.

Thank you so much to V.H. Nicolson, Boldwood Books, and NetGalley for the ARC.

IYKYK.

4.5⭐️

I loved Cole, I loved Yasmine.
It was cosmic encounters, love at first site magic that makes me believe in love.
I absolutely adored Cole’s character, how hard he worked and how far he went to find his Mina.
Yasmine was a fierce, clever girly who I absolutely have a girl crush on. I loved how she protected herself but was quick to realise that shit happens, and second chances were on the cards!

I really respected Cole’s ability to know what Yasmine needed whether that was space or a shoulder, or just some supportive words he effortlessly became what Yasmine needed.

I CACKLED at the audacity of ‘Annie’ dat bitchhhh.
I just found the whole thing full circle and I know our hot goth lawyer Cole needed that closure not unease he wasn’t over the situation but he needed to cement that it was never him, he was always enough.

They were perfect for each other, fate was on their side and it was a really fun storyline with the chance encounter on the app!

I really enjoyed the roundup at the end, as gut wrenching as it was it was respectful closure for the family!

Bravo, great ending to such a great series V.
Your wonderful writing hits the spot again!

Cole Hart isn’t amused when a fellow passenger rushes onto the plane at the last minute and sits next to him. Even more unamused when it becomes obvious that she’s a very, very nervous flyer.

But he’s a gentleman and helps to calm her down, becoming instantly smitten by her beauty.
Yasmine is absolutely terrified of flying but feels safe with Cole as he talks to her and calms her down, plus he’s very easy on the eye! Giving him her phone number was an easy decision to make.

As they leave the airport they share an explosive goodbye kiss, leading to a unforgettable night in the hotel. As Yasmine leaves the next day, she asks him to call her – but he doesn’t.

Yasmine tries to forget Cole whilst Cole, who lost the precious piece of paper with her number on it, tries everything he can think of to find her with no luck. As his brothers say, if they’re meant to be together then it will happen.

An easy, enjoyable read with a fun, interesting storyline and a very fitting epilogue to bring the series to a close. The two things that I didn’t like about the book was the amount of black clothing that Yasmine and Cole wore and the extent of Cole’s tattoos – but that’s just my personal view.

Thanks to Net Galley and Boldwood Books for an ARC for my honest review.

As soon as I seen this on my netgalley shelf all other reads were pushed to the side! I raaaaan 🏃🏻‍♀️

I don’t know if I’m more emotional that this is the last in the series or the last paragraph in the epilogue ripped my heart out?! 😭

This series has been one of my favourites this past year and I’ve been so grateful to be an arc reader for them all! It’s definitely gonna be a reread for me!

Right from the start of Cole & Yasmines journey you know it’s gonna be a fast paced love and it is, and I was here for it. How they both weren’t afraid to express their feelings to one another and open up! It made it so easy to read!

I also enjoy the app chats back and forth! It had the right amount where it was so much fun but not dragged out and that’s something alot of people do! So I was so happy 👏🏼

Her poor dad lol 😂 but then they say what goes around comes back around so he got his karma 💅🏼

The ending. Ugh I’m never gonna get over this! Absolutely incredible and I highly recommend it this series! 🫶🏼

Ps, the spice? 1000/10 🥵

I was invited to read this via netgally in exchange for an honest review.

When I started this I had no idea it was the last of a series until I got to the end and read the acknowledgements, I'll say it made no difference you can 100% read this as a stand alone and enjoy it as I did. Now that I know the other brother have a book I'll be adding them to my TBR as the little snippets we saw in this book I enjoyed, I'm especially intrigued by page!

I really enjoyed this little treat ☺️ I absolutely loved the start, the whole interaction on the plane I really enjoyed.

I love that rather than your usual bad boy possessive millionaire type the MMC Cole is genuinely a nice guy with a heart of gold that gets judged on his appearance and tattoos.

I also loved that the FMC Yasmine is a funky goth type bad ass independent woman rather than a "yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir" type

I thought the ending was beautifully done and I did cry a little. Overall I enjoyed this and thought it was a fun little read, nice and quick and had me rooting for the couple.
