For a person that is supposed to be a savior, she is kind of cranky and whines a lot. The story was interesting and the descriptions are vivid and come to life in the telling. I just did not enjoy it as much as I hoped to.

I get that she was immature and was given a huge task, but boy, was she vocal about it all.

As this is not my typical genre I gave the writing the high score and will only say that it was not exactly my cup of tea. I will certainly give other books and stories a chance from Sarah Noffke. The writing is really well done. It was just uncomfortable for me to listen to.

This is another quality YA fantasy novel in similar vein to The Hunger Games and Divergent. It is based on an intriguing idea of dream walking and contains lots of very charming and interesting young people. The heroine is tough although with a tendency to bouts of complaining which I skipped over! She is also very poor at choosing her men and totally ignores the one I like best whilst dangling two others on strings. All very entertaining. The story is exciting and interesting and the whole thing makes for a quick and enjoyable read. Definitely a series to continue with

I've always been intrigued by dreams and in this young adult fantasy, Noffke explores what happens when people are attacked in their dreams. I really enjoyed this book and it's my first by Sarah Noffke. She's does an excellent job world-building and I was drawn right in. I kind of liked that the family treated the MC like an outcast. When I was 16, I felt that way, too. It added depth and realism to the MC. Highly recommend!

*I received this book from the author in exchange for a honest review*

First off can I just say people this book is so amazing it's epic. Sarah Noffke knows how to write characters and a fabulously detailed world.

This book follows Roya a girl who finds out she's a dream traveller (a lucidites) and is set with the task of defeating an all powerful evil dream traveller who is making Normal people hallucinate and become violent and killing lucidites. At first she is lead to believe that she is without a doubt the challenger but once she is pulled into the institute she realizes she has to compete against others to become the challenger.

This book is just amazing the story is so original and There are so many characters in this book and everyone of them is as fabulous as Roya. You totally fall for all of them and the emotions surrounding all of them are really played on well. Sarah Noffke is a fantastic writer I mean this whole book is a build up to the end but yet every chapter is just so brilliant nothing really happens throughout most of this other than really getting to know these amazing characters and I was hooked all the way through just learning about them. I'm so so excited to read book two and I would definitely without a doubt recommend this book to anyone I'm hooked on this series now and very happy to have found a new author who is outstanding and storytelling.

Received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Sarah Noffke has written an interesting twist on time travel. Instead of travelling via a machine or some other device, certain individuals can travel via sleep. They can travel to the past or within the present. The future is completely off-limits.

Noffke’s story is about Roya Stark, a Dream Traveler, who must challenge a Dream Warlord, Zhuang. About eighty percent of "Awoken" is devoted to how she trains for this sci-fi showdown.

My favorite part was Noffke’s inclusion of Bruce Lee and Jeet Kune Do. I have studied JKD. I’m very familiar with Lee’s expression “be like water”. This inclusion had me eagerly reading to find out how this concept would be used in the book.

My least favorite part had to be the actual fight sequences between Nora and Zhuang. I believe they were too short. The reader was led to believe that Zhuang was this major villain who was all powerful. Nora and her team trained hard to defeat this person. When it came to the actual showdown, it was like an infant shaking a stick at a toddler. Hopefully, the action will pick up in Book Two.

Noffke’s characters were well-developed. The reader is given a good insight into each one. My favorite was Joseph. He was laid back with a ‘I don’t give up’ attitude. George, the misunderstood empath, was my next favorite. His character read like a book. Oddly, the protagonist, Roya, was my least favorite. For most of the story I found her to be self-absorbed, too emotional and standoffish. There are good reasons for her behavior. And, by the end of the book she is more likable.

I liked Noffke’s writing style. The story is well-conceived and intriguing. I highly recommend "Awoken". I’ve already picked up the next installment in this trilogy.

Ahhhhh I forgot to post updates about this but it was so good! A stand out in this genre.

I was hooked on this from the beginning - the writing is just superb. The imagery is really vivid and I thought the concept was executed with ease and nothing felt over complicated. The characters were really interesting and I thought Roya was such an excellent main character. She is smart, a book lover (bonus) and funny which is always a great combination. I quite liked the romance in this book and there are a few quirky characters you meet along the way that really help tie the whole thing together. Definitely pick this up and give it a go. I know I will be looking in to the sequel very soon.

Awoken is the story of Roya, a sarcastic, sometimes belligerent teenage girl who has the uncanny ability to dream travel. Dream traveling is exactly what it sounds like- the ability to travel while dreaming. Imagine closing your eyes and finding yourself in Tahiti bathing in the sun or people-watching on a rainy boulevard in Paris.
From the moment I opened Awoken I was transported into a world that I had never been to before. I immediately felt a connection to Roya because she is an avid reader, a strong female, and someone who feels out of place in her world. As the story begins, she is approached by a mysterious group called the Lucidites who tell her that she is destined to fight a malicious villain named Zhuang. I really enjoyed Roya’s journey and all of the unique characters that make this book so special. The romance in particular is a favorite part for me since it doesn’t feel forced or rushed. It has a sweet realism that I think any other reader would enjoy.

I had not previously heard of this book prior to signing up to be a tour host. So I went into reading it with no expectations. It doesn't take long before the "strangers" mentioned in the summary have Roya at a special institute where she's to receive training. When I first started the book, I thought, "oh, great, yet another story where they train teenagers to be fighters a la Divergent, etc." This book, however, turned out to be so much more.

The "training" that Roya and other kids her age must undergo isn't just about how to survive or how to fight. It's focused on mental training for a very specific type of skill and task that awaits them. Plus, in a lot of other books, the authors may put in one training scene, and then just refer to having to "go to training" throughout the rest of the book. In this book, however, we are privy to many sessions, watching the development of the characters' skills and progress. It was a lot more detailed and focused. This was an interesting new twist that made this book unique to others of its kind. I completely forgot about any comparisons I might have made at the beginning and was immediately sucked into the story.

The author did an amazing job balancing story vs. character development. It has a large cast, and while some of the secondary characters didn't need or require as much development for me to like them, the three to five main protagonists were very detailed and I felt for each of them. especially Roya.

I loved Roya immediately. As the summary says, she's been through a rough time with her family, and although she does carry that with her, there is nothing weak or frightened about this girl. She's strong, brave, and self-sacrificing. I loved her determination, even if she didn't completely buy into what she was there for at first. There were times when she worked so hard to keep her emotions in check, to prevent herself from showing her feelings, and it was heartbreaking. She was so controlled but yet, she felt so much. She had the ability to push back fear and use her passion.

The conflict, of course, was very exciting, but one of my favorite aspects of this story was the interactions between Roya and her team. There is lots of emotion there, some very unexpected relationships, and some romance that was surprising and interesting, exhilarating in its sweetness and passion.

The last quarter of the book was so fast-paced and hard-hitting that I felt myself gasping more than once. The author did an amazing job with her world building, the characterization, the action, and the pacing. Not to mention the romance, which was slow-building and very gratifying. I loved this book, and am definitely looking forward to the next installment to what has been an amazing new series.

I just realized that I never completed my review! (life gets in the way now and then ;))

What can I say about Awoken? Well, right after reading it I quickly bought and read the remainder of the series! So I suppose that this speaks for the whole series! It was a world I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of as I read.

Sarah has an incredible gift for wooing the reader into her stories. The dream aspect and the "no limitations" theme throughout had me wishing I could be one of those characters. (even in their difficult moments!)

:) I was sad to have the journey end...and I'm hoping to one day read more about the Lucidites!

Being a reader who gravitates toward contemporaries, this is not the kind of book I'd normally pick up, though I do read paranormals from time to time. I came to read Awoken through a new feature I'm trying, My Indie Inbox. I let my blog readers choose an indie title for me to read and review, and they voted for Awoken

I'd call Awoken a sort of paranormal-slash-sci-fi story. Sixteen year-old Roya Stark has always felt a little out of place in her family. When the dreams and premonitions she's always had start to alarm her, she agrees to join the Lucidites at their underwater institute and accept their guidance and protection. But soon she learns that she's a Dream Traveler who can create dreams and travel through them. If that isn't enough to absorb, Roya may also be the challenger, the only person who can stop Zhuang, a villain who is thought to be causing a worldwide sickness. At the institute, Roya and other teenagers with paranormal abilities will hone their talents and train to stop Zhuang. The science fiction comes in through a variety of gadgets that allow these Dream Travelers to get their bodies in the same place as their roaming minds.

World building can one of the toughest challenges for a writer, who must carefully guide their reader through an imagined world, giving just the right amount of information at the right time. Too little information, and the reader is lost. Too much, and they're buried under the infamous info dump. I'll admit to being a little confused at the beginning of this book. There was a lot I didn't understand and a bunch of characters. (Then again, I'm not very patient.) But as the book went on, I understood more and more about what was going on. The main part of the story is a familiar "hero answers the call" then "hero meets mentors and undergoes training sequence." I came to enjoy the Institute, though, and the plot took a few interesting turns that had me much more invested in Roya's story and her eventual showdown with Zhuang.

Would I call this a paranormal romance? Not exactly. The book isn't exactly short on guys: hunky guys with beautiful eyes, guys with accents, guys with attitudes. But the story focuses more on Roya and the romance comes more at the very end. I can't say I minded this, because it often annoys me when characters with important work to do spend too much time flirting with cute guys, but I'd have liked the romance to be a little better developed. Was there a triangle? Not exactly, but there is the potential for one to develop in the next book. The writing is smooth, though I think the first half of the book could have been streamlined a little, as the second half is where all the action happens.

It's hard for me to come up with too many comp titles, because I don't read a ton of paranormals. But I'd recommend Awoken to fans who enjoy books like the Shade-Shift-Shine series by Jeri Smith-Ready or the Mythos Academy series by Jennifer Estep.

3.5 Stars . . .

The general concept of the story was very intriguing to me, especially since I've extensively studied the topics that are incorporated into the plot. There were some aspects that could have been developed further or expanded upon but were not, which would have caused a higher rating from me. I was really hoping to see this part of the story to be developed and cultivated into something more.

The story flowed nicely, but there were many aspects that made me feel like I was in another Hunger Games/Divergent/other YA Dystopia type characters and plot. A complaining heroine just doesn't do it for me, especially since it's another one who doesn't want to be the heroine, but at the same time does not like the idea of it being someone else.

I do plan on reading the next book, curious to see what will happen next, even though many of my assumptions to the love triangle and the results from the battle were exactly what I expected.

Looking forward to this author consider a different approach that would give the story and characters more depth.

Roya has nightmares. Every night she drowns. Now she is having premonitions, not exactly normal for an introverted, teen who would rather read literary classics than risk one more embarrassment in front of her family, who have become like cruel strangers in her lonely world.

Sure, teens often face an identity crisis, it is part of growing up, but for Roya, the answer to her question of,”Who am I?” is about to be answered in greater detail and deadly menace than she could ever imagine. For Roya, the best defense for admitting the truth is to be offensive, but the Lucidites who have found her, Roya’s truth could save the world. Is it true that Roya is part of an elite group of Dreamwalkers who may be the last defense against a powerful entity who is determined to be the world’s darkest nightmare?

Awoken by Sarah Noffke is the story of a girl without a cause, one who is barely hanging on in a world that threatens her very existence, a world she is not sure she believes in, only to discover that even those who “know” her have been lying to her while saying, ”Trust Me…” What is Roya to do, give her life in a battle everyone knows she can never win for people who have been using her? Why?

Entangled subplots, an almost romance and betrayal and half-truths abound as Roya is treated like a mushroom in the dark and pushed beyond her limits to perform. Can you imagine being a teen alone in a world of powerful strangers and teens who clearly do not trust you? Roya does what any strong teen would do, stand tall, although she can get a little nasty sometimes.

Sarah Noffke has done a marvelous job of bringing her tale to life, one word and one twist at a time until her tale becomes like a virtual spider web of doubt. When she sacks the odds against the Lucidites in battle, it came across as a brilliant move to keep the tension high! Looking for something a little different in the YA Fantasy Genre? Great writing, strong characters and one heck of a bad guy make this one to look at!

This is a book I have been wanting to read for awhile. I love anything to do with dreams, it's so fascinating how we can sleep and while we sleep, stories dance around in our head. First off, the cover is amazing, whoever picked it out made a brilliant decision. Once you read the whole book, the cover just really completes the whole story.
Now, onto the good stuff and boy, was there good stuff!! Noffke touched on a great idea of dream traveling. I once toyed with the idea of something similar but could never put anything together. She did and did it spectacularly! There are two kinds of readers when it comes to Roya, the main character. There are readers who think she's not as developed, too moody BLAH BLAH. Guess what? Roya is REALISTIC! I try to put myself in Roya's shoes and if the reader does so also, you'd probably react the same way to some situations Roya become involved in. It's like watching a television show of someone eating something gross and you think "Pfft, I can do that no problem" but when it's actually presented in front of you...not so easy. Roya is one of the most realistic characters in a book that I've read. She reacts how most people would and you can tell Noffke wasn't trying to control her character too much, she breathed life into her character thus some readers don't like Rory because in the real world, you don't like everyone. It's easy to make up a character everyone would love but it's so complicated to make one realistic and give that character it's own decisions and reaction, sometimes it can even make or break a good novel. You are truly a talented author when you can get outside yourself and create a character not based on how YOU would feel, but how THEY would feel. If Noffke didn't make Rory the way she did, I don't think I would have enjoyed the book as much so BRAVO! I'm not interested in romance so I don't really review those parts of a book. I save that for another reviewer. I care about the writing style, which is superb. I care about the characters and their interactions with each other, which make up the whole heart of the book. Last, I care about plot and not only is this a damn good put together plot, it's a book I'm going to read more than once! I have so many books to read that it takes something special for me to be able to reread a book and Noffke, you have something special here!

Received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

It was great story with a brilliant concept. Every detail, every setting, every scene was cleverly written and well constructed. Although I do feel like a lot of content was dedicated to Roya's love triangle and such like scenes which I just didn't like. I wish that we could have known more about the training and not drama that takes place in between. At times, she was just so slow at following things that were quite apparent that it was irksome. And, what bothered me the most was the fact that she wasted so much time in self pity while people died because of her. I'm not trying to be harsh but it felt that way a lot of times. Like, you could tell she was unprepared when she entered the duel and we get to witness so little of her training... I just wanted to know more about this captivating world and there were so many questions but it always felt like the first preferance was how she felt and I wouldn't have a problem with it if she just showed a little rebellion, a little fight during the duel. The only time she actually does something is run into Zhuang while her bracelet does the rest. With all that Kung Fu and her blocking blows in slow motion during training was awesome and I was obviously expecting that in the duel and... I found a lot of things disappointing and I want a lot of answers so I'm just going to be patient about the whole thing till I read the sequel. Enough negative stuff. I just want to state the fact that I loved Joseph and I almost hated the author for what appeared to be the ending but I'm glad it wasn't. The other characters were likeable too. The writing really brought the characters to life and that was truly admirable. I am really glad I read this book and it was definitely worth every moment I spent on it.

Dreams have always fascinated me so when I found out this book was about dream traveling I was hooked. I wish I didn't have to work otherwise I would have finished this book much faster then I did. I was constantly thinking about this book through out the day on what was going to happen. I loved the twists and turns and how much this book pulls you in.
The characters are great. Each one is a little different but they all have different abilities that work great together. I am waiting for something big to happen with Ren. He is such a pain but I know there is more to it.
This book may be difficult for some to start getting into the story but if you can get past the start with not knowing what is going on you are going to love this adventure.
It is interesting how the author explains the dream traveling and the evil that is out in the world that is taking people's lives by not letting them sleep. It is all very intriguing and kept me reading to find out what more to find out.
George is a favorite of mine and I love him. He is very different being who he is and his powers and I love the parts between Roya and George.
The characters and the flow of the story work really well together. I really cannot wait to read the next installment of the series. I know there is more to find out about Roya and her life.
I highly recommend this book. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

First off I was going to get this book free from the author through one of my book groups until I told her I have it on kindle unlimited. Someone else could take the free one. So here is my review for this sweet author :-)

I'm not too much into time travel but this book is about the Lucidites, which are Dream Travelers! I think this would be awesome as long as you could control it all and some jerk couldn't mess with you. On that note....

Here is this bad guy named Zhuang that gets in a persons dream to give them nightmares and basically steal their life in one way or another.

Roya is recruited with a bunch of other Lucidites to see who will go up against him to try to kill him. She is the one chosen but she has a group of people helping.

I loved all of the training scenes. Love that kind of stuff. I love all of the talismans and animals that help as well.

I'm up in the air with the love triangle. I like both guys. Sigh.

They fight Zhuang but not sure if he is dead. They lose one of their own.

This book was really good with some unusual things that are original and cool. I look forward to the next book.

I haven't read young adult in a while, but from what I remember this book could almost serve as a blueprint for a good YA novel. You have a strong young female protagonist with mysterious powers as well as a mysterious past. You also have a few love interests she finds herself torn between.

The science fiction elements were original, dealing with what goes on when people sleep and dream. Dreaming is a major theme of the book, as you have a group of almost X-Men like teens that have to battle a menace who is basically trying to take over the world by attacking people through their dreams. (That's not entirely accurate as the storyline is more complex, but I don't want to get into spoilers here.) Also, Bruce Lee has a cameo. Yes, BRUCE LEE!

Overall it's very well written and the characters are well developed. There's drama, romance and action. I would recommend this one to any fan of YA fiction. Very good work from Sarah Noffke.

I love this book and recommend it to everybody! I love Roya! I love how she isn't perfect at everything, (like all of us) but she's still very very strong!! She's one of my favorite heroines! JOSEPH!!!! I love him! He's awesome and funny and one of my favorite characters! He's also a very likeable character! AIDEN!! He's awesome! I agree with him about what's life without music (and he's so lucky to have a Fall Out Boy T-shirt!) He's so sweet! I love George, he's sweet and understanding, and he's so nice to everyone! And then I just want to say that the writing and the idea is awesome! Sarah Noffke did a great job! (And the bad guy... Ewwww! He's so... Evil)

This is the first novel I've read by Sarah Noffke, and I'm anxiously waiting to read more!
If you enjoy really getting into the mind and soul of a character, Sarah executes this flawlessly, with Roya Stark as the protagonist that takes you into the fascinating world of the "Lucidites".
Being a fan of science fiction and fantasy, this novel doesn't disappoint. It's a fresh take on abilities that will have you wishing you could do what they do. The cast of characters will keep you entranced from beginning to end, with scenes of mystery, deceit, brilliant action, budding romance and great humor that may have you repeating memorable lines.
Don't miss out on this epic adventure, join the ranks of the "Dream Travelers" and dive into the amazing beginning of the "Lucidites" series!

Thank you very much for the gifted copy in exchange for an honest review. ^____^

First of all, this book was descriptively narrated, and honestly that helped me understand the events of the story. It's just beautifully described you'd think its happening at the back of your eyes. It's like you see what's on every character's mind and well... it's just one of the strengths of this book. Though I would admit that the first few chapters gave me a hard time easing into BUT once Roya, the heroine got into the Institute and more was revealed, it was all good and I was able to read seamlessly.

So you see, Roya's character was a little standoffish, aloof, distant and uncooperative with her teammates. It might sound very unlikeable, but our girl here had a very difficult childhood, being an outcast and with all the reasons untold why she was in the Institute, discovering that she is a dream traveler, and the ONLY person who could rid the evil dream traveler who steals people's consciousness- Zhuang, it made her reaction and attitude realistic and very relatable.

The rest of the characters in this were nicely rounded. Joseph, gave the story a lighter feel of his humorous character that made me look forward to his progress in the next books. Aiden just got to me the moment he was introduced, there was just something in his character that will get any readers attention. I like how he and Roya affect each other, work and challenge each other. I'm interested how their relationship would go in the series.

On the other hand, George feel a bit off for me but when I progress in the book, oh boy, I was confused who to root for! Haha. Here I thought the insta-love is all I'm gonna have in this book, but the love triangle surprised me. ^__^ This guy has a lot of potential, I believe if their relationship was built up more and longer, and developed better he's gonna make Roya crazy over for him. The connection though just all sound very abrupt but cute nonetheless.

This was from the middle part to the last that I'd say I enjoyed the most, as it just flowed really well. As the confrontation with the villain came it was rather very sudden and leaves the readers with many questions to look forward to next books for enlightenment. This might have lots of confusing parts but definitely is an enjoyable read.

To readers, who loves a good fantasy and sci-fi story, this one's for you. ^__^

*This book was given to me by the author, free of charge, in exchange for an honest review.*

First of all, the concept is fresh and amazing. Kind of like Inception but, y'know...not. It didn't start out the way I thought it would, which sort of slowed me down initially, but once I got into it, but was it an addictive read! Roya has a really interesting ability to simultaneously be a great heroine, someone for whom you really want to root, and then turn around and act like a sulking, sullen brat. It is easy to sympathize with her, but I don't as always agree with her courses of action. There is also the requisite love triangle *gasp* In a Y.A. trilogy? No way!

You may be wondering why it too me so long to read this book since it was so interesting and only 312 pages. I seem to have a never-ending sinus infection, so I've been seeing a lot of the inside of my eyelids, honestly. Also, at a certain point, I was trying to drag it out as long as possible. Plus, I was nervous about what was going to happen...

Lastly, I have to say I was amazed at how well this was edited! Aside from my mother constantly drilling the word "awakened" into my vocabulary and my tendency to want to use that instead of "awoken", (I have no idea whether that is technically corrected or not though) there were almost no editorial errors, which we all know, makes me a strange, but happy camper. I can't wait to read Stunned!

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review :)

Summary:

Roya Stark never would have guessed that a bookworm outcast like herself would be thrown into a world of dream traveling, confusing teammates and the minor task of killing the creator of nightmares who has been terrorizing the world for centuries. As Roya gets thrown in the Institute with other Dream Travelers like herself, her perception of herself and the world begins to change. While enduring having the fate of the sanity of the world resting on her shoulders she also has to come to term with the facts that everything she knows isn't exactly what it seems.

Review:

Honestly, when I first started this book I was kind of confused. I felt like there was a book before it I should have read. Due to the fact that I was confused, I couldn't really get into the book. I kept reading little pieces and then going off and doing something else. Today I sat down and told myself I was going to finish it. After reading for about an hour, I was hooked. I'm not completely sure what trapped me, but it did. Noffke's writing was clear and I didn't notice any major grammar issues. I felt myself connected to the characters and rooting for different ones and experiencing their emotions. The book had some points that were fairly predictable because they're common in YA books, but other points had me on the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to come next. Needless to say, as soon as I finished Awoken I immediately checked to see if my library had the next book in the series, Stunned.

Coming of age perspective to battle of good and evil

Roya is a dream traveler, an odd duck in a family full of swans. Lately her dreams have been violent and scary, with the edgy feeling that someone is watching her. Neighbors Bob and Steve tell Roya of someone who can help, a Lucidite named Shuman.

According to Shuman, Roya is on the Challenger list. She’s the one who can save all dreamers, but to get Shuman’s help, she has to travel to the Institute. Trouble is to get there she must nearly drown herself. Worse, the challenge against Zhuang is rapidly approaching so there’s no time to dither.

Roya arrives and finds she’s one of many challengers. To become The Challenger, she must outscore her peers. A loner, Roya feels even more out of place, but despite her efforts to keep to herself, she makes a few friends and allies. As she learns the depths of dream traveling and her opponent, she discovers Zhuang has stacked the odds in his favor. Roya doesn’t know who to trust and who is the enemy.

Thought provoking and entertaining, Awoken was a universal study of good versus evil with a coming of age perspective. I enjoyed seeing Roya awaken and realize her full potential.

"Entertaining listen"
What made the experience of listening to Awoken the most enjoyable?
There was enough twists/unknowns to the story to make you want to find out what is going to happen next

What other book might you compare Awoken to and why?
This is my first book of this genre. But there are some main character similarities between Awoken and Hunger Games. Both have young female heros (Katnis & Roya) who have to get to the point of basically sacrificing themselves for the greater good. Both have teams / trainers. And the love plot twists.

Which scene was your favorite?
After Roya took over as the challenger and was in training. Total focus, defending herself against all attacks, grabbing the nun-chucks that were passed to her and breaking her attacker's nose.

Any additional comments?
I actually enjoyed the build-up to facing Zuang, more than the actual Zuang encounter. Liked the interactions with Aiden, and the plot twists with George and Joseph.
Also enjoyed the tension with Ren.

Taking us into a new world view where dreams can be altered manually and people can travel through space and time, author Sara Noffke, does a fine job creating a new and unique young adult storyline. Although, the story jumps right into the middle of the 16 year old heroine, Roya Stark's, battle between "good and evil", which can see forced at times, it eventually fills in the back story as your engage the multiple layers of this novel. The only thing that I got snagged on was this 16 year old's love triangle. It just seemed to be too much, too fast for such a young girl to be going through with two other young people. But they do say hormones run wild in teens, right?

Narrator Elizabeth Klett did a fine job bringing to light the multitude of characters in this novel. She has "teen" voices down to a 'T' which made the story come alive for me. I most appreciated her pacing and willingness to portray emotions through the words she read.

I would recommend this book to all.
