For PI Franki Amato, New Orleans is anything but The Big Easy. Her best friend and employer has assigned her an unsettling investigation—the murder of a gorgeous cosmetics CEO at an allegedly haunted plantation. Adding to Franki’s stress, her meddling Sicilian nonna is planning her engagement even though her boyfriend, Bradley, hasn’t popped the question, and his new secretary seems determined to ensure a proposal never happens. As Bradley grows distant and the plantation grows dangerous, Franki turns to a psychic who is deathly afraid of ghosts. But her relationship is the least of her worries. She has to figure out what pink lip gloss, pirates, and a legendary diamond have to do with the bizarre homicide before she, too, drops dead like a Southern belle during a sweltering summer.

Traci Andrighetti is the USA Today bestselling author of the Franki Amato mysteries and the Danger Cove Hair Salon mysteries, and she is a co-author of the Killer Foursome mysteries. Her latest release is 4 SLEUTHS & A BACHELORETTE, Franki's first co-investigation with the sleuths of Leslie Langtry, Arlene McFarlane, and Diana Orgain. Right now Traci's plotting TUACA TAN, Franki Amato 8, about the members of an all-female Mardi Gras krewe who keep dropping dead. Next off the press is Franki’s second investigation with her new “krewe,” 4 SLEUTHS & A BURLESQUE DANCER, about a washed up dolphin dancer found dead in the water. LMAO (the initials of Langtry, Andrighetti, McFarlane, and Orgain)! :D

“Supposing is good, but finding out is better.”
----Mark Twain

Traci Andrighetti, the national bestselling author, is back again with an all-new adventure-cum-mystery in her Franki Amato Mystery series, called, Prosecco Pink .

Synopsis: For Franki Amato, life in New Orleans is anything but "The Big Easy." When she met handsome bank executive Bradley Hartmann, she knew she'd finally found a man she could trust. But she can't say the same for his sexy new secretary, who is about as trustworthy as Mata Hari and every bit as seductive. Meanwhile, Franki's best friend and employer, Veronica Maggio, has named her the lead investigator in the murder of a gorgeous cosmetics CEO who was found lying dead in the master bedroom of a historic plantation home.

Now the pressure is on Franki to figure out what a bottle of pink lip gloss and the legend of a pink diamond have to do with the bizarre killing. The problem is that the plantation is notorious for being haunted, and Franki is less than enthusiastic about the prospect of meeting a ghost. Adding to her stress, her Sicilian grandma is up to her usual meddling antics—this time planning Franki's engagement to Bradley before he is even considered popping the question. As Bradley grows distant and plantation employees begin dropping like Southern belles during a sweltering summer, Franki turns to a psychic with a phobia of ghosts to solve the mysterious murders and her own relationship fears.

Franki is back with a bang, with a new boyfriend in her tow, she is currently floating over the cloud 9. However, things go haywire when her banker boyfriend hires a new assistant who is perfect in every way, which will make you love-to-hate-her- quote "bitch". Her happily sailing ship of love almost drowns and that is when she devotes herself to another new mystery- the murder of Ivanna Jones, owner of Lickilious Lips- a cosmetic brand, at the Oleander Place antebellum plantation, which is notoriously famous for its haunting ghost stories. Poor Franki- seems like Traci left her in knots in Prosecco Pink . Franki's phobia is not helping her at all in solving this mystery. Thereby, she meets a psychic named, Chandra, who guides her all the way with her visions.

This time too Traci used her Italian flair in the narrative tone, to make her plot interesting, jazzy with a lot of spunk. Prosecco Pink immediately picks up where Limoncello Yellow ends. Once again, I loved Traci's style of unfolding the mystery. Piece-by-piece, with no twists or hints and that might disappoint you to some extent, since you are only made to see the dark until the very end. However, I feel this is Traci's strongest aspect- to keep her mystery well wrapped until the very end. The chemistry portrayed between Franki and her banker boyfriend, Bradley, is passionate, steamy and adorable

The characters are once again so well crafted from being hilarious to scandalous to serious to dangerous. Nonna- she is the star of this book! I never knew that even nosy characters could impress me so much. Franki is same in her demeanor, only sounded bit more mature enough to handle her own shit. The rest of the cast are fresh, new and highly relatable with our every day characters.

This time, New Orleans enchanted me- crescent moons, psychic mantras, glittering and pink scenes. Traci's description is vivid and intricately laid out for her readers and that made me see things strikingly. However, I think Traci's evocative prose kept me glued until the very end where I finally get to see the light and that my friends, will completely astound you.

Verdict: With a glass of red wine on one hand, and this book on the other, will be a perfect read for any lazy, Winter evening.

Courtesy: I feel so grateful to the author, Traci Andrighetti, for giving me an opportunity to read and review Franki Amato's adventures and mysteries series.

Franki Amato is back with her whacky supporting cast. A few new characters are added into the mix.
Franki is trying to make a good 9f her relationship with local bank exec Bradley Hartmann. Brad is spending lots of time with his new drop dead gorgeous assistant. This drives Franki a bit nuts. She doesn't have a great track record with relationships.

Franki and her boss are hired to investigate a mysterious death at a local New Orleans plantation by the plantation's owner. What was the dead cosmetic company owner doing at the plantation after it was closed for the night? Was it suicide or murder? Is the plantation haunted?

Franki's meddling grandmother is trying to interfere with Franki's relationship with Bradley.
I didn't have this one fully figured out.
5 stars for me.

I enjoy the characters in this series quite a lot, especially the wacky landlady. Though I must say that the Nona more often than not gets on my nerves. I understand her motivations but she is a bit overblown, imo. Love the setting of New Orleans, that goes without saying! Two very good mysteries in this one.

A very good mystery in this book. I suspected so many characters. And the characters are good too. Franki is hired to find a killer but within the main mystery are so many other mysteries. In between trying to figure them all out, Franki starts suspecting her boyfriend of falling for his assistant. Her best friend and boss is avoiding her and a psychic has attached herself to Franki. I had some laugh-out-loud moments and thoroughly enjoyed this book

Franki and Veronica are back and business is booming at the Private Chicks Detective Agency. So much so that when a Cruella DeVille look-alike, Delta Dupre, hires the agency to look into a death at the Oleander Place, and antebellum plantation, Veronica gives Franki lead.

Ivanna Jones, cosmetics CEO, was found dead in the bed inside the plantation. A spitting image of one of the descendants, Delta, wants the murder solved immediately so as not to ruin her business. It's up to Franki to figure out what the police haven't. Then the bodies start piling up at Oleander Place and Franki starts getting death threats.

Add into the mix Chandra, the medium that Franki encounters, and Prosecco Pink is one wild ride through the south. The best part about Chandra? She's a medium that's scared of ghosts. Her character is great. She's able to assist Franki in ways that freak them both out but they work very well together. I hope we see more of Chandra in future books.

Let's also not forget former stripper, Glenda. She is a hoot in book 2 - of course, I would expect nothing less since she was a hoot in book 1, too. Out of her mouth flies some of the best one-liners in the entire book. Glenda's outlook on everything just cracks me up. And when Franki wakes up in a giant champagne glass - OMG, I couldn't stop laughing.

Woven between the deaths and threats, we are still apprised of Franki's romance. She caught the eye of hunky bank CEO Bradley Hartmann in book 1 and they are dating in book 2. Only, Bradley has a new executive assistant that has Franki's jealousy meter maxed out. Pauline is doing everything and anything that she can to cause tension between Franki and Bradley - and unfortunately, it's working.

Franki's meddling Nonna also has some tricks up her sleeve in Prosecco Pink. The antics cause undo stress on Franki and her parents are completely unwilling to stop the intrusions. I realize Nonna is just trying to help in the traditional Sicilian ways but I feel so bad for Franki.

Prosecco Pink is a fantastic cozy mystery that is also full of humor. I enjoyed every part of the book from beginning to end. I could totally relate with the main characters and sympathize with Franki's love life. It was really easy to become emotionally invested in both the romance department and the problems between Franki and Bradley, as well as in the emotions surrounding the main mystery of the novel.

Prosecco Pink is a quick and entertaining read that will keep you on the edge of your seat wanting to know where each clue or plot thread was going to lead. The entire book is engaging without a dull moment. The murderer is cleverly kept under wraps, ramping up the suspense in a great way.

I enjoyed the author's writing style and amount of humor included. The entire book is descriptive without going totally overboard and boring the reader to death. The romantic mishaps don't overpower the main intentions of the novel but are balanced nicely. I highly recommend this to readers who love the cozy, humorous, quick, and easy reads.

Franki Amato is working as a private investigator in New Orleans. Things aren't going to well for her though. The guy she's dating has a sexy new secretary that Franki doesn't trust. Her Nonna is causing trouble by planning her engagement party, even though Bradley has no plans to propose. Franki is the lead investigator on a murder case at an old plantation home. It’s rumored to be haunted. When more people start dying she has to rush to solve the murder before she's next.

I really enjoyed this book. I read the first book and really loved it. I was happy and excited to read this. It had all the wacky and silly antics of the first one.

I like Franki. She is an interesting character. She's pretty odd and then she gets herself into some pretty sticky situations. I have to say her obsession with food and eating is hilarious and I love it. I totally relate to that.

I was a little annoyed with the Bradley thing. Can't they just have some normal happiness? I liked him more in the first book. I hope he gets to be better in the next one. I loved nonna. She was so funny and I loved her crazy Sicilian meddling.

I really enjoyed this story and I can't wait for the next one, and to see what Franki and her friends get into next.

A delightful sequel to Limoncello Yellow. Franki is an ex-police officer from Texas and now works as a private investigator for her best friend. A little spying on her boyfriend and his secretary may have turned messy, but that doesn’t discourage her from keeping an eye on that smirky, manipulative office trash. Then a request to investigate a death at a River Road plantation introduces a plot filled with twists, turns, dead bodies and a psychic medium who may or may not be for real. Just as the case gets really complicated, Franki realizes that she is really alone in this investigation.

Franki Amato is on the case! Even when mysterious packages warn her from an investigation at a haunted plantation Franki perseveres - despite the absolute mess her love life is in.

There aren't too many PIs around who lead the life that Franki does, thank goodness. Each story feels like she trying to swim upstream against a whoosh of crazy people. One thing's for sure: it's very difficult to forget who anyone is.

The mystery itself was a twisting and turning entity. It takes a while to unravel the plot and the reader is always one step behind Franki (as it should be). Having to work for the reveal added a lot to the solve.

The one thing that stuck in my craw was the snide remarks made about the size of Franki's figure. The illustration (both on the cover of this book and others in the series) shows a very slender female with an impossibly tiny waist. There seems to be some sort of a disconnect.

I see that some have recommended this series for Stephanie Plum readers, but I'd say Franki Amato is for those readers who found Janet Evanovich's writing a little tame.

I received a complimentary copy of this book as a part of a book tour for a fair and honest review. I rated it 4.5 out of 5 Stars.

Colorful characters, antebellum mansions and life in the Big Easy take center stage in Prosecco Pink, Traci Andrighetti’s newest addition to the Franki Amato Mystery series. Picking up shortly where the first book, Limoncello Yellow, left off, we find Franki knee deep in mud and fending off alligators while keeping an eye on Bradley Hartmann, new boyfriend and bank executive. When Franki’s boss, and best friend, Veronica Maggio puts her in charge of solving the murder of a cosmetics CEO, Franki finds herself on a haunted plantation fending off ghosts and trying to solve a crime involving pink lip gloss and employees dropping like flies.

Ms. Andrighetti does a good job continuing to develop characters in this series; while Franki is a little bit odd, she’s a fun character who always gets herself in outrageous situations and you can’t help but like her. She also has an obsession with eating and food, something I can relate to. I also enjoyed how Ms. Andrighetti continues to develop the secondary characters in this series; especially Nonna, Franki’s matchmaking grandma and Glenda, Frank’s sixty something landlady, who has some of the best dialogue in the entire book.

While Franki’s love life with Bradley should be stable and secure; we see Franki’s insecurity kicked into high gear because of his new sexy secretary. While she swears she trusts Brad, she admits she just can’t trust a secretary who’s too perfect to be true. While dealing with her emotional issues, Franki refuses to deal with a haunted mansion and hires Chandra, a medium, to deal with the ghost. Only this being Franki, she’s hired a medium who’s afraid of ghosts. Fortunately they do find a way to work together and I really enjoyed meeting Chandra.

Will Franki discover who killed the CEO and what the pink lip gloss and legend of the pink diamond have to do with her case? Will Franki’s Nonna and her romantic meddling send Bradley running for cover? You’ll have to read Prosecco Pink to find out. I enjoyed it and look forward to reading Franki’s next case.

I really can't say enough good things about Traci Andrighetti's writing and the world she's created in this funny, fabulous, sometimes spine-tingling series. I loved Limoncello Yellow so much that I was chomping at the bit to read another one of Franki's adventures, and Prosecco Pink did not disappoint!

The city of New Orleans is one of my favorite characters in these books, and Andrighetti paints a very vivid picture of this gothic southern locale with its sultry weather, moss-covered plantation homes, and murky swamps. The opening scene of the book actually takes place in one of those swamps where intrepid private detective Franki finds herself in quite a predicament involving two predatory beasts (I'll let you be the judge of who the more formidable foe is: the randy alligator she almost comes nose to snout with, or the she-devil secretary of Franki's banker boyfriend.) And that's just a jumping off point for all the action you'll find in Prosecco Pink.

Since I'm a history buff and have always been fascinated by ghost stories, the central mystery in this book was really compelling to me. Franki is assigned to investigate the murder of a beautiful, young cosmetics maven who's found, outfitted in a period gown, lying in the same spot where the dead body of the mistress of the plantation home was discovered hundreds of years ago. Before Franki knows it, she's got suspects galore, new corpses start turning up, and her own life is threatened (Who knew that a pineapple could be so ominous?) I can honestly say that I had no idea who the killer was until s/he made the big reveal in the final act, so kudos to the author for doing a masterful job with all the red herrings throughout the book.

I hope that Traci Andrighetti is a fast writer, because I can't wait to read another Franki mystery!

Franki Amato is back! And this time, Franki was assigned to lead the investigation of a murder of a cosmetics CEO in the historic plantation home. Not that the investigation was going to be easy with the plantation being haunted, and Franki received a few threats. Moreover, Franki had to deal with her meddling noona, and her boyfriend’s seductive, new secretary.

I love this book. Prosecco Pink is the second book from Franki Amato Mystery series, but it can be read as a standalone. In my opinion, Prosecco Pinkwas definitely better than the first book. It was a lot more exciting, and the mystery behind Franki’s case hooked me right from the start. I’m happy that noona was back with her new scheme for her granddaughter. What I love most about the series was the supporting characters. They made the story much more entertaining. I’m looking to see more of Franki’s family and Glenda. I bet they’re going to be fun.

Prosecco Pink has the right amount of mystery, suspense, humor and romance. I would definitely recommend this book to Cozy Mystery lover.

Franki Amato is back in her second book. Franki is a P.I. working in New Orleans for her friend Veronica Maggio. She is smart, jealous, & has a funny family. Unless you have one like hers.
Full of interesting characters.

Bradley Hartmann has been dating Franki. He is a bank executive. He is always working late especially on days they have dates planned. His new assistant is a beautiful sexy woman who is trying to steal him away.

physic has a message from a ghost for her, Franki is asked to solve a murder, There is a missing pink diamond, Land lady is a stripper. Her Sicilian grandma is trying to plan her engagement party( She is not engaged) behind her back. Her boss is behaving different. It all combines to be a fun light hearted murder mystery.

It is full of troubles for Franki. Lots of drama ,action and murder in this book. Also lots of laughter.

The setting for this book is New Orleans. also a lot is set in a old plantation with ghosts.

I was given Prosecco Pink to read so I could give a honest review of it and be part of it's blog tour.

Fantastic!
This book was fantastic! This is the second book in the Franki Amato Mysteries but can be read as a standalone. However, if you read this book you will want to read the first book Limoncello Yellow, which is currently in development as a TV movie. Frankie is a private investigator in New Orleans, and her boss Veronica, is her best friend. She has been dating sexy Bradley but doesn’t trust his sexy, sneaky new secretary. Franki and Veronica are hired to investigate the murder of a cosmetics CEO. Franki also starts investigating her boyfriend’s new secretary to prove to Bradley that she can’t be trusted. Franki also has to deal with her matchmaker and interfering grandmother. This book has it all, romance, mystery, suspense, humor, and a ghost. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

This was my first time reading a book by Traci Andrighetti and it did not disappoint! I love books that center around female characters and this one does starting with Franki Amato a private investigator that works for her friend Veronica. Franki is also friends with flashy ex- stripper Glenda in the interesting city of New Orleans.
This fun read finds Franki tailing her own boyfriend Bradley and his questionable new assistant in the beginning but she really gets wrapped up in a new case of murder, a pink diamond, ghost, a psychic that's afraid of ghost and a southern plantation all while dealing with her interfering Nonna wanting to know why she isn't married yet.
Prosecco Pink is packed full of strange and funny people and places so you must read so you don't miss out on any of it.
I haven't read the first book in this series Limoncello Yellow but I will now and can't wait for the next one to see what strange case Franki finds herself dealing with.

Prosecco Pink Review
This book has more twists and turns than the roads along the Amalfi Coast!
It is even better than the first book in the series and that is saying a lot! Quirky, funny and a super-fast read. I had a hard time putting it down! Franki is back and she gets into even funnier situations – I couldn’t wait to find out what happened in the next chapter. Ex-stripper landlady, Glenda O’Brien is back in true form providing lots of laughs. Best friend and employer, Veronica Maggio is back but seems to take a back seat to some of the more colorful characters.
Harvard-educated, bank president boyfriend, Bradley is also back but will Franki lose him to his new assistant?
Chandra Toccato, the Crescent City Medium, plays a big part in this book and I can see a future (get it!) for her in more books! I can’t wait for the next installment in this series!

Wow! I wasn’t sure how Traci was going to top Lemoncello Yellow, the first book in the Franki Amato Series, but, she certainly outdid herself! Intrigue, mystery, romance, fabulous characters, and a barrel of laughs is how I would describe Prosecco Pink. I actually laughed out loud when Franki woke up after a night of pirate partying and found herself in…well, I can’t give it away, but it was hysterical. Nonna and the clan from back home are a laugh a minute. I was reading on my lunch hour, the part about Nonna having a conniption, when I glanced at my watch, and was like, Yikes! I have to get back to work! You know a book is good when you are reading during your lunch hour and you almost forget to go back to work! If you like Stephanie Plum, you’re going to love Franki Amato. 5 stars, and worth every one!

A NOLA Fan's Take on Italians in the Quarter is Prosecco Pink. This elevates both Franki Amado's & Traci Andraghetti's reputations to a new level. Limoncello Yellow had me halfway in love with characters & now I'm hooked for life. All females, Ronni, Nonna, Glenda, Chandra, steal your heart while the male characters often stir your ire. Throughout her highs & lows, Franki takes you on a journey through a side of New Orleans unfamiliar to most. It's filled with mouth-watering foods & drinks that delight the senses. What's next? Does Bradley have a part in this next gastronomic journey? I propose "Cerulean Curaçao" or "Galliano Gold" be a future title. I hear rumors that this might be a TV series.

I love this series! Franki Amato ex cop current PI in Nee Orleans with her best friend. This time she investigates a murder in a haunted plantation. Between dealing with the “ghosts” , a wacky psychic who keeps popping up to warn her of things and a rocky relationship with her banker boyfriend Bradley not to mention her crazy nonna Franki has her hands full with this book. Trying to sort it all out while her friend and partner Veronica is acting weird Franki has one too many mysteries on her hands. But with humor and brains Franki gets it all sorted in the end. Plenty of humor, twists and turns and great writing this book has become my new favorite of the series so far. I highly recommend this entertaining book and series!

This book had me laughing so much! Franki Amato Is so much fun! I love reading her internal dialogue as she meets all these different characters in her search for the murders that have occurred on the plantation. Between a stripper landlady and the psychic, her patience wears thin at times. Her best friend is also her boss and their dynamic is fun too. And then don’t forget the main love interest, Bradley! She has an Italian grandma who keeps trying to meddle in her love life! I did not like Bradley’s secretary and liked how Franki takes care of that situation! I was actually guessing throughout the book and the ending did surprise me! Who did the murders and what about that pink diamond? Read and find out!!

I just loved this book, even more than I did the first one (Limoncello Yellow)! Every time I picked up my Kindle to read the next bit, it felt like I was coming home after a long day, kicking off my shoes and snuggling into my favourite pyjamas, slippers and snuggly jumper - delicious feeling :)) ! And I felt that this book was deeper than the last one - still full of delightful antics and humour, but there was also a slightly darker, or more serious, side to it that made it even better than Limoncello Yellow. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great read and a great story :)) !

If you like your cozy mysteries with a big dash of humor, you will love this book. The characters of Glenda (the former stripper) and nonna are so well written you will find yourself laughing aloud as you follow their antics. Another big plus with this book is that the main mystery kept me guessing until the end and the secondary mystery was well plotted also. Several twists and turns in the plotline kept me guessing the whole way through. Franki is a very likeable protagonist and I look forward to solving several more mysteries with her in the future.

This is the first book by Traci Andrighetti that I have read. It definitely won't be my last! Franki is a private investigator. She believes she has found her Mr. Right in Bradley. Bradley has a new secretary that Franki does not trust. While Franki is investigating a murder, Bradley is becoming more distant. Can Franki solve the murder and discover why Bradley is becoming more distant? Read and find out! This is the second book in the series, but can be read as a stand-alone. I will definitely be going back to read the first book!

Wonderful!

Frankie Amato is a private investigator, working in New Orleans. She is hired to investigate a murder at an old plantation. During the course of her investigation she literally bumps into Chandra, a psychic medium who seems to always be there when she is needed.

In a side story, Frankie is worried about her boyfriend working long hours with his beautiful assistant.

This is the second book in the series and I haven't read the first. I definitely intend to buy it soon!

Buena!

I have read the 1st 2 of this series in 2 days and I'm starting the 3rd immediately.
Such a fun, snarky, Italian PI, I just adore this series.
It's so nice and frothy, like milk straight from the steamer on the espresso machine.
Ms Andrighetti has made the perfect Italian treat and it does it without the calories.
I enjoyed trying to figure out the mystery along with the main character.
BTW my 1st grandchild said "Nonna" for the 1st time while I was reading Limon cello Yellow
Buena!

Good read

I read the first book in the series in a box set that I purchased and loved it. It was funny and good mystery. I had to download the second book immediately and hope there is a third. The second book is as good, if not better. Franki is smart, funny and real. The people who surround her are hilarious. She solves her cases by hard, diligent work, with a little help from her friends. Highly recommend.

Just finished This book and absolutely loved it. One of the things that I like is that Franki is an average girl with the same insecurities that most people have. She is not a super-sleuth that can solve a case with a roll of duct tape and rope. She fumbles her way thru life and cases, all while trying to navigate thru a relationship and her relationship with her Nonna (Grandmother) and her Italian family. This is definitely a must read book!!!

What's not to like? An ex cop working with her bestie as a PI in NOLA, a pesky meddling family, murders on an old plantation, and lots of situational and verbal humor. Toss in a nasty secretary digging her claws into Frankie's boyfriend, death threats, and a medium who's afraid of ghosts, and you have a really excellent read. Oh, don't forget the ex stripper landlady!
I got the audio edition, and Madeline Mrozek really knows how to interpret the characters to perfection.
