The wait is finally over! Get the second book in the Satine Tierney series, out now!
Synopsis:
As if being newly cursed and wanted for her blood wasn't bad enough, Satine Tierney now owes a very powerful vampire a favor for her help in saving her life. So when Nyathera summons her to the Halloween grand opening of "Ephemeral", a new vampire hotel and casino in Las Vegas, to be paraded around at an all-important treaty-signing, Satine has no choice but to show up. And that's when things get really bad.
Supernatural beings from around the country begin mysteriously disappearing, just as a powerful faction of deadly wizards resurfaces, and, oh yeah--what's up with that bizarre (literally underground) fight club out in the desert?
This is not your typical "vampire book". It's fun and funny, and a fast read. Just think if the vampires were forced to run The X-files, how would they manage to hunt down the Supernatural creatures while also avoiding giving away their own secrets? We find out Desmond and Quinn's secret (no, they are not vampires ;)) and are introduced into some great new characters--A Mage named Capricorn who hasn't used magic in years, and a good ol' human ex-cop, now bowling alley owner, Hannick, who just wants to be left out of the craziness, but gets sucked in anyway when dead bodies start showing up on the back step of the new Vampire casino in Las Vegas.
The whole gang from "Cursed" is back to help out (ok, they're pretty much summoned by) Nya to try to figure out this mess before the opening of her new casino, "Ephemeral", which is the American version of the European Vampire Club, "Enigmatico", which we briefly saw in the first book.
Meanwhile Desmond and Satine haven't seen each other since they were bound together by The Curse, and things definitely don't go as planned.
Great book! Definitely recommend if you're a fan of Charlaine Harris or Karen Chance. :)
